If you were thinking this might be a cream-puff kind of day where it would be easy to be successful around the horn, think again. Four potentially difficult sky patterns are scattered throughout the day while a 4+ hour void lunar cycle can behave as an added prankster. Giving you fits are the annual Sun-Chiron opposition (12:25AM PDT), Venus making an abrasive, 135-degree link to Chiron (2:38AM PDT), the Sun mixing it up with radical-change agent Uranus via an off-kilter, 150-degree tie (8:58AM PDT) while the Moon in Aquarius is void from 10:49AM PDT to 3:32PM PDT, and Mercury forms a potentially volatile contra-parallel with the red planet Mars (9:06PM PDT). Three of the four aspects sound fairly discordant — although you may be able to tweak the Sun-Chiron polarity into providing you with waves of healing sustenance just when it is needed. The shift of the Moon from being void in Aquarius to entering the psychic waters of Pisces (3:32PM PDT) reminds you to be more compassionate and empathic to the downtrodden and truly needy. Heart-to-heart and soul-to-soul communions can occur this evening as the Moon unites with the universal love-wisdom agent we know as Neptune (6:21PM PDT). However, addictive behavior can lead you on a cosmic detour. Thus, be a clear thinker and lift up your consciousness in preparation for tomorrow’s powerful Full Moon experience.
New Moon Report for August 29: North Node In Scorpio
New Moon Report

North Node in Scorpio
Wednesday, August 29
The North Node in Scorpio points toward emotional accountability. The Fixed Water sign measures the exchange rate of relationships: what we get for what we give. Scorpio pays attention and keeps score but it deepens connections, and makes new combinations that transform us in the process. The South Node now entering Taurus is self-indulgent. When contentment is the only goal we grow numb to the needs of others. Desire is the common theme of these signs. Scorpio dives deeper because it wants more. Its hunger to feel pushes us to emotional extremes that may be embarrassing. Yet embracing a wider spectrum of feeling will help us learn more than living passively like contented cows.
Daily Cosmic Calendar for August 29
You may start registering that uncomfortable feeling again that the universe is ready to explode with a torrent of discordant alignments. In many ways, this is true since the Moon parallels Mars (3:56AM PDT), Venus makes a dicey contra-parallel to secretive Pluto (4:52AM PDT) while Mercury squares off with usually gentle Juno (6:56PM PDT). Thus, the emotional nature of humanity is riled up like a hornet’s nest for the time-being. Fortunately, some pleasant and exuberant aspects are present to neutralize the above scenario. On the positive front, you may be able to count on the glowing richness in a Moon-Jupiter trine in air signs (11:45AM PDT), the Sun making a trine to distant Pluto (5:23PM PDT), Mercury making a supportive, 60-degree rapport with time-keeper Saturn (6:26PM PDT) while Mercury also forms an inspirational, 72-degree contact with Jupiter (10:41PM PDT). Thus, there appears to be more than enough in the way of harmonious alignments to offset the negative vibes stemming from the Moon with Mars, Venus in league with Pluto, and Mercury on the skids with Juno. Since it is 48 hours before the next Full Moon (happening this Friday), it is a good time to prepare for the enlightening vibrations about to be released in the near future from the monthly crescendo formed by the solar and lunar orbs.

today. The planet whose namesake is the quick-witted Roman messenger God will impart an intelligent, curious, and communicative flavor to the coming days, along with adaptability, sociability, and a lively contrariness that may be redoubled by Virgo’s mutable, or changeable, quadruplicity. By contrast, the element of earth is a practical, productive, and grounding influence, while a feminine (negative or passive) polarity provides receptiveness, thoughtfulness and supportive tendencies.
