It’s been tough with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn at odds with Mars. This week retrograde Mars once again squares Saturn! Oy! Furthermore, this happens just before the Full Moon in Aries. Everyone will go ballistic! (Is this an exaggeration? Yes, I need the attention.) But there is some truth here. Ponder this. The best way to live this week is to be on your best behaviour and avoid saying or doing something you might regret. Consider the wisdom of Montaigne: “My life has been full of terrible misfortunes most of which never happened.” And there’s always the Kingsman Cure: “Martini. Gin. Not vodka. Obviously. Stirred for 10 seconds while glancing at an unopened bottle of vermouth.”

Aries (March 21-April 19)

I won’t sugarcoat it. You’ve had easier weeks. You will definitely feel the tension leading up to the Full Moon in your sign on Thursday. In part, because at the beginning of the week, your ruler Mars is square Saturn. Your wisest course of action is to proceed slowly and cautiously this week. Be thorough in everything you do. No haste! Don’t be discouraged if authority figures say bad things about you that seem to encapsulate the worst suspicions you have about yourself. (Aagghh!) The harmony that you wish you could have with your spouse or partner seems elusive! But this is the challenge of the Full Moon in your sign. Be quiet. Resist the urge to shout someone down. Be smart.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Some of the frustrations that you will experience this week could be related to your job or any work that you are doing. You might privately, silently, feel at odds with the prevailing sentiments in society, the news or social media. You might also feel oppressed. (Join the club.) Meanwhile, you want to get along with coworkers and others in your life who might be related to your health or even a pet. And yet, there is tension dealing with these people. Go figure. Silence and tolerance will be your friends. Just let all this hullabaloo blow over. Don’t get involved. Instead get some good food and drink. (You know the drill.)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Something to do with your friendships or your relationship with a member of a group might be a bit gruelling or challenging this week. You might find yourself at odds with someone, especially with regards how to spend a specific amount of money or deal with shared property or decide who is responsible for what. Whatever happens might discourage you! (Champagne is a marvellous lift.) In addition, the Full Moon will also put you at odds with your kids or a romantic partner because you simply cannot keep everyone happy. Let fun times and good music soothe the savage beast. No matter what you are dealing with, remember how to relax and be happy. It’s not impossible to do. And so easy to forget!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Mars is at the top of your chart and Saturn is opposite your sign. This is a tough combo! It can create fear, anger and discouragement. You feel that whatever you’re trying to do is blocked by others, especially the government, bosses or the police. This week even partners and close friends might feel not supportive. Meanwhile the Full Moon will stir up situations at home or within the family. The peace that you want and the togetherness that you hope to achieve with loved ones has gone out the window! However, don’t be alarmed because these challenges are temporary. They really are. And Venus is in a lovely part of your chart helping you to be diplomatic and charming with others. You might feel better if you cook something delicious for everyone – or maybe just you.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Pay attention to everything you say and do because this is an accident-prone week. Your efforts to travel or deal with publishing, the media, medicine or the law will meet with problems. People will not cooperate. (From your point of view.) Things might be ambiguous. You might feel frustrated or blocked by whatever is happening. On top of that, the Full Moon can create arguments with daily contacts, siblings and relatives. This can be wearisome. Keep in mind that in the bigger picture, you will improve your health this year and your job. Glory hallelujah! Remember this.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Money squabbles might be the underlying theme of this week. (Or not.) Your efforts to reach an agreement about inheritances, shared property, taxes, debt or insurance issues will be frustrated by others. They might not agree or they might pull in the letter of the law or some kind of authority to block you. Grrr. The Full Moon on Thursday might bring this to a head. Now you see clearly who doesn’t want to play ball and who wants to do things differently from you. This doesn’t mean someone else is right and you are wrong or vice versa. But it does mean you disagree. Naturally, you are logical and analytical, which doesn’t always fit with someone who has an emotional investment in something.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This week can be stressful dealing with partners and close friends. Whatever you try to achieve, especially at home, will meet with opposition. “Why do you want to do that?” It’s difficult to explain why you want things a certain way at home because others are not as affected by their environment the way you are. Keep plodding slowly and carefully every day inching your way toward achieving your objective. Don’t make a big deal about anything. Work quietly and carefully. Naturally, you are going to feel the tension of this week’s Full Moon because it is the only Full Moon that is opposite your sign all year! Remember: A closed mouth gathers no feet.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You might encounter difficulties with coworkers or someone related to whatever you’re doing. Something might happen that triggers fear or self-doubt within you. You might question what you’re doing. (Especially if people in power are opposing you or telling you otherwise.) You have to keep your wits about you but proceed slowly with care. Ideally, you want to keep to yourself so that you can maintain your peace of mind; but this Full Moon might trigger tension and conflict with others! Be patient. Don’t take the bait. You don’t have to respond or overpower anyone. Decide to sit this one out and watch from the sidelines. “A food fight!”

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Sagittarian parents might face control issues with their kids. The kids might feel you’re too bossy. You might feel that they’re not listening. Could be a little of both. Romantic partners might also make difficult demands. Added to this is the tension of the Full Moon, which peaks on Thursday but begins on Tuesday. The warm friendship and success that you want dealing with groups seems to be overpowered by the demands of others. You feel like you can’t win! But this is not true. Venus is at the top of your chart making you look great to bosses and VIPs. Stay calm and look like you know what you’re doing. Fake it till you make it. (Nothing succeeds like the appearance of success.)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Difficulties with a family member or a situation at home are here. Whatever you want to do – is blocked by circumstances or someone in particular, perhaps an older family member? You might also feel diminished or criticized by someone. Do not take this to heart because this is just a fleeting planetary challenge that ignites your sense of fear or fear of inadequacy. (We all have this!) Don’t waste time defending yourself or your ideas. Keep calm. This Full Moon makes you feel pulled between what you want to do versus your responsibilities at home. Remember your long-term objective. (This is a Butch Cassidy moment: “Who are those guys?”)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is an accident-prone week. An accident doesn’t have to happen, but it could if you are distracted by anger, anxiety or self-doubt. A squabble with a daily contact, sibling or relative might occur. Others don’t agree with you or they dismiss what you say. Do not react with frustration. And don’t believe the worst about you. The Full Moon this week triggers arguments with others about politics, religion and racial issues, but you don’t need this. Yes, you want to make the world a better place but do it when you are confident. This week is not the time. “These are not the droids you’re looking for.”

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Financial arguments and challenges might take place this week for your sign. This could relate to your earnings, or lack of earnings. This could relate to something that you own. It could also relate to your choice of how you want to spend your money. This is not the week to ask for a raise or squabble about money in any way. Definitely. It’s a poor week to argue with creditors or stores about a purchase or anything to do with shared property, inheritances and insurance issues. Too many power struggles – too many difficulties!
