I know you thought you got rid of me but guess what, let’s talk………
So how ya’ doing? I hope fine. I have a question and I want honest answers, please. I have been monitoring the store and the sales for it, frankly suck. The store was doing fine before I had my latest adventure and had to be off for a few weeks. I want to know did something happen during those weeks I was off. I want you to be honest with me because if something did I will do my best to make it right. Those of you who have dealt with me know that is true. Is it because an 18 year old kid is running it? Truth be told, he isn’t running it, he is helping me run it till I fully recover. When I am back to 100% I will be back to running it full time.
I have made agreements and signed contracts with various wholesalers to provide you with merchandise that is hard to find and also needed in daily rituals and spells. The design on the site has been changed for easier use. I have been told we offer some of the lowest prices on the net and I have seen this for myself. There is one wholesaler, I wouldn’t even offer to do business with because we would have to mark our prices up at least 40 to 50 percent to make a profit. That would be too high and no sales would come from that venture. I have done everything I know to do to offer a specialty store to you, our members. A place you would have to get the herbs you need, the cauldrons, the wands, the athames and the list goes on and on. Like I said sales were great now everything has hit rock bottom and I feel like there is a reason why. I want to know that reason. I want to fix any problems that might have occurred and also provide you with a super store for all your ritual needs.
I have come to the decision that if the sales in the store do not pick up by this Spring, it will be gone. I will have no choice but to close it down. I am not risking our other ventures so the store can drain every last dime from us and thus causing us to loose it all. I am a witch and a business woman. That would be very unprofessional of me to continue to put money into a dying cause. The store has a huge inventory and we have a huge inventory here. It cost money to maintain that inventory, most of it is on consignment to us. The site cost money, every time I turn around Wix’s is charging for the search engine or the shopping cart or some other ridiculous thing. I have checked other sites and they are outrageous. Wix’s is reasonable and it does allow us to make a profit. A profit that we use to support this site and our other various sites. I thought I had finally found the answer to pay for what I want to do and accomplish.
I don’t mean to bitch but I am very serious when I say I want to know what has happened since I have been gone. I have a feeling I know but I want to know for sure. As of Monday, I will take back complete control of the store. We will once again offer gifts with purchases and have monthly drawings for various merchandise. If you have any idea of any particular merchandise you would like for us to offer, please let me know. I know when I ask questions, I don’t get responses. I feel like you are scared to give me your opinion. I am not going to bite your head off, I swear. I want to hear from you. Or else I will be forced to close the store in the Spring to keep from losing everything. We have worked to hard for me to let that happen. If we do have to close the store, I guess we will have one hell of a yard sale. Seriously, talk to me, give me ideas, so we can make this work, please.
So Sunday night, I will have the hammer out busting off this cast on my arm and I will be back in total control of this site and the store. If you don’t like the new layout, let me know, we will go back to the old. If you want new merchandise, let me know, I can get it. If you don’t like some of the merchandise on there, let me know and I will get rid of it. I want the store to work, I want to make it profitable and most of all I seriously opened it for you. Hell, if I have to close the store it will be a failure and I don’t like failure. To me, failure is unacceptable especially when you have worked 24 hour days to get it up and running. Yeah, I worked many a 24 hour day, that is why I was falling asleep at the computer. I will ask one more time for you to give me your suggestions, your ideas, tell me if something when wrong while I was gone, just talk to me, please.

January has two full supermoons. The 2nd one comes on January 31. As the 2nd full moon of the month, it carries the name Blue Moon. Plus, it’ll undergo an eclipse!
A supermoon is a new or full moon closely coinciding with perigee – the moon’s closest point to Earth in its monthly orbit. An astrologer, Richard Nolle, coined the term supermoon over 30 years ago, but now many in astronomy use it as well. Supermoons have entered the popular culture (check out Sophie Hunger’s music video in this post, for example), and they can cause real physical effects, such as particularly high and low tides. According to the definition of supermoon coined by Nolle, the full moon of December was 2017’s only full supermoon. A pair of fine binocular objects are on display during evenings this week. The open star clusters M46 and M47 reside about a degree apart in the northwestern corner of the constellation Puppis the Stern. The two lie about 12° east-northeast of the sky’s brightest star, Sirius. The western cluster, M47, glows at 4th magnitude and appears as a fuzzy patch sprinkled with several pinpoint stars. Sixth-magnitude M46 shows up as a hazy collection of faint stars that is hard to resolve under most conditions. Although it contains nearly twice as many stars as M47, M46 appears fainter and fuzzier because it lies some three times farther from Earth.

