Invocation to the Three-Fold One

Invocation to the Three-Fold One

Maiden, Maiden, robed in light
Rejoice with us, this Sabbat night
Beauty Thy shield, and love Thy sword
Hath vanquished even death’s dark Lord.
We bow before Thy gentle might.

Thy youthful joy doth never fade
Be welcome, oh Crone, sweet Mother, and Maid!

Mother Goddess, clad in green
Our circle Thy court, oh gracious Queen
All that lives comes forth from Thee
And dying returns – as the drop to the sea.
Rule Heaven, rule Hell, and the wide worlds between.

Thy lunar crown will light our scene,
Come and bless us Old Crone, sweet Maiden, and Queen.

Ancient Crone, in tatters old
Thy lore is bitter, Thy rede is cold
In wisdom fabled beyond our ken
Thou holdest wake over Gods and men
Then layest them down, to rest, in the mould.

With Thy wisdom be with us – Maid, Mother, and Crone!

The Witches Magick for Wednesday, May 24th – Sewing Needle Ritual For Protection

Sewing Needle Ritual For Protection

Items You Will Need:
A sewing needle
A reel of white thread
Sea salt

Fill a glass on half with cold water, add to water three spoons of salt and cut off from the reel about yard of the white thread. Put this thread into the glass with salty water and make the three sign of the pentagram over it. When the thread has become wet, get it from water and to thread the needle.

Tie together the ends of the thread with a triple knot. Take the needle in the right hand, touch a door hinge on your front door with the needlepoint and move it so along all length of the door hinge . Start this movement on a side of the top door hinge. If the hinge at the left side of the door, move from left to right, then downward, from right to left and upward to the same hinge. If the hinge at the right side of the door, move the needle downward, from right to left, then upward and from left to right. All time the needlepoint touches the hinge with light press. Having finished this action, stick the needle in the top corner of the doorjamb above the hinge, and say:

The needle as a steel lance,
Stab up all enemies and foes,
Ward off all disasters.

Thus you receive “lightning conductor” for neutralization of directed on you and on your home negative energy. This protection works approximately one year, after the expiration of it, you must replace the needle and the thread. Uttering the protective incantation, cautiously remove the needle from the door hinge:

Black to black,
white to white,
Dead to dead,
and alive to alive.

At once after that, go to a lonely place, and bury the needle with the thread in a ground.
If you suspect that on you and on your family are attracting negative or evil influences, replace the needle more often — once a month or once a week. But in all case do it on Friday evening.

About This Time of Chaos

About This Time of Chaos

I am Mary Magdalene and I am here in your midst. I would like to touch each one of you and place a gentle kiss on your cheek. You are so dear to me. I love you.

I see your courage and strength. It costs you quite a lot to be here on the Earth, in this vibration, where fear and violence often still set the tone. There is now a lot of information that frequently becomes available on the news media that demands your attention. Everything old and dark that has been repressed and kept hidden is coming to the surface. Modern technology plays a role in doing that because it helps to make things more transparent in your society. More information than ever before is being disseminated, and many shadowy motives and practices are being exposed, so it then appears as if there is an intensification of evil, of darkness.

However, what is actually happening is that things are coming to the surface, becoming more visible now than ever before, because there are huge processes of transformation at work on Earth. What is being exposed to the light are old layers of the abuse of power, tyranny, fear, and despair. And that is a good thing because, with a step toward more transparency, it is possible to act differently. Awareness comes before change, which is the way it always is.

This is the phase of consciousness that humanity and the Earth are now going through at the global level. The processes that are taking place in each of you individually – the coming up of old layers of fear, anger, and pain – are also taking place collectively on a large scale. The good news is that the world is ready for this. Space is needed to allow old and hidden things to come to the surface, and that is now the case.

Consciousness has already changed; it is more open to truth and honesty. Feel that deep within. Feel a stream of consciousness that is focussed on openness and transparency, on the search for truth, and on the denouncing of injustice and unfairness. That stream of consciousness exists in the world, so connect with that flow of truth.

This is the flow of consciousness in which your soul wants to move because your soul wants to contribute to revealing more truth. There is a powerful impulse in your soul to support consciousness transformation, but there is also confusion in your mind because to be in support of consciousness transformation means a number of things. The first is that it is necessary for you to step away from the old and become completely honest about your own feelings and motives; in other words, that you learn to be transparent to yourself. For only in this way can you be an example to others.

You are on your soul’s personal path to transformation into a lightworker or consciousness worker. You are becoming a teacher, in so far as you are stepping away from the old to which you are still bound. Yet that is a step that can instill fear and loneliness in you, at least temporarily. Recognize your desire for truth and your desire to help change this world; your longing for a new Earth in harmony with nature; your desire for a world filled with people who can laugh and grow again, and be authentic, free from the fears and tyranny of the past.

Your yearning for this is very deep; it is your dream, your ideal. Feel how that makes you different in that you have one leg – that of your soul – already outside the established order. For a moment, identify completely with that side of yourself, the revolutionary; the one who sees and wants to bring what is dark and repressed into the light of consciousness; the one who wants to help birth the new, andthat is you! And while you become this more and more, you go through a deep inner process of freeing yourself from fears, from old compulsions, and that is your inner process. Have respect for your own courage and decisiveness!

Many of you are confused about the world situation as it now exists. The world is in chaos and the emotional life of the people on Earth is, for the most part, chaotic. Everyone is searching, and because of the great number of changes and the massive amount of information available, people now sense much more what their possibilities are, how they can develop, and how they are suffering and what causes their pain.

Everything is much more conscious. Before there can be inner harmony and peace, the unrest and pain become greater. And that is the result of becoming conscious; you can no longer hide these things. You see that pain, and from your heart you want to alleviate it in others. Yet at the same time, because you have so much pain in yourself, you are confused as to who you are, where you stand, or where your path lies.

Now, imagine that you observe the Earth and the people on it as a large globe. You stand outside it and you look upon it as a giant sphere with lots of energies. There is much searching on Earth and there is also a lot of pain. Just look at the colors of that sphere. See how they flow and move, and not just the hues of the chaos, but also those of the drive toward innovation. Look and feel what that globe is doing, but know that you may stand outside it; that you may be detached from it.

Now take a step back and move your consciousness away from the globe and toward yourself. You have looked at the Earth carefully, the energy of humanity. Now focus your attention fully upon yourself and see yourself as an energy form, no longer as a human being, but as an energetic appearance.

Look at your heart. Feel how the pain and suffering of humanity have touched you. Feel your compassion, your desire for light. Maybe you can see that most clearly, most especially, with the people you care about in your everyday life, because you want so much for them to have light, love, and healing. See what that does to your heart. Does it tug on your heart? When you feel the pain of another person, you are connected through an energy cord to that person which contains dark energies, so you suffer along with them. You do not make yourself bigger, you do not rise above them, you crawl into the skin of the other person and you suffer along with them. Yet, at the same time, you feel powerless to change anything.

