Weekly Horoscope Sunday, January 29 to Saturday, February 4, 2023

Click here to read Georgia Nicols Daily Horoscopes

All Signs

This is a lovely, laid-back week with lots of positive energy. It’s an excellent time for creative projects because we will more easily think out-of-the-box and be open to fresh ideas. At the end of the week, power struggles and manipulations are possible, so steer clear of bossy types. On Thursday, (Feb. 2.) it’s Groundhog Day. I find it curious that no one ever calls it Woodchuck Day, even if they didn’t know how much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood. But really, it’s a heart-warming tradition based on the odds that if a groundhog pops his head out of the ground and sees a Maple Leaf, we get six more weeks of hockey.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a popular week for you, which means you’ll be out there flying your colours! Everyone wants to see your face because lucky Jupiter is in your sign (something that happens only once every 12 years). This makes you exuberant, enthusiastic and feeling lucky! This is a lovely blessing because Jupiter in your sign will boost your self-confidence and increase your self-poise. Be smart and make the most of this blessing until Jupiter leaves your sign to move into Taurus mid-May. Enjoy schmoozing with others this week but be aware that at the end of the week, a friend or a group will surprise you. They will say or do something you least expect. “Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines.”

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

The Sun is still at the top of your chart casting you in a symbolic spotlight that is flattering. This means you look good to others, especially authority figures. Obviously, you will be approached by others to take on increased responsibilities because they see you as competent and capable. (Smile and take a bow, especially when the spotlight of the Sun is helping you. Always take credit when you can.) Nevertheless, a boss, parent or someone in a position of authority might throw you a curveball at the end of the week. You might feel angry, surprised or rebellious. Ready to flip the bird. Don’t do this because you gain nothing by burning bridges. (You never know when you might need to cross them again.)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

It’s amazing that fiery Mars has been in your sign since mid-August! (It will stay until late March.) This pumps your energy! Surely, you have noticed. (“Don’t call me Shirley.”) This is another week of high energy for you. With fair Venus at the top of your chart, you look charming and diplomatic to everyone. Your urge to travel and do anything to expand your world continues to be strong. However, towards the end of the week, travel plans might suddenly change. They could be delayed, cancelled or alternatively, you might have to travel. Likewise sudden and unexpected news related to legal matters, your health or publishing and the media might also catch you off guard. Nevertheless, this is a strong, pleasant week!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You continue to look fabulous in the eyes of others because lucky Jupiter is at the top of your chart where it will stay for some months. This makes you look successful in the eyes of others. Even affluent! (What they don’t know is none of their business.) Travel opportunities favour you now, especially travel for pleasure. Some of you will discover new love or an exciting flirtation with a person who is “different.” Do be aware that something sudden and unexpected will happen toward the end of the week that affects inheritances, wills, estates, shared property and possibly your debt. Stay top of red-tape paperwork so that you know what’s happening. You snooze, you lose.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Gifts and goodies from others continue to come your way. In fact, all kinds of financial negotiations will favour you now because discussions about wills, inheritances and shared property will be resolved in a way that benefits you. Romance is also sweet and passionate this week. Small wonder that your primary focus is on your closest relationships – partnerships, spouses and friends. In a curious way, you have more objectivity and ability to see how you react with others, which gives you a chance to improve your people skills. This is also a productive week because you are taking a hands-on approach to things.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Your desire to be productive, efficient and effective is still strong. This is why you feel proud of your accomplishments this week. Not only do you want to excel in what you do, you would also like to improve your health as well. Meanwhile, relations with partners and close friends are warm and friendly; while relations with kids and romantic partners are playful and intellectually stimulating. Get ready for some kind of interruption to your work (and possibly your health) at the end of the week. This could include a breakdown of equipment or a breakdown with authority figures. You will handle this smoothly because Venus is opposite your sign honing your diplomatic skills.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This continues to be play city for you, which is why you’re enjoying restaurants, movies, the theatre, sports and accepting invitations to socialize more than usual. You are a social sign but this month it’s over-the-top! Make an effort to look good because when you feel good about how you look, you’re more charming than ever. (Looking good boosts your confidence.) Be prepared for unexpected changes to social plans at the end of the week. Likewise, parents should be extra vigilant because Friday and Saturday are accident-prone times for your kids. Keep an eye on them. This is an excellent week to make your workspace more attractive. It’s also a good time to be friendly with work colleagues. “Hey guys, I brought bagels!”

