Tarot Card of the Day for August 30

 Six of Wands

27

This suit, most often called “Wands” and sometimes called “Rods” or “Staves,” represents initiative, ambition, drive and desire. This is the suit of enterprise and risk-taking.

The Six of this suit points to the respect and acknowledgment due to you for your efforts to solve the problems of your community. The image is usually of a victory parade, after the celebrated leader helped troops win a pivotal battle.

It took the whole tribe to win the victory, of course, but it was the leader’s heroism and clarity under pressure that inspired them to overcome. The team is thrilled that the leader led them to victory. This card points to a time to let everyone relax and celebrate — if you are the leader, let them applaud you. They are seeing their better selves reflected in you — a victory indeed!

New Zodiac Signs: Ophiuchus

Written by Admin of Horoscopes-Love.eu
In the world of astronomy there is some shocking news from the Minnesota Planetarium Society which announced that they have discovered the moon’s gravitational pull on Earth and its affect on the alignment of  stars which has  pushed them by about a month.  What’s this mean for those that look to the stars and get a daily scoop on their horoscope to have an insight into their life?  It means the signs may be changing.  For example, when astrologers say that the sun is in Pisces, it really is not in Pisces.

When a person is born, they are born under a sign which is determined by the position of the sun on the day they enter the world.  With the current news, this means that everything we though we knew about our horoscope sign is no longer correct.  Since the inception of astrology it has had issues.  Ancient Babylonians had 13 constellations, but only wanted 12, so they threw out the snake holder, Ophiuchus.  During the Julius Caesar era, Libra entered the picture.  And, today Ophiuchus is now introduced.

According to the Minnesota Planetarium Society the real sign of the Zodiac should be as follow.  Take a  gulp and realize your personality just may take a turn!

New Zodiac Signs Dates:

Sagittarius:  Dec 17 to Jan 20
Ophiuchus:  Nov 29 to Dec 17
Scorpio:  Nov 23 to November 20
Libra:  Oct 30 to Nov 23
Virgo:  Sept 16 to Oct 30
Leo:  Aug 10 to Sept 16
Cancer:  July 20 to Aug 10
Gemini June 21 to July 20
Taurus:   May 13 to June 21
Aries:  April 18 to May 13
Pisces:  March 11 to April 18
Aquarius:  Feb 16 to March 11
Capricorn:  Jan 20 to Feb 16

Yes, Ophiuchus is new.  So, what should you know about it?  That Sagittarians and Capricorns have a new zodiac sign.  And, there are some must know questions about this new sign.  Our new addition to the zodiac chart is a man wrestling a serpent, dividing the snake’s body in two parts.  It is the only of the zodiac signs that is linked to real men and shares similarities to Imhotep.  What is Imhotep you may ask?  Imhotep is a biblical Joseph and  a BCE Egyptian doctor of the 27th century . Ophiuchus is considered a healer of men and a doctor of medicine or science.  He seeks enlightenment and higher education.  And, is expected to gain much in life achieving a high position.  Our new friend is an interpreter of vivid premonitions and dreams and is envied by his peers and favored among authority figures and by his father.  A very nice addition to what was already a strong family.

If You Were Born Today, August 30

Für alle die im Juli Geburtstag haben

If You Were Born Today, August 30

You are an extremely generous person who will bend over backward to help out a friend or loved one. You are that especially thoughtful person who remembers the “little things” about others. You are also very perceptive and people-aware. A humanitarian, you are sentimental without being sappy. At times, you may have a tendency to micro-manage your family and loved ones, as you seem to worry a lot about your future and your loved ones’ happiness. You may need to be careful with this so that others don’t perceive you as controlling or critical. Moodiness can be a problem for you at times. Learning to detach yourself and take a step back from situations will help you to better succeed in life. Your finances tend to fluctuate more than most. You are attracted to talented and successful people. You may have to deal with restlessness and changeability in your partnerships. Many of you go through many ups and downs in love. Famous people born today: Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Ashley, Shirley Booth, Mark Strong, Peggy Lipton.

Your Birthday Year Forecast

With the Sun and Moon in harmony in your Solar Return chart, the year ahead should be satisfying and balanced overall. You are in comfortable demand and personally popular, and you are able to achieve a decent balance between work and play; personal and professional life. For the most part, you are on top of your game this year, and positive connections with others can be made fairly easily. With the ability to handle your emotions successfully, there is less stress on both your mind and body. Your self-confidence and positive attitude will reward you!