Look at the energies you carry from the outside world that are not yours, but which make your heart heavy. Allow that energy flow to take the form of a dark color, or a feeling of heaviness, and see what it looks like or where it manifests in your aura or body.

Then take another step back. Let go of that energy cord, that chain of compassion, which is squeezing you smaller and causing you to give too much. Take a step back and cut yourself loose from that cord. If you find it hard to do, imagine that I am with you and that I invite you to do this. Take my hand and see in my eyes that it is good that you should let go. It is now your time! Let the gray, dark energies flow away from you and instead envelop yourself with light. That light is simply there; you do not have to create it, it is yours: it is the light you have suppressed. Allow yourself to be completely surrounded by that light, whatever color it takes.

Now you are even farther from Earth and from other people. You are drinking from the energy of your soul, the part of you that observes and oversees, that which makes things transparent. Allow yourself to be completely nourished by that energy, from head to toe, and feel how your aura is like an enclosed egg, an oval form that is impervious at its surface.

Recharge yourself and feel how you are wholly entitled to nurture yourself in this way. Come home to yourself and let go of everything else. You are able to breathe and feel your original inspiration again. You are born to experience joy. Feel that original joy again, free from all heaviness, and give yourself to that.

You are in confusion, and sometimes you are so involved in the suffering on Earth, that you forget who you are. You are the representatives of the new energy on Earth, especially when you are completely at home in yourself, when you feel at home within your own boundaries. Then you know how to handle your limits. You radiate the new in its optimal form, and there is nothing to change.

By being totally yourself, you radiate a new consciousness that can not help but touch other people. Those who are ready are touched by you without your having to go beyond your limits, without you exhausting yourself, or trying harder, or battling with the pain and suffering of others. This is not the way of the new.

Now imagine that this energetic egg, in which you feel safe and light, slowly floats back to Earth. As the Earth comes closer, you feel light and transparent, and you know that the vibrations of the Earth and the fears that live there can not affect you. See those fears before you as gray vibrations that flow effortlessly around your egg, because they can not come inside. You hold fast to your own energy – your concentrated fullness – and you feel supported by me, by your own soul, by all that is good and light and joyful. You are allowed to be here from your deepest core, which is light and joyful, wide and beautiful, and free.

Imagine that you now land on Earth. You stand in an earthly body with both feet firmly on the ground. You first stand on a place in nature with your bare feet on the grass, or on a beach, or wherever you choose, and you bring everything with you: your soul, your inner strength, your resilience, your insights. Attune yourself to this planet, the Earth. Feel how she sees you when you stand in your own strength. Do you sense her enthusiasm? She will support you, give you roots, empower you.

Now imagine that you are walking in the heart of a city. It is mayhem there. It is not only busy physically – there are people, cars, noise – but there is also an energy here that is more restless, more chaotic. All those feelings, emotions, and moods of people swirl around you and there is little of the natural world to provide calm and balance. Yet you stand there in your egg made of light energy, your own energy.

Imagine this: you are standing in the middle of a street, or a sidewalk, and take the time to really put yourself there. In the middle of all this concrete of the city, you are aware of Mother Earth, for she is there as well. As a result of her presence, you become aware of the hearts of all the people who are walking here. Among all the superficial emotions – the confusion, haste, impatience – there lives in every human a heart. Stay unattached to all those muddled energies that surge about you; instead, concentrate on those hearts.

You feel yourself standing very firmly, that there is an invisible spaciousness around you. Even when people walk close to you, that spaciousness is still there. Feel firmly grounded. You are connected to all these people, yet that need not worry you. Feel the promise out there that exists in each of their hearts. Feel that in the heart of every human being is a desire and a search for truth, for light, although sometimes the truth is found only through all kinds of twisting paths. That, however, is part of the human way.

Feel the enormous power and endurance in people and see how there is a logic in each unique way: a direction, a purpose. Trust in their hearts. Do not deny them the twists and turns of their road; do not try to straighten their paths, that is not your business. Your job is purely to touch their hearts by your presence and awareness, and you are already doing that by being present.

Imagine that you are standing in the middle of the street and you feel in your heart a gentle intention to reach the hearts of all those people out there with a caress, a tender touch, and that is all. With that gesture you merely say, “I see you”, and you remain quietly in your own energy, you stay in your own field, and you maintain connection with your abdomen and your legs and feet, and you feel free.

This is your “work”: to be different but to still be in the middle of the world; to help, but not to lose yourself in the suffering and pain of others; to give from your heart. On the one hand, you step out of society, but on the other hand, you connect with it from the heart, and by doing this, you fulfill your soul’s purpose and that is your dearest wish.

In this way, you are contributing to a different, better world, but you also free yourself from the old; free yourself from what has kept you chained to fear. Wherever you stand on this path, I ask you to respect yourself, to have the courage to withdraw deep within yourself on a regular basis. I ask you to momentarily let go of what links you to everything else and to experience the beauty and power of your soul. From there, you can take another step into the world knowing there is not that much you need to do. It is really about being deeply at home within yourself, about respecting your own soul energy, and from there going along gently with the flow of life.

I greet you all with the utmost respect. Feel my admiration for you all. You are the teachers of the new time. Thank you very much.

May’s Gemini new Moon falls on the 25th in the US and the 26th in Australia. This is yet another dynamic lunation (haven’t they all been for ages and ages?) There have been many changes before us, on every level, and, we may be considering what next? We may make some big new decisions as a result of this new Moon as it is one of change and decision. The last full Moon, in Scorpio, was one of feeling like quitting something, at least in some measure, or, we may be looking at how others haven’t lived up their responsibilities. This can have us wondering whether to continue with some activity, job, relationship, living arrangements, etc. For many, it may be that we have to adjust to new conditions or situations – perhaps we’ve wanted something to materialise, but, it hasn’t yet. The message at the moment is to continue to see yourself in the situation that you want to see yourself in – not in the situation that you don’t want to see yourself in. We are finding so many signs and synchronicities happening lately. It pays to listen to the promptings from our surroundings to be and have more of what we want.

One of the major aspects of this new Moon is the t-square between Venus, Pluto and Jupiter. In the week leading up to this new Moon, Venus and Jupiter were opposite each other. In fact, Jupiter stationed to go direct again after months of being retrograde smack opposite the point that Venus went retrograde, making this opposition all the more powerful. Some months ago, Venus went retrograde on a degree that talks about passion, jealousy, difficulty, etc, in relationships.

The degree that Venus went retrograde in early March is Aries 14: A SERPENT COILING NEAR A MAN AND A WOMAN – the following is my shortened interpretation for this degree: –

This Symbol shows that there is likely to be tense emotion, particularly around relationships. There can be a sense of tension, fear and passion. Situations may arise where something or someone tries to come between you and a beloved. This can be a person, an event or an emotion. Jealousy, temptation, fear, resentment or separation can arise. You may need to learn to let go and find new depths to your ways of relating and relationships. Are you looking for, or have you found, your Garden of Eden?

Keywords: Enticement. Allurement. The revelation of archetypal knowledge that may not be ‘socially acceptable’. Temptations. Heated emotions. Passion. Kundalini energy.

