The Witches Magick for Tuesday, August 7 – Third Eye Rite to Improve Psychic Powers

Perform this neo-Pagan ritual to improve psychic powers three days before the moon is full, and preferably when it is in either the astrological sign of Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio.

Begin by brewing a strong magical tea made from yarrow or mugwort (herbs that stimulate the psychic senses) and then light thirteen purple colored votive candles to help attract psychic influences. Drink the tea and then gaze fixedly into a magic mirror, crystal ball, or crystal pyramid as you chant thrice the following incantation:

I invoke thee, O Asariel
Archangel of Neptune
And ruler of clairvoyant powers.
I ask thee now to open my third eye
And show me the hidden light
Let me see the future.
Let me see the past.
Let me perceive the divine
Kingdoms of the unknown.
Let me understand the wisdom
Of the mighty universe.
So mote it be!

After chanting, relax, breathe slowly and concentrate on opening your Third Eye. Do not permit any negative thought to contaminate your mind. The Third Eye, an invisible chakra located in the middle of the forehead above the space between the eyebrows, is the human body’s highest source of power, supernormal sight and clairvoyant vision.

Signs You’re a Clairvoyant Psychic

Signs You’re a Clairvoyant Psychic

Ever wonder if you’re a clairvoyant psychic? Clairvoyance means “clear seeing” (or psychic seeing) and you’ve probably experienced it in some way in your life…. though you may not have recognized it for what it was.

The seeing that takes place isn’t dramatic like on TV. It’s subtle and the “visions” are usually in your mind’s eye.

Clairvoyance can be so subtle that it might even feel like you are imagining or making stuff up in your head. You don’t even have to close your eyes to have this type of “seeing”.

If you’re having an intuitive awakening, this cool ability could be one of your gifts.

If you think you’re clairvoyant, but aren’t sure, take a peek at the following list and see how many of these sound like you.

(Oh, BTW, this is the second in our series on psychic seeing. Get caught up on Part 1 here: What Every Newbie Should Know About Clairvoyance)

Signs that You’re a Clairvoyant Psychic

If clairvoyance is one of your intuitive gifts, you may:

Have mental images randomly flash “before your eyes”
Find it easy to visualize places, people, etc.
See flashes of colors, numbers, symbols or images
Sometimes seem as if a “movie” is playing in your head
Visual psychic flashes – No, you’re not going bonkers. Flashes of color and light can sometimes be your Spirit Guides or other members of your spiritual family. You might see:

Floating orbs or colored “blobs” in the air
Glowing light around people (their aura)
Shadows that seem like they are floating in the air
Glittering or flashing lights in the air
Movement or twinkling lights out of the corner of your eyes
Daydream easily – Because clairvoyance has to do with seeing, visualization is a HUGE part of it.

For example, if you’re a clairvoyant psychic, it would be easy for you to imagine sipping a Sangria while sitting on a beach in Maui, wearing Birkenstocks, and red Foster Grant sunglasses.

You can see in your mind how something should be so that it “works” right – Like when you buy a piece of furniture at Ikea and it takes the average person 10 hours to put it together because there are five thousand pieces, but you can whip that baby together in two hours… you can see how it should all fit together.

You have a great sense of direction – You’re a human GPS. Siri asks you for directions.

Complete visual-spatial tasks easily – Like completing a maze in a puzzle book or reading a map.

Drawn to jobs and hobbies that excite you visually – A clairvoyant psychic might peruse home decorating blogs on a Sunday morning or be drawn to a career as an interior designer or landscaper.

Appreciate beautiful things – Clairvoyant psychics really appreciate beauty. You may adore fine art, photography, or home decor.

Can envision/plan things in your head – You can map out a new landscaping idea in your head. You can easily envision how divine your spare room will look once the antique vanity is painted red, the old chair is reupholstered in gray velvet, and it’s all tied together with chevron gold curtains and accent pillows (I’m totally in the middle of this project – so exciting!).

Signs you’re clairvoyant

You’ve always been told that you have a vivid imagination
You had imaginary friends with detailed life stories as a child
Have vivid and/or frequent dreams
You don’t have to be able to say “yes” to all of these to be a clairvoyant psychic.

I have lots of these characteristics, but definitely not all – I can’t even figure out a GPS, never mind a map! But I know I’m clairvoyant, nonetheless 🙂

How to Improve Your Clairvoyant Psychic Abilities

Increasing your clairvoyant gifts is easier – and probably much more fun – than you thought possible!

Basically, it’s just like learning any other skill… practice and patience is what is needed. Spend time in these pursuits and relax:

Meditate
Visualizing
Open your Third Eye Chakra

The Witches Almanac for the Month of August

The Witches Almanac for the Month of August

This month begins with the Greater Sabbat of Lammas or Lammastide. Days are noticeably growing shorter, and evenings are beginning to cool down for Autumn. Celebrations began on July 31st with Lammas Eve and continue through the true astrological point of 15 degrees Leo on the 7th. The classic date of August 1st will be on a Wednesday, so expect most covens, circles and rituals to be scheduled on Friday or Saturday when more people have time off and school is out.

Grains and sheaves of wheat are used on altars to represent the solar power of the Sun manifest in the Earth, and home baked hearth loaves of real bread are a welcome offering and Sabbat cake for rituals. Corn dollies are sometimes fashioned at this time.

Lugnasadh (Irish Gaelic) celebrations of Tailltean marriages were common on this Sabbat. These marriages lasted for “a year and a day” and are the bases of modern Wiccan Year & A Day Handfasting.

