Venus and the Sun in difficult aspect with Neptune this morning remind us to consider ways to satisfy our spiritual needs. It’s important to discern between fact and fiction now.
The Moon is in Scorpio all day (until Monday, June 1st, at 2:39 PM).
The Moon is waxing and in its Waxing Gibbous phase.
Mercury is retrograde. (Mercury is retrograde from May 18 to June 11 in the sign of Gemini).
The Moon today is in a Waxing Gibbous phase. This phase is when the moon is more than 50% illuminated but not yet a Full Moon. The phase lasts round 7 days with the moon becoming more illuminated each day until the Full Moon. During a Waxing Gibbous the moon will rise in the east in mid-afternoon and will be high in the eastern sky at sunset. The moon is then visible though most of the night sky setting a few hour before sunrise. The word Gibbous first appeared in the 14th century and has it’s roots in the Latin word “gibbosus” meaning humpbacked.
FAERY SPRITE WISH SPELLSprites are shy, reclusive, and exquisite. These winged faeries live in meadows and woodland glens. There are many types of sprites, depending upon their element. They like nuts, acorns, and sweet treats, and love to be flattered by mortals. Water Sprites are the marine counterparts of Leprechauns, who often horde gold and riches and reward the clever and true.
You will need jasmine-scented oil, nine nuts such as almonds or pecans, a white sock, and a piece of candy.
About an hour before you go to sleep, anoint yourself with the scented oil. Anoint each of the nine nuts with a drop of jasmine-scented oil. As you anoint each nut, repeat:
Helpful faery Sprites of earth, air, water, and light,
I ask that you please grant me my wish tonight.
Put the nuts into the sock, and hold the sock in between your hands. Merge with the faery spirits, and repeat your wish three times. Eat the piece of candy. Before eating it, say:
Sweet faery Sprite dreams.
May my wish come true.
Put the sock in your pillowcase and as you drift to sleep, repeat your wish over and over again. Anoint the sock with a few drops of oil now and again, and keep it in your dresser or desk drawer until your wish comes true. Afterward, return the nuts to the earth as an offering to the Sprites. As you do, say:
These nuts are an offering to the helpful faery Sprites.

However, should the need arise and you find that you need to protect yourself, your life or the lives of others, then you shall use the power given to you by the Gods and Goddesses to protect those who need protection.
2. You should only use the power given to you by the Gods and Goddesses as the need arises.
3. If you are going to use the power given to you by the Gods and Goddesses for personal gain, then you must see to it that there will be no harm done to anyone else. (There are many that do not believe in using our power for personal gain, but if you think about it, anytime you do a spell to help someone that is personal gain because you will feel better about yourself for helping, therefore you have used the power for personal gain.)
4. You should not take money as payment for using your power. Doing so can quickly take you over.
5. Using the powers given to you by the Gods and Goddesses for prideful gain will cheapen the mysteries of Wicca, Witchcraft, Paganism and Magick as a whole, therefore it is not wise to use the power for such means.
6. You must always remember that the power given to by the Gods and Goddesses is a sacred gift. Never misuse or abuse the power as it can be taken away from you just as easily as it was given to you.
7. This is the Law of Power.

You will need:
• A small decorative glass bottle with a lid or a stopper
• A clean dropper to easily add the essential oil
• A tiny golden sun charm
• 6 inches gold ribbon
• A label and a pen (to list the ingredients and to decorate and mark the bottle) /8 cup base oil like sunflower oil
• 9 fresh or dried sunflower petals
• Small chips or a tiny piece of carnelian
• 13 drops essential carnation oil
Pour your base oil into the bottle until the bottle is three quarters of the way full. Then add the tiny carnelian chip, the sunflower petals, and finally the essential carnation tion oil. Add the lid, hold your fingers over the top to avoid any spills, and then carefully fully shake up the mixture.
Hold up the mixture to the sunlight and allow the sun’s beams to illuminate the mixture within. Wipe off the outside of the bottle and use the label to list the ingredients and the use of the potion.
Finally, decorate the bottle by attaching the label and tying the gold ribbon around the neck of the bottle. Add the golden sun charm to the streamers of the ribbon so it is visible from the front of the bottle. Knot the charm into place. As you finish tying the bow, hold the bottle in your hands and repeat the charm below:

For health, wealth, and success, the charm is begun
The stone adds power and the element of fire
The sunflower brings fame and will grant my desire
Carnation oil to bring good health and to bind it fast
Now blend all together and make my witchery last By the power and might of this day of the sun This philter is magickally blessed, with harm to none. Store the philter bottle in a safe, dry place that will be out of direct sunlight (try an upper cabinet). Make sure to keep all philters and potions well out of the reach of children and pets.

Finally, it’s Sunday, the official day of rest. Not only do Christians acknowledge this day, but I’m sure many Pagans appreciate this day, as well. Everyone needs rest and lot of people need a good day to worship their creator (whomever or whatever that may be), however they deem fit to do so. With the Sun being the central theme of many ancient rituals, Sunday just seems to fit, in name and theory. Not only is it a good day to worship, it seems good to do more relaxed spells, such as, sleep, dream and rebirth.
Sunday Crystal Spell for Success
If you enjoy working with crystals, try this natural magick spell for ambition and success. Carefully look over the spell before performing it. Either set up this spell outside side or facing a sunny window. Opportune times of the day to work this sunny spell are sunrise and noon.
Gather one each of the following: a small piece of amber, a tiger’s-eye tumbled stone, and a quartz crystal point. With a safe, flat surface on which to set up the spell, place a yellow candle and a candle holder in the center, and arrange the stones in a ring around the candle. Have a lighter or matches handy to light the candle.
Speak the following spell three times:
Around a yellow candle I create a ring
Choose tiger’s-eye, amber, and quartz, it’s just the thing
I call the god Helios for drive and success
Today’s ambitions and career goals he will bless.
Close the spell by saying:
For the good of all, with harm to none
By the sun and stones, this spell is done.
Allow the candle to burn out on its own. Please remember to not leave your burning ing candle unattended. Pocket the sun-kissed stones and keep them with you in your pocket or purse, for a week.

The Latin term for Sunday, our first day of the week, is Dies Solis (“sun’s day”). In ancient Greek, it was called Hemera Heliou. In the Old English language, it was known as Sunnandaeg; in Middle English, Sonenday. All of these titles mean the same thing: the day of the sun.

Saturn at Opposition

Explanation: Telescopic observers on Earth have been treated to spectacular views of Saturn lately as the ringed planet reached its 2015 opposition on May 23 at 0200 UT. Of course opposition means opposite the Sun in Earth’s sky. So near opposition Saturn is up all night, at its closest and brightest for the year. These sharp images taken within hours of the Sun-Earth-Saturn alignment also show the strong brightening of Saturn’s rings known as the opposition surge or the Seeliger Effect. Directly illuminated, the ring’s icy particles cast no shadows and strongly backscatter sunlight toward planet Earth, creating the dramatic surge in brightness. Saturn currently stands in the sky not far from bright Antares, alpha star of the constellation Scorpius.
Venus is a planet of sensitivity and affection. Its entry into the sign of Cancer marks a period of potentially greater intimacy and relationship-building for those willing to feel their deepest needs and share them with others. Venus in Cancer reminds us that love is a great nurturing force, one that binds relationships by the care that we give to one another.
We’re all likely to be more aware of the level of approval and acceptance we’re receiving now. This can enrich our connections with others as subtle patterns of emotional give and take become more apparent. However, it’s also possible that objectivity may suffer as vulnerability and uncertainty surface.
Venus in Cancer has a purity of feeling that puts us in touch with primal needs. Patterns of early childhood may become more evident for those able to step back and see themselves clearly. Others, though, may descend into infantile habits of petulance, withdrawal and denial of self-responsibility.