The Caution: Feeling guilty about being afraid to express your feelings. Basic instincts and sexual energy. Jealousy. Using passion as a controlling device. Being thrown out of the garden.

Right as Venus went retrograde, I saw a brown snake in my garden in the mountains. It was quite astounding, really, as I’ve not ever in my 17 or so years of spending time in that garden seen a snake. Many people reported how they, too, had come across snakes (or heard stories about them). It was a very interesting time. Just this last week, Venus has cleared its shadow, and, it spent a day or two, again, on this degree. We are being given the opportunity to let go of this feeling of being ‘thrown out of the Garden Of Eden’, we may have to forgive and forget and let go, though, in order to really achieve this liberation.

So, now we have Jupiter sitting stationary direct on Libra 14: A Noon Siesta. This could imply that we need to take some time out to rest, to regroup our energies. Perhaps we need to sleep alone or to be alone, OR, it could be that we’re tired of not having someone in our lives on an intimate level. Only you will know how this effects your life. One thing is for certain, many of us feel like we’ve been going around and around and around in circles, and, we might need to just stop and smell the roses.

With this new Moon, Venus has moved to square Pluto. This can be a decision point; we have been integrating much into our experience for a long time now, and, Venus is in a position to say yes or no, stay or go, be committed or break the ties. A decision made now can impact on many levels of our lives, not just in relationships. Staying true to one’s self is key as is not vacillating nor selling ourselves out.

Requiring more effort and decisions is Mars moving into an opposition with Saturn. Again, we may hit a brick wall and feel that it is not worth fighting, pushing or continuing to compromise, especially if we are wasting our time, feeling drained, or, feeling unloved or unappreciated. Someone, it could be you or another, is likely to be moving on, moving away, or disappearing from the scene. Forgiveness is, as always, key here.

To me, though, is the Big Kahuna of transits that are happening, and, I see it as extremely positive and liberating, is that we have a grand trine with a kite between Saturn, Uranus and the Moon’s Nodes. Putting these all together, it seems that we are in a time of manifesting our desires, changing our lives to be more of what we want, and, attracting those people, situations or events, that would contribute to enriching our lives. The arrow of the kite points directly at the Moon’s south node. This, to me, speaks of letting go of the past. The Sabian Symbol for the south node is Aquarius 29: A Butterfly Emerging From The Chrysalis. We are being asked to ’emerge’, to stretch and spread our wings and to fly into a new sense of love, safety and security. This speaks to me of getting straight with our relationships with others, our mindsets, our beliefs, our imaginings (most of all, our imaginings).

The new Moon each month marks a time of new beginnings and realisations. It’s like a birth after a time of gestation or being ‘in the womb’. Here, the light begins to return and we can see new beginnings and possibilities. A new Moon means that the Sun and the Moon are both together – bringing a synergy of their energies together. The new Moon is a perfect time to set your intentions for the future. This period is wonderful for planting seeds of whatever kind. What do you want to manifest in your future? Whether you write it down, sing about it or just hold the thought forms in your mind, doing this at the new Moon can realise some fabulous results around the things that you want to draw into your life.

symbols_moon.jpgThe new Moon is on Gemini 5: A RADICAL MAGAZINE OR PUBLICATION, ASKING FOR ACTION, DISPLAYS A SENSATIONAL FRONT PAGE – the following is from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom

‘A Radical Magazine or Publication’ is shown. It is ‘Asking For Action’ and ‘Displays a Sensational Front Page’. Sometimes, in order to be taken seriously or be noticed, people need to do or say something rousing, radical or out of the ordinary especially when there is a need, or a desire, to change things. There are probably some strong feelings that ‘Action’ needs to be taken – bear in mind, however, that the status quo can be very hard to awaken, change or shift. As this is a ‘Radical Magazine’ it can lead to moves that are disruptive or even threatening to stability or security in some measure. Further, the ‘Action’ that is being called for can lead to less than desirable outcomes. Events that unfold can be highly charged emotionally.

Oracle: You may be motivated for change, and getting the attention of those around you may require radical and even abrasive action. This Symbol can equally be seen from the opposite view; perhaps you are having difficulty with someone who is being noisy, disruptive, demanding or looking to cause change. Whichever, the issue is most likely overblown and exaggerated in some way. There may be a lot of dramatic ‘Action’ and overreaction to what is said or done. Things may currently seem threatening but are probably just reflections of moments in time and likely to pass before long. Someone may meet his or her match vocally. Attention-seeking devices, such as the ‘Sensational Front Page’ should be used very carefully and never against anyone. Once everyone is paying attention there may need to be an effort to publicize a more reasonable perspective. Sometimes we overuse terms like “you never” and “that’s the last time I ever…” It is important to get past the exaggerated ‘Sensational’ words and look at why such large statements are thought necessary in the first place.

Keywords: Speaking one’s mind. Messages and news that awakes or shocks. The need for reform. Challenging outlooks. Breaking out of constraints. The media. Issues of propaganda. Headlines that promise more than they deliver. Revolutions. Social or emotional causes. Conspiracy theories. Printing presses. Publishing. Publicity. Gaining attention. Speaking one’s truth without fear of consequences. Fake or real news?

The Caution: Being argumentative. Arousing others for selfish reasons. Distortions of the truth. Misinformation and disinformation. Getting the whole picture wrong. Exploitation of situations. Overstating messages. Biased information. Old and outworn news.

The Karmic Degree for the Moon is Gemini 4: HOLLY AND MISTLETOE BRING CHRISTMAS SPIRIT TO A HOME

This Symbol speaks of sharing the joys of family and celebrations. There regularly comes a time when we need to reconnect with loved ones, family, or, in a larger sense humanity, to discover the strengths and joys in the cultural and religious bonds that hold us together. Even though we may live our lives primarily as separate entities, this bond can serve to strengthen each and every participant. Remembering each other periodically helps to keep our connections strong and it reinforces our sense of spirit and belonging.

Keywords: Social celebrations of the spirit. Returning to basic joys. Remembering past celebrations of family and social cohesion. Kissing under the mistletoe. Simple gestures that remind us of larger realities. Warmth, joy and anticipation. The Festive Season. The spirit of special occasions.

The Caution: The use of superficial tricks. Performances to achieve the appearance of happiness or familial ties. Neglecting family. Excluding others because of religious beliefs. Rituals that have no depth or true meaning. Loneliness. Not being in the spirit of things. Having too much to do. The Silly Season. Scrooge mentalities that don’t want to know about family and celebrations.

The Quest Degree for the Moon is Gemini 6: WORKMEN DRILLING FOR OIL

This Symbol shows the talent, desire, ability or the necessity of digging deep in order to find something or to make a big strike. Ambition in the pursuit of material or spiritual wealth can bring wonderful rewards to the surface. There’s a feeling of wanting to reach into or understand the depths of an issue. This entails a certain amount of risk and may require the cooperation of others who have skills in such a search. The rewards are often difficult to find and at times unsuccessful, however, perseverance will bring some kind of success. You may have to get used to operating in the dark.

