Current Moon Phase for Dec. 18th – Full Moon

Full Moon

(waning/92% illumination)

A veil of self-absorption is lifted and suddenly you gain access to an unbiased view of others. This is a rare moment when you can see yourself objectively and become aware of whether or not what you want in your heart is actually beginning to manifest in your life. Traditionally, the Full Moon phase stirs emotion, and this is because when you “see” what is happening, you may become upset if you’re experiencing the “same ole, same ole” — rather than the things you would like. If the Full Moon phase is a disappointment, on the next New Moon it’s time to take creative action in the direction of your dreams

Your Daily Horoscopes for Tuesday, December 17th

Our emotions are running strong now, yet words have extra power as we dance circles around the real issues. The Full Moon occurs in interactive Gemini at 4:28 am EST, stretching the polarities between what we say and what we believe. Our feelings change with the changing circumstances of life, but our belief systems remain constant. The Moon’s entry into nurturing Cancer at 1:16 pm helps us to shift out of our heads and into our hearts.

Aries Horoscope

(Mar 21 – Apr 19)

Self-indulgence isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as long as it’s in moderation. But self-restraint may be elusive today as the Gemini Full Moon lights up your 3rd House of Information, unless you stay on your toes. You are compelled to share what you feel and your moods are intense and immediate now. Before going to extremes, examine the negative consequences of expressing your moods too soon. This proactive approach will help you gain a healthier perspective.

Taurus Horoscope

(Apr 20 – May 20)

You may be lured out past your regular boundaries of safety as the restless Gemini Full Moon rattles your 2nd House of Core Beliefs. Resistance is futile, but going along with the flow doesn’t necessarily mean slipping into denial if your values are tested. You might even feel as if you’re being overloaded with too much information. Thankfully, relief arrives when the evocative Moon sinks into care-giving Cancer later in the day, shifting the focus to your heart.

Gemini Horoscope

(May 21 – Jun 20)

You’re experiencing the pull of your own feelings quite strongly now, but it may be difficult to act as today’s Gemini Full Moon floods your sign with a variety of emotions. The biggest danger you currently face is a loss of perspective, making it easier to blow something out of proportion. Even if you feel strongly about your opinion, let the energies settle for a day or two before sharing what’s on your mind.

Cancer Horoscope

(Jun 21 – Jul 22)

It’s all about how you process feelings and then talk about them as the clever Gemini Full Moon brightens your 12th House of Destiny. The seas of your emotions are normally contained securely within your boundaries. However, you’re riding the emotional high tides and there may be little you can do now to keep your dreams, desires and fears from flooding right out into the open where everyone can see them. Fortunately, your vulnerability could ultimately deepen the bonds between you and those you love.

Leo Horoscope

(Jul 23 – Aug 22)

No matter how hard you try to meet someone’s expectations now that the Full Moon emphasizes your 11th House of Social Networking, you can’t really be everything to everyone in your life. Even if you are gloriously multitalented and multifaceted, you can still be pulled into something too deeply. If you find you are in over your head today, begin a gentle self-extraction from the situation. Expressing what’s in your heart doesn’t necessarily require the approval of anyone else.

Virgo Horoscope

(Aug 23 – Sep 22)

Today’s energy may bring a bit of emotional anguish as you wish the complexity of life’s circumstances would settle down. Your feelings are in the spotlight now that the reflective Full Moon is highlighting your 10th House of Ambitions. You might be nostalgic, but you must focus on the present and not the past. Make the mental adjustments necessary to balance your future objectives with the current circumstances. But don’t settle for less; just acknowledge that it could take more time to reach your goals.

Libra Horoscope

(Sep 23 – Oct 22)

You could easily spend your day talking with friends and sharing your ideas about what you want to do with your life now that the chatty Gemini Full Moon is agitating your 9th House of Big Ideas. Your emotions are all over the map today, but you are intently fixated on the potential of your own future. Although this may not be the best time to make firm plans, it’s a great time to imagine the plethora of possibilities that are in front of you.

