Greek Style Wrap with Tzaziki Sauce

Recipe Summary
Prep Time: 25 Minutes Lavash ( a damp middle eastern style bread )
red pepper, julienned
cucumber, julienned
Medium size eggplant sliced into 1-inch wide slices, roasted until
lightly browned
Layer red pepper, cucumber and eggplant in lavash. Top with tzatziki
sauce.
Tzaziki Sauce:
1 1/2 cups yogurt cheese, with liquid reserved
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons chopped dill
salt and pepper to taste
In a bowl combine yogurt cheese, garlic, lemon juice and dill. Add salt
and pepper to taste. Depending on desired consistency, add reserved
yogurt liquid.

Yield: 1 1/2 to 2 cups sauce

    THE MINERAL ANDALUSITE

    • Chemistry: Al2 SiO5, Aluminum Silicate
    • Class: Silicates
    • Subclass: Nesosilicates
    • Uses: in the manufacture of spark plugs etc, as a gemstone and as mineral specimens.

    Andalusite is named for its type locality of Andalusia, Spain. It is a polymorph with two other minerals: kyanite and sillimanite. A polymorph is a mineral that shares the same chemistry but a different crystal structure with other minerals.

    A unique variety of andalusite is called “chiastolite”. It contains black or brown clay and/or carbonaceous material (often graphite) inclusions in the crystal. These inclusions are arranged in regular symmetrical shapes – especially prized when they are in the form of a cross or X.

    The Journey toward Soulmate Reunion

    The Journey toward Soulmate Reunion by DL Zeta

    There are many in the world who live alone inside their hearts, longing for “the other” they believe will end their loneliness and transform their world to a place of love and fulfillment. This is the search for the soulmate. Much is written about this search for the beloved, but much of what is said about soulmates is in reverse.

    To seek one’s soulmate in the outer world is to misunderstand this urge for communion that flickers inside every heart. Each being is the sum of two halves, the first being the conscious, physical manifestation, and the second, the unseen, spiritual aspect. When these two halves unite within consciousness, they constitute a whole being. “As above, so below” is a basic truth that helps decode many situations. It is true as well with soulmates. The conscious and subconscious minds are the true soulmates. When a person unites these, they are united in physical reality with one who is a reflection of their inner soulmate.

    The Un-unified Consciousness

    The person who has not yet united these two aspects of their own consciousness will draw into their lives others who have not yet unified their own consciousness. Instead of sharing a sense of wholeness, these two beings will have in common a sense of lack and longing that no one can ever fill. Such relationships are created at the soul level as a learning experience. Often this experience inspires them to search for answers. If you are in relationship and you feel lonely, this is an indication you have not yet come into a clear understanding of soulmates. A relationship with another is merely a reflection of the inner soulmate reunion; it is not the soulmate reunion itself.

    This outer quest for the soulmate will continue until one learns to transform their outer quest to an inner quest. The inner quest will in time unite the physical and spiritual aspects of their being. It’s when we reach a state of inner unification we cease longing for another to transform our life.

    This is paradoxically when a person appears as a reflection of one’s unified self. In this way, everyone in your life is reflecting to you some aspect of your self.

    Harmonizing the Conscious and Subconscious

    So how, you may ask, does one go about harmonizing these two aspects of their being? This is done by setting one’s intention to do so, and asking one’s intuitive guidance to bring awareness to the many opportunities for direct communion each day. One of the ways your subconscious speaks to you is in your dreams. Remember, write down and work with your dreams to begin receiving these important transmissions. Spend time each day meditating in silent communion with your spiritual self. Spend time in nature listening to the still, small voice within, for this is the voice of your spiritual self. A busy mind over-invested in the physical world will never find time to unite with its spiritual self.

    Once the intention to unify your “selves” is in place, you begin to create an energetic field that grows and expands with every step you take towards inner harmony. When you unite with your spirit, you begin to harmonize with all your selves across time. Since all-time exists simultaneously, your selves are manifested in different timeframe dimensions at once.

    As you harmonize with these other “selves,” you also harmonize with the souls who have played the role of your soulmate throughout time. The “other” who comes into your life to reflect the union of your physical and spiritual selves can be one of a number of souls along an energetic spectrum.

