Everybody else around here is sleeping in this morning. Right after the Sun came up and we greeted Him, you never saw like the witches flying for their cars, lol! Seriously! They were all so sleepy, they couldn’t wait to get home and go to bed. I offered for some of them to stay here and sleep if they wanted too but I believe they know me to well. I am a natural night owl. I always have been and probably always will be. So with all them gone home to take a long nap, you are stuck with me, you poor witch, lol!

Seriously, something has been bothering me and the more I hear about it, the more it bothers me. It is probably a subject I shouldn’t even bring up on this glorious morning but….since this is the season of rebirth and reawakening, it does seem appropriate, in a way. The topic I am referring to is abortion. I have always did my best to stay away from this topic but now I can’t, not anymore. I have very mixed feelings about the subject. I guess in one way, I might be considered pro-choice and on the other hand, I might not be. I can understand and approve of abortion if it involves rape, incest or the mother’s life is in danger. But have you been listening to some of the new proposals that some states are trying to pass on this issue.

If you haven’t, then you need to wake up and smell the coffee. In other words, pay close attention to what your state government leaders are trying to do in regards to the abortion laws. Not all of them, but some. I know in Kentucky, our governor hasn’t mentioned changing any of the state abortion laws. At one time, he did want to close all the abortion centers and that went over like a lead balloon. Our neighboring state, Virginia has taken a different stand on abortion and absolutely sickens me and it should you too. Ralph Northam is the governor of Virginia and I am sure you know him now in regards to the photo of him from school (the black face and KKK one). It seems this photo has overshadowed his views on abortion. I heard him speak on the radio the other day about his views on abortion. He wants to extend the length a mother can have an abortion, right up to the moment the woman is delivering a baby. He described it fully, the woman is in labor and has the baby and then the abortion can be done. I had to stop and think on that one. A woman gives birth to a living human being and then they decide if they want to do an abortion on this new life. What? He said if the baby needed to be revived they would revive it, if the mother decided to do that. Then they would make the infant as comfortable as possible while they decided if they wanted to terminate the life of the infant. He later went on to explain what he said had been taken out of context. He clarified if the baby had any defects that would effect the quality of life of the infant, then the decision to abort the infant would come up for discussion.

There is a lot of questions regarding this matter as far as I am concerned. My main one is that they are basically killing a living human being. I believe a fetus becomes a infant and a viable life at the moment of conception. Now you have this helpless, little infant laying in a nice comfortable bed, which of course, they have provided. They are going to make this infant as comfortable as possible(his words). Why? This proves to me that they consider it a life. But they only do this to turn around and ends its life. Doesn’t that go against the Oath a doctor takes. He is not to kill life, he is to try to protect it  and save it at any and all possible measures. So I can’t understand any doctor who upholds the Oath he took to become a doctor actually killing an infant, deformed or not. If he does, I know I sure wouldn’t want him for a doctor. Would you? Then if the parents decide they don’t want the baby because it is deformed there are other options besides killing the little baby. Yeah, I went from infant to a baby, because that is actually what it is, and they want to destroy it. There are millions of people who would love to have a baby. There are people who wouldn’t care if the baby was deformed, they would love it, care for it and give it the best life possible. Why kill it? That is the part I don’t understand. If a pregnant mother is in a car wreck and unfortunately, she and the baby are killed, if the right circumstances involving that wreck were there, they would charge the other driver with killing two individuals. The mother and the unborn child. But yet, you have this adorable, cooing little baby and they want to out and out kill it. What has happened to people? I truly want to know what the hell they are thinking.

Oh and the reason I am calling this to your attention is because it is not only in Virginia, I read this  morning New York is also considering this. It never fails if one can get away with it, then another will try it and so on and so on. As I mentioned earlier, I am for abortion in certain circumstance, rape, incest and the mother’s life being in danger but this new extension of abortion, NO! I cannot even imagine a doctor suggesting it. I would consider a doctor that does this and oh, by the way, one question that hasn’t been answered yet, how would they kill this infant. They want to call it abort, I call a spade a spade, they would be killing it. How do they plan on doing this? Knocking it in the head they way they do cows, ringing it neck like a chicken, sounds cruel. Murdering a new born child is cruel. We can’t let something like this go on it our society. We are taught to cherish and respect all life. There are no stipulations on that life whether it is deformed or not, we are taught to respect it, protect it and help it in anyway we can.

I want you to watch your governors. See what they are up too. Check out the bills they are trying to pass or the amendments they are trying to add to existing laws. One state tries, there will be others that follow and we can’t let that happen. We have to protect the innocent. We have to prevent these laws from being passed and added to the abortion laws. We have to get enraged. We have to get up off our asses and do whatever it takes to stop such hideous laws even being presented for consideration. If we don’t, we are no better than the doctors that will be killing these babies. We have to be the voice for the innocent, if not us, who then? The world has gone crazy and now with this new proposal on the table for abortion, if it passes then mankind is doomed. We will no longer be humans, we will be animals.

Watch your state governors for us. If you hear of any such proposals in your state, let us know. You know my position on this issue and I hope you agree with me. If you don’t, that is your right. But I guarantee you one thing, we will do everything in our power to prevent this law from being added to the states’ abortion laws.

Thank you for listening. I am sorry to bring this up on Imbolc but it has been eating at me and eating at me. It really got to me this morning when I was watching the Sun come up. I thought about those babies being aborted after being born. Never seeing such a beautiful sunrise as I saw today and I shed a tear. There are other ways of handling these unwanted babies. Let people who would care for them and love them have them. Then they would be given the chance to see the same beautiful sunrise I saw this morning.

Now after venting, I was informed the office aquarium stunk, so I have got to go clean it out. Hmm, that goes along with Imbolc, I will cleansing the tank. Good witch, good!
