How to work with Spirit Animals and Power Animals: 101

How to work with Spirit Animals and Power Animals: 101

by

Working with animals on a spiritual level can be just as important as working with angels, guides and loved one. You may have heard many terms related to the ways animals can work with us spiritually such as “Spirit Animal” and “Power Animal”. A Spirit Animal is an animal who comes to you in order to show you through its own unique nature and skills how to deal with the manifestations of your Spiritual Journey. Think of your spirit animal as a guardian spirit or spirit guide. It can play the role of protector and provides guidance. It’s like a “personal guide or protector.” The Important thing to know about Spirit Animals is that you do not choose your Spirit Animal, and it chooses you! Another key point of Spirit Animals is they will appear only at the time and place in your life when you are ready to accept them and the wisdom they come to offer. I have found that, over the course of various times in life, a person can have multiple Spirit Animals based on what may be going on at that time and can change once a certain lesson may be learned. But, once a Spirit Animal presents itself to you, regardless if a particular part of your journey is over, you can always call on the animal’s energy whenever you need it. You can do this even if a new animal has presented itself or you haven’t worked with the animal in a long time. From what Spirit has told me, everyone has a constant Spirit Animal that they are born with, almost like a Guardian Angel. While other Spirit Animals may come and go, this Spirit Animal will always be by your side.

The other term you may be familiar with is a Power Animal. A Power Animal will often let us call upon it and harness its energy and powers to get us through a situations and particular moments. Unlike a Spirit Animal we can choose this animal. In addition, the spirit of the animal could unite with the person it “chose” in more personal ways and one will often find similarities in traits of personality, characteristics, and synchronicity between the two. As such, the power or essence of the animal can be felt or communicated. One of the cool things is you can actually merge with a Spirit/ Power Animal. If any of you have seen any of the Twilight movies, you know that Jacob is part of a tribe that can turn into wolves. That is a Spirit/ Power Animal for him! I often tell clients to imagine they are one with the animal. For example, let’s say you have a Spirit/ Power Animal that is a lion. You can literally ask the lion to merge with you. It would feel as if the animal was the outside shield protecting you while you were inside and safe from harsh energies.

Here is a great Meditation to help you find your Spirit Animal.

  1. Create a safe private space that you can relax in private free from interruption including all electronics.
  2. You will want to create sacred space. You can use holy water, crystals, prayer, or call in the  guides, and angels you work with. You can also call in the 4 directions (east, south, west, & north) and Mother Earth and Father Sky. If you do not know how to do this, you can read about it here: http://thefourwinds.com/blog/shamanism/opening-sacred-space/
  3. You will want to relax by either sitting or lying down in a position which keeps your back straight. Use sounds of nature to help you be present in this meditation.
  4. Relax and breathe. Allow your body to release all tension, beginning at the top of your head or crown chakra. Then, as you continue to breathe, you will find that all negativity and stress have released out your feet and into the Earth.
  5. When you feel ready, invite your spirit animal to come forward. Don’t panic if an animal doesn’t immediately appear. Trust in your intuition and it will come. When it does, welcome them into your energy field. You will also want to thank it for the messages and insight it is going to provide you.
  6. You will want to create a dialogue with the animal. Start by asking it if it is your spirit animal. Once you confirm, ask it any questions you may have. You may want to ask its name, what its purpose in helping you is, you can ask about certain areas of your life that you may need assistance with and so on.
  7. Once you have received all the insight you desire, you will once again want to thank your spirit animal for showing up in your meditation.
  8. You will once again want to focus on your breathing, you will become more present as you return to your sacred space. Take some time to thank any other spirits, guides, angels etc. You will also want to thank the four direction.
  9. You may want to journal about your experience so you can go back and remember the insight that your spirit animal provided you.