Scorpio Horoscope

(Oct 23 – Nov 21)

You understand the big picture in theory, but in practice it’s difficult to apply what you know today. Your mind is on overdrive now as it runs through every possible scenario. The flexible Gemini Full Moon falls in your 8th House of Deep Sharing, intensifying your resolve to make the most of your current relationship situation — even if it’s not ideal. Let logic be your guide until the Moon shifts into emotional Cancer and you are back in your element.

Sagittarius Horoscope

(Nov 22 – Dec 21)

You are influenced by the inconstant feelings of people around you as the changeable Gemini Full Moon shines in your 7th House of Relationships. A close partner may be the source of a minor conflict now, distracting you from what you prefer to be doing. But don’t ignore the messages you are receiving today because you have something special to learn from the differences of opinion between you and others. Open your heart and listen to those you love.

Capricorn Horoscope

(Dec 22 – Jan 19)

You might not know how you got yourself into such an awkward predicament today. Unfortunately, you won’t escape from your dilemma by just walking away now that the Gemini Full Moon stimulates your 6th House of Employment. This is a very busy time and there are many things that need your attention. You feel tugged in too many ways and it’s difficult to know exactly where to begin. Take a deep breath and a small step. And then take another one. You’re already on the road to success — even if your destination still feels far away.

Aquarius Horoscope

(Jan 20 – Feb 18)

Don’t attempt to make everything fit into place now that the flighty Gemini Full Moon occurs in your 5th House of Self-Expression. Although you want full resolution, you need to let go before you have all the answers. It might even be fun if you take a risk and share your feelings with those involved. But you could have some apprehension, for you sense that things are not going to unfold the way you envisioned them. You may want to run out on your responsibilities today, but some issues are just too important to ignore.

Pisces Horoscope

(Feb 19 – Mar 20)

You feel as if you must do something immediately to exercise your control in the outer world, but the Gemini Full Moon emphasizes your 4th House of Home and Family, drawing your energy inward. You can think of each and every possible option, as if you were playing a game of chess. But it’s just too much today to keep it all in order. You may have to throw in the towel and just ride the uncertain waves of emotional change to see where the currents will take you

Full Moon in Gemini Horoscopes

Shifting gears under this bright lunation

Jeff Jawer  Jeff Jawer on the topics of horoscopes, gemini, full moon, astrology

The jittery Gemini Full Moon early on December 17, 2013, is easily distracted by a million and one minor details, which contrasts with the philosophical perspective of the Sagittarius Sun. The challenge we face is learning how to shift gears from the petty to the profound and to recognize the difference between issues of the moment that will fade quickly and those that require a longer time for deeper analysis and consideration.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

There’s a tendency to speak carelessly with the chatty Gemini Full Moon in your 3rd House of Communication. You could overload others with information or inflate a single fact into a major philosophical statement. Don’t oversell your ideas, but focus on developing key points and make sure that you listen to feedback while trying to make a point. Your credibility depends on the information that you share.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

This diverse Gemini Full Moon lands in your 2nd House of Money. The positive side of its opposition to the Sagittarius Sun is that it can open up additional sources of income. The risk, though, is spreading yourself too thin. You may be so pre-occupied by an excess of activities that you lose sight of the big picture. Exploring ways to earn more is fine as long as you don’t lose your principles or perspective along the way.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

This Full Moon in your communicative sign is likely to make you even busier than usual now. It occurs in your 1st House of Personality, which tends to increase the range of your activities. But it’s also a signal to play with your appearance and your approach to people, exploring new ways to connect. Don’t give in to the judgments of others, though, especially those who are rigid in their beliefs and ways of doing business.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

It’s understandable if you want to turn off your phone, lock your door and pull down the shades with this Gemini Full Moon in your 12th House of Secrets. Of course, you’re more likely to be swamped with activities that require your attention, but finding private time and space is a must. When you can get the quiet you seek, your mind will start popping with ideas that might even seem like miraculous answers to critical questions.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22)