Keywords: Pursuit of material or spiritual wealth. Ambition. The drive to plumb the depths. Trying to get to the bottom of things. Opportunistic attitudes. Making a fortune through other’s resources. Psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. Dream analysis. Explorations, past life or present. Dependence on wealth. Research. Exploring answers. Oil and oil wells. Drills and equipment. Searching for a reward.

The Caution: Putting a great deal of effort into risky activities for uncertain returns. Unceasing work. Hoping to just “strike it rich”. Neglecting friends and loved ones. Focusing too deeply on a goal. Being opportunistic and looking for the “lucky strike”. Relying on others to come up with the goods. Gold diggers and opportunists. Exploiting resources. Depression. Digging into people’s private matters.

symbols_mercury.jpgMercury is on Taurus 11: A WOMAN SPRINKLING LONG ROWS OF FLOWERS

This Symbol shows the need to take time to nurture your physical self. The mind needs to take a rest and the body needs to be allowed to come to bloom and bask, a little, in the light. Keeping an eye on things that you are responsible for will ensure that they don’t dry out and fade away ahead of, or before, their time. Weeding out undesirable factors will be a necessary part of the process as will tending to those who can’t or won’t look after themselves. Quiet moments of tender care can enliven others and allow them to grow.

Keywords: Having patience and care. Nurturing and fertilizing creativity. External evidence of internal beauty. Looking after small details to reap treasures later. The Tree of Life. Stopping to smell the roses. Paying attention to detail. Flower essences. Sprinkling love and sustenance. Watering and fertilizing. Tending the soil. Care and love.

The Caution: Giving superficial attention just to keep up appearances. Neglect of things once they’re established. Giving up on projects half way through. Dehydration and neglect. Droughts or energy, love or feeling. Neglecting things in favor of other priorities. Water restrictions.

The Karmic Degree for Mercury is Taurus 10: A RED CROSS NURSE WITH WARM SYMPATHY

This Symbol shows caring, sympathy and nursing others so they may find health and comfort. You probably have a lot of work of your own, but you may have to give your time to those needing help first. A great deal of inner healing can be achieved when helping, however, this can be difficult when you have to do too much. You may have to cross over to the ‘dark side’ in order to bring light to situations. Adopt a hands-on attitude when looking after others and ensuring they get their needs met.

Keywords: Unconditional and compassionate understanding and caring. Breaking down the borders between self and others. Always having to find reserves of energy. Looking after people’s physical, emotional, spiritual welfare. Giving and also receiving. Volunteer work. First aid kits. Bedside manners. Having a mission to fulfill. Having a shoulder to cry on.

The Caution: ‘Fussing’ around and doing more than one needs to. Always butting in, even when it’s not necessary or wanted. Being a doormat and doing more than your share. Not caring how others are coping, even when it’s really necessary. Being officious and bossy. Feeling used.

The Quest Degree for Mercury is Taurus 12: A YOUNG COUPLE WALK DOWN MAIN-STREET, WINDOW-SHOPPING

This Symbol shows an image of a young couple window shopping, imagining and picturing what they want for their future. Some things may be out of reach, but that doesn’t stop you from looking, planning and dreaming of what might be. Enjoy the interlude, and then get back to your real life where you can take steps to make money or put your plans into actuality rather than just looking. Jealousy and greed can rise up when there seems to be so much, so close. Realize that things of inner worth are available to you right now.

Keywords: The longing for “things”. The allure of ownership. Consumerism. Trying to raise money. Worrying about the “cost” of things. Weddings and engagements. Credit cards. Finances that are shared. Shared dreams. The future and its possibilities. Young people. Planning. Shopping. The honeymoon period. So much so close and yet so far.

The Caution: Denying happiness because of material deficiency. “Keeping up with the Jones”. Not focusing on your partner/friend. Unsure of where one stands. Being unwilling to commit to anything just yet. Avoiding the heart of one’s relationship. Focusing on the financial side. Issues of ‘who pays for what’. Arguments over money or possessions. Merely ‘Window Shopping’ not committing. Overspending. Being in debt. Monetary distractions. Missed opportunities.

Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.

symbols_venus.jpgVenus is on Aries 20: A YOUNG PERSON FEEDING BIRDS IN WINTER

This Symbol shows the ability to help those in need of help, to provide safety, security, nourishment or emotional support, especially to those who may not know how to solve their problems themselves. There are those that stubbornly resist moving on or changing their habits, even if it is to their detriment, and providing them with a safe harbor can bring many rewards. This is about sharing and caring. Nonjudgmental attitudes can move you to help them and lead them to trust. A dedication to helping others has its own rewards.

Keywords: Nurturing innocence. Feeding energy to situations that feel cold, hopeless and lost. Small efforts bringing their rewards. Co-dependent relationships. Nurturing. Helping those less fortunate or smaller. Taking time out for others. Doing things without thought of reward. Enjoying nature. Trying to find friends or company. Bread and water. Soup kitchens. Counselling. Hot vs. cold weather.

The Caution: Wanting to win approval. Creating dependence with others that has to be maintained. Feeling bleak, lost and alone. The need to continually rescue others. Doing anything in order to be liked. Finding it difficult to stop giving. Not being able to say “no”. Feeling used and unrewarded.

The Quest Degree for Venus is Aries 21: A BOXER IS ENTERING THE RING

This Symbol shows that there may be a temptation to take on issues, even to fight, but it needs to be with dignity and regulation. You may feel a need, or the urge, to step up to the plate and take something or someone on. There are rules to follow and often others will be end up being the judge of the final outcome. Make sure you possess the skills and training to defend what you believe. Remember that sometimes you need to back off if you’re not winning a contest. Question: is someone on the attack or the defense?

Keywords: Physical or psychological self – assertion and determination. Attack or defense? Fighting for emotional, psychological or physical space. Being seen as a person of strength. Throwing punches. Fighting on any level. Being prepared to take a swing at someone or something. Stepping up to the plate. Throwing down the gauntlet. Going after the title. Big vs. small egos.

The Caution: Using force or power to dominate people or those who challenge. Acting in a combative manner. Not displaying sportsmanship. Wanting to knock people out. Looking for combat. Throwing punches at anything. Belting, smacking, invading. Being punch-drunk.

Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.

symbols_mars.jpgMars is on Gemini 24: CAREFREE CHILDREN SKATING ON ICE

This Symbol speaks of children having to tread carefully and watchfully. Situations are likely to come up where you may not know exactly what to do in challenging situations. If you feel like you’re on “thin ice” you may feel like you’re walking on eggshells; planning each step as you go and listening for cracks the entire time. If you don’t acknowledge changes and adjust yourself accordingly you may be at a disadvantage. Be wary of blindly rushing into anything – you may get to the point where you can’t safely return to where you began. If, however, you set out to have fun while being mindful of your environment, this could be a fun filled time with lots of shared experiences with good friends. Skating over difficulties. Finding creative and childlike solutions to problems. Treading on eggshells. Children facing physical or emotional hardship. Parents that crack up.