Once you know your spirit animal or power animal is, you can work with it through any form of meditation, prayer, or by simply asking that it to join you for the day. I have even seen people incorporate their animal in their jewelry. You can always look for signs of the actual animal as well. This can serve as a reminder that they are with you. The more you work with these animals the deeper connection you will have and the stronger you will trust your own intuition. I love using the site http://www.whats-your-sign.com/ to look up the spiritual meaning of the animal that comes through. It is very detailed and you will learn why that animal is in your life. It is a privilege to work with any type of spirit animal or power animal energy. Consider it just as important as any other relationships you have. Your animal will be there for you and protect you. Stay open to receiving and it will always show up for you.

“I think of animals more as spirits that come and go. They enter our lives at a particular time and they leave at a particular time. The whole glorious history of animals with people is about joy and connection. It’s about loving this creature and letting this creature love you.” – Jon Katz

“A witch who is bored might do ANYTHING.

People said things like ‘we had to make our own amusements in those days’ as if this signified some kind of moral worth, and perhaps it did, but the last thing you wanted a witch to do was get bored and start making her own amusements, because witches sometimes had famously erratic ideas about what was amusing.”

The Sky This Week from November 28 to December 2

Venus shines at its brightest before dawn while Mars still rules the evening sky.
By Richard Talcott

Wednesday, November 28

Algol can guide you to one of the finest binocular star clusters in the late autumn sky. Just after darkness falls, target the variable star through binoculars and place it at the bottom of your field of view. At the top of the field, you should see a hazy patch of light roughly the size of the Full Moon. This is M34, a collection of roughly 100 suns near Perseus’ border with Andromeda. Through 10×50 binoculars, M34’s brightest stars appear to twinkle against the unresolved glow of the cluster’s fainter members. To find more objects worth exploring these autumn nights, see “November’s 50 finest deep-sky objects” in the November issue of Astronomy.

Thursday, November 29

Last Quarter Moon arrives at 7:19 p.m. EST. It rises in the eastern sky shortly before midnight local time and reaches its peak in the south near sunrise tomorrow morning, by which time it appears slightly less than half-lit. Throughout this period, our satellite resides among the background stars of Leo the Lion.

Friday, November 30

Look high in the south after darkness falls this week and you should see autumn’s most conspicuous star group. The Great Square of Pegasus stands out in the evening sky at this time of year and, because it lies due south, it looks like a nearly perfect square. These four almost equally bright stars form the body of Pegasus the Winged Horse. The fainter stars that represent the rest of this constellation’s shape trail off to the square’s west.

Saturday, December 1

Venus appears brilliant from the time it rises a little before 4 a.m. local time until close to sunrise some three hours later. It stands about 25° above the southeastern horizon an hour before the Sun comes up. Shining at magnitude –4.9, it appears slightly brighter today than at any other time during this morning apparition. (The difference is essentially imperceptible, however — it appears less than 0.01 magnitude brighter today than it did yesterday or will tomorrow.) When viewed through a telescope this morning, Venus spans 40″ and appears one-quarter lit.

Sunday, December 2

The days of viewing Saturn in the evening sky are dwindling rapidly. You can find the ringed world about 10° high in the southwest 45 minutes after sunset. The planet shines at magnitude 0.5, more than a full magnitude brighter than any of the background stars in its host constellation, Sagittarius the Archer. Although the best views of Saturn through a telescope came earlier in this apparition, it never hurts to take a final look. This week, the planet’s disk measures 15″ across while the ring system spans 35″ and tilts 26° to our line of sight.

About The Goddess of the Month, Astraea

(November 28 – December 23)

Astraea is a minor but important goddess from Greek mythology. Known as the “Star Maiden” or “Star Goddess”, she is best known for being the last immortal to live among the humans on Earth before leaving in disgust of humanity’s brutality and wickedness.

There are arguments about who her parents are. She is the daughter of either Zeus (Greek God) and Themis or of Eos and Astraeus. She is often depicted as a winged woman, carrying a torch and the scales of justice. She is also said to have helped Zeus in battle, and is sometimes portrayed carrying his lightning bolts with her.

Astraea is most often associated with two of the major constellation myths, those of Virgo and Libra. While there is much debate about her role in Virgo mythology, I believe that she is the most likely candidate for the role of Virgo. Whether she is or isn’t the figure of the Virgo myth, she is definitely very closely connected to both Virgo and Libra mythology.