This highly active Gemini Full Moon lands in your 11th House of Friends and Groups, which should keep you extra busy these days. You might consider limiting your social and professional commitments instead of wearing yourself out by being part of every event. Choosing the people and experiences that are the most important to you will improve the quality of your connections and maintain your energy level.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22)

This easily distracted Gemini Full Moon occurs in your 10th House of Career and Public Responsibility. The good news is that it can help you make professional contacts and take on interesting tasks. However, there is some danger of spreading yourself too thin or, for a conscientious person like you, stress you out with more obligations than you can comfortably meet. Learning to delay and delegate will lighten the load.

Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22)

You might have itchy feet with this restless Gemini Full Moon occurring in your 9th House of Faraway Places. The desire to travel and to expand your mind is growing, which could make it challenging to concentrate on one thing at a time. But the gift of this transit is to open your thinking with curiosity and, hopefully, connect you with people, cultures or subjects that will be new, exciting and mentally stimulating.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)

This communicative Full Moon occurs in your 8th House of Deep Sharing where it can open your appreciation for different kinds of people and activities. Discussing intimate matters comes more easily as you become more objective and adaptable in close personal and business relationships. Dealing with delicate issues is likely to be more successful when you’re less locked into a limited point of view.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)

The diverse Gemini Full Moon lands in your 7th House of Relationships where you may be challenged by the inconsistency of others. Its opposition to your opinionated Sun could be frustrating if you’re trying to sell an important idea. It’s essential to really listen to and respond to the feedback people give you as this will provide necessary information and keep doors open in personal and professional partnerships.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)

Adaptability on the job and in dealing with other tasks is the key to utilizing this flexible Gemini Full Moon. It occurs in your 6th House of Work, which can wear you out with distractions and diverse duties that are difficult to manage. Yet it can also awaken your interest in developing new skills and methods that can enhance your career. While you don’t ever want to be sloppy, relaxing your rules is recommended now.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)

It’s your time for fun with this playful Gemini Full Moon landing in your 5th House of Romance, Play and Children. Your heart should be lighter as you take yourself less seriously. There’s nothing wrong with being silly or youthful in friendly situations. Flirting and teasing come more easily and are very likely to get you more attention than usual.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20)

This verbal Gemini Full Moon happens in your4th House of Home and Family, which can increase activity at your house. The plus side could include breakthrough conversations or discoveries about the past that could lighten your load. But you can also be overwhelmed with so many people and events that you’ll need more alone time.

Daily Cosmic Calendar for December 17th

Whenever possible, it is always advantageous — from the spiritual perspective — to know the exact time of the Full Moon. This month’s high-tide of the solar-lunar cycle occurs at 1:29AM — activating 26 degrees of Sagittarius and Gemini. At or close to the official time, send out your healing thoughts and prayers to humanity in need of enlightenment. Think more about fulfilling your higher destiny and what your main role may be in the giant scheme of things.  Adding to the unusual quality of this day is that the Full Moon moment starts an 8+ hour void lunar uncertainty zone that lasts until 10:18AM when the lunar orb enters Cancer. It is during the unsettled conditions of the void Moon that Uranus at 9 degrees of Aries makes a station — shifting from retrograde to direct motion. [Uranus will keep moving ahead in the zodiac until July 21, 2014 when it will once again reverse itself at 17 degrees of Aries.]  All Uranus themes — revolution and radical change, ingenuity and intuition, inventions, the multi-media, high-technology and computers, avant-garde and eccentric thinking, the unexpected, jokers and jesters, surprises, shock waves, rebellion, agitation and breakdowns (especially regarding the nervous system) — are emphasized throughout the day.  Once the Moon enters its natural abode of Cancer (10:18AM), home and family interests wax in power. However, the obfuscating powers of another outer planet — this time Neptune — come into play as this ancient God of the Seas forms a caustic, 135-degree link with Jupiter (2:20PM). This dicey interaction between major celestial bodies only adds to the carnival-like quality of this Tuesday in December. [Note to readers: All times are calculated for Pacific Standard Time. Be sure to adjust all times according to your own local time so the alignments noted above will be exact for your location.]