Until December, you continue to benefit from a transiting Saturn trine to your Sun which was with you last year as well and is an especially grounding influence. This gives you a sense of responsibility and a feeling of directedness and purposefulness. Traditional methods work, and thoroughness brings rewards. Practice or refining a technique is favored this year. The approach that seems to work best with this aspect is a step-by-step one and the appreciation of slow but steady progress. Stabilizing elements in your life are appreciated.

This is a time when you feel confident and supported enough to pursue your desires. It’s a good time to take steps towards making yourself feel more secure and safe, and for family or domestic activities. This is also a period when you more readily support or defend your loved ones, and they do the same!

Energy fluctuates this year, however. If you aren’t too rash or impulsive, you might be able to free yourself from restrictive circumstances. You could also have more courage than usual to do things that break the routine, and confrontations engaged in this year could clear the air and help you to move forward.

You might also watch for a tendency to overstate and to neglect important details when making plans. You may have so very many ideas that you end up implementing none if you’re not careful! You are likely to have increased opportunities for travel and/or new learning experiences.

Intensity can characterize your personal relationships and romantic attachments. Passions, feelings of jealousy, and possessiveness run high. You may deal with these emotions in yourself, but you may also need to handle the jealousies and possessiveness of a partner. You might also experience compulsive attractions and attachments, or attraction to complicated love relationships. As well, you may have some tension over your personal finances, and/or need to make a large payment that necessitates changes in your spending habits. Finances may be complicated, such as power struggles with money. You are also very determined to make changes which can be good for you in the long run.

Even so, you’re likely to strengthen and solidify another key relationship. Renewed ties to old friends are possible, or a new sense of responsibility in existing friendships, are also highly likely.

Idealistic and humanitarian goals or impulses surface this year. Making connections with others from different backgrounds may figure strongly. Widening your mind through unusual or different experiences can be part of the picture. You more easily make personal sacrifices for what you believe to be the greater good this year.

Fortunately, transiting Uranus harmonizes with your Sun from June 2019 forward. Your personality is sparkling during this period, which is sure to attract new circumstances and people into your life. Exciting (not jarring) changes and new interests characterize the period ahead. It’s easier than ever to express your unique individuality, and if this involves changing careers or jobs, a new love affair, or an entirely new hobby, it’s something that takes you forward into unexplored territory. You are more willing to adapt to new circumstances, ideas, and unfamiliar situations. It’s a good time to join organizations and groups and to attend meetings or social events. You can find creative solutions to problems now. Flexibility is the key to success under this influence.

It is easier than ever to express your individuality in a manner that is true to you in the year ahead. In certain areas of your life, you’re inclined to rock the boat this year so that you can break free from a limiting situation. Be mindful when/if making sweeping changes. Some relationships (or a key one) can be turbulent, while another strengthens. Special care with finances is wise this year. Teaching and learning can be in strong focus.

2018 is a Number Four year for you. Ruled by Uranus. This is a year of work and development. It’s “nose to the grindstone” time. It’s a time to pay special attention to practical matters, and it’s not a time to be lazy or especially gregarious. Sometimes, it can be a year that feels hard, monotonous and routine, and/or lonely. Positive new relationships are often not formed in a Four personal year. However, it can be a wonderful year for building, development, and laying a solid foundation for future successes. Advice – get yourself organized, work to build your resources, keep busy.

2019 will be a Number Five year for you. Ruled by Mercury. This is a year of discovery and freedom. It’s a time when exploration and reaching out to others brings opportunities. It’s a good time to advertise, promote, and sell. Surprises are in store, and the routine is broken for the better. This is a year when exciting relationships can be formed; or, if you are already in a partnership, new life is breathed into the relationship. Advice – explore, look for adventure, keep your eyes open for opportunities, diversify, mingle.

Your Daily Cosmic Calendar for Aug. 30

Continue with the enhancement of your leadership credentials that began yesterday with the moon’s transit in dynamic Aries. There are few obstacles to your path ahead in the early hours, but later on the moon squares Mars (4:05pm) — providing a not-so-subtle warning to steer clear of antagonizing associates and partners with expressions of anger. This lunar link to the red planet starts a 2 hour void lunar condition that lasts until the moon enters earthy Taurus at 6:31pm. Ingenious ideas have the capacity to assist you in financial affairs as Venus makes a contra-parallel with Uranus (9:39pm) quickly followed by the monthly union of the moon with Uranus (10:52pm). However, a strong emphasis on Uranian aspects can equate with a rise in anxiety and the need to expect the unexpected. Welcome a rock-solid approach to important business and professional interests as a grand triangle in earth signs begins tonight with the moon’s trine to Saturn in Capricorn (11:18pm) while another lunar trine to the sun in Virgo approaches – forming exactly at 9:43am tomorrow.