The waxing gibbous Moon slides eastward through Taurus tonight. Once darkness falls across North America, you can see the lovely Hyades star cluster perched just east of Earth’s satellite. As the night wears on, the Moon moves into the V-shaped Hyades and approaches 1st-magnitude Aldebaran. (Although this star appears to belong to the cluster, it lies only half as far away.) From the northwestern United States and western Canada, the Moon passes directly in front of the star just before the pair sets.

The brightest star in the night sky puts on a nice show January evenings. Gleaming at magnitude –1.5, Sirius shines nearly four times brighter than the next brightest star visible from mid-northern latitudes: Arcturus in the constellation Boötes. Sirius rises around 5:30 p.m. local time and ascends in the southeast throughout the evening hours.
Sunday, January 28
Mars stands out in the southeastern sky before dawn this week. The magnitude 1.2 Red Planet rises before 3 a.m. local time and appears 25° high as twilight starts to paint the sky. It currently resides among the background stars of eastern Libra, some 10° east of brilliant Jupiter. Unfortunately, the view of Mars through a telescope proves disappointing — its disk spans only 5″ and shows no detail.

Good morning, my dear sweet brothers & sisters of the Craft! As you have probably guessed by now, we are off the internet today. Yesterday took a very heavy toll on all of us. I didn’t realize how heavy the toll would be till the names of the victims were released this morning. One I already knew had been killed at the school, her aunt called me. The other, a fifteen year old young man, my ex-husband worked with his father and knew him also. This area is a tight-knit community and it seems everyone is kin to everyone else or else we know each other.
The girl’s aunt called me and I know she was looking for words of comfort. I tried to console her as the best as I could. But that school shooting had opened up old wounds for me and the words became very difficult to find. She asked if I could come and spend some time with her today and I am going. Her aunt is a good friend and you don’t desert your friends in their time of need. The story for her aunt only gets sadder. A little over a year ago, her husband passed away. I comforted her and consoled her during that. She told me that I was her rock and she couldn’t have made it through her husband’s passing without me. This rock is crumbled. I know there will be questions and I don’t know if I have the answer for those questions.
The biggest question will be, why did this happen? Why was my baby girl taken from me? How do you answer those questions. These are all good people, why did it have to happen to them, that is the question that keeps going through my head. I know you have probably seen the candle light vigils on TV but the people who lost their children and those in critical condition are in a way angry at God right now. I can understand that completely. If I was in their shoes, I would be angry at the world.
Most of the times the words come easily for me but not today. I dread going to the aunt’s house. I dread going to the prayer vigil. I dread the moments the aunt will turn to me for comfort. The only words I can think of is that there is pure evil in this world. The Divine creates us in Her own image and gives us freewill. Freewill is one of the greatest gifts she gives us. But there are those among us that cannot handle freewill. How some people use that freewill is different from others. I don’t know if they are born with an evil seed or something in their environment pushing them towards evil. But when that evil is released no good can come from it. When the evil is released, killing like we saw yesterday occur. We must mourn the lost of our loved ones and then we have to stand strong against that evil. For that is the truest test, standing strong when the world seems it has taken everything from you. If you don’t, the madman who took your loved one wins. You have to stand strong so that doesn’t happen, you mourn, you miss them but you must go on with life as they would have wanted you too. You have to live your life in their memory and their honor.
The pain will be unbearable at times and I don’t lie, I have lost too many. But it does ease some. You have good days and you will have bad days. On those bad days, imagine your loved one, how they loved you and they wouldn’t want you to be upset and crying over their loss. I believe the answer to that question is no, they wouldn’t. Even though they were taken in such a violent way and before their time, they would want you to continue living your lives in their honor and their memory. Most of all remember, they are no longer on this plane but they are now in a much better place. A place were there is no pain, no suffering, just love. Love of the purest form. We all have the promise of one day we will be reunited with the ones we have lost. Think of that day, live for that day. When you are at your lowest, call their name. They will come and you will feel their presence. Their love for you will last an eternity and as long as you keep them in your hearts, they will always be with you.
You never know what to say, sometimes words are not needed, just being there is enough. I am sincerely hoping that is the case today. I would ask that you say a prayer for the Holt family and the Cope family as they go through this very difficult time. Pray that the Divine gives them comfort and strength. Pray for those at Vanderbilt Hospital, that they will make a speedy recovery. Pray for all those who had to witness the horror of yesterday. No one should ever have to witness a thing such as those young people had too. Help them deal with every emotion they are feeling. Pray for us all in the days ahead. Pray that I can find the words to comfort a grieving family.
Remember my dear, sweet family, hug your children and your loved ones tight and long every day. For in these days and times we ever know.