Your Love Horoscopes for the Week of December 16th

This may be a destabilizing week when it comes to love. A Full Moon in Gemini on December 17 will leave us grappling with whether we should feel our emotions or think them through first. On the same day, Uranus will hurtle direct in self-oriented Aries. This jolt to our system might throw the balance of partnership way off — and your lover might even fall off the seesaw! Then, on Saturday, love planet Venus enters her retrograde phase and will backpedal until Jan. 31, 2014. With Venus in Capricorn, we’ll struggle with redefining our responsibility in a love relationship and relearn how to love ourselves with greater commitment. Yes folks, love keeps us alive. This week however, it might also drive us a little batty.
Aries Horoscope
Aries Horoscope (Mar 21 – Apr 19)

Prepare to be electrified! Uranus will turn direct in your sign on Tuesday, and aside from the ability to express your innovative side like never before, you’ll demand the right to do so in the context of a relationship. Be careful, however, because all of this just might backfire in your face if you’re too reckless in your pursuit of independence. If there’s too much “I,” there’s no room for “we,” and it’s wise to remember that a partnership is a delicate balancing act. Are you up for it or would you rather go solo? Only time will tell.

Taurus Horoscope
Taurus Horoscope (Apr 20 – May 20)

Everything you thought you knew about love is about to change. On Saturday, Venus will turn retrograde, and until Jan. 31, 2014, you might not feel as shiny as usual. This lackluster demeanor might be due to the fact that Venus is your ruling planet, and when retrograde her powers of attraction are not as dynamic. You’ll need to revise your self-worth concept during this time in all areas — but especially in matters of the heart. The rules of love may change during this time, and what you once believed was not aligned to your ideology might suddenly begin to make sense.

Gemini Horoscope
Gemini Horoscope (May 21 – Jun 20)

Tuesday’s Full Moon in your sign will leave you wearing your heart on your sleeve — a not so comfortable place for a casual, airy sign such as yourself. You prefer to make light of things and to display affection in an almost childlike way. With the Full Moon highlighting your emotional side, however, you may appear more sensitive. Your partner might actually welcome the change of pace. Then, on Saturday, Venus will turn retrograde. Anticipate a shift in how you and your partner divvy up resources and approach bedroom activities. Don’t worry — revising this area of your life will ultimately strengthen it.

Cancer Horoscope
Cancer Horoscope (June 21 – Jul 22)

Welcome to relationship rehab, Cancer! Oh wait, you didn’t reserve a room? No worries, the universe will gladly offer you a suite this time around. You can thank Venus turning retrograde in your partnership sector on Saturday for this VIP treatment. Until Jan. 31, 2014, you’ll be in the position of redefining your relationship and your place in it. What is it about your mate that leaves you feeling less than valued? What are you bringing to your relationship these days? More importantly, is the love still alive? All of these questions and more are about to be answered. Let the restoration begin!

Leo Horoscope
Leo Horoscope (Jul 23 – Aug 22)

Have you been caught up in a cycle where you’re enjoying “friends with benefits?” If so, a Full Moon on Tuesday will bring the situation to light, and you might change your perspective about this relationship. Alternatively, if you’ve been entertaining the thought of an office romance, or if you’re currently wrapped up in one, Saturday’s retrograde of Venus in your work sector will prompt you to carefully consider the pros and cons behind such an affair. If it’s love you’ll be willing to take any potential fallout, but if it’s not you’ll soon realize it’s just not worth it

Virgo Horoscope
Virgo Horoscope (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

With Venus about to turn retrograde in your romance sector on Saturday, you may begin to feel less than satisfied when it comes to your love life. If single, this cycle will not be an ideal time to begin dating anyone new. In fact, until Jan. 31, 2014, you may feel more disappointed in matters of the heart as you struggle with loneliness, or feeling rejected by the object of your affection. If you’re in a relationship, you and your mate might feel as if you’ve lost that loving feeling. Ask yourselves what you can do to feel alive in love once more.

