The Witches Magick for the 12th Day of the Hare Moon – Better Body Bath Spell

WHAT EVIL LURKS? TOP 45
BETTER BODY BATH SPELL

You will need one cup of sea salt, one cup of baking soda, one cup of Epsom salt, a large glass jar with a top, lavender essential oil, geranium essential oil, a warm bath, a white tea candle, and a small mirror.

After dark, write the following affirmation on an index card or piece of clean paper:

Tonight and every night, I am
the radiant reflection of divine
beauty, grace, and celestial light.

Now, mix the salts and soda together in the jar. Add twenty-four drops of the lavender essential oil and twenty-four drops of the geranium essential oil to the mixture. Put the top on the jar, and shake the mixture slowly. Repeat nine times:

These bath salts are filled with divine, radiant power.

Run a warm bath, and put one-quarter cup of the mixture in the water. Put the candle in front of the mirror, and light it, dedicating the candle to your favorite god or goddess. Place the candle in such a way so you can see its reflection in the mirror from your bath. Step into your bath, and inhale and exhale completely, just allowing the tension of the day to flow out of you with your exhale. Next, repeat the affirmation nine times aloud:

Tonight, and every night, I am the radiant
reflection of divine beauty, grace, and shining light.
I am beautiful, loving, and successful.

When you get out of your bath, towel off and anoint yourself with a few drops of the lavender essential oil. Allow the candle to burn down safely. Put the piece of paper with the affirmation on your bathroom or bedroom mirror. Repeat it at least nine times each night and day. You can repeat this spell as often as you like. The recipe makes enough bath salts for several baths.

WOTC Extra – Things to Consider When Dealing with Spirits & Hauntings

Witch
Things to Consider When Dealing with Spirits & Hauntings

Here are some things to consider when dealing with a haunting:

If you are naturally empathic or psychic or are a magickal practitioner, well, then, wake up! You’ve been working to become more sensitive to the astral plane… guess what comes along with that? You little ghost magnet, you.

Psychic sensitives: be smart and don’t overreact to hauntings. It is the way you are, so learn to deal with it. As a psychic sensitive, you will always get a front-row seat to the show of a residual-style haunt because you will keep sensing, hearing, or seeing the playback.

If you are a psychic sensitive or a clairvoyant, then you need to work on desensitizing yourself to the particular problem area in your (or someone else’s) home. Try acknowledging the memory. Say something out loud like this: “I acknowledge your memories. Go find peace and be at rest.”

Nobody panic. Be cool. When you are confronted by this type of situation, you should react in a calm and controlled way— especially if you are a Witch or a paranormal investigator. People around you will take their cues from you and react accordingly. If the Witch is standing strong and confidently while everyone else is panicking over a manifestation, it makes other folks wind down.

Finally, consider this: as psychics and Witches, this paranormal scene is a part of our world. Not every Witch is a ghost buster, but if you choose to be a paranormal investigator, then be a voice of calm reason during investigations, and show others there is nothing to fear. You are a role model. So do your homework, study up, and act accordingly. One of the best books I have found on this topic is The Ghost Hunter’s Survival Guide by Michelle Belanger.
You may also find it helpful while dealing with a “haunting” to cleanse the home by working a banishing spell.

Let’s Talk Witch – House Cleansing & Ghost

Halloween Magic...♥♥♥.Original by Oº°‘¨ ዠippվርዠiርk33 ¨‘°ºO.House Cleansing and Ghosts

For those of you who want to know the basic lowdown on ghosts, here you go. Keep in mind that often when folks are convinced they have a haunting, what they are actually experiencing is old, stale energy and trapped memories in the home. Read over this information with an open mind, and see what you can discover.

To begin with, often a house that seems haunted is simply a home filled with negativity or discordant energy. If you think you are dealing with a haunted location, your first order of business is to have the homeowners clean the house. Seriously. Stale energy is trapped energy. Dust, dirt, neglect, and clutter create a residual energy and give all that old emotional residue nooks and crannies to hide in. Bless the home with salt, water, and sunlight. Fill the home with love and laughter. These simple yet powerful ingredients often banish any lingering negativity. They are simple fixes, true, and they work very well indeed.