Up-date on Marshall County Ky School Shooting
Ever since we heard about the shooting at the Marshall County High School in Kentucky, we haven’t done anything except to try to find out more information. Finally, the Law Enforcement Agencies and the Governor gave a press conference about 20 minutes ago. The shooting was much worse than what the local News station was releasing or known. There were two 15 year old students killed, one was a girl who passed at the scene. The other was a 15 year old boy who passed away at the hospital. The shooter wounded 14 others, who are now being treated for gunshot wounds. Two of those have been air-lifted out. There are 5 others being treated for non-gunshot wounds. The shooter is in custody and is going to be charged with murder and attempted murder. I believe if an animal can kill young teen-agers with no regard for their life, then he should be charged as an adult and face the death penalty.
You now know why we are not on the internet today. This is a very horrible and horrific day for everyone in this area. It is especially hard on those who lived through the Heath High School shooting twenty years ago. Most of the ladies here lived through that shooting. It brought back some very painful memories. You never imagine such a tragedy happening but to happen twice to the same community is unbearable and unthinkable.
Lady A asked you earlier to pray for us all. I repeat her request, pray for Western Kentucky at this darkest of darkest times. Remember us in your prayers today. Remember those two young people who needless lost their lives today. Remember those wounded and pray they not only make a quick recovery but with time their emotional scars heal. Pray for the families, the friends and all who suffer this day.