Libra Horoscope
Libra Horoscope (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

On Tuesday, you might feel that your lover or partner is acting in a rather abrupt fashion. Unexpected behavior may throw you off guard, and if so try not to take it personally. He or she may feel the need for extra breathing room. By Saturday, and until Jan. 31, 2014, you might experience trouble between your sweetheart and at least one close relative. This pair might not get along as easily as you’d hoped, setting up a disappointing reality for you to accept. You might be in love with your sweetie, but it doesn’t necessarily mean your family is.

Scorpio Horoscope
Scorpio Horoscope (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Expect your most intimate needs to be revealed near Tuesday’s Full Moon. In fact, with this lunation it’s possible for you and your mate to reach a new level of closeness once you choose to face a demon you’ve had haunting you. Instead of automatically shutting your partner out of this deep part of you, allow him or her to help. You may be pleasantly surprised at the result. Communicating about your romantic feelings may become a challenge after Saturday. Re-read love letters or other correspondence between you and your mate from the past to help you move past any insecurity in this area

Sagittarius Horoscope
Sagittarius Horoscope (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

A Full Moon in your partnership sector on Tuesday might lead to a turning point in your relationship. Suddenly, you’ll be keenly aware of whether or not your union is flowing freely or blocked by a situation you need to confront. In all likelihood money is a factor and you may feel as if your resources need TLC. After Saturday, Venus will turn retrograde in your earned income sector, forcing you to pay extra attention to financial matters. Indeed, money problems are often the greatest source of strife in a relationship. Now is the time to handle yours.

Capricorn Horoscope
Capricorn Horoscope (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Are you feeling unbeautiful? Are you feeling insecure about your love life? Are you feeling stuck in a relationship rut? If so, it’s no surprise. On Saturday, Venus will station retrograde and it will remain in this weakened position until Jan. 31, 2014. During this time you’re encouraged to refrain from beginning a new relationship and instead work on loving yourself first. If you’re in a partnership, expect a reevaluation to determine whether or not your relationship needs are being met. Yes, this will be a sober time, but in the end you’ll know what you’re truly worth and what you deserve in love.

Aquarius Horoscope
Aquarius Horoscope (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

With your ruler, Uranus, turning direct on Tuesday, it’s likely you’ll feel free to exert your individuality in a close relationship this week. You may appear more detached to a lover as you focus on activities that make the most of your original spirit. Try not to leave your partner behind in the dust! By Saturday, Venus will turn retrograde in the most hidden area of your chart. Keeping romantic matters secluded might prove to be more frustrating than you think. Ask yourself: Why do you need such privacy now?

Pisces Horoscope
Pisces Horoscope (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

Your social life might become more complicated this week. On Saturday, Venus will turn retrograde in your friendship sector and will remain retrograde until Jan. 31, 2014. During the next several weeks it’s possible you’ll struggle with romantic feelings for a pal. Does your friend feel the same way about you? If so, are you both willing to risk a fabulous friendship in favor of exploring a potential love connection? Take things slow and avoid making a decision until after Venus turns direct. This might be the love of your life, but it may also be a beautiful disaster in the making.

The anxiety factor in humanity’s sociological state is being raised to high levels during the 24-hour time-span before tomorrow’s Full Moon and Uranus shift from reverse to direct. Even though nerves may be frayed more than usual, keep preparing for the illuminating energy-field about to descend into the physical realm from divine sources.  Helping your financial bottom line is an inspirational, 72-degree link from the Sun to Vesta (1:29AM). Adjust your thought process with the goal of being more open-minded and flexible in your attitudes. Trying too hard to make things happen your way can backfire with nasty results. Tensions are also rising in the realm of emotional expression due to Juno forming a frictional, 45-degree aspect to Uranus (6:10PM).  You may want to meditate or focus on spiritual studies as the Full Moon occurs early tomorrow morning at 1:29AM.  [Note to readers: All times are calculated for Pacific Standard Time. Let’s Talk Witch – Reversing a Spell With Fire

Let’s Talk Witch – Reversing a Spell With Fire

Yesterday, we covered reversing a spell with Water. Today, I thought we would cover how to banish or reversing a spell with Fire. If you already know this, please have patience with me. I know we have several new ones to the Craft. I am hoping they will find this info helpful. Thank you!