Discordant Energy.
Easy definition: “bad vibes.” This occurs when unbalanced or negative energy builds up in a location. Simple cures include cleaning house, utilizing feng shui, and family counseling. Encourage the home’s occupants to clear the air— to calmly discuss their feelings and work together to change the atmosphere of their home to a positive and healthy one. Now, discordant energy can be triggered by hoarding and unbalanced emotions. The buildup of discordant or negative energy hangs heavy in the air and creates a sense of being watched. Also, if the occupants have any psychic talent and are suppressing their anger, it may cause manifestations of minor violence such as objects falling and breaking.

Poltergeists.
A “haunting” where objects move about violently. Traditionally these events focus on a teenager or pre-teen with latent psychic talent. The manifestation is not truly a spirit; instead, it is a combination of the youngster’s burgeoning, uncontrolled energy and psychic talents.

Etheric imprints.
These are like faint echoes of the past. When strong experiences occur, the energy gets “imprinted” on the vibes of a place; these can be positive or negative vibrations. They are usually minor, but the imprint may be noticeable to a sensitive person.

Etheric recordings (also called residual hauntings).
Sometimes the etheric imprints go deeper and are not only the emotions and feelings of a time but are actual events that are recorded. For example, hearing footsteps walking down the stairs or seeing a figure in the same spot doing the same thing over and over are residual hauntings. Though they appear to be “ghosts,” there is no consciousness, personality, or individuality in the experience. These are merely echoes of the past, aka etheric recordings, that have been recorded and are stuck on the playback here on our plane, or physical reality, for all to see.

Disembodied dead (or a traditional haunting).
This occurs when the spirit of the departed does not cross over for some reason. Some spirits are shy, quiet, and confused— and some are royally pissed off and do not understand what has happened. Their own intense emotions keep them bound to the physical world.

The two most impressive styles of haunts would be a residual-style haunt and an intelligent, or interactive, haunt. A residual haunt is believed to be activity of reoccurring or traumaticactions from past events that leave an imprint on the environment. This type is probably the most common type of haunting. Because its characteristics are similar to the intelligent haunting, people often mistake it for an intelligent, or traditional, haunting.

Like intelligent haunts, some examples of activity are phantom footsteps, sounds, images, and scents. Major differences between this haunting and the intelligent/ traditional haunting are that this type of haunting is not considered to be that of a ghost and there is no interaction with the living. One theory as to why this occurs is that the energy is stored or absorbed by the site due to repetitive or traumatic events of the energy expended while such actions were performed. Similar to a tape player, the energy is stuck in the current environment. Over time, that energy builds up and is discharged, showing a replay of the event, and then the cycle starts again. Some suggest that atmospheric conditions such as storms may initiate the ghostly playback.

Secondly, we have the intelligent, or interactive-style, hauntings. This type of haunting is what most people think of when they hear the word ghost. An intelligent or traditional ghost may interact with people. The most common belief is that the ghost is connected to the place or its people in some way. Here are the traditional reasons that a ghost may be tied to the location or to the folks who inhabit the site:

The spirit may have died suddenly and not realized that he or she died.

The living loved ones are so emotionally distraught that they can’t let go.

The spirit is emotionally connected to or very protective of their living loved ones.

The ghost may have some unfinished business.

The ghost’s death was a result of a traumatic event (murder, car accident, etc.).

They cannot rest due to an injustice done to them such as disturbing their graves or remains.

Fear of the other side or judgment.

These ghostly reasons are generally associated with voices, sounds, and physical activity such as slamming, opening, closing, or unlocking doors and windows. A strong presence, a scent, or a touch may also be experienced. People sometimes see a manifestation of the ghost in the form of an apparition or a mist. In my case, I see a person just standing there smiling at me—who then disappears in front of your eyes.