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Home, family (and perhaps a parent) are your focus now. Nevertheless, socializing, sports events and opportunities for romantic delights are exciting. Plus, your sex drive is amped! These are positive influences, plus the fact that you can improve your job – and your health – in the coming year! Meanwhile, if you want to think back to 1994, you might see that you are in a similar time loop. Much of what was occurring in 1994 might be coming your way again. Be patient with family members at the end of the week. Yes, they can be frustrating; nevertheless, family is gold. When things are tough, family is where you turn for help and support. (For most of us.)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You are a futuristic sign who likes to plan ahead. It might help you to know that you are now entering a window that is similar to what you experienced in 1994-1995. But this time, the change is that you are more playful and fun-loving. You want to enjoy yourself. In particular, you want to escape on vacations this year! This week is busy with short trips, errands and appointments. You will enjoy redecorating and entertaining at home. However: be careful because on Friday and Saturday, you are in an accident-prone window. At the least, your daily routine will change. At the worst, you might encounter a serious upset. Pay attention to everything you say and do.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Thoughts of financial security are on your mind. Many of you are organizing your possessions to be more efficient. What to keep. What to recycle. What to give away. In fact, you are entering a similar window to the time back around 1994-95 when many of you had job changes or residential moves. This influence has returned once again. However, one difference is that this year, home and real estate are beautifully favoured. Enjoy conversations with others because your words are sweet and charming. In fact, not only do you enjoy the company of everyone around you, you also have a great appreciation for the beauty of your daily surroundings. This is a blessing.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You have so much to look forward to because life will get so much better for you this year. (Wait until spring before you feel this shift in a big way.) Meanwhile, this is a lovely time for you because the Sun is in your sign, which happens for four weeks only once a year. This is why you feel energized and confident! Money, gifts and goodies will come your way. Quiet research behind the scenes appeals to you. You have lots of energy to play, flirt and enjoy sports and fun activities with children. Nevertheless, do be aware that by the end of the week, you might feel rebellious about something. An event will shake up your routine!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

In many ways, this continues to be a low-key time for you as your personal year comes to an end and you wait for your birthday to arrive. Nevertheless, with Venus in your sign, you’re schmoozing with everyone. You will also enjoy buying wardrobe goodies, boots and shoes. Since late summer, your home routine has been interrupted by chaotic activity, which has been challenging. It makes you feel that you are out of control in your private world. Fear not. In two months, you will start to take charge once again. In fact, you’re entering a two-year window very similar to what began in 1994-95. Thoughts?

Moon Alert

There are no restrictions to shopping or important decisions today. The Moon is in Taurus.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Keep an eye on your money and your assets today because something unexpected might impact them. For example, you might find money; you might lose money. Be smart and protect what you own against loss, theft or damage. Respect your moneymaking ideas. They might be clever!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

You might be impulsive today and willing to act rashly, which is not usually your style. Your moods might also change quickly. Basically, you want to break free from your normal routine and do something completely different. That’s fine; however, remember to be patient with loved ones.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Don’t worry if you feel restless or a little off-base today. What’s happening is that Moon is in a hidden part of your chart charged up by unpredictable Uranus. This gives you the feeling that you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. You’re not sure what’s happening. Relax. This is a fleeting feeling.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You might meet a real character today. Or perhaps someone you already know will do something unusual or unexpected that surprises you. Likewise, a group or an organization to which you belong might suddenly change their mandate or make an unusual announcement. They might challenge your position in the group? Eeek.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Expect a few surprises from bosses, parents, teachers, VIPs and the police. (Something you did not expect from an authority figure.) The thing to remember is to wait before you respond. Take a beat. Give yourself a chance to process what you didn’t expect. Be cool and remember never to underestimate the power of courtesy.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Sudden opportunities to travel might fall in your lap today. (One can only hope.) Unfortunately, travel plans might also change or be cancelled or delayed. News related to publishing, the law, medical matters or higher education might delight you. Or not.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Double check details concerning banking, shared property, inheritances, insurance matters and anything related to the wealth and resources of someone else, especially your partner. Try to stay on top of these things to catch something before it mushrooms into something worse. (A stitch in time.)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Someone close to you, possibly a partner, spouse or friend might throw a curveball your way today. They might say or do something you least expected. Or possibly, you will meet someone new – someone who is unusual, avant-garde or Bohemian. It’s not a boring day.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Your work routine will probably change today. Possibly, something high tech will go sideways. Computer glitches, printer problems and dead cell phones might be a drag. Courage! Whatever happens will be brief. And hey, you’re good at dealing with the unexpected.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Capricorn parents should know that this is an accident-prone day for their kids. Therefore, be vigilant and extra mindful. Meanwhile, social plans might suddenly change today. They might be cancelled or delayed; or you might receive a surprise invitation to go somewhere.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Your home routine will be interrupted today. It could be anything. For example, a small appliance might break down or a minor breakage could occur. Something unexpected will almost surely send your day in a new direction. Stock the fridge in case surprise company appears at your door.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Pay attention to everything you say and do today because this is an accident-prone day for your sign. Go slowly and be aware. On the upside, you might have unusual, genius-like ideas. Write them down. (Yes, of course, some of them won’t fly; but some might soar!)