Reversing A Spell With Fire

This method of reversing a spell is particularly effective for magickal work that has been done with Fire. This covers the entire range of candle magick, as well as any magick intended to influence yours thoughts. Some people may want to use this spell on a regular basis at the Full Moon, for it will provide protection against all of the usual negative influences from others which accumulate in the course of a month. You will need a two cups full of dirt and a candle to use this spell and process. People who do not have access to dirt in their backyards may use potting soil. The candle type, use any kind you would like.

Take a small candle and light it. Place it in the dirt (make sure the dirt is in a fireproof container) while it is lit and allow the flame to stabilize. With a sudden motion, take the candle from the dirt and reverse it, extinguishing the lit end into the dirt. Bite the burned end off the candle and light it again, saying:

“As the candle flame is reversed,
so let all that opposes me be reversed.
As the flame has perished in the dirt,
let those who oppose me come to nothing
in their work.”

The candle is now left to burn out. When it burns out, take the candle and dirt out of your home. Outside, put the candle and dirt in a small plastic bag. Go to the furthest part  of your property and bury it there. Now forget about. Always remember when you do your spells and rituals, do them and then do not dwell on them. It seems if you keep fretting and worrying about a spell or ritual working, it won’t. So never dwell on any spell work you have done.

This way of reversing with Fire has been used for centuries. And I can testify is does work well. It can also be considered an effective curse breaker. If a curse is actually present, this spell often produces an immediate feeling of relief as soon as the chant has been said. In some cases the relief can be impressive, as the spell may be done by one person for another. However, when the spell is done by a Practitioner for another, it should be followed by a cleansing and a blessing.

Work hard to create a little comfort for yourself and others

Finding peace during intense times is a gift of the Full Moon in Taurus on November 17, 2013. This placid lunar placement contrasts with the opposing Sun in extreme Scorpio. Notice what works in your life that doesn’t demand much effort and where comfort and ease can balance out the struggle to stay afloat. Slowing down to smell the roses will remind you of the sweet things and your desirable traits that are often forgotten during difficult circumstances.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Simplifying financial matters can put you on a more solid foundation with this alluring Taurus Full Moon in your 2nd House of Self-Worth. Patience pays big dividends so take your time gathering materials and getting the training needed to raise your economic status. Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Rise to the occasion as the monthly enlightening Full Moon — energizing 26 degrees of Scorpio and Taurus — clocks in at 7:17AM. Individual and group meditations are encouraged. Send out your healing thoughts and prayers to loved ones, friends, associates, humanity and the kingdoms of nature. Reflect more on your higher destiny in this lifetime and how you can be an ambassador of goodwill instead of fulfilling personal desires.  You may have quite a few hours to continue in a contemplative mode since the exact time of the Full Moon (7:17AM) begins a void lunar twilight zone that lasts until 4:08PM. Let go of any stubborn behavior patterns that are holding you back from making breakthroughs in higher consciousness. Find time for lunch at a favorite cafe and visit a museum, art gallery or national landmark for a change of pace.  Once the Moon switches gears from earthy Taurus to airy Gemini (4:08PM), focus your attention on reading, writing and research. Start preparing for Chiron’s station in Pisces on Tuesday as it leaves retrograde motion to turn direct. [Note to readers: All times are calculated for Pacific Standard Time. Current Moon Phase for Nov. 17th – Full Moon

Full Moon

(waning/(98% of Full)

A veil of self-absorption is lifted and suddenly you gain access to an unbiased view of others. This is a rare moment when you can see yourself objectively and become aware of whether or not what you want in your heart is actually beginning to manifest in your life. Traditionally, the Full Moon phase stirs emotion, and this is because when you “see” what is happening, you may become upset if you’re experiencing the “same ole, same ole” — rather than the things you would like. If the Full Moon phase is a disappointment, on the next New Moon it’s time to take creative action in the direction of your dreams.

