MAY 8 Moon Goddess’ Current Phase

The Moon will be in a Waning Gibbous Phase. This is the first phase after the Full Moon occurs. It lasts roughly 7 days with the Moon’s illumination growing smaller each day until the Moon becomes a Last Quarter Moon with an illumination of 50%. The average Moon rise for this phase is between 9am and Midnight, depending on the age of the phase. The moon rises later and later each night setting after sunrise in the morning. During this phase, the Moon can also be seen in the early morning daylight hours on the western horizon.

How to See the Last Supermoon of 2020

Even if you’re stuck indoors during the pandemic, you can still catch May’s full moon, the last supermoon of 2020, which will appear full from Tuesday evening through Friday morning (May 5-8).

Technically, the full moon, which will be in the constellation Libra, will last only a moment. That will happen at 6:45 a.m. EDT (1145 GMT) on Thursday, May 7, when the side of the moon that faces Earth is fully illuminated by the sun, according to NASA. Skywatchers may also notice the “evening star” planet Venus, which was shining at its brightest of the year just last week, according to Space.com, a Live Science sister site.

May’s full moon is also known as the flower moon, a fitting moniker given that wildflowers and gardens are blooming all over the Northern Hemisphere. Other names for May’s full moon include the corn planting moon, milk moon and Vesak festival moon, which commemorates the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha, according to Encyclopedia Britannica.

May 7 Moon Goddess’ Current Phase

Today the Moon will be in a Full Moon phase. During a Full Moon the moon is 100% illuminated as seen from Earth and is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun. The Moon will be visible throughout the night sky rising at sunset in the east and setting with the sunrise the next morning. The point at which a Full Moon occurs can be measured down to a fraction of a second. The time it takes between full moons is known as a Synodic month and is 29.530587981 days long.

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 7) Saturday – Third Eye

Today’s focus is intuition verses fantasy: what is true verses what we want to be true. Intuition can be firm and, at times, quite loud, but it’s never panicked or rushed, even when change is long past due. Fantasy, however sweeps in with grand visions that have an urgency borne from the belief that this idea is the ticket. — the diet, the career change, the whatever that will finally create desired change.Fantasy is often package with fear of missing out if we don’t jump on its advice, so today, get curious about your inner dialogue and feelings. If you’re moved to pursue a course of action, what feelings and thoughts arise if you consider not doing it? When we ignore our intuition, we might feel a heaviness or dullness, as if some of the life has been drained from us, whereas thwarting our fantasies can trigger anxiety and the pressure to charge forward, no matter the cost.

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 5) Thursday – Heart

Thursday: Heart

Today’s focus is abundance not hording. The heart is the great connector between the chakras as the midpoint of those seven energy centers between us and all of life. When chakras are healthy, the heart has the support of the entire system, enjoying, for example the safety of the root and the vulnerability of the navel, which allow the heart to remain open and connected. This connection helps us perceive opportunities and support, and this generates trust that we will have enough without hording. Today, get curious about areas of anxiety and worry, areas where you feel you have to hold on to or prevent change for fear of loss. Can you sit with your uncomfortable feelings while simultaneously tapping into self-love? Shower yourself with green or pink light and bathe your worries in love. Does the addition of heart energy give you a glimpse of previously hidden options or ideas, and if so, can you take the next sense towards them?

April 30 Moon Goddess’ Current Phase

Today the Moon will be in a Waxing Crescent Phase. A Waxing Crescent is the first Phase after the New Moon and is a great time to see the features of the moon’s surface. During this phase the Moon can be seen in the western sky after the sun dips below the horizon at sunset. The moon is close to the sun in the sky and mostly dark except for the right edge of the moon which becomes brighter as the days get closer to the next phase which is a First Quarter with a 50% illumination.

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 3) Tuesday – Navel

TUESDAY : NAVEL

Today’s focus is vulnerability versus naivete’. Vulnerability is often viewed as a weakness, but in truth it’s a superpower founded in trusting that our authentic expression is valuable and necessary. Vulnerability asks us to reveal who we really are, not a pared-down personality’s that act of giving ourselves permission to be ourselves. When we try to be what we are not, we lose touch with those gut feelings that steer us away from needlessly harmful situations. The naval helps discern between exposing the true self to enable authentic expression and intimacy versus sticking our head in the sand and exposing ourselves to danger. Get curious about areas where you’re pressuring yourself to adopt a persona, people please, or otherwise keep your true nature under wraps as well as areas where you might be overriding alarm bells — are there connections between the 2?

Ritual for Seeing Where You and Loved Ones Will be After COVID-19 is D0ne

I got the idea for this ritual from Gregg Braden on his show “Missing Links,, Season 1 Episode 7.” He tells a story of a Native American asking him to go with him to “pray for rain”, they live in northern New Mexico where there has not been any rain in quite some time. When they reach his friend’s Medicine Wheel his friend steps inside of it for a few minutes and then comes out asking if Mr. Braden is ready to go to lunch. Mt. Braden is a little confused and asks his friend “David”, “I thought we were coming here to pray for rain.” To which “David” replies, “I was taught to see things are they would be when the rain fell. I could feel the mud squish between my toes coming out of my pleubo, to smell the cleaner air, to see things turning green and the crops in the fields growing. If we pray for something that is happening right now we get nothing but if we can see and ask for what it will be like after it rains than the rains will come.”