Some believe that Astraea’s image is the portrayed on the “Justice” card in the major arcana of the tarot. There is reason to believe that this is true. In the most famous rendition of the card’s artwork, a winged woman carrying a torch and thunderbolts stands beside the throne of Zeus. The name “Astrape” is inscribed above her.

Though often called “the virgin goddess”, Astraea is best known as a goddess of Justice, along with Dike (Greek mythology) and Erigone (Roman mythology), with whom she is often interchangeably mentioned. When she left Earth for the heavens, she essentially took the “Golden Age of Man” with her. Later literature inferred that once humanity realized what it had done, they hoped for her to return, inferring that she would bring the Golden Age back with her. This is notably similar to the “return of the messiah” in Christian mythology.

Though not one of the most well-known the Greek gods and goddesses, the Star Maiden’s influence has lasted throughout the years. Greek epics and English literature refer to her in poems over several centuries, including one by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

In modern mythology the image of Astraea is re-imagined in the video game “Demon’s Souls” published by Atlas Software in 2009. In the game, a character named “Maiden Astraea” rules over a land of sickness and disease. She is a beautiful, powerful, and once noble woman whose soul has been corrupted by demonic spirits and has charged herself with taking care of those living in the uncivilized, plague-infested land. This re-imagination combines the images of the goddess Astraea with the role of the immortal monster Echidna, who is also an important mother figure in Greek mythology. Whether this was intentional or not, it serves as an interesting example of ancient mythology transformed into modern mythology.

On Wednesday, November 28th, We Celebrate…..

Festival of Lights (New York)
CHIU-RANG-GURU

Themes: Water; Beauty; Overcoming; Victory

SYMBOLS: Rough Water; Light

About Chiu-rang-gura: This grouping of goddesses includes those who dwell in rapids, rough water, or waterfalls, and they can guide us through any rough waters that our lives face. Their name literally means “senders down of the current.” Thanks to water spirits like these, Niagara Falls has become a favorite tourist attraction, especially during this festival.

To Do Today: This breathtaking festival takes place nearly in my backyard. At this time of the year, Niagara Falls is bedecked with hundreds of lights, including colored floodlights that adorn the falls in potent beauty, accented by these goddesses’ vibrant power.

If you find yourself facing difficult times right now, know that the Chiu-rang-guru can ease the flow of problems. One way to magically mimic this is by using a freestanding Jacuzzi in the tub turned on high. Immerse yourself in this torrent, then speak the goddesses’ name and turn it down slowly. When you’ve reached the last setting, turn off the machine and pull the plug in the tub, letting those problems literally flow down the drain. The effect of this activity can be accentuated by using a black light in the bathroom, glitter in the water, and candles. This turns your tub into a light show in which you can wrap yourself in Chiu-rang-guru’s spirit and be renewed.

Moon in Leo

Before we get into details about the Moon in Leo, let’s first learn more about the Moon itself. In Astrology, the Moon is considered a planet — the fastest moving one at that! Because it moves so quickly, it passes through each of the zodiac signs every month.

When the Moon is in Leo
Regardless of what your Moon sign is, a couple days each month we all feel the influence of the Leo Moon. When the Moon is moving through Leo, regardless of how you normally feel, you will have a stronger desire to let others how you feel. You’ll be more apt to tell people that you love them, or express your appreciation for them. This might also be a time when there’s a strong urge to turn the romance and passion in your life up a notch.

Because Leo craves attention and adoration, a Leo Moon could leave you feeling more insecure than usual which could lead to a dramatic flare-up if your needs aren’t met. If you are a bit more sensitive and vulnerable during this transit, ask those around you for the reassurance you crave.

Leo is a sign of ideas and a sign of expressing yourself. You’ll be inclined to pursue an artistic outlet such as dance or theater, or a business endeavor of some kind. It could also be a time of getting out and socializing so that you can “perform” for others. After all, all the world’s a stage during the Moon in Leo!

