Once you know which planet rules the sign of your 5th house, find where that planet is in your particular birth chart. This planet, when triggered in a positive aspect in the current skies (a conjunction, sextile or trine) will put you in a cycle of love.
Using my chart as an example, I have the sign Leo on the 5th house cusp. That means my 5th house is ruled by the Sun. My Sun is placed in Taurus in the 1st house of my chart. So I know that whenever the Sun in Taurus is receiving positive aspects from any outer planet in the sky (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto) that I am in a positive love cycle. Why only consider the outer planets? Because the inner or personal planets move too quickly to matter much when you are making a major life prediction. For the major events of your life to occur, the outer planets must be transiting one of your ruling planets, personal planets, or an angle in your birth chart.
So how can I use this example to illustrate falling in love? In Astrology, the best way to predict the future is to look at your past.
How it happened…
The Astrology connected to my 5th house and the ruler of my 5th house is uncanny! In September 1991 I met the man I would marry, but initially, I didn’t even like him. It took a couple of months to fall in love, and the Astrology corroborates why. When we met, transiting Jupiter and Venus were both in my 5th House of True Love, but Venus was in a retrograde cycle. Venus stationed direct two days after we met and this is probably the reason why I decided to give things a second chance. Sure enough, we started to date and within a few short months I realized at 17 years old that I had fallen in love with a soul mate. It hit me suddenly. I went from not liking this man at all to gradually getting to know him and starting to really like him to then, all of a sudden, realizing I was completely in love.
So what do you think was going on with my Sun, the ruler of my 5th house? At that time Neptune, the planet of dreams, and Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises, were trine my Sun! And Jupiter was moving through my 5th house when we met, then went back into my 5th house when I realized I had fallen in love…
Jupiter opens your heart
In fact Jupiter, the planet of expansion and blessings, was involved in a positive way to either my 5th house or its ruler BOTH times I’ve fallen in love. You will find in your own chart the same is true for when you fall in love, because the job of Jupiter is to open your heart. Yes, underline this sentence. Say it out loud: A significant love opportunity cycle can be predicted by a happy Jupiter transit to your 5th house or its ruling planet! So pay attention to when Jupiter is making its once-every-12-year visit through your 5th House of True Love or is making a conjunction, sextile or trine to your 5th house ruling planet.
Using this method I can predict when I might fall in love again. In November 2015, Jupiter will make a trine to my Sun, ruler of my 5th house. Then in March 2016, there will be a second hit of Jupiter trine my Sun, while Pluto will also trine my Sun! If I meet someone special during these cycles I will certainly tell you about it!

The following spell can be easily adapted if you wish. For example, my coven all created ritual necklaces a few years ago. One of our members had a wholesale account with a jewelry design studio, and she ordered everyone a matching silver pentagram. We were lucky that the style we chose came in a few sizes and variations, but the overall all design of the pentagram was the same. So everyone chose their pentagram, paid their money, and the order was filled.
On the first full moon of the year, when we gathered together, we created our necklaces. laces. That January night, a few members brought over their jewelry-making supplies and tools and the rest of us brought our own cords, beads, crystals, and our coven pentagrams, and we all created necklaces. All of us sat down on the floor in a big circle and started laying out our necklaces. We traded beads and accessories back and forth and helped each other with the designs. In the end, we had very different necklaces, all with the same pentagram in the center. It was a lot of fun, though I will admit that I had a lot of help with mine. Then, when we were finished, we consecrated them all together in a ritual.
In the interest of keeping this simple (the mere thought of crimping beads and lobster-claw catches makes me shudder), we are going for uncomplicated bracelet-making making directions here. Truthfully, the easiest jewelry to make is to string crystals, stones, beads, and metal charms onto stretch cord. Lay out your beads and baubles in a pattern that you like. Knot one end of the stretchy cord and begin to thread the beads and trinkets on one at a time. Enjoy the process-don’t be in a hurry, and make the arrangement of stones and beads pleasing to your own taste. Measure as you go to get the correct length for your new bracelet. Don’t cut the cord off the spool until you are about to tie the knot. When you have the beads strung long enough to fit around your wrist, snip the cord. Then carefully knot the ends with a double knot, and slip the bracelet on and admire your work.

To the Romans, this day was called Dies Mercurii, or “Mercury’s day” Mercury was a popular character in the Roman pantheon. A messenger of the gods, he presided over commerce, trade, and anything that required skill or dexterity. The Celts also worshiped Mercury and eventually equated him with the Norse god Odin (some spelling variations on this name include Wotan, Wodin, and Wodan). In Norse mythologies, Odin, like Mercury, is associated with poetry and music. Interestingly enough, both Odin and Mercury were regarded as psychopomps, or the leaders of souls, in their individual mythologies.
Odin, one of the main gods in Norse mythology, was constantly seeking wisdom. He traveled the world in disguise as a one-eyed man with a long gray beard, wearing an old, beat-up hat and carrying a staff or a spear (which brings to my mind images of Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings). In the Old English language, this day of Mercury evolved into Wodnes daeg, “Woden’s day,” or Wednesday.
Wednesday carries all of the planetary and magickal energies and associations of the witty and nimble god Mercury himself. Some of these mercurial traits included good communication skills, cleverness, intelligence, creativity, business sense, writing, artistic talent, trickiness, and thievery. And don’t forget all of those wise and enigmatic qualities associated with the Norse god Odin/Wodin, not to mention the goddess Athena’s contributions of music, the arts, handmade crafts, and writing. Wednesdays afford excellent opportunities for seeking wisdom, changing your circumstances, and improving your skills, be they in trade and commerce, music and art, or in communication and writing.

This card represents the dreamer in you, the idealist, the mystic. The Fool desires to do great things, but is often unaware of just how difficult great things are to do. He must always be very careful of the choices he makes, and remember knowledge is his ally. The Fool often symbolizes a new beginning, unrestrained optimism, and curiosity that hasn’t been dulled by time. While The Fool may well indicate a lack of experience or grasp of the pitfalls along the path he is taking, it is equally true that his lack of experience leads him to believe all things are possible, which brings even impossible goals within his grasp.