Celebrating Other Spirituality 365 Days A Year – Lemuria

Goth Girl Witch9-13 May

Lemuria

In ancient Rome, May 9 through 11 was Lemuria. This was a time of great consequence and set aside to appease the spirits of the household dead, who were believed to be particularly ticularly active during the month of May. It seems that the most terrifying of the wandering apparitions were those of children who had died young, because they apparently harbored bored ill feelings for the living. The head of the household would rise at midnight and make the mana fico sign (the thumb between the middle of the closed fingers). He would then walk barefoot through the house and scatter black beans as a ransom som so ghosts or spirits would leave the other household members bers alone. Otherwise, they might be carried off.

Little is known of the public rites that took place at this time, except that all state affairs were in abeyance, no battles were fought, no business was conducted, and no marriages were contracted. It is, however, believed that the sacrifices made to Mania (mother of the Lares) on May 11 might have been part of the Lemuria, because Mania was a Goddess of death.

What A Beautiful Tuesday Morn’ The Goddess Has Blessed Us With!

The Web

You formed a web to capture me
It glimmered in the moonlight
Rain drops glitter like silver under the moon

You called me to the web
You filled it with visions of love
You made it strong to hold me with your words

I came willingly due to your words
I came willingly to the sweet sound of your voice
As the spider with the butterfly

You captured me in your web of lies and deceit
You thought that I had become your captive
You thought that you could play with me
As the spider to the butterfly

You forgot that I am not alone
You forgot that I am a daughter of the Goddess
You forgot that I am a Witch

My Sisters & Brothers came for me with sliver scissors to cut me
free
My Sisters & Brothers came with fire from their cauldrons
To burn this web of lies
My Sisters & Brothers came with their love and light
To destroy all that is you

They came with their Light and Power
They came and destroyed your web of darkness
They came and I was free

We are Witches and protect our own.

Flower Petal Spell Paper

Its time to break out the fun stuff guys! Magick User’s University is all about interesting crafts that can be useful during your travel through the world of Magick. Today, we’re going to focus on a project of making Flower Petal Spell Paper today in Spellcraft 101.
+ So what is Flower Petal Spell Paper?
Well, its a fancy name for paper with flower petals in it. There are a lot of great things you can use it for besides spellcraft, such as scrapbooking, making bookmarks, and other crafts. It all depends on how many flower petals you put in it, and exactly what purpose this paper is for.
+ Flower Petal Spell Paper +
The Flower Petal Spell Paper is great for spellcraft and writing, as well as looking generally beautiful for any papercraft you have in mind.
+ Materials +
Flower Petals (in any color!)
Any kind of paper (construction, newspaper, etc)
Scissors
Duct tape
Window screen (or anything like that)
Towels
Bowls
Blender
The Flower Petal Spell Paper will be used for a particular endeavor in particular: making earth spells. For these particular spells, you write out an endeavor, wish, or project that you would like to see come true or flourish, and then you bury the small spell paper in the ground in efforts to promote your desires! Its a great gift for someone, or just to keep for yourself. Below I’ll have a few suggestions written out in case you would like to present them as gifts.
+ One: Time for the hunt! Even as witches, most people are more likely to spend their time indoors (I know I do). So, time to go out and take a walk! Collect as many flower petals as you can! In efforts to help with my enthusiasm, I took a few plastic cups with me (along with my darling Lore), and we set out on the journey of collecting flowers.
Beautiful red flowers! I fell in love with the the moment I saw them!
The mighty Lore Sagemaker, forced to pick cute yellow flowers. ♥
+ Two: After collecting your bounty, head back. Cut out a square of screen, and fold the duct tape around the edges to form a stable frame. If you want, you can use something like popsicle sticks to make a frame and tape around that.
+ Three: Once you’ve made your screen, tear up some paper and stick it in the blender. Cover it with enough water to saturate the paper. And then! Whirl away, until its a nice, thin porridge/oatmeal like substance.
As for me, I actually don’t own a blender, so I got to watch Lore use one of her top-notch cooking utensils and beat away. She did a good job.
You’ll actually want it a bit more thin than the end result here… but this was as good as we were getting without a blender. Anyway, it will work just fine, but the paper won’t be as fine and thin (though I was surprised at how nice it turned out regardless). At this point, mix in the flower petals with the soupy substance and get it nice and mixed in there. If you have anything else, like seeds, this is the time to do it as well! You can also add a hint of cinnamon in order to make it smell nice!
+ Four: Using a spoon, spoon some of the mixture onto the frame. Smooth it out, using the back of the spoon to press out some of the water through the screen. Make sure to push any of the mixture off the frame and onto the screen.
+ Five: After getting the mix onto the screen, very, very carefully tip the screen over onto a towel (mixture down). Put another towel over and and press down on it to get rid of the excess water. Hold it for at least thirty seconds, continually dabbing. Once you’ve cone that, very slowly peel the screen away, until on the towel you have this!
Pretty neat, huh? Continue this process until you’ve finished with all of the paper.
+ Six: Once you’ve finished, transfer them carefully to a cookie sheet and leave them to dry outside. And you’re done! Now you have it! Gorgeous flower petal spell paper!
So what do you do with it afterwards?
If you’re planning on giving it as a small little gift to a friend, something general and heartfelt is always a great way to go. You can even write them instructions on a separate sheet of paper, telling them what to do with the spell paper. Tear the sheets into thin strips. On the paper itself, in ink, you can write either a notion, or a spell! Listed below are a few ideas. Think about what the person you are giving it to might need and attempt to cater it to them!
Good Luck
Sweet Dreams
Fortune
Good Health
Make a Wish
“Bring _____ (their name) fortune and prosperity, By this spell so mote it be.”
“Buried deep into the earth, Grow the seeds of wishes true.”
You can present it to them anyway you’d like afterwards. The project is a bit of work, but when you see the end results and how beautiful it looks, it will be worth it! ♥