Keywords: Getting around difficult situations by making the most of them (or evading them). Skating over problems. Finding creative and childlike solutions. Testing the boundaries. Considering consequences. Tiptoeing around problems with family. Responding quickly to every type of situation. Knowing how to maneuver tight situations. Observing one’s center of gravity. Being keenly aware. Testing the waters. Being alert.

The Caution: Rushing before checking that it is safe to do so. Living for momentary pleasures, without thought of ramifications. Getting away with things through acting naively and childishly. Taking risks that put others lives on the line. Going too far too fast. Lack of warm clothing. Frozen atmospheres.

The Karmic Degree for Mars is Gemini 23: THREE FLEDGLINGS IN A NEST HIGH UP IN A TREE

This Symbol implies a situation of people sharing their space, living together and cohabitating as they grow and mature. Situations are likely to be full of potential and promise for the future. The spirit may not be quite ready to fly on its own and still be in need of the “mother” – or the company of siblings and friends – to sustain, protect and nourish. The time for independence will come, and probably soon, however it may be too soon to break out on your own. Know that you will be able to rise up and leave and venture out on your own. Although there can sometimes be a feeling of being alone and neglected, there is still a sense of safety.

Keywords: Discovering a whole new sense of being. Teaching. Safety. Living in small spaces. Wanting room to move. Privacy. Staying in the ‘Nest’ versus leaving it. Resisting change. Providing room and board for others. Sharing flats and houses. The battle for survival. Being different, therefore breaking the mold. Brothers and sisters. Expecting to be looked after and fed. Growing spirituality. Sibling rivalry.

The Caution: Wanting to leave home before one’s ready. Wondering if one’s needs will be met. Arguments about the pecking order. Psychological immaturity. Feeling dependent on external influences for survival. Feeling trapped by circumstance. Insecurity. Feeling exposed to danger. Codependence. Not knowing or realizing one’s place. Falling out. Bickering over space.

Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.

symbols_jupiter.jpg Jupiter is stationary direct on Libra 14: IN THE HEAT OF THE NOON, A PERSON TAKES A SIESTA

This Symbol speaks of taking a rest when one needs to. At times, you may feel the need to take a break even though you are in the middle of a situation. To relax and recuperate will often serve to give you greater strength to complete the task at hand, also, being always on the go can be rather wearying. However, being lazy and unproductive is not the answer either. Taking a “Noon Siesta” can end up meaning taking hours and hours off work and not managing to make progress or get anywhere. Striking a balance between working too hard and not working hard enough is definitely the key.

Keywords: Meditation. The need to take time out. Sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. Midday rushes. Recuperating or laziness. Hammocks. Long lunch hours. Rejuvenation. Knowing when to call a halt. Taking breaks. Looking after one’s health. Tiredness and yawning. Hot and demanding days leading to inertia or exhaustion. Dreams and fantasies.

The Caution: Wasting time. Being disinterested in things. Losing energy or interest when one should be at the peak of activity or achievement. Refusing to take a break. Going past the bounds of what should be done. Working so hard that one is forced to stop through exhaustion or ill-health. Always being on the go while others sit back and enjoy. Losing one’s grip on reality. Unwinding after toil or trouble. Withdrawal.

Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.

symbols_saturn.jpgSaturn is retrograde on Sagittarius 26: A FLAG-BEARER IN A BATTLE

This Symbol shows standing up in “Battle” carrying the “Flag” for your nation, political, social or moral beliefs, or for some issue that needs defending or supporting. The “Flag-Bearer” is often the one ‘out front’, in front of the situation or the army; the one who’s unarmed and yet determined to represent their side. You may feel that there have been achievements done by you or others that need to be acknowledged. Responsibilities pile up on you, and the struggle is not always easy. Don’t worry, though, although everyone around you is busy, they are noticing your leadership abilities. You are often the linchpin of the whole situation.

Keywords: Having the courage of convictions. Standing up for ideals. Representing one’s collective in a worthy cause. Carrying the standard or the ‘Flag’. David and Goliath. Being the messenger. Advocates. Ensigns. Leadership. Self sacrifice. Fighting for political ideals. Flag waving.

The Caution: The sacrificial lamb. Overzealous idealism. Empty shows of courage. The scapegoat. Always being ready to go into battle. Violence. Fanaticism. Stepping out of line. An inability to keep quiet. Not knowing when to back off.

Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.

symbols_uranus.jpgUranus is on Aries 27: THROUGH IMAGINATION, A LOST OPPORTUNITY IS REGAINED

This Symbol shows the talent or the ability to be able to use inner creative energy to revitalize ideas or opportunities that seemed to be lost. Whatever it is that you need to do, believe that it is possible and create an image in your mind and you will most likely succeed at gaining it or recovering it. Always take heart; there is energy here to recapture things that seemed to be lost. Visualizing what you want, allowing time and watching for it to manifest can bring astounding results. Sometimes, however, the “lost opportunities regained” are in a different form than we had first imagined. Creative imagination and visualization. Hope renewed. Second chances. Last minute reprieves. Being forgiven or pardoned. Imagineering. Making up for losses.

Keywords: Creative imagination and visualization. Hopes renewed when all seemed lost. Second chances. Last minute reprieves. Retracing your steps. Judging things to be positive when once they were thought to be negative. Being exonerated or forgiven. Pardons giving release. Imagineering. Retrieving things. Making up for lost ground or time. Changing your mind therefore changing your outcome.

The Caution: Relying on self-pity. Denying the imagination to recover the situation. Not noticing solutions to problems. Letting chances for recovery disappear through inaction or laziness. Going over and over lost opportunities. Finding it impossible to let go. Staring at loss and not realizing what one has.

Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or ‘different’. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.

symbols_neptune.jpgNeptune is stationary on Pisces 15: AN OFFICER DRILLING HIS MEN IN A SIMULATED ATTACK

This shows being well rehearsed, prepared and ready for anything that life throws at you. When you’re well rehearsed, you are able to spring to attention when situations warrant it. You may feel that you need to rehearse or prepare for difficult situations. There is wisdom in practicing to reduce the chance of error or failure. However, are you going over and over possible positive or negative outcomes thereby losing the joy that can be found in relaxing and letting down your guard? Sometimes the things we think are going to happen don’t happen at all. Choosing where, when and how to be ready and willing to go for objectives is half the battle.

Keywords: Taking orders to better respond to situations. The higher self training the lower self. Exercises. Marching and going through the motions. The need for defense. Seeing ahead. Planning strategies. Fire drills. Smoke alarms. Being prepared. Issuing orders and expecting them to be followed through. Discipline. Martial arts of all kinds. Going over and over possible outcomes. Safeguards put in place. Gas masks and bomb shelters.

The Caution: Rigid routine for no real or valuable purpose. Feeling that one has always to be on the defensive. Being under attack, whether real or imagined. Overreacting to things. Feelings of unworthiness in the face of battle or confrontation. Victim consciousness. Fearful responses. Getting others to respond through spreading fear. Scare tactics. False flag attacks.