The harder you try to hold onto the way things “used to be,” the more likely you are to feel frustrated. Go with the flow.

Taurus Horoscope

On Monday, you and your mate are likely to enjoy an enchanting social time together. You may attend a gathering with artistic or spiritual friends, and if so the conversations are sure to make you feel extra bonded to one another. On Sunday, a Full Moon in your sign will bring emotions to the surface. You’ll wear your heart on your sleeve and it’ll be easy for your sweetheart to read you. You’ll feel more emotionally gratified when your sensual needs are being met. Be sure to let your partner know exactly what they are.

Gemini Horoscope
Gemini Horoscope (May 21 – Jun 20)

This week you and a friend may experience trouble with another friend. He or she may spill the beans about a private matter about your love life that you shared in confidence. You’re not likely to appreciate being the subject of gossip amongst your acquaintances, but this might be even more troubling if your sweetheart finds out. The situation will likely come to a head on Thursday and Friday, leaving you disappointed and raw with emotion.

Cancer Horoscope
Cancer Horoscope (June 21 – Jul 22)

If you’re single and looking for love, you might decide to schedule an after work first date with someone special this Tuesday. Make it casual — perhaps cocktails after work or even a short lunch in the middle of your work day. By having no expectations and keeping it low-pressure, you’re more likely to enjoy each other’s company. By Friday, Venus and Pluto will engage in a sultry embrace, stirring your desires in the most irresistible way. A second date will quickly become hot and heavy — and you’ll be game.

Leo Horoscope
Leo Horoscope (Jul 23 – Aug 22)

Sexual fancies may be difficult to contain this week as Neptune turns direct in your 8th House of Intimacy. You may long for the impossible love experience, or you may find that an erotic fantasy overtakes you and it is all you can think of. On Friday, someone at work could make a sexual advance towards you. If you’re attracted to this person, you’ll be flattered — but if not, you might consider it harassment. Even if the feeling is mutual, pursuing this could get messy. Handle with care.

Virgo Horoscope
Virgo Horoscope (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

When Neptune turns direct in your partnership sector this Wednesday, you might feel fuzzy regarding a decision that involves you and your mate. Don’t rush into anything, and avoid giving an ultimatum or becoming trapped by one. Romance sizzles by Friday, thanks to a heart-pounding connection between Venus and Pluto in your 5th House of True Love. Anticipate one of the most intense sexual encounters you’ve ever had. If you’re single, make sure you’re out and about. Either way, it’ll be difficult to ignore your desires.

Libra Horoscope
Libra Horoscope (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

A domestic dispute with your mate could leave you frustrated and ready to fly off the handle this Thursday. Do your best to refrain from hasty behavior because that may only serve to further alienate your partner. It’s as if everyone in your clan is on the same page about a certain situation except for him or her. While frustrating, it will pass. Now is the time to exercise patience. A Full Moon on Sunday may lead to emotionally charged news about your partner’s finances.

Scorpio Horoscope
Scorpio Horoscope (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

You may focus on a creative project with your sweetheart early in the week. Ideas will flow and your imagination will soar together, so be sure to schedule time for play on Monday. By Sunday, a Full Moon will fall in your 7th House of Partnership. If you and your partner are experiencing a difficult time, you’ll need to open up to one another. If you don’t clear the air, it’ll only suffocate you. Alternatively, this could be a time of incredible emotional fulfillment in matters of partnership. It all depends on where you currently stand.