New Moon in Leo
During the mid-summer, when the Sun is in the sign of Leo, we have what is called a Leo New Moon. This is a very special time because New Moons are all about new growth and the beginning of new cycles. The Leo New Moon is concerned with self-expression, and showing what’s in your heart. So, this is when you’re beginning a relationship with a person, an idea, or a goal. You want to open your heart, and make your deepest desires become everything in your life. This is a great time to ask yourself if you’ve truly been doing the things that make you feel the most fulfilled.

Full Moon in Leo
Six months later, the Sun is in the sign of Aquarius which means we have a Leo Full Moon. Aquarius is very cold, and very distant from the heat of the Sun. The Full Moon in Leo brings a good balance to the depersonalized energy of the Aquarius sign. This transit reminds you that it’s okay to feel what’s in your heart, and to bring that out into the world. Full Moons are culminations so this is a great time to look at the seeds you planted during the New Moon and see if they’ve come to fruition.

The Witches Spell for Wednesday, November 28th

To Break the Powers of a Spell (against you)

Items that you will need in order to perform this spell:
1 large black candle
Cauldron or large black bowl

Ritual: Place the candle in the large black bowl or cauldron, affixing it with droppings of another black candle. The candle should be tall enough to extend a few inches above the rim. Fill the cauldron to the rim with fresh water, without welling the candle’s wick.

Deep breathe meditate, clear your mind and light the candle. Visualize the suspected spell’s power as residing within the candles flame. Sit in quiet contemplation of the candle and visualize the power flowing and growing within the candle’s flame.

As the candle burns down, its flame will eventually sputter and go out as it contacts the water. As soon as the water has extinguished the flame, the spell will be dispersed. See the spell power explode into dust. Pour water in a hole in the ground and bury the candle.

Scrying

Scrying is the name given to the ancient technique of gazing into an
object such as a crystal ball (or skull) for the purposes of divination.
Although some people can achieve visions from gazing into flames or even a shallow bowl of water or black ink, the clear quartz crystal ball is
the most common method.

Anyone can learn to scry. It is all a matter of practice. If you meditate it will be much easier. If you you ask a question – and place lots of energy in the answer – it will manifest faster for you.

The amount of time you use for scrying can vary from a few minutes to
half hour. You usually scry alone but more than one person can scry into
the same surface at the same time for information. Though some people go through rituals before they scry – it isn’t necessary. If you wish to ask your spirit guides for guidance go ahead. Some people say a little prayer and ask for the correct information to appear.

If you are using an object – crystal – mirror – just be sure it is
clean.

Scrying can be done with a number of different surfaces which include:
. Water in a dark bowl – or small pool
. Mirrors
. Crystals – Crystal Ball Gazing
. Tea Leaves – Coffee grinds embers in a fire at night
. A dimly lit / or candle lit room – looking into the eyes of another
person who sits across from you

During scrying – one gazes steadily into the scrying surface (feel free
to blink or allow your point of focus to wander a bit; this is not a method of self-inflicted torture). Eventually, you should be able to pick out shapes or images in the scrying surface; these may appear ascrude sketches, or occasionally with the clarity of a photograph. You will actually see these images with your eyes.

Once this happens, images may begin to form in your mind, no longer
projected onto the scrying surface. When this happens, allow your
attention to focus on these mental images. From this point forward, the
scrying surface is irrelevant; do not be distracted by it.

As the images become clearer, you will find that you know things about
what you are seeing Ð background information will come to the surface of
your mind. Pay attention to what you know about the images you are
seeing.

Surfaces which provide a random, high contrast visual texture, such as
black tea leaves in a white cup or orange sparks in a black ember, are
particularly good for the first stage of the scrying process. However, the  vividness of the visual images formed in this way may tend to pull your attention back from the purely mental images that should follow, thus disrupting the natural flow of ideas. Smooth, neutral surfaces, like the surface of a dish of black water, a crystal ball, or a black mirror, provide relatively few visual cues to get you started, but if you can make the transition to mental imagery quickly, the visual surface will obligingly fade into the background.

********

Scrying With Crystals

If you are using a crystal select one that calls to you. Most people prefer a crystal ball or crystal skull. The crystal must be clear quartz – a larger crystal is best. The crystal will seem appealing to your eye. It does not have to be your ‘personal crystal’.