Early apples are ripening, and make interesting poppets, altar decorations and festival treats. To combine the solar grain representations along with the first apple harvest, a Dutch apple pie makes a welcome addition to the table. The wheel is often used to represent this Sabbat, a tip of the hat to days when wheels were coated in tar and set ablaze rolling down a hill. This is a likely representation of the sun’s waning, but it is obviously a serious fire hazard.

Some traditions consider this the first of three harvest Sabbats. Lammas means “loaf mass” and is actually a Christianized name for the Sabbat. Even so, we enjoy baking bread on this Sabbat, and continue to do so for the next two harvest Sabbats.

Bread is often overly complicated in recipe books. Simply dissolve one packet of yeast into one cup of lukewarm water. Add ½ cup of flour (whole-wheat “white” is great) and let it sit for about 20 minutes or until it begins to bubble. Add ¼ cup of sugar or honey, ¼ cup oil, an egg, a slightly rounded teaspoon of sea salt and any optional luxury items you wish to include (½ cup unsalted sunflower seeds, millet or quinoa). Mix well and then add more flour until it begins to form a dough. Turn onto a floured surface and begin kneading in more flour until your dough feels like well chewed gum, folding it over and pushing it together.

When done, it should be only slightly sticky to the touch and be fairly smooth. Oil the ball and let it sit until it grows to twice its size. Shape into loaves or rolls and allow to raise again until the dough doesn’t bounce back when you give it a light poke. Bake at 350° Farenheit for about 40 minutes for loaves, 375° Farenheit for 25 minutes for rolls. You should hear a hollow sound when you tap the bottom of a loaf or roll. If it sounds “rubbery” add 10 more minutes for loaves and 5 minutes for rolls.

The Perseids join us this month in a favorite meteor shower display, producing many bright meteors, up to 60 per hour at its peak. It is produced by comet Swift-Tuttle, which was discovered in 1862. The shower runs from July 17 to August 24 and its peaks are noted on the calendar page for August. With the new moon on the 11th, viewing meteors will be unhindered by the moon’s light, and later the thin crescent of the waxing moon will set early in the evening, leaving a dark sky for better viewing. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Perseus, but can appear anywhere in the sky.

The Witches Guide To Tuesdays

Summer Dreams

The Witches Guide To Tuesdays

A god, goddess, or planet governs each day of the week. It is usually easy to spot the ruler of the day by its name. The word Tuesday, however, is not so easy, but if we look at the word in Spanish, Martes, we clearly see its connections to Mars.

Because Tuesday revolves around the energy of Mars, Tuesdays are good for business, mechanical things, buying and selling animals, hunting, beginning studies, gardening, sexual activities, and confrontation. This is a day for sex magick, energy, stamina, and health. As in the old saying, Tuesdays child is full of grace, is also good for success magick and defense against enemies.

Angels of Tuesday are Camael, Samael, Satael, Amabiel, Friagne, and Hyniel. When invoked, Camael takes the form of a leopard. In Druid mythology he is a god of war, which is why we see him associated with Mars. Camael is said to be a member of the “Magnificent Seven” in some circles. Camael is another “terminator” angel.

Samael walks both worlds as a magician and sorcerer. some see him as the angel of death, others as “the bright and poisonous one.” Many consider him more of a demon, and accuse him of being Satan. However, there is reference to the satans (plural) as enforcers of the law, a sort of angelic police, if you will. Supposedly, when Samael is around, dogs howl in the night. On one hand, he is the ruler of the fifth heaven and in charge of two million angels; on the other, he is the one who changed into a serpent and convinced Eve to partake of the forbidden fruit of knowledge.

Satael is an angel of air invoked in magic rites and is the presiding spirit of the planet Mars. Amabiel is another spirit of the planet Mars; however he spends his energy on issues of human sexuality. Friagne, also an angel of this day, is invoked from the east. He is a member of the fifth heaven. Hyniel also belongs to this day and is subject to the east wind.

On Tuesdays the hour of sunrise and every eight hours after that are also ruled by Mars, and that makes these times of the day doubly blessed. These four hours are the strongest ones to do ritual in. Check your local newspaper, astrological calendar, or almanac to determine your local sunrise.

Tuesday: Shake the only hand of Tyr

Summer in the Forest

Tuesday: Shake the only hand of Tyr

Tyr (referred to as Tiw, Tiu or Tew in Old English) was the god of combat. He had just one hand and the story behind it is as follows.

The prophecy of the sybil that three siblings would bring troubles to gods alarmed the pantheon and Odin (see also the section for Wednesday) decided to get rid of them. One of them was Fenrir, a huge mythological wolf. They tried to bound him, but he was too strong and tore any chain they used.

Finally they asked dwarves to make a special, untearable binding called Gleipnir. It consisted of six wondrous ingredients which do not exist any longer because the gods took them from the world for good. These were the sound of a cat’s footfall, the beard of a woman, the breath of a fish, the roots of a mountain, the sinews of a bear (meaning rather sensibilities in this case) and the spittle of a bird.

Fenrir did not believe them that they would set him free again after having tried the binding on him. Tyr had to put his arm in his mouth as the guarantee. That is why one of his arms is missing. And again, when Ragnarok begins, the wolf will free himself from Gleipnir and avenge this deception by devouring Odin.

In Romance languages, this day belongs to Mars, the Roman god of war (martes in Spanish, mardi in French).