    I am sorry about no posts this morning. It started out a good morning. I got up around 7:00, fixed coffee, laid down in the floor to watch TV till the coffee got ready. The next thing I knew it was 11:14. Oh, crap, I had to take a shower, put on my makeup, grab a bit to eat and get a cup of coffee. I have long, red, curly hair and to keep the fuzz down. I put in leave in conditioner and then let it air dry. Probably why I have been sick so much this winter. Then not to mention I still had to wrap the gifts and we had to leave an hour earlier than the party. Remember they live 90 miles away for us. Then after that here comes my biggest baby of all, my hubby. There are times, men make me sick (sorry fellas). I mean it takes me an hour or two to get ready. How long does it take him 30 minutes if that long. I had been running around like a chicken with her head chopped off. And he casually gets up, climbs in the shower, gets out, shaves and puts on his clothes and he is ready to go (if only I was that lucky 😦 ). Anyway we get on our way to the birthday party. It was at McDonald’s, I didn’t even know they had birthday parties. My son told me that his mother-in-law’s sister won it at a local telethon last fall. We pulled up and apparently we were running early or else everyone else was running late. It was a nice Birthday Party. McDonald’s gives them hats and they get free happy meals and they also provide a cake. I skipped the cake and went for a Strawberry Milkshake. Boy, are those things good and fatten I would imagine. Blows my exercising all to heck. But things went better than expected. Of course, his mother-in-law aren’t speaking, which she isn’t worth wasting the breath on. We got ready to leave, grandma on the other side of the family came over to give me a hug and grabbed my necklace and commented how pretty it was. I think she was looking for little witches on brooms or little horny devils on it. Fooled her, lol! But your own kids can embarrass you more than anything. My daughter wasn’t suppose to be there, she is on call the weekend. But she decided to show up. Which I was glad to see her and her husband. We all sit together and I had on this long, black, shimmery ring, It has a very gorgeous figree pattern on it. The first thing my daughter does is to tell me she wants it. I said ok. Well she just has to ask at the top of her voice, “Is it cursed.” Why would I be wearing something cursed. Well you know what I mean? She ended up giving me the ring back it hurt her finger. My mother-in-law use to say, “If she knew then what she knows now, she would have had puppies.” I am beginning to see her point of view. But all in all, it was a good day.  I came home and passed out in the floor. I wasn’t planning on doing that. I have found a book with some sensuous romantic spells. If they don’t get your blood boiling, then you aren’t human, my friend. Well I am off to do some posting. Thank you for understanding about this morning and I hope you enjoy the spells.

    A home blessing meditation for charging a room
     
    Sit  straight with palms on lap, take deep breaths, relax, and move into a mental space where you activate your intuitive senses. Imagine a cord of energy from your spine connecting you to the Earth, and channel energy from the Earth through it. Silently ask for divine protection, guidance, and blessing.
     
    Direct your psychic sensing outward, and feel lines of force coming out of your aura. Note where the strongest energy is (check out the floor, ceiling, directions, etc). Note spots that feel empty or dead, note places that feel full alive, focus on where you are sitting and how you feel at that particular spot.
     
    Imagine a sphere of light and love energy at your heart, feel it pulsing outward with every breath. Feel the radiance increase with every breath, feel your self as a star, continue to breathe deeply and send out the energy, letting it pulsate in the room. When ready, start making power sounds representing the love and light you are channeling; use it to amplify the light you are weaving; and fill the room with the energy. Then shift focus to sending a probe out into the room, and note the differences in the quality of energy and how you feel about it. Repeat if necessary, When done, feel the completeness of the work.

    This is an extremely elegant and easy idea, but not always the cheapest! Silk flowers can cost a lot, so it’s best to get them on a clearance sale or perhaps dry some real roses.

    You will need:

     

    • Hot glue gun and glue sticks

    • Artificial roses or dried roses

    • Heart shaped styrofoam base

    • Red spray paint (or paint to match the color of your roses

     

    1. Spray paint the styofoam base in a color close to that of your roses. Let dry. This step keeps any white styrofoam from showing through on the finished wreath.

    2. Take off any stems from the roses, you want them to be as smooth on the bottom as possible without falling apart (keep the calyx on, the green “x” shaped part of the stem underneath the flower that holds the petals on). If using rose buds, just make sure there are no stems attached to the buds.

    3. Hot glue the flowers, face up, onto the wreath, completely covering it.

    4. Hang, using wire twisted at the back, or a pretty ribbon. Enjoy!

With grace and speed, foxes move through the shadows of the winter woodland. Their powers of cunning and agility have been invoked by shamans for centuries. To expand your powers of intelligence and energy, call upon Fox as a power animal. Since this is a Thursday before a Full Moon, it is
    a favorable time to call upon Spirit Fox. To do so, place a photo or artwork depicting a fox on your altar. Scent the room with a woodsy fragrance such as pine. Hold the image of a fox in your mind and say: “Swift as wind, quiet as night, Spirit Fox help me with my urgent need.” Let the power of the Fox aid in bringing a swift solution to any problem.