We are living in very uncertain times for all parts of our lives except the spiritual one. This is a time when we need to step up and use our spirituality and magickal abilities to help ourselves and others.  The intention for the ritual in this Esbat gathering is to ask for healing mind, body, and spirit for everyone including yourselves anywhere upon Mother Earth and for Mother Earth Herself. Please try to keep your mind focused not on what is happening now but how we see things at the end of this COVID-19 virus. Yes, some things are hard to picture on a grand scale so keep it simple and see how you, your loved, and friends came through this virus strong and healthy. See you and/or your loved ones, and/or friends back to work. See all of you gathered together having a party of some kind to celebrate – remember in this age of being able to connect with people anywhere in the whole you could even do a Skype conference call party (Skype allows 50 people to be connected to each other at the same time).

So, for a little while at least set your worries and stress aside and join us in this Esbat celebration of how each of our personal lives will be at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. The song I picked May The Circle Be Open is to remind us we may not be in a circle together all the time but there are ties that still bind us together so we are never truly all alone. We are going to do a healing drumming circle than at the end we will meditate for 2 minutes. Then anyone that wants to will have a chance to share their fears or stresses or where they see themselves and family at the end of the pandemic. There will possibly be a time limit set for each person sharing time depending on how many people join us in this gathering.

What You Need:

1 large white candle (that you can burn for 1 hour every day for 1 week. If you feel you want to keep lighting the candle after the first week then that is what you should do just make sure your candle is large enough for the duration you want to keep lighting it.)

Correct size holder for your candle

Your favorite Essential Oil for dressing the candle after engraving it

A device you can listen to the song (watch the video if you want to)

Something sharp to engrave you candle (a knife, your Atheme, a toothpick or a pin of some kind)

Fireproof Container to put the burning paper in

Lighter or Matches

RITUAL:

I call to Archangel Raphael to reside in the Watchtower of the East to help protect those in this circle and when we leave it from any type of negativity.

I call to Archangel Michael to reside in the Watchtower of the South to help protect those in this circle and when we leave it from any type of negativity.

I call to Archangel Gabriel to reside in the Watchtower of the West to help protect those in this circle and when we leave it from any type of negativity.

I call to Archangel Uriel to reside in the Watchtower of the North to help protect those in this circle and when we leave it from any type of negativity.

I invoke Goddess Sirona (1 of the healing Goddess of the Celts) and God the Dagda (Celtic God of fertility, agriculture, life, and death.) to walk this circle with me three times three. To take us to a place that is not a place and an out of time as we know it. I bid you reside in our circle to help give strength and power to our work here.

Please click on this link to start the song setting your intention(s) of where you and those you care about will be feeling and doing after the COVID-19 pandemic has passed while listening to the song.

Healing Chant

Now take approximately 5 minutes to write your intention(s) down on the piece of paper – How and Where you see yourself and those you care about feeling and doing once the danger of the virus is gone.

Next, inscribe the names or initials of the people on the paper you are doing this ritual for. When you are done with that take a small drop as needed of your favorite essential oil start at the bottom of the candle in one motion smear the oil to the top of the candle. Turn the candle clockwise and again apply the essential oil, repeat these steps until you come to where you put your first line of essential oil overlap the first and last applications.

Now light your candle. Burn the paper with the candle while visualizing how everyone included on the candle lives will be at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic in whatever country or state you all live in. Repeat this spell/prayer three times while the paper is burning: (If you feel a word or some words need to be changed to fit how you would say this spell or prayer you can do that as this is your plea and thanksgiving to your deity)

Sirona we ask for the health for those we have written here is strong and unaffected by COVID_19. Sirona we thank you that none we asked you to watch over became sick

the Dagda we ask that you keep us working from home or where we are employed or go to school. the Dagda we thank you for taking us through this time with being employed and/or in school that none of us lost anything we needed for home and hearth.

I see those on my candle as still being healthy, employed, and now able to go on with our daily lives. As we mourn with those far and wide who lost someone to this pandemic.

So Mote It Be (OR However you end your spell or prayer

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 1) Introduction

The seven major chakras are vital pieces of your energetic puzzle, and what better way to boost their health than by devoting and entire day of the week to each one? Start each day with the following mediation, plugging in details from the individual chakra sections below [Each Chakra will have its own post].

Sit in a comfortable position and bring awareness to the area of the chakra, noticing any sensations. Does it feel open, heavy, jumpy? IS it east or difficult to connect with this area?Imagine the color of the chakra filling this area, and say three times, “I heal and balance my (name of chakra).” Ponder the qualities for the day, and take a few minutes contemplating how they appear in your life. Be open to thoughts, feelings, image, and other clues, and when you’re done, briefly journal your insights. Continue checking in through out the day.

The colors, crystals, and foods listed here serve as reminders of the focus chakra as well as spiritual allies in their own right. For example your red bracelet might remind you of your root quality of safety during a work meeting, which differs from your root chakra experience during yoga, and comparing the two leads to an aha moment. As allies, rose quartz could trigger heart chakra insights, while a sniff of rosemary might bring to mind and important memory in relation to your solar plexus. Keep in mind that this is less about isolating definitive answers and more about letting one question lead you to the next, like spiritual breadcrumbs that take you deeper into self-awareness.