Neptune symbolizes: Mystical, “out there,” spirituality and con artists. Dreams, mysteries, mystics and religious issues. Intuition, clairvoyance, seeing into the invisible. Addictive, chaotic, charming, deceptive, illusory, co dependent, sensory awareness.

symbols_pluto.jpg Pluto is retrograde on Capricorn 20: A HIDDEN CHOIR SINGING DURING A RELIGIOUS SERVICE

T his Symbol shows singing, playing or enjoying music, and, also, to be able to pick up on things that others don’t see or hear. The “Hidden Choir” brings songs, or sounds, with messages of salvation and faith. The fact that they are hidden shows something coming out of the background, something subtle, something others may miss. It can be important to be receptive to your feminine, intuitive side, as there are messages to be heard. Realize that you are not alone; there are other people who feel the same things. Watch out for mental noise. The voices of the women heard more through orthodox halls. Do you want to contribute?

Keywords: Background messages. Voices not heard or noticed before. Men, women and the church. Sensitivity to spirituality. Speaking behind closed doors. Voices from “nowhere”. Melodies from the past. Choirs, organs and organ music. Channeled voices. Songs, sheet music. Hidden speakers. Clairvoyance.

The Caution: Taking undue credit for group qualities. Keeping the feminine out of the picture. Discriminating against people as not being “spiritual” or finding that some just plain aren’t! Background voices telling people how they should live. Using hidden messages to manipulate people, sometimes through guilt. Gossip. Messages that don’t make sense. Being afraid to sing.

Pluto symbolizes: Unconscious motivations, depth psychology, history. Sex, procreation at a deep level, intensity, profound emotions, taking hold of one’s power. Being king or queen of one’s underworld. Strength, survival mode instincts. Big money. Big power. The Plutocracy. Power vs power struggles.

symbols_chiron.jpgChiron is on Pisces 29: LIGHT BREAKING INTO MANY COLORS AS IT PASSES THROUGH A PRISM

This shows analyzing things, considering and drawing conclusions from available data and being perceptive of colors, light refraction or reflection, auras and light. You  probably have the ability to break situations down into the simplest components in order to see the full picture. This can and often does lead to a greater understanding of the relationship between the whole and the many parts. Just be careful not to overanalyze, thereby losing the joy that’s inherent in the simplicities of life. Taking a single vision and turning it into many individual streams can be rewarding, but it can also confuse and distract.

Keywords: Spectrum analysis. Color and crystal healing. Rainbows. Light refraction. Side effects. Considering many facets of a situation. Endless opportunities. Optics. Sight. Seeing. Copying and sharing ideas or things. Disseminating information. Auras and aura photography. Triangles. Polarization of light. Reflection. Laboratory tests. Diffracted personality.

The Caution: Locked in to a set of parameters. Over analyzing things. Being blinded by ambition. Daunted by the task ahead. Mirages. Microscopes and binoculars but not seeing things as they really are.

Chiron symbolizes: Our wounds, Chiron is known as The Wounded Healer. The wounds are The Stories That We Tell Ourselves, it is where we have to focus on healing, it can show things that are out of shape or misplaced or in need of repair.

symbols_north_node.jpgThe Moon’s North Node is on Leo 29: A MERMAID HAS CLIMBED TO THE ROCKY SHORE OF A BLEAK COAST, SHE AWAITS THE PRINCE WHO WILL BRING HER IMMORTALITY

This Symbol shows the desire to find a partner or a place in the world where you feel you belong and can contribute; finding a place to ‘come ashore’ in life, establish a career and a life that feels worthwhile. You will be able to make sense of your intuitive or creative thoughts as you grow and find both your feet and your voice. In finally being able to verbalize things into rational expression, you will be creating from your intuitive wisdom. However, there needs to be a caution against expecting others to verify your existence through your relationship with them. Being self reliant whilst inviting others into your life is the balance here.

Keywords: Coming into conscious form. New ways of being. Transformation. New forms emerging out of the past. Needing, and probably expecting, recognition. Feeling different from the crowd. Learning to stand on your own two feet. Problems with feet and legs. Longing to make an impression.

The Caution: Focusing on social or rational aspects before being ready. Naivety. Being thrown in the deep end. Relying on relationships too much. Looking to the other for validation of one’s existence. Co-dependent behavior. Bleak conditions and loneliness.

The Moon’s North Node symbolizes: This is known as quite a ‘karmic point’ (although all planets and points in a chart can be’karmic’). One’s destiny in this life. The things you are meant to integrate, move towards, become. Destined relationships and relationship issues can show up here.

symbols_south_node.jpgThe Moon’s South Node is on Aquarius 29: A BUTTERFLY EMERGING FROM A CHRYSALIS

This Symbol shows growing, expanding, escaping restrictions and evolving into a more expansive sense of self with bigger and better potentials. Like a butterfly emerging, at times like these, you are often at a crossroads or major turning point and you are likely to be able to realize many of your latent, but promising, potentials. Like an awakening, you are suddenly able to do something that truly reflects you and who you strive to be. This emergence builds for some time; a metamorphosis takes place. Ensure that you take a moment to adjust to new developments before taking flight.

Keywords: Slow building of confidence. Coming out into a fuller participation in the bigger picture. Growing up and out. Emerging from the dark. Leaving yesterday behind. Becoming more and more beautiful. Finding one’s feet or wings. Metamorphosis. Huge changes in the works. Giving up struggling. The drama of new life unfolding.

The Caution: Failing to allow changes to be experienced. Feeling like one will never “arrive”. Struggling to emerge ahead of time. Feeling confined. Being tied to the past. Rushing leading to disorientation or injury. Straitjackets.

The Moon’s South Node symbolizes: Past karmic patterns to be overcome, can be habits that are good, but can describe things, relationships, issues that you need to let go of, or, hold you back from manifesting your true destiny. Relationships that feel karmic and difficult, memories from the past.

Your Weekly Karmic Forecast for May 21 – 27

Weekly Forecast: May 21 – 27, 2017

The Karmic Tools Weekly Forecast covers the current planetary transits which affect people in different ways and to various degrees of intensity. Take notice when it is a Personal planet (Sun / Moon / Mercury / Venus / Mars) interacting with a Social (Jupiter/Saturn) or Collective planet (Uranus / Neptune/Pluto). And pay extremely close attention when it is a Social planet interacting with a Collective planet because that means something *big* is brewing that will move large groups of people along their evolutionary paths. Tuning in to the energy and rhythm of the planets can serve as a useful *guide* as you move along your Individual Path. It also helps to understand your place within the context of the larger Social & Collective Story. Below, you will find out how these energies tend to manifest, as well as guidance and direction.

*NOTEThere are some days when there are NO CONTACTS (besides the Moon), please note that there are no missing entries, we just list the actual Activations of each week + the day they happen.