The crystal can be clear or have inclusions in it. Many have rainbows. Some develop cloudy areas when you scry with them. It is best to find a quiet place to scry, so that you can hear your thoughts without distractions and concentrate on the objects you see. Make yourself comfortable.

Adjust your surroundings as you would for a meditation: lighting, noise
level, temperature, clothing, glasses, shoes

Place the object:
. On a black cloth
. In good light – daylight – on a stand with a light beneath it – use a
flashlight – near candle light – not too close
. Between your hands / fingers
. Hold the object in one hand

You can prepare a tape recorder to record any messages you get from your scrying session. You can scry alone or with another person to talk to.
As you prepare to scry, be sure that your vantage point for viewing the
object is at good eye level. Remember that you will turn the object many
times to see different things within it.

Crystal are life forms and have a lot to say and share, they are communication devices. They send and receive signals. You just have to
learn to ‘tune in’ to their channel – listen with your thoughts and look
a the images that appear on the screen behind your eyes.

Older crystals will have more messages as they have experienced more
frequencies in their time on the Earth plane and stored more information. Many crystals are record keepers, especially those from ancient civilizations, such as Atlantis. Crystal skulls, made from very old crystals, are example of ancient crystals. They seem to have an endless amount of messages to give.

Most crystals have flat areas through which one can look. These areas are called windows or doors. Some people need time to adjust their frequency to that of the crystal so they can read into it. More experienced readers, such as myself, can pick up any crystal almost instinctively and feel the energies as if it is talking to me. They can heal you while you are working with them though you don’t realize it as first. They simple balance the energies in your physical and other bodies.

You can place your crystal over a light of some kind to get a better look at the inside. Crystal stores often have stands with light in them that you rest your crystal on. The light them penetrates through the crystal. I prefer holding crystals up to sunlight! It gives the best clarity.

As crystals change, depending on their surroundings, they do develop
different patterns within them from the energies they receive. When you are ready, have as much light as you can running through the crystal.

Place one or both hands – on either side of it.
Look deeply into the crystal.
Allow your eyes to focus on the images within the crystal.
Examine all of the shapes until you find one that calls to you.
Listen to your thoughts – as the crystal begins to connect its frequency
with yours.
Turn the crystal in various directions to see different images and get
different messages.
You will intuitively know what’s best.

Sometimes the images in the crystal may appear to move as you gaze at
them. You may want to close the light – then close your eyes – if they works better for you.

As with all psychic skills, this could take many attempts to master. If
the crystal is not in your frequency you may not receive any messages
from it. Try another crystal.

Daily Cosmic Calendar for Wednesday, November 28

Stop, look and listen. Any recently restored confidence could be temporarily short-circuited as Venus makes an off-kilter, 150-degree liaison with wounded-healer Chiron (4:04am), Vesta forms a caustic, 45-degree tie to Neptune (5:40pm), and less than three hours later another 45-degree encounter occurs between mythological brothers Jupiter and Pluto (8:29pm). Compared to the all-pervasive enthusiasm present this past Sunday and yesterday, this 24-hour time-period can prove rather disappointing. However, the moon in Leo always contains a creative reservoir of energy that you can use for advancement in favorite arts, crafts and hobbies. Plus, a fairly rare and inspirational, 72-degree aspect between Ceres and Pluto (11:52pm) has a nurturing power that can blunt some of the stress emanating from the three challenging sky cycles.

The Daily Horoscopes for Wednesday, November 28th

Jennifer Angel, Astrologer

 – Book an astrological life coaching consultation with Jennifer

Leo Moon is big energy. Get emotional about your life and passionately go after what you want. Don’t hold back!

Aries
It can be best to remain silent when business matters come up for review, so you build in some thinking time. Before agreeing to anything, ask questions and try to see the situation from all angles. Once you’ve gathered all the facts, you will be in a better position to make decisions.

Taurus
Things are about to get busy, with work responsibilities, holiday obligations and invitations too good to decline. It can be a challenge to make time for everyone, but the excitement of life in the fast lane will be worth the organization you need to do to pull it together.