Today Is Going to Be a Difficult Day, We Just Received News That There Has Been A School Shooting At One of Our Local High Schools.
Good morning, my precious family. We received news a few minutes ago that there had been a local school shooting. It is a school that is not to far from here, it is in Marshall County. The shooting took place at the High School there, we have no details. There is suppose to be a news crew on the way there now. Not knowing is the worse thing in your life. I have grandchildren that go to that school district except they are in Elementary School, Thank the Goddess.
The Governor just tweeted that the shooter is in custody, one fatality and seven injured. Helicopters have been seen air-lifting individuals and there are numerous ambulances there. No official numbers yet but it doesn’t sound good. Those poor, poor parents, my heart truly breaks for them. Sending their children off to school and then something like this happens. What has happened to our world? What? It is unreal the total disregard for human life. Kids killing kids.
The first school shooting in the States occurred down the road from us. Heath High School, remember it. I do, my kids were in high school at the time. The news broke with just “a shooting at a local high school.” The first thing I started doing was putting my clothes on and trying to get out of the door as quick as possible with tears running down my face. Before I could get out the door, the news came back on and told us it was Heath High School where the shooting had occurred. Michael Carneal walked into the main lobby, took out several guns and shot up a morning prayer group. He killed three, wounded I don’t know how many. I do know one of them recovered but she is in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. Her aunt and I were good friends at the time. The neighbor across the road had just transferred her children to the county high school because the one in town was too rough. The one in town, that my kids went too, got smart. They had armored guards, metals detectors, a lock-down system for visitors to the school, everything you could imagine but yet everyone thought it was a horrible school. Heath was suppose to be the finest High School in the area at the time.
Marshall County is considered one of the finest high schools in the area. The shooting brought back a lot of bad memories for me. The minute I heard it, I couldn’t tell the others without crying. It absolutely breaks my heart to think of someone killing our children, especially another child. What has went so wrong? I know I always look for a reason or someone to blame. Could it be the parents fault? The Carneal boy’s family was up-standing members in the community. His daddy was a lawyer. The shooter this morning, we know nothing about yet. But I wonder if something just snaps in a person’s mind to make them want to kill another person. I don’t understand it. I don’t want to understand the mind of a killer. To me, taking a life is the worse possible thing that could ever happen. Maybe the kids don’t understand, killing someone is final. People blame the video games, do the kids think the people they shoot are going to get up and walk away like they do in the games.
I prayed to the Goddess yesterday for help in understanding some of my confusion. I pray to the Goddess now for the soul that was lost this morning and those that were injured. I have no compassion or empathy for the individual who shot them.
I would ask one thing of you, my dear brothers & sisters, please pray for all of us in Western Kentucky this morning. Remember those who were injured, remember the one who lost their life and most of all remember their parents. What a horror it is for a parent to have to bury their child. No parent should ever have to go through that. Please, dear family, pray for all of us this morning.

A Very Blessed & Beautiful Monday Morn’ To All My Dear Sweet Brothers & Sisters of the Craft!
Good Monday morning, my precious family! How y’all doing this morning? I hope super. Ready to get another week started? I don’t know so much about week but I am definitely ready to get this day started. I get to go this morning and get the stitches out of my finger (so I can pop a proper bird, lol!). I know I spent yesterday wheeling away from Eleanor as fast as I could. She had some surgical scissors, whatever you call them, chasing me around the office with them. To top it all off her exact words were, “Come here, my pretty. I’ll take care of you and your pretty little stitches!” Sound familiar? I believe at times she has watched the Wizard of Oz one to many times. She finally stopped when I screamed and pretended to hurt that finger. Then we went from, “come here, my pretty,” to “ah, let me kiss it and make it better.” Yeah right, she still had the damn scissors behind her back. Oh, I tell what fun we have around here. Truthfully the place is like the insane asylum and the inmates are running the joint.
I was sitting here looking at the window and thinking what a difference a week makes. Last week, it was minus 1, a foot of snow on the ground and we were stuck in a snow bank. Today it is 65 degrees, believe it or not, and raining buckets. The cabin had ponds all around it. The house Lynette rented has one huge lake in the back. I looked at it yesterday and it was still in its banks. This morning, that ain’t the case and it is coming up in the backyard rather quickly. No telling by the time we get back home tonight we might need a canoe to get us there. It just seems like this year, the weather has been unreal to say the least. One day it is below freezing, the next it is in the 60’s. Hmm, and no one believes in climate change? Up in the mountains, they say the weather rotates in cycles. I can’t remember if it is every 10 years or 15, that the weather does a complete turn around. I know I talked to a witch from up there and she did mention it was time for a cycle change. She just sort of, kind of, forgot to mention if that was a 10 or 15 year cycle. I grew up learning about the wooly worms and what side the moss grew on trees. I later found out the wooly worms were suppose to be poisonous and the moss, well the moss is going to grow wherever it wants. Besides moss growing on the north side of a tree never made much sense to me to start with. You would think it would want to grow where it got the most light. Oh, well you got your morning Outdoor 101 class anyway, lol!
Well everybody has finally arrived and they are hauling me off (to the doctor or the funny farm, that is the question). I know the doctor is taking the stitches out and planning on doing another X-ray. He told us last time he would have to do a X-ray to make sure everything was still in its place and I hadn’t don’t anything I wasn’t suppose too. I love being treated like a six-year old. I hate to tell him if anything has moved, he ain’t putting another wire back in my hand. Since I have been typing, I have gained 110% more use of my fingers on that hand. Earth Sky News for January 21st: Star-hop from Orion to Planet 9
Above image of Planet 9’s path via WikipediaTonight, let the constellation Orion the Hunter show you the approximate position of the hypothetical Planet 9 in the starry sky. As of now, nobody has yet seen this hypothetical solar system planet, which, if it exists, is large and very distant. But – still, hypothetically speaking – there are reasons to believe it does exist, and so … the hunt is on.