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Elijah Wood (1981) shares your birthday today. You are independent, even rebellious. You want to do your own thing. You are comfortable being the centre of attention, when you choose. This year is the last year of a nine-year cycle, which means it’s time to let go of people and situations that are holding you back.

Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or important decisions from 4 PM to 7 PM EST today (1 PM to 4 PM PST). After that, the Moon moves from Aries into Taurus.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a tricky day because it’s an excellent time to make long-range plans; however, you must avoid important decisions during the Moon Alert. During the Moon Alert, you can review your ideas or do further research; and then afterwards, agree to a plan of action.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This is an excellent day to do research of any kind. You’re happy to work behind the scenes. But in another way, you are also high viz today. A contradiction. In fact, you make an excellent impression on bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. Get your facts but take action after the Moon Alert.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

With Venus high in your chart, you look charming and appealing to everyone, especially authority figures. Meanwhile, someone older or more experienced might have excellent advice for you today. Be grateful for guidance; however, wait until the Moon Alert is over to act.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

People notice you today. In fact, for some reason, someone is aware of the personal details about your private life – very likely matters about financial arrangements or how you deal with shared property or inheritances. Meanwhile, you’re interested in travelling for pleasure!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a day to make long-range plans about travel or something to do with publishing or dealing with the media, higher education, medicine or legal matters. Nevertheless, there is a three-hour window today when it’s a poor time to shop or make decisions. Be aware of this.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

In financial discussions, or work related to inheritances, taxes and debt, you will be practical and thorough today. You want results, and you want the bottom line. This is good. However, do not sign important papers or agree to anything important during the Moon Alert. (See above.)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Ideally, you will be more successful today if you cooperate and go more than halfway with others. You don’t have to give away the farm, you just have to be amenable to what others say. (Nevertheless, agree to nothing important during the Moon Alert.)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You will be creative at work today. You might also have a stimulating discussion with a parent or a family member. Whatever the case, agree to nothing important and don’t shop for anything other than food and gas during the Moon Alert.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Today holds many playful, creative possibilities for you because you find it easy to think outside of the box. You also have the gift of the gab today, which means you can talk yourself in to or out of anything. Note: Agree to nothing important during the Moon.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Money and possessions are your focus, which is why a discussion with a family member, perhaps a female, might be significant. You’re working hard for what you want and what you might need to protect. Avoid shopping or important decisions during the Moon Alert.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Things will tend to go your way today. You hold the winning cards; however, don’t make your play or make important decisions during the Moon Alert today. Sports, creative ideas and social plans are excellent choices for you. Enjoy your day!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is a good time for you to shop for wardrobe items; however, never buy clothes during a Moon Alert. Too many regrets. Chanel your energy on organizing things at home so you feel you’re getting on top of your scene. Once you’re more in control – you’re free!

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Alan Cumming (1965) shares your birthday today. You are a quick study and a fast learner. You love life’s daily adventures. You are talented, versatile and often a trendsetter. Your freedom is important to you. This year you will receive recognition, awards and promotions to a knowledge your past efforts. It’s time to take a bow.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

For the next four weeks, you will enjoy friendlier relationships with almost everyone. Because your ability to deal agreeably with others will be superb, your relations with group settings, meetings and conferences will be successful. Even romance will be happier.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Today Venus will begin to cross the top of your chart in the next four weeks, which will create favourable circumstances for your professional life. Bosses and people in authority will be impressed with you. People will seek your advice about how to make something look more attractive.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Your desire to travel for pleasure will be strong in the next four weeks. You will also have a heightened appreciation of beauty. Make an effort to see art exhibits, galleries and museums because this will please you. Romance with someone “different” might begin.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Lucky you! For the next four weeks, Venus will be opposite your sign, which will promote all your relations with others especially close friends, partners and spouses. You will be more easy-going, and will be able to express your affection more easily. (Even your relations with enemies will improve.)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Your health will get a lovely boost in the next four weeks, which is good news for you. You will also find that you can more easily discuss agreements with others and cooperate with coworkers. This is a good time to discuss duties, the division of labour and shared obligations.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You have a lovely four weeks ahead! This is because fair Venus will be travelling through your House of Romance. Love relationships will be favoured along with creative activities. Even your relations with children will improve because this will be a great time for games and fun!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Take advantage of every opportunity to entertain at home in the next four weeks; and likewise, to redecorate or make your home more attractive because these things will make you happier. Despite the possibility of entertaining, you will also enjoy quiet time in congenial surroundings.