Gemini
For you to enjoy your job, there has to be some creativity in your work and not just a paycheck. A routine job will not only rob you of your energy but diminish your enthusiasm, too. Try to work out a schedule that lets you be productive and keeps you interested, too.

Cancer
Having worked strenuously for some time now, you’re ready to partake of some fun and games. But if work needs attention, get it out of the way before you begin partying. However, don’t try to get all your responsibilities checked off, or else you’ll never make it out of the office.

Leo
Finances are an important issue and now you have a good chance to take advantage of a possible opportunity. But don’t go celebrating before you have confirmation. Last minute changes are possible, and you need to make sure that the outcome is fair to everyone involved.

Virgo
It’s important to be consistent, and when you do what you say, the people with whom you deal won’t misunderstand you. They need to know that they can trust your word and that you can be relied upon. That’s what makes for long-lasting friendships and business connections.

Libra
There’s always room to improve productivity, no matter how high up the ladder of success you’ve reached. It may seem that you’ve struggled along the journey to get to the top, but don’t give up. Stay positive, and you’ll see that hard work does pay off.

Scorpio
When you need to have a discussion around finances, even if it is personal, make an appointment and treat it in a businesslike manner. You want to make sure there’s no confusion when it concerns money in your bank account. To reduce possible mix-ups, follow up in writing.

Sagittarius
You are most likely more knowledgeable about a certain subject at work but be careful not to come across as a know-it-all. Your opinions count, and if you present them in a diplomatic way, people will listen. It always pays to be on good terms with colleagues.

Capricorn
Expect to be more in demand this week than usual and, as such, get ready to accept invitations to social events. Life is not all about work, Capricorn, and since you could meet someone special at one of these gatherings, make sure you look your best. Be open to romantic possibilities.

Aquarius
Be careful of neglecting a friend or lover. To reassure him or her, explain that your absence is job-related and does not reflect how you feel. As life gets more hectic, don’t forget to allot time to those who matter to you most.

Pisces
Having Jupiter in your work and business zone turns your mind into a creative idea machine and gets you to share these ideas with influential people. This is a busy time, and if you can stay focused, the contacts you make now can help you move forward.

Fresh green nurtures Taurus’ spirit and reinforces its connection to nature and growth. Just like the lush pastures the Bull resides in, green represents growth, and Taurus is a sign of absolute progress. The return of green in the springtime — Taurus’ season — further enhances its connection to this sign.

Gemini color: Yellow

Inspiring yellow lifts Gemini’s spirit and triggers curiosity and brilliant thoughts. This inspiring and life-giving color shines through in Gemini’s exciting, upbeat nature. Mimicking the warm Sun, yellow lightens and brightens everything around it. As the color of the mind and the intellect, yellow enhances Gemini’s mental powers and focus.

Cancer color: White and silver

Bright white and silver connect Cancer with its intuition and provide a clean, clear slate. Like the glistening surface of water or the shining face of the Moon, silver and white are colors of intuition and purity. They increase Cancer’s sensitivity and understanding, allowing love to flow at its deepest level.

Leo color: Gold

Glistening gold empowers Leo’s warm heart and strengthens its positive spirit. Shining with royalty and class, gold has always been a symbol of power and prestige. So it’s no wonder Leo — the King of the Jungle — is stirred by this expressive hue. Gold gives Leo the attention it wants, and supports its generous nature and warm, optimistic outlook on life.

Virgo color: Green and brown

Classic, natural brown and green keep Virgo grounded and focused on continuous growth. Brown represents stability, and supports the careful and methodical approach the Virgin takes to life. In nature green is the color of growth, and strengthens Virgo’s lifelong plight toward self-improvement.

Libra color: Pink and blue

Airy pink and light blue help to open Libra’s heart and soften its presence. These pale hues bring a calming and likeable presence to Libra’s personality. Symbolizing a cool, subtle breeze, light blue increases clarity and balance, while pink invokes Libra’s sweet and loving nature.