The astronomer Scott S. Sheppard has said he guesses this planet might shine somewhere between 23rd and 25th magnitude, making this world about 6 to 40 million times fainter than the faintest celestial object visible to the unaided eye. Still, it’s fun to imagine the place in the sky where astronomers are searching for Planet 9. This is the place they think it’s most likely to be.
The sky chart at the top of this post shows that location. The chart, which is via Wikipedia, shows Planet 9‘s possible path across our sky, in front of the backdrop stars, from the years 1000 to 3000 AD.
Although this world, if it exits, is way beyond the range of our backyard telescopes, we can still star-hop from the constellation Orion to Planet 9’s possible location in the starry sky.
From around the world at this time of year, the constellation Orion climbs highest up for the night around mid-evening (9 to 10 p.m.) local time. From temperate latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere, Orion appears in the southern sky at mid-evening. From the equator, Orion appears high overhead, and from temperate regions in the Southern Hemisphere, an “upside-down” Orion shines in the northern sky.
Some of you may know how to star-hop from Orion’s Belt to Aldebaran, the brightest star in the constellation Taurus the Bull. If not, refer to the sky chart below. Once you’ve found Aldebaran, you’ve pretty much found the proposed location of Planet 9, which – again, if it exists, and if astronomers are right about its location in our solar system – lodges pretty much directly east of Orion’s Belt and directly south of the star Aldebaran.
Caltech astronomers first announced a hypothetical Planet 9 on January 20, 2016. What they called “solid theoretical evidence” exists for a giant planet – a 9th major planet in the outer solar system – moving in what they called a “bizarre, highly elongated orbit.” They nicknamed it Planet 9 then, and they said hoped other astronomers would search for it.
If it exists, the planet has a mass about 10 times that of Earth and orbits about 20 times farther from the sun on average than Neptune, which is currently the 8th major planet and which orbits the sun at an average distance of 2.8 billion miles (4.5 billion km).
The astronomers say it would take this new planet between 10,000 and 20,000 years to make just one full orbit around the sun.

Bottom line: Astronomers are searching for a hypothetical Planet 9 in the starry sky. You can use the constellation Orion to show you approximately where they’re looking.