Weekly Forecast: May 21 – 27, 2017

5/25 ~ Venus (your values) ~square~ Pluto (transformation):

This activation brings intensity and it challenges you to grow (out of comfort zone, into new territory) where your relationships & finances are concerned. You’ve probably already felt it coming (the shift in your relationship or financial situation), well, it’s here now, so you can be proactive on your own behalf or you can suffer the consequences of postponing the inevitable. (You may have heard me say: Pay now or pay double later. That applies to this transit too.) The natural reaction may be to try to hold on to the job or relationship, but try not to give in to that temptation. Pluto intensifies everything and the more you resist the necessary purification & change that Pluto brings, the more painful it usually is. It is better to clarify your values & priorities and choose change, rather than have it forced (more Pluto) upon you. Either way, once the dust settles, you should be better off because things either change for the better or go away altogether making room for something new and more in-alignment with your values & priorities of ‘now’.

The Sky This Week for May 24 to 28

The Big Dipper, a crescent Moon, and other fascinating things to look for in the sky this week.
By Richard Talcott

Wednesday, May 24

The Summer Triangle asterism dominates the eastern sky in late evening. Vega, the triangle’s brightest member, shines at magnitude 0.0 and stands highest of the three stars. To its lower left lies Deneb; at magnitude 1.3, it’s the faintest of the trio. Magnitude 0.8 Altair completes the bright asterism. Despite its name, the Summer Triangle appears prominent from late spring until the onset of winter.

Thursday, May 25

New Moon occurs at 3:44 p.m. EDT. At its New phase, the Moon crosses the sky with the Sun and so remains hidden by our star. Because the Moon reaches perigee, the closest point in its orbit around Earth, only six hours later (at 9:21 p.m. EDT), residents in coastal areas can expect higher than normal tides for the next few days. At perigee, the center of the Moon lies 221,958 miles (357,207 kilometers) from Earth’s center.

Friday, May 26

Although the Moon passed nearly between the Sun and Earth yesterday, it reappears as a slender crescent in this evening’s sky. Scan just above the west-northwestern horizon with binoculars about a half-hour after sunset, when the Moon stands 5° (less than a typical binocular field) high. You also should see Mars some 5° to Luna’s upper right.

Saturday, May 27

Saturn offers a visual treat all week. The ringed planet rises before 10 p.m. local daylight time and climbs some 30° above the southern horizon by 2 a.m. Shining at magnitude 0.1, Saturn is easily the brightest object in the constellation Ophiuchus. When viewed through a telescope this week, the gas giant world shows an 18″-diameter disk surrounded by a spectacular ring system that spans 41″ and tilts 27° to our line of sight.

Sunday, May 28

Look high in the northwest after darkness falls this week and you’ll be greeted by the familiar sight of the Big Dipper. The Dipper is the sky’s most conspicuous asterism — a recognizable pattern of stars that doesn’t form a complete constellation shape. It makes up the body and tail of Ursa Major the Great Bear. Use the Pointers, the two stars at the end of the Dipper’s bowl, to find Polaris, which lies due north for everyone north of the equator. Polaris marks the end of the Little Dipper’s handle. On evenings in late May, the relatively faint stars of this dipper arc directly above Polaris.

The Witches Guide to Wednesday

Ruler: Wodin, Mercury

Colors: Orange, light blue, and gray

Power Hours: Sunrise and the 8th, 16th, and 24th hours following

Keywords: Success, creativity, communication

The word Wednesday is reminiscent of the Norse wind god Wodin, which is referenced in the popular rhyme verse “Wednesday’s child is full of woe.” This does not mean that those born on this day are full of sorrow or trouble. To be full of Woden (Wodin) means to be full of wind, to be spirited. Woden was such a powerful pagan god that the German church fathers changed the name of his day to Mittwoch, meaning midweek, in an attempt to exorcise his influence.

In the Spanish word for Wednesday, miercoles, we clearly see its connection to Mercury. Under the guidance of Mercury; Wednesday is a day of swift activity, communication, correspondence, and phone calls. This is a good day for journalists, writers, poets, bargaining, hiring employees, and visiting friends.

On Wednesdays, the hour of sunrise and every eight hours after that are also ruled by Mercury, making these times of the day doubly blessed. These are the strongest four hours for ritual work. Check your local newspaper, astrological calendar, or almanac to determine when sunrise occurs.

Meditate on Odin and see what you can discover about him. I wonder what sort of fabulous and fascinating magickal wisdom you will uncover? Odin is a shaman, after all; he may appear in many guises and faces. I guarantee that he will make you laugh at yourself before he is through with you, but you will learn. It’s up to you what you do with that knowledge. Will you let it shapeshift into wisdom?

Wednesday is the wild and wily day of the week, so try to go with the flow; don’t fight the quirky energies of the day. Most importantly, follow your heart, and always keep a good sense of humor, because of Wednesdays you will really need it.

Education and Culture Day (Bulgarian)

Waning Moon
Moon phase: Fourth Quarter
Moon Sign: Taurus
Incense: Marjoram

Color: Brown

The Magick of the Fourth Quarter Moon

Fourth Quarter: (waning half moon until the new moon) At this point of the moon phase, some folks may find that their psychic talents go on holiday, or you may notice that they come howling in with an all-out assault on your senses. The reason for this is, I believe, that during the last waning lunar phase, all psychic work turns within. This often forces a person to contemplation, and it nudges them into turning their psychic abilities and all that focus within. Then they gain the opportunity for self-discovery. Work with your divinatory tools now to gain an appreciation for what events and people have led you to this point of your life. By looking to the past, we can acquire a good overview on what has brought us to the point we are standing at now. Then we may gain understanding, wisdom and insight.

Fourth Quarter Moon Spell

Finally, here is a spell for the final phase of the moon. This is the Crone’s moon, and at this time your psychic gifts may be at their strongest. As the energy turns to a hushed, waiting mode, it doesn’t mean it’s gone, just that it is extremely focused and internal. So if you aren’t paying attention, you may not pick up on those psychic impressions. If this is a problem for you, ask the wise old Crone for her assistance. As far as magick is concerned, this is the time to deal with those more serious issues. Check out the final line of this spell and adjust as necessary for your purposes; for example, the word “protection” can be easily switched to “banishing.”

The Crone’s moon grows smaller at the passing of each eve.
For this magick to work, in myself I must believe.
Charms performed now require a wisdom most sublime
The protection spell is now cast, sealed up with a rhyme.
That orbed maiden with white fire laden whom mortals call the moon.

Magickal Applications for Wednesday

To the Romans, this day was called Dies Mercurii, or “Mercury’s day” Mercury was a popular character in the Roman pantheon. A messenger of the gods, he presided over commerce, trade, and anything that required skill or dexterity. The Celts also worshiped Mercury and eventually equated him with the Norse god Odin (some spelling variations on this name include Wotan, Wodin, and Wodan). In Norse mythologies, Odin, like Mercury, is associated with poetry and music. Interestingly enough, both Odin and Mercury were regarded as psychopomps, or the leaders of souls, in their individual mythologies.

Odin, one of the main gods in Norse mythology, was constantly seeking wisdom. He traveled the world in disguise as a one-eyed man with a long gray beard, wearing an old, beat-up hat and carrying a staff or a spear (which brings to my mind images of Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings). In the Old English language, this day of Mercury evolved into Wodnes daeg, “Woden’s day,” or Wednesday.