Magickal Applications for Thursday

Well, let’s see … abundance, prosperity, and good health has been our focus for this day. Now how about a little more information and ideas for working practical magick with one of our fascinating featured deities of the day?

Juno was the Queen of Heaven. As the matriarch of the gods, she guarded over women in every aspect of their lives. Juno was thought to have renewed her virginity every year. Similar to other goddess stories, Juno was a triple goddess-a virgin who belonged to no one; a mother and woman in the prime of her life, sexual and mature; and also a crone, powerful, wise, and sometimes vengeful (as she made her husband’s many mistresses’ lives either fairly unhappy or short).

There are references to an early all-female triad of goddesses known as the Capitoline Triad. This triad consisted of Juventas, Juno, and Minerva. To the Greeks, they would have been known as Hebe, Hera, and Hecate. Ultimately the triad became Juno, Minerva, and the male Jupiter. Jupiter, another of Thursday’s gods, was Juno’s consort.

As mentioned earlier, Juno, in her aspect as Juno Moneta, was the patron and protector of the Roman mint. The coins produced at her temples were blessed by Juno and imbued with her powers of abundance and prosperity. In another of her aspects as Juno Augusta, Juno was the goddess of an abundant harvest.

In addition, another of Juno’s magickal correspondences is the semiprecious stone malachite. Malachite is a beautiful green-banded stone that was also called the “peacock stone” in Italy. The peacock was a sacred animal of Juno’s, and the magickal energies of malachite encourage health and prosperity.

Thursday Is Ruled By Jupiter

glittery pentacle ^.^

Thursday Is Ruled By Jupiter

Thursday is a Jupiter day. Here is the day of the week for prosperity, abundance, and good health. Thursday is “Thor’s day.” This Norse god gave the day his name and many of his attributes, including strength and abundance. Some suggestions for Thursday enchantments would include: Wearing a regal and royal shade of blue to see how it affects your mood and your magic. Other colors for the day include purple and green

Carrying a turquoise tumbled stone in your pocket to draw a little protective and healing energy your way

Incorporating honeysuckle blossoms and cinquefoil foliage into prosperity charms

Calling on Thor for abundance, or on the Roman god Jupiter for the ability to peacefully referee a fight

Adding a few oak leaves—which are sacred to these Thursday gods—to your charms to see how much better your spell works out

Casting a charm with wheat stalks for prosperity, and calling on Juno Moneta to bring wealth into your life

Baking up some whole wheat bread and blessing it for abundance. Be sure to thank the gods for your family and your good health.

The Third Quarter Moon Phase – Come to the “reaper”

glittery pentacle ^.^
The Third Quarter Moon Phase – Come to the “reaper”

Now the threatening old man arrives with his scythe in order to remove, destroy, liberate, clean, clarify, and separate.

This is your “funeral.”

Let go of your fears and doubts and release them; let the detachment process occur peacefully. Don’t fight it, and avoid unnecessary conflicts.

Rest…

Let the ropes become detached.

Break down negativity and discard it. Get rid of negative habits, destroy negative or unhealthy relationships, defuse hostile situations.

Let go!

The energies are decreasing, diminishing on their way to the source, so let what you don’t need in your life decrease and go with them.

If objectives are not accomplished, or were not accomplished during preceding stages, this is the time to deliberate and ask “Why?” Instead of throwing yourself into hard work, work at getting rid of those inhibiting patterns.

Finish what can be finished now, and let other aims and objectives die, or leave them behind you in order to begin them again at the next stage.

Clean and purify your space. Wash clothes. Throw out anything you don’t need.

The Witches Guide to Thursday

glittery pentacle ^.^

The Witches Guide to Thursday

Today is the day for prosperity work of all kinds. It can also be used for healing work, whether that is a physical healing of an illness or an emotional healing. Also remember that you have to follow up your healing work and prosperity magick and physical action.

I can’t tell you the number of times I have met new witches who complain to me that their prosperity spell or “I need a better job” spell did not work as they expected. They’ll ramble on and on about how much time and money they spent working their magick….but, alas, they had no glorious manifestation of wealth or fabulous job that suddenly dropped out of the sky and landed in their laps.

Then, when I gently ask them, “Did you enchant your resume or application when you filled it out? Did you do a little confidence-boosting spellwork when you went to apply for the job or went to the interview?” typically they give me a blank, confused stare.