In the 1980’s it was fashionable to be interested in the New Age. This is now a dreadful faux pas within the alternative scene, and in order to be accepted in the 1990’s metaphysical social set, one must have an interest in Witchcraft or Paganism. Of course, you don’t have to actually belong to a coven in order to be thought of as a Witch, you can bluff your way into being accepted as a fully fledged Witch simply by knowing a few terms and dressing accordingly. Also wear crystals and cheap occult paraphernalia at all times, and make sure that these are as gaudy and bizarre as possible, as this can only help your image. Wearing a pentacle around your neck is an absolutely necessary accessory – the bigger the better! Capes and cloaks are optional around town – it depends on how much of a visual impact you want to make, but either of these are also crucial apparel at any ritual or gathering that you may attend.
Rule # 2: Name Dropping is Good. Every serious student of The Craft (and I’m talking here about the term for Witchcraft, not macrame) knows the name Gerald Gardner. This man revitalised Witchcraft in the mid 1900’s with his book about the true history of The Old Religion (some have called this book pure fiction, but only those picky few who like books to be based on facts). Real Witches however, never let historical accuracy get in the way of their spiritual path, so in conversations with other witches, quote his name as often as possible (in tones of awe) and you will always be rewarded with smiles of acceptance.
Rule # 3: Past Life Name Dropping is Even Better. Tell everyone about the past life memories that have been surfacing since you began studying the Black Arts. It is especially useful to remember a past lifetime as a Witch who was killed during the Inquisition, or at least recall a lifetime as a famous occultist. My past lives have included Aleister Crowley, Cagliostro, Mandrake the Magician, and most of the cast of “Bewitched”.
Rule # 4: Behave Strangely. Never forget why it was that you wanted to become a Witch – yes, so that you have an excuse for strange behaviour. Previously labelled eccentric behaviour patterns can now be accepted by others if they have a reason to explain it, even if that reason for howling at full moons while naked is simply, “He/she is a Witch, that’s normal for them evidently.” So, don’t let your friends down, behave strangely, you can get away with it now.
Rule # 5: Watch Occult Movies. Make sure that you watch the movie “Warlock” lots of times to perfect those soft landings after over-indulging with the flying ointments (read as mead and weed).
Rule # 6: Ready Yourself for Sex, Money and Power. Wasn’t this the other reason you were drawn to Witchcraft? In the past, adepts of the occult were known to possess charismatic, lusty and powerful personas – when people find out that you are a Witch, they may automatically assume (and therefore empower you) with these same qualities. This may sound pretty good, but unfortunately in today’s world, another group of people have become even more established within the realms of kinky sex sessions and unlimited power – yes, the politicians! Beware of this elitist group of power-brokers… they don’t want any competition to their manipulative monopoly over the gullible public – hence the laws against Witchcraft and divination that have remained unchanged for centuries. So, if calling yourself a High Priest doesn’t lead you to unlimited sex, money and power – or if it does, but you then find yourself as the target of political and legal harassment – you may have to put aside your cloak and broomstick and pick up a pin-stripe suit and a back-bench in Parliament. If you can’t beat them, try bribery, then if that doesn’t work… join them!
Rule # 7: Atmosphere is Essential. Your home must reflect your Witchy nature. Incense must burn continuously. It’s important that visitors see clouds of incense smoke billowing from a spluttering censer in the corner of your dim, dank and dusty home, so dismantle the smoke detectors and start collecting strange little bottles of exotic looking ingredients (use your imagination and label them with names like powdered bat’s eyes, or dried dragon’s gonads). And if you don’t like housework, you can explain that the layer of dust that covers your floors and furniture helps to neutralise the highly charged psychic energy that results from your magical spells, thereby protecting your home and possessions from electromagnetic disintegration.
Rule # 8: Be Patronising to Christians. In social discussions don’t forget to make plenty of derogatory remarks about fundamentalist Christians, but remember to save your most biting comments for other Witches that you don’t get along with.
Rule # 9: Brag About Your Psychic Powers. Any self-respecting Witch will tell you that after their initiation to Witchcraft, their psychic powers awakened and their tarot cards (which they always carry with them) are now much easier to read (they now get something right once in a while). They will also tell you that they can now sense energy fields (in other words, they don’t bump into things as often as they used to). Follow this example and brag about the rapid development of your psychic abilities since your initiation. If asked about your initiation ceremony, simply state that you were sworn to secrecy about it, then quickly change the subject by mentioning your newly awakened ability to detect Ley-lines, but try to remember that a Ley-line is not a queue for the after-ritual orgy!
Now you know how to pass yourself off as a real Witch, so place that broomstick in a conspicuous corner (one that is not clouded by too much incense smoke); pull on those black clothes; give everyone that you meet a sinister look – and your social status will improve overnight. If you do all of this successfully, you may even find yourself with enough adoring acolytes so that you can start your own coven! Good luck and Blessed Be!

