Good Tuesday Morning dear brothers & sisters of the WOTC!

After all these years of being off the internet, nothing has changed. It is still extremely difficult to find male related graphics. Not mention, the last site I worked on for the WOTC was on Yuku. Yuku was at least similar to MSN. But this site, is unreal. I tried all afternoon to get my photo uploaded into that little black square, no luck. I asked Mystie and I might as well asked this wild bobcat running around the office. Lady A and her pets. I have found out that the bobcat does not like men. It has literally put me in a corner and lays up on the files and looks at me. If I offer to get up, she roars at me. I have to call my sister over to hold the bobcat just to do to the restroom. I tried to tell Mystie to leave the cat put up till Lady A gets back. Oh, no, we can’t do that. The bobcat needs the exercise. And besides Mystie didn’t know that the cat didn’t like men.

 

Man, how things have changed? I can’t wait till the Abyss gets back and see if this insanity still goes on. I seriously doubt it. I could be wrong also. Apparently women and animals don’t like me. Putting that behind me, I am sorry I didn’t introduce myself to you yesterday. As you know I am Mystie’s older and much wiser brother, lol! I am a practicing Druid. I have assisted with the WOTC off and on since the start of it. I took some years off for personal reasons. I run a farm and it requires attention. I came down here and to stay with my sister while Lady A was out of town this time. I never dreamed of being put on the internet. Anyway, here I am! It is nice to meet everyone. I hope you enjoy the daily postings. I know they aren’t what you are use to but I can’t find the Abyss’ files on this laptop. Please bear with me, the Lady should be back either late, late tonight, tomorrow or the next day. I am beginning to wonder, is she really coming back? Don’t panic and think you would be stuck with me, she will be back.

 

It is nice to be here, Lady A has made this a very comfortable and homey place to be.  I hope to get to meet some of you and perhaps become friends.

As You Probably Guessed……..

Yes, that was my brother. Older brother, I should add. I just wanted to mention one thing, our dollar birthday fund for Lady Abyss.

We are asking for just one dollar to be donated to our birthday fund for Lady A. To say thank you for all she does for us. She doesn’t know about this because my brother has her laptop. Hopefully with your help and donations, we can say thank you to her and give her a nice birthday present at the same time.

Life equips us in many ways for very special purposes. Some never catch the right vision as to why they may be the objects of ridicule or the witnesses of cruelty – while others bear the brunt of many heartaches and still are capable of knowing compassion for those who cause it.

Jesus was such a man – He withstood more than we are able to comprehend, but He asked that His tormentors be forgiven for they knew not what they were doing.

It is our individual decision whether we choose to be one of the throngs of agitators who see only to confirm what everyone else is doing, or we can catch the vision of greater things and walk firmly in paths we believe are right.

To fall into the role of just another face in the crowd is an ill-chosen path, but to lead others to follow is the essence of parasitism – the need to have others be just as nameless and even more dependent.

Be still and know. The Medicine Wheel teaches the four directions of inner power-not personal power, but the power of God. These four directions are emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual. As our emotions get too far our of control, we simultaneously create an equivalent mental picture, our physical body fills with stress and tension, and we become spiritually confused. When we experience these uptight feelings, the best thing to do is mentally pause, slow down our thinking, breathe slowly, or pray and ask the spirits to help. Only when we approach the stillness of the mind do we get access to our spiritual guidance system. To be guided, let your mind be still.

Creator, today, let me reside in Your stillness.

Remembering is painful at times. It is so easy to relive what happened, and what did not happen, and we try to take all the blame. A fortunate few can look back and delight in the memory of times past. Most see it as a reflection of our own guilt. We know what guilt is. Why dud we not do a better job, pay more attention, follow a hunch? It is probably because we are better at hindsight than we will ever be in seeing things as they are now. Would we have done differently if we knew then what we know now? Maybe. But how could we see past the bend in the road? The best thing we can do for ourselves is to forgive. Forgiving heals. It clears the way for quality time – time to build and love, and renew and restore. It is what the Cherokees call, a da to li s di, a time of grace when we have done nothing to deserve it.

Feeling Our Words
Words Have Weight

The more conscious we become, the more we deepen our relationship to the words we choose to use.

Words carry energy and this gives language its power and its potential to heal or hurt. Most of us can remember a time that someone sent a word our way, and it stuck with us. It may have been the first time we received a truly accurate compliment, or the time a friend or sibling called us a name, but either way it stuck. This experience reminds us that what we say has weight and power and that being conscious means being aware of how we use words.

The more conscious we become, the more we deepen our relationship to the words we use so that we speak from a place of actually feeling what we are saying. We begin to recognize that words are not abstract, disconnected entities used only to convey meaning; they are powerful transmitters of feeling. For the next few days, you might want to practice noticing how the words you say and hear affect your body and your emotional state. Notice how the different communication styles of the people in your life make you feel. Also, watch closely to see how your own words come out and what affect they have on the people around you.

You may notice that when we speak quickly, without thinking, or rush to get our ideas across, our words don’t carry the same power as when we speak slowly and confidently, allowing those receiving our words time and space to take them in. When we carefully listen to others before we speak, our words have more integrity, and when we take time to center ourselves before speaking, we truly begin to harness the power of speech. Then our words can be intelligent messengers of healing and light, transmitting deep and positive feelings to those who receive them.