Scorpio color: Black

Dark and mysterious black keeps Scorpio intensely inquisitive and focused on transformation. Black represents the depths where the Scorpion resides, and strengthens its drive to look below the surface and question everything. In western culture the color black is associated with death and rebirth, enhancing Scorpio’s strength of letting go and its ability to transform itself.

Sagittarius color: Purple

As the color of spirituality and awareness, lush purple pushes Sagittarius’ philosophical mind toward enlightenment and openness. Also a color of abundance, purple encourages Sagittarius’ natural luck and positive nature, and drives it to continuously broaden its horizons.

Capricorn color: Brown and grey

Earthy grey and brown help Capricorn find the strongest and most practical path to take in life. These strong but neutral colors enhance Capricorn’s solidity, reliability, and traditionalism. A combination of extremes — white and black — grey increases the conservative nature of Capricorn and its no-nonsense approach to life. Brown represents stability, and can greatly benefit the Goat’s steadfast determination as it strives to reach its goals.

Aquarius’ color: Blue

Calming blue helps encourage Aquarius’ brilliant ideas and balance its restless energy. Just like the sky and the waters Aquarius is so closely connected to, blue represents vastness and creates a smooth flow of ideas, conversation, and experimentation. Fun fact: Uranus — Aquarius’ ruling planet — is also blue!

Pisces color: Light green

Perfectly pale green brings about healing and renewal and connects Pisces with its subconscious. As the color of life, light green represents renewal and inspiration, encouraging the healing and rejuvenating energies that Pisces is known for.

Virgo Moon can help you keep things in perspective.

Aries
It takes time and effort to build relationships. And right now, career help could come from people who can vouch for you. With Mercury and the energy of optimistic Jupiter influencing your grand plan dreams, it’s important to mix with those you respect and trust.

Taurus
The energy of Mercury and Jupiter can give you an opportunity to work with others to increase your financial security. Mixing business with pleasure could be very good right now as well, but check the guest list to ensure that someone significant has not been left out.

Gemini
Life does not stand still, and even when you seem idle, your mind still races. And you can expect to be even busier with personal arrangements, now that Mercury and Jupiter are both opposite your sign. But before you go ahead with plans, check that nobody has changed their mind, as Mercury is retrograde.

Cancer
You are one of the most giving signs of the zodiac, but don’t let anybody take advantage of you. As Mercury and Jupiter both influence your daily schedule, make sure you have enough time planned out for your own needs.

Leo
You are self-assured enough to accept that not everyone is going to be on your side, but you also don’t want to turn people off by being overly confident and coming across as self-important. When trying to get someone’s attention, show your sincerity.

Virgo
There’s a big difference between doing what you want and what needs to be done. And if you don’t make a choice one way or another, you could miss out on opportunities. Do take time to think things over, but come to a conclusion soon. Make a decision and don’t feel guilty about it.

Libra
Unsolicited advice is not always welcome, unless it’s directed at very close friends and you know they won’t mind. And, even then, they still may choose not to listen, so don’t get too invested in the outcome. People may claim to want help but, actually, they just want someone to hear them out.

Scorpio
Don’t be a spendthrift over the holidays unless you can really afford it. With Mercury and Jupiter both in your area of finances, it can indicate that there may be financial details you need to know about.

Sagittarius
For you, Sagittarius, your schedule is always busy, that’s the way you like it. And with Mercury, Jupiter and the Sun all in your sign, be careful not to be so busy that you gloss over an important discussion. You will want to get the facts, and preferably in black and white.

Capricorn
Think carefully before you decide to share a confidence with someone at work or to do with business. Not everyone can be trusted to keep your secrets under wraps. It may highlight someone’s intentions, but you could find out about their loyalty the hard way if they decide to go behind your back with sensitive information.

Aquarius
Communication planet Mercury and Jupiter can highlight the need for a discussion with a friend in relation to monetary matters. The astral aspect can help uncover different options. Keep an open mind; someone’s different opinion could be worth a closer look.

Pisces
A discussion at work can have an effect on your relationship in some way. And if you need to do more hours over the holidays than expected, then tell the people who are special to you, so they don’t think you’re ignoring them. An openhearted discussion can solve just about anything.