Saturn passed on the opposite side of the Sun from Earth exactly one month ago, but it already appears low in the southeast during morning twilight. From mid-northern latitudes, the ringed planet lies nearly 10° above the horizon an hour before sunrise. It shines at magnitude 0.5, which makes it the brightest point of light in this part of the sky.
Monday, January 22
Grab your binoculars or telescope and hunt down asteroid 20 Massalia this week. The 9th-magnitude minor planet lies among the background stars of eastern Taurus and climbs highest in the south around 9 p.m. local time. Start at 3rd-magnitude Zeta (ζ) Tauri, the star that marks the tip of the Bull’s southern horn. After taking a quick look at the Crab Nebula (M1) 1° to the northwest, slide 1.6° farther west to find 5th-magnitude 114 Tau. Massalia currently lies 1.1° west of this star and only 0.4° southwest of 6th-magnitude 108 Tau. The asteroid remains nearly stationary relative to this backdrop all week.

Head outside before dawn and you can’t miss Jupiter. The giant planet rises around 2 a.m. local time and climbs 30° high in the south-southeast by the time twilight commences. Jupiter shines at magnitude –1.9, which makes it the brightest point of light in the night sky, and resides among the much dimmer stars of the constellation Libra. A telescope reveals the planet’s 35″-diameter disk.
Wednesday, January 24
You can find the half-lit Moon high in the south as darkness falls, then watch as it sinks toward the western horizon throughout the evening hours. Our satellite officially reaches its First Quarter phase at 5:20 p.m. EST. The Moon spends the evening among the background stars of northern Cetus the Whale.
Thursday, January 25
A pair of fine binocular objects are on display during evenings this week. The open star clusters M46 and M47 reside about a degree apart in the northwestern corner of the constellation Puppis the Stern. The two lie about 12° east-northeast of the sky’s brightest star, Sirius. The western cluster, M47, glows at 4th magnitude and appears as a fuzzy patch sprinkled with several pinpoint stars. Sixth-magnitude M46 shows up as a hazy collection of faint stars that is hard to resolve under most conditions. Although it contains nearly twice as many stars as M47, M46 appears fainter and fuzzier because it lies some three times farther from Earth.

The waxing gibbous Moon slides eastward through Taurus tonight. Once darkness falls across North America, you can see the lovely Hyades star cluster perched just east of Earth’s satellite. As the night wears on, the Moon moves into the V-shaped Hyades and approaches 1st-magnitude Aldebaran. (Although this star appears to belong to the cluster, it lies only half as far away.) From the northwestern United States and western Canada, the Moon passes directly in front of the star just before the pair sets.

The brightest star in the night sky puts on a nice show January evenings. Gleaming at magnitude –1.5, Sirius shines nearly four times brighter than the next brightest star visible from mid-northern latitudes: Arcturus in the constellation Boötes. Sirius rises around 5:30 p.m. local time and ascends in the southeast throughout the evening hours.

Mars stands out in the southeastern sky before dawn this week. The magnitude 1.2 Red Planet rises before 3 a.m. local time and appears 25° high as twilight starts to paint the sky. It currently resides among the background stars of eastern Libra, some 10° east of brilliant Jupiter. Unfortunately, the view of Mars through a telescope proves disappointing — its disk spans only 5″ and shows no detail.

Ok, what’s up? Did everyone go into hiberation? The reason I am asking is because we kept that half priced herb sale going through the Winter because we know how hard it can be to get them. And unfortunately, they don’t seem to be moving very fast. That half price sale will run till probably April and then we will close it down. So you got plenty of time to run out of herbs, lol! I wanted to let you know that we have a shipment of Power Pendants in and they are gorgeous. They have an 18″inch (don’t quote me on this, one just briefly flew by my face) silver chain, the pendant has a silver top to it with a loop for the chain. The pendant is filled with the appropriate herbs and oils for its intended purpose. I believe there is about 12 different various magickal uses these pendants can be used for. Unfortunately, they did not have one for a broken leg, lol! But they will be going on the store this afternoon along with something else that I can’t remember what now? I blame it on the drugs. Anyway get a minute this afternoon stop by and check out the new inventory coming in by the truckloads. Now I am off to do, hmm, do what again…..
