This is the perfect week to wrap up our summer because it’s full of romantic promises and possibilities. According to the Oxford English dictionary, the definition of a romance is “an exciting, usually short relationship between two people.” Hmmm, must it be short? And what about being enthralled in a romantic way with a city, or a special place, or even a restaurant? (Personally, I’m attached to my car, Babs.) Whatever the case, now is the time to embrace happy feelings. Surprise invitations, spontaneous social outings and meetings with friends, along with passionate responses to different people and circumstances will be the tenor of this week. Speaking of which, I read that altos love bases. Bases love altos. Sopranos love solos. And tenors love themselves.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This week offers all kinds of possibilities because the underlying theme for you is actually to work and get better organized. (You know this. You feel this.) That’s why you intend to get a jump on that “back-to-school” feeling so that you’re in charge and ready for September. “Bring it on!” Nevertheless, fair Venus is in your House of Partnerships, dancing with Uranus and Pluto, which will attract surprise get-togethers and unusual meetings. Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Monday’s Full Moon is challenging for partnerships, especially if you’re in a toxic situation with a controlling or stagnant partner. Uranus could trigger rash actions. Generally, a serious decision should not be the result of a knee-jerk reaction. Here is advice I once heard at a lecture in 1981, in Portland, Oregon. “If you act with discipline, you will have no regrets. This means if you do something and you don’t regret it, then you acted with discipline. Or if you do something and you regret it, then you didn’t act with discipline. And if you don’t do something and you don’t regret it, then you acted with discipline. And if you don’t do something and you regret it, then you didn’t act with discipline.” For years, this has been a helpful litmus test for me when making decisions. Especially when buying bananas.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This Full Moon will be challenging for you when it comes to romantic connections and relationships with your kids. In fact, this is an accident-prone time so be extra vigilant with your children to avoid mishaps. You must also be patient with them. This week there’s good news and bad news. Let’s have dessert first. The planet Mars represents energy and ego; while Jupiter is about good fortune, wealth and expansion. When these two planets line up, it creates enthusiastic physical activity that helps us to work hard in athletics and labour. It encourages gambling because we feel confident and lucky! Now for the bad news: Mars will also be at odds with Saturn, which produces the opposite effect! This influence makes us want to proceed with caution. We might feel inadequate or held back by self-doubt or regulations. This reminds me of the barometer that my grandmother had on her living room wall. In good weather, the lady came out; and in bad weather, the man came out. Come to think of it, it also reminds me of US politics.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This will be a curious week because something will happen that makes you very enthusiastic! You’ll be keen to convince others to your way of thinking; in fact, you will do so. Hear ye! Hear ye! Mercury is now retrograde until Aug. 28. It’s important to know that Mercury retrograde is a poor time to buy electronic items, ground transportation (cars, trucks, bikes), cell phones and computers. Furthermore, AFTER the retrograde is over on Aug. 28, Mercury will still be “behind” because it won’t catch up to the degree it was at when it first went retrograde until Sept. 12. Therefore, be smart: If you’re buying something expensive like a cell phone, a car or a computer wait until Sept. 12 or later. Disappointing, I know. Actually, I am planning to buy a new laptop, too. I’ve been planning to buy one for the last five years.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

“Where’s my sunglasses?” This week is about fun, pleasure and good times! Romance, social outings, vacations and playful times with kids on the menu. Aries (March 21-April 19)

You gave up a lot in the early 90s to start a new path. Then around 2001-2004, once again, life was full of job changes and residential moves. By 2008-2010, you were working hard, which is why you received acknowledgement of your efforts around 2010-2012. Thursday is Leap Day! We’ve been using the Gregorian calendar for over four centuries since Oct.1582. It’s not perfect, which is why every four years we add an extra day to February (the shortest month and in the sign of Pisces). People who are born on February 29 are called Leaplings. However, this has nothing to do with Western astrology, which began seventeen centuries earlier — around 200 BC.
