Unless you’re in a sleep-induced coma, you’ve got to feel the energetic shifts happening these days. Welcome to April — the most challenging month of the year. Quite possibly this will be the most challenging month for years to come.
Current Astrology is certainly foreboding, with it being eclipse season and the coming precise alignment of a Cardinal Grand Cross. Times are changing, and if you have planets or personal angles in your horoscope in Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn, your life is most certainly under construction these days.
Times of transformation aren’t easy, but don’t worry — you’re not alone. I recently gave a teleconference to my beloved website members, going into detail about the Astrology of April and what it potentially means for you, me and the rest of our planet. The one thing you can be certain of is that whatever you’re going through, it’s not happening in isolation. We’re in this together.
In my birth chart I have Mars in Cancer at 11 degrees. Because I have Aries rising, Mars is my chart ruler, making this planet a very strong presence in my psyche. In addition, Mars is close to an angle in my chart, the 4th house cusp. I tell my students all the time that when you have a planet on an angle it’ll certainly make extra noise in your life. It must, because the angles of any chart are points of energy manifestation. It’s where all the magic happens!
Besides this, my 4th and 10th house axis is at 13.5 degrees of Cancer and Capricorn. Guess what? The Cardinal Cross peaks the week of April 20 at 13 and one half degrees! Yes, I am receiving a direct hit.
But wait, there’s more! I have Aries rising at 25 degrees. The Lunar Eclipse in Libra happens at 25 degrees on April 15, and it will be precisely conjunct my 7th house cusp and my natal Uranus which sits right on my descendant. Another direct hit.
So, of course, I have deep personal interest in the Astrology of April. I have to — my world is guaranteed to change in a most significant way. Although I can speculate, I can’t be certain how this Astrology will play out. I just know it will be radical, uncomfortable change. And whenever Uranus is part of the picture, things happen abruptly.
Not surprisingly, all of the attendees of my recent teleconference wanted answers. They wanted practical advice they could use to help them get through any drastic, painful change that might be happening in their world. I did my best to offer guidance along the lines of accepting the cosmic soul growth acceleration package the universe was about to hand out to Cardinal signs. I told them to embrace the pain and use it as a strengthening tool. I told them to keep getting back up no matter how hard life punched them out this month. Why?

The crap I have put up with this morning is unreal. And to beat it all, it is my animals acting up. Razzy is wild as a jackass, Stinker is almost that wild and poor Kiki sits under me. But I have had to stop numerous times and break up fights. I apologize for this. I believe they are all pooped out now so perhaps I can get something done. Well at least, I am going to try. The Spell:
You will need to locate a fruiting apple free to do this spell. Place the slices of bread on the tree branches and pour the cider onto the roots. As you do this say:

1. Gather together all the ingredients you will need to make the potion. Light a chandle if you like, matching its color and dedication to your purpose. Be sure to place your candle(s) near your working surface as a focusing tool, but not in the way.
2. Draw a magick circle around your working area. For example, if you are working in the kitchen, draw a magick circle around the entire room.
3. Call in the Elemental powers to your circle. A shorthand method for doing this is by saying something like:
“I ask that the generous powers of Earth, Air, Fire and Water come into this circle> Come I pray you.”
4. Call in the spirit, the Divine, into your circle by saying something like:
“May the Divine Ones enter into this circle and bless this potion with their Divine power.”

7. Empower the potion once more with a magickal incantation and then use it immediately.

One of the plants that is said to be under the rulership of Mars, also this Arien day’s planetary governor, is yarrow, or milfoil. As befits a “martial” herb, it is said to have the power to remove fear, while its Latin name, Achilless millefolium,recalls the Greek hero Achilles, who healed his battlefield wounds with yarrow. This explains why its alternative common names include: staunchweed, Knights’ milfoil, and soliders’ woundwort. Credited with the ability to fend off evil influences, sticks of yarrow are also traditionally used to form the hexagram of the I Ching (Chinese Book of Changes).