February Birthstone – Amethyst

The gemstone representing the month of February is the Amethyst.  It is also a representative of the Zodiac stone for the constellation of Pisces.  Amethyst is a variation of quartz, and is identified by its long prismatic crystals.  These crystals have six sides at each end that can only show their color at the tips.  Though it can come in many shades, it is only identified as the color purple.  Depending on where they originate, this gemstone is unique to its region and the mine from which it came from. Amethyst has been found in Mexico, Brazil, Namibia, Zambia and also mined in the United States from North Carolina and Maine.

In the most of the northern hemisphere, the month of February can be a one of the coldest and darkest during the winter season. During this time many suffer bouts of depression and sadness. It comes as no surprise then, the Amethyst can be given as a gift to lift a loved ones spirits so that their birth-month can be a time of celebration, even in the darkest of times. It is more than well-known that specific gemstones have been designated to symbolize our birth-month. Each gemstone in the Gregorian calendar offer certain gifts of positive energy to their owners according to the season and time of year. When one is in touch with the specific powers and special energies from each precious stone, they will be gifted with many positive attributes to last throughout their lives.

The name “amethyst” is Greek for “not drunken”, and believed that it would deter the effects of drinking alcohol in excess.  In saying this, it comes as no surprise that it symbolizes sobriety, which in turn might bring one wisdom and security.  A Greek, mythological story tells that, Dionysus, the god of intoxication, one day had been outraged by an insult from a mortal he had encountered, who then created Tigers to deal his wish to have revenge on the mortal.  Amethyst, a young maiden who was on her way to pay tribute to the goddess Diana, happened to appear in her path en route.  She turned a statue in to a crystalline quartz, so as to protect Amethyst from the apparent danger.  At the sight of the beautiful stone, she cried tears of wine.  Her tears stained the quartz purple, then was born amethyst.

The color purple in itself was the color of royalty, making the Amethyst noble enough to have been worn by powerful monarchs.  They are inlaid on the British Crown Jewels and were also the  beloved gemstone of Egyptian Royalty and Catherine the Great.  It is the stone of Bishops and is the symbol of piety.  For those who might receive an amethyst as a gift, it is also the symbol to create calmness and tranquility, it also grants balance in emotional times.  It was also worn to protect soldiers from the weapons of war and to give them victory over their enemies, also to ensure luck to hunters that they might have a successful kill.

The February birthstone of amethyst is also referred to as the “stone of lovers” and is the stone of St. Valentine, who is told to have always worn it.  During the days of romance and chivalry in the Middle ages, an amethyst in the shape of a heart created the greatest earthly passion a couple to remain in love  for the rest of their lives.