Wednesday carries all of the planetary and magickal energies and associations of the witty and nimble god Mercury himself. Some of these mercurial traits included good communication skills, cleverness, intelligence, creativity, business sense, writing, artistic talent, trickiness, and thievery. And don’t forget all of those wise and enigmatic qualities associated with the Norse god Odin/Wodin, not to mention the goddess Athena’s contributions of music, the arts, handmade crafts, and writing. Wednesdays afford excellent opportunities for seeking wisdom, changing your circumstances, and improving your skills, be they in trade and commerce, music and art, or in communication and writing.

Wednesday & The Perfect Corresponding Spell

Clearing the Air with Lace Agates

Here is a Wednesday-night ritual that will help clear the air after a nasty argument. This crystal magick will help to remove any family discord in the home. This is also excellent witchery to work if you think that things feel “off” or if you believe that the psychic energy in your home needs a good clearing out.

It happens to all of us-you think you have things all on track energy-wise and then you start to notice that things feel sour or that there are bad vibes lingering. Maybe you had a visitor who dumped their psychic garbage in your living room, or perhaps you had a coven meeting and all that energy is still boiling around in the house, making things feel frantic. Or maybe someone in the family just got over the flu, or the kids have just been wild and crazy lately. . .whatever the cause, let’s clean house!

You can easily and quickly tap into Mercury’s planetary magick of the day. Be clever and canny, like our featured gods Hermes/Mercury, and use some of that sense of speed and movement to send any negativity and lingering bad vibes on their way. Bear in mind that the planet Mercury has a mutable energy-it is always in motion and constantly changing, which is perfect for this type of witchery.

As you look over this ritual, you may realize that while you are working crystal magick, which is associated with the element of earth, you are also tapping into some water energy as well (the color blue from the candle and the blue lace agates). If you recall, this particular type of agate is connected to the element of water. Their cleansing ing energy is very complementary for this spell. In addition, you will be working with the element of air, because this is the elemental correspondence of both Hermes/Mercury the god and Mercury the planet. Finally, just to keep things nice and balanced, you’ve got yourself a dash of fire energy, too, from the candle flame.

Pretty clever, eh? What you thought was primarily crystal spellwork ends up being a much more advanced and involved witchery. Try it for yourself, and see the difference that it makes when you work magick in balance with all four of the natural elements.

• i blue votive candle
• I votive cup
• 4 blue lace agates
• A picture of your home and/or your family and pets (whoever lives in the house)
• Lighter or matches
• A safe, flat surface on which to set up the spell

Place the blue votive in the votive cup. Set the photos of your home and family on either side of the candle holder. Next, arrange the four blue lace agates in a small circle around the candle holder. As you place the tumbled stones one by one, say these lines:

Blue lace agates, lend me your power
Cleanse this home in this time and hour
Around this candle I create a ring
These four blue lace agates are just the thing.

Now light the spell candle and hold your hands out and over the stones and candle. (Not too close, we don’t want you scorching your witchy fingers.) Finish the spell by saying the following verse:

I now call the four elements on this Wednesday night
On the wings of Mercury, I quickly set things to right
By blue lace agates and candle flame, this spell is begun
Now remove all negativity, and let it harm none.

Allow the votive to burn until it goes out on its own. (Most votives take four to six hours to burn completely out.) When the spell candle is consumed, take the four blue lace agates and place one in each of the four main corners of your home. This will keep the spell moving along quickly, and it will reenforce the cleansing. Clean up the rest of your spellwork supplies, and put up the pictures of your family in a prominent place so you can enjoy them.

Let’s Talk Witch: So What Actually is a Witch?

What is a Witch? A witch is any person who practices magick. Witchcraft is considered a practice, craft or even an art form. It’s important to note that not all witches are Wiccan. A witch can be a person of any faith who practices magick. Learning about magick and witchcraft might be why you’re reading this book; to learn about witchcraft, magick, and Wicca. First, you’ll need a brief history of witchcraft.
Those with knowledge have been either highly regarded or feared. Those who had knowledge that was dangerous to those in power have been labeled all sorts of things to instill fear in the populace to ensure their disposal. This had been the case for most of our past.
You may have learned about the Witch trials in Salem. This was one such case of those in power using their authority to label a boogie man. As was the inquisitions burning of Witches in Europe. The Church needed to blame a boogie man for the plague. Witches haven’t always been viewed as negative. In certain cultures, those who practice magick have been highly regarded. Such as in ancient Egyptian and Viking cultures.
Even your local pharmacist or doctor would have been considered a witch 1,000 years ago for the knowledge they possess. The knowledge of the healing properties of herbs was the norm for witches or the local village wise person.

The Mothers or Three Marys

This French holy day celebrates the cult of the Goddess as a triad of mothers at Aries, in Provence. Also referred to as “The Three Marys of Provence” or “Three Marys of the Sea,” this ancient festival acknowledges the three phases of woman-hood as a triad, from birth, through life, to death. It was common for husbands to give flowers and candy to their daughters, wives, and mothers at this time.

The Witches Current Moon Phase for May 24th is Waning Crescent

Waning Crescent
Illumination: 3%

The Moon today is in a Waning Crescent phase. In this phase the Moon’s illumination is growing smaller each day until the New Moon. During this phase the Moon is getting closer to the Sun as viewed from Earth and the night side of the Moon is facing the Earth with only a small edge of the Moon being illuminated. This phase is best viewed an hour or 2 before the sunrise and can be quite beautiful if you’re willing to get up early. It can also be a great time to see the features of the Moon’s surface. Along the edge where the illuminated portion meets the dark side, the craters and mountains cast long shadows making them easier to observe with a telescope or binoculars.

Phase Details for – Wednesday, May 24, 2017

Our Thoughts & Prayers Are With Those in Manchester

Lost Loved One

We can shed tears over the loss of our loved ones
or we can smile because they lived even though time with us seemed so short.

We can close our eyes and pray they will come back
unfortunately with our all prayers we know deep in our hearts
that can never happen.

Our hearts are empty and ache for just one more glimpse,
one more moment, one more second with our loved ones
that have been taken so suddenly from us.

Each of us experience loss and grief sometime during our life
we each experience differently
Whether for a parent who has lost a child or
For a child who has lost a mother or father

When it is all said and done we have their memories
in our hearts and our minds and we must cherish those
memories for as long as we have them,
in our hearts & our memories they will live on.

Almighty Goddess, bless the people of Manchester
during this trying time of sorrow, grief, loss, and confusion.
Open Your loving arms and embrace those who have passed on
Bless those they left behind
Help them through this difficult time.

Even though their hearts are broken
Let them remember Your promise to us all,
One day, we shall meet again.

Until that day, keep a loving watch over them
When times are at there worse
remind them of what their loved ones
would want them to do

Continue to life, continue to love but
never, ever forget
These three things will be the greatest
memorial to their loved one’s lost life.

Grant them peace, comfort and healing, Almighty Mother.
In your divine name, we pray.

So Mote It Be

—Lady of the Abyss