Your Daily Love Tarot Card for November 28 is The Moon

The Moon

The Moon is a timepiece that says conditions are changing. However, you should proceed cautiously. In love, go lightly and give things the time and the opportunity to take root. In life, it is a moment between the end of old ways and the beginning of new. And, beginnings should be nurtured as one cares for a plant. The seed is the initial decision for which it is time.

Your Tarot Power Card for November 28 is The Tower

The Tower

You may feel trapped. Sometimes this card appears when somebody you love is imprisoned or kept away from you. This feeling of confinement may be self-imposed, or it may be placed upon you by somebody who feels the limitations are best. You can use this to avoid dealing with problems for now, but there’s no way to break out with force. Instead, argue diplomatically for the rights for freedom, even if this battle must be waged against your own mind!

The key points to remember with the letter Huathe are obstacles, walls, and obstructions. Your Daily Karmic Number for November 28 is One

Hansel and Gretel dropped breadcrumbs in the woods to find their way back home. But the crumbs got eaten up and they ended up lost – and almost fell victim to a witch. What does this have to do with your 1 result today? You have lost your way because you are following too much of other people’s advice. This is a time to turn a deaf ear to any guidance not coming from your inner self. Meditate or just do nothing for five minutes. The answers will come to you, from within. Listen carefully and be confident in their advice.

Your Earth Sky News for November 28: Sun enters Ophiuchus on November 30

November 30, 2018. If you could see the stars in the daytime, you’d see the sun shining in front of the border of the constellations Ophiuchus and Scorpius on this date. The sun crosses a constellation boundary, into Ophiuchus.
At about this time each year, the sun passes out of Scorpius to enter Ophiuchus. Like Scorpius, Ophiuchus is a constellation of the zodiac … but unlike Scorpius, Ophiuchus is not one of the traditional twelve zodiacal constellations.

The sun will remain in front of Ophiuchus until December 18.

The ecliptic – which translates on our sky’s dome as the sun’s annual path in front of the background stars – actually passes through 13 constellations, as defined by the International Astronomical Union (IAU), although this is not commonly known. After all, when you read the horoscope in the daily newspaper or a monthly magazine, you see only 12 constellations, or signs, mentioned.

There are the 12 traditional zodiacal constellations that have been with us since ancient times. The relatively recent addition of Ophiuchus as a member of the zodiac has increased the number to 13.

Today’s constellation boundaries were drawn out by the International Astronomical Union in the 1930s.

Look at the chart carefully, and you’ll see that the border between Ophiuchus and the constellation Scorpius for the most part lies just south of, or below, the ecliptic. In ancient times, the Ophuichus-Scorpius border was likely placed to the north of, or above, the ecliptic. Had the International Astronomical Union placed its constellation boundary where the ancients might have, the sun’s annual passing in front of Scorpius would be from about November 23 till December 18, not November 23 to November 30.

Bottom line: As seen from Earth, the sun passes in front of the constellation Ophiuchus each year from about November 30 to December 18.

Good Wednesday Morning To All Our Dear Brothers & Sisters of The Craft!

An Ancient Way

We have carried the pain of generations
in our bones throughout our life
the very blood, the most minuscule of particles
that makes us this particular woman
remembers all who went before us

Too often we have pretended to be fine
to please those around us
to allow this world to think that
everything is okay
and that silent hearts allow
for more than superficiality

Too long we have submerged our knowing
our wisdom, our unity with the depth
of life that moves on this planet
between the realms, behind the thin, thin veil
No longer
Now the pain, the sorrow is being felt

Through generations we have become strong
and as the pain rises, this time, we are able
to weep, to moan our relief

Letting go, no longer carrying that which
we were taught to ignore
Feeling it all, this pain, this hunger that
has followed us and now will not be shaken off
A hunger for more, for love to reign, for the depth
and power that is ours to rise and be known

We allow it to surface, we encourage it to be known
and to be heard, not only deep within our soul
but out there, in our world
We reach out to hold one another’s hand.

We give birth to an ancient way of life.