Sagittarius Horoscope
Sagittarius Horoscope (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

This is not your week to mix love and money. No matter what the circumstances, be wary of lending cash to your lover or allowing him or her to manage your funds in any way. It’s not that you can’t trust your sweetheart, it’s just that this week it appears he or she may become overzealous about a “too good to be true” investment opportunity. Don’t allow yourself to get caught up in the hype with your mate. Instead, try to talk him or her down from the ledge.

Capricorn Horoscope
Capricorn Horoscope (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Expect a solid focus on your love life this week. Venus, the planet that rules romance, will be in your sign, connecting to both unpredictable Uranus and transformative Pluto. With this cosmic lineup it’s likely that an unanticipated development in your love life will either intensify your feelings for someone special or repulse you altogether. A Full Moon in your romance sector on Sunday may bring an emotional ending or a solid commitment. Either way, get ready for the game of love to change.

Aquarius Horoscope
Aquarius Horoscope (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

You may reveal your feelings for someone inadvertently this week — something you quickly regret doing. If you’re pining away for someone you know you can’t be in a relationship with, no matter how hard you try, the fact isn’t likely to change. Declaring your love — or passion — for this person may only lead to rejection. Even worse, it’s possible this person may feel you’ve become obsessed with them and declare you a stalker. Not fun. If you know it is unrequited love, then do yourself a favor this week: Keep it quiet.

Pisces Horoscope
Pisces Horoscope (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

You might feel dazed this week as your ruler, Neptune, turns direct in your sign on Wednesday. Allow extra time to sleep in and indulge your imaginative side. If you can do this with your partner, all the better, but chances are he or she will feel there are more practical matters to tend to (like paying the bills). Still, this may be a week you need to take life at a slower pace. On Friday, Venus and Pluto will connect in your social 11th House of Friends. If single, you may entertain the idea of a friendship with benefits.

Lunar Eclipses and Solar Eclipses

Lunar Eclipses and Solar Eclipses

What’s the difference between a Solar Eclipse and a Lunar Eclipse?

Tarotcom Staff Tarotcom Staff on the topics of solar eclipse, new moon, lunar eclipse, full moon, astrology

Eclipses are pretty major events, especially in Astrology, but that doesn’t mean everyone understands the difference between a Solar Eclipse and a Lunar Eclipse — not to mention how they affect your life.

A Personal Moon report can help explain just how much the Moon affects your emotions. But in terms of eclipses, let’s start with the basics: A Solar Eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, and a Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Earth passes between the Moon and the Sun.

Full Moon vs. the New Moon

With a Solar Eclipse, which can only happen at the New Moon, the shadow of the Moon is cast on the Earth and fully or partially blocks the Sun. Sometimes you can see a “ring of fire” glowing around the Solar Eclipse, but when there is a Total Eclipse of the Sun, the sky can grow dark in the middle of the day.

In Astrology, the darkness associated with a Solar Eclipse also casts a shadow on our innermost selves — it’s a time when we are reminded to turn inward, tap into our emotions and reconnect with the past. Solar Eclipses are about taking care of unfinished personal business before you can move on to new projects.

With a Lunar Eclipse, which can only occur at a Full Moon, the shadow of the Earth is cast on the Moon. This happens when the Moon passes behind the Earth and the Earth blocks the Sun’s rays, so it can only happen when the Sun, Earth and Moon are very closely aligned.

Lunation’s to spur personal growth

It’s much more common to view a Lunar Eclipse because they last longer (hours as opposed to minutes) and they can be seen from anywhere on Earth where you can see the Moon. During a Lunar Eclipse the sky will be very dark, but the Moon will appear Full and luminous, with a soft orange or pinkish hue.

Just like its softer visual appearance, the Lunar Eclipse has a softer astrological effect on our emotions, too. A Lunar Eclipse is a bit less intense, as it helps you to question less and feel more ready to let go of the past, shed old fears and habits, and finally feel light enough to move forward.

To dig deeper into the meaning of each Solar Eclipse or Lunar Eclipse, you’ll want to know in which sign each is taking place, as that will affect the overall forecast. But generally speaking, both Solar and Lunar Eclipses are special lunation’s that spur personal growth.