Nine times out of ten, their response is, “You mean I have to go out and actually look for the job too?” Um, yes, my dear, you certainly do. Magick follows the path of least resistance, which means it’s going to manifest along the simplest, quickest route. Get out there and hit the pavement. See what you can find. Times are tough and competition for good jobs is fierce, so you need whatever edge you can get. For folks like us, we’re going to get the edge by using our magick and our spellcraft.

Thursdays have such a rich source of magick for us to draw upon that, honestly, the sky is the limit. This is the day associated with the gods of the sky and heavens, after all. Get to know these deities and add their wisdom and magick into your days

Thursday: When the hammer is smashing up the skies

And we have just arrived to Thursday, named after Thor, the Norse god of thunder. He travels through the heavens in a charriot, wearing a special belt and iron gloves which give him extra strength to lift his giant hammer.

Romance languages based their fifth day’s name upon the Latin Dies Iovis, meaning the Day of Jupiter (jueves in Spanish, jeudi in French, giovedi in Italian). Jupiter was a chief Roman god, the god of laws and social order. His attribute was a thunderbolt.

On Thursday, August 30,We Celebrate the Goddess Ishtar

glittery pentacle ^.^

On Thursday, August 30,We Celebrate the Goddess Ishtar

The origin of this babylonian-assyrian main goddess was a semitian vegetation- and moon goddess with lower influence, but when these tribes arrived at the land of the sumerian kingdom, her cult reached the sumerian capital Uruk. The sumerian people identified Ishtar easily with their own goddess Inanna. After some time Ishtar became in the second millenium the highest and widest worshipped goddess of the Babylonians. The myths of Inanna became the myths of Ishtar:

Ishtars reign was not depending on a male consort, she reigned absolute on her own and united in her all the aspects of femininity. Her position in the Babylonian pantheon was the highest, but her family relations are a bit confusing: Ishtar was daughter of the moon goddess Ningal and her consort Nanna (akk. Sin), who were the Citygods of Uruk. In other traditions she appears to be the daughter of the sky god Anu, later she also became his wife.

She was also the sister of the sun god Utu/Marduk and the underworld goddess Ereschkigal (“Mistress of the great under”). She appeared in person wearing a zodiac belt together with hunting dogs like Diana or riding on a lion, her holy animal.

She was the Queen of heaven (Scharrat Schame) and the mother, who had born the world and still remained a virgin.

Her consort or husband was Tammuz ( sum.: Dumuzi), river god of Euphrates and Tigris, who was meanwhile also her son and her brother. When the world began, Tammuz (faithful son) came together with Ishtar in the world. She bore him, she made love with him and she remained a virgin. When Tammuz died in the summer and all vegetation died with him, Ishtar was looking for him all over the world. She finally found him in the underworld and brought him back to life (see Celtic believe). Tammuz was reborn and the vegetation could flourish again. Then the ritual-festival of the “Holy Marriage” was celebrated at the time of the autumn equinox, when in the Near-East the first rain fell again.

For the assyrian people she was mainly a war goddess (Lioness of the battle), but also the love and the sexual life belonged to her realm of influence. Moreover she was the Goddess of justice and healing.

This Akkadian/Babylonian Great Goddess represents a later and more complex development of the Sumerian Inanna, and her son/lover Tammuz plays the role of the vegetation-god. She is not only an embodiment of sexuality and fertility, a “Lady of Battle” and a goddess of healing, but it is also she who bestowed the ancient kings with the right to rule over her/their people. Her fame reached into the Hittite and Hurrian lands of Anatolia, to Sumeria, Egypt and to the Assyrians. Here especially – in Assyria and Egypt – she was revered as a goddess of Battle and is depicted with bow, quiver and sword; her prowess is symbolised by her lioness-steed.

In other sacred texts Ishtar is described as having “sweet lips” and a “beautiful figure” and it is clear that she takes much pleasure in love. Significantly, when she descends to the Netherworld all sexual activity ceases everywhere on earth. In this aspect her familiar and symbolic animal is the dove. Ishtar was also thought to rule the menstrual/ovarian cycle.

In the Old Testament her worship is regarded as an abomination, and it is Ishtar’s worshipers and her ishtarishtu (sacred prostitutes) who were to be found even at the doors of the Hebrew god’s great temple, much to the consternation of his priests and prophets.

As well as being renowned for her powers of creation, divine rulership, prophesy and desire, Ishtar was also regarded as a healer and we know that her effigy once was transported all the way to Egypt in order to heal the then sick Amenhotep III.
