See what June’s Full Moon in Sagittarius means for your sign
By Rick Levine
The cosmic energy is quite powerful as the Full Moon in adventurous Sagittarius on June 9, 2017, urges us to stretch beyond our limits. We are reminded that we don’t need to settle for less, even when circumstances are difficult, because there is something more than what meets the eye. Confident Jupiter ends its retrograde period within an hour of this Full Moon, widening our horizons even further. Since Jupiter is the ruling planet of Sagittarius, this direct turn brings a powerful message of encouragement as we reactivate ideas that have been stalled for one reason or another.
Although the Sagittarius Full Moon offers an uplifting message, it’s not just about fun and games. Luna’s conjunction with taskmaster Saturn can rain on our parade of pleasure unless we’re willing to do the hard work required to achieve our goals. Meanwhile, the cosmic lovers, Venus and Mars, tempt us with the possibilities of romance and lure us into the dance of relationships. Attractive Venus in sensual Taurus is a reliable magnet for sweet experiences. Her cooperative sextile to red-hot Mars can fire up passions, but Mars in nurturing Cancer is more protective than assertive. The potential for love looms large as long as we aren’t tricked into taking any shortcuts.
Aries Horoscope (March 21 – April 19)
Although your optimistic approach to relationships makes your day brighter, you are still practical enough to meet reality head on. The Sagittarius Full Moon magnifies your 9th House of Big Ideas, but current circumstances make it tricky to hold onto your ideals. Unfortunately, life seems to be more complicated than you wish, even with a solid plan in place. Remain open to the likelihood of shifting desires. However, your heightened determination and perseverance prevents others from raining on your parade.
Taurus Horoscope (April 20 – May 20)
Oddly enough, you’re longing to experience the depth of your feelings. The Sagittarius Full Moon falls in your 8th House of Intimacy, inspiring you to seek out sensual delights without worrying about how others perceive you. Your normal discomfort with emotional intensity stems from your desire for simplicity. Sometimes the only way to recreate a less complicated existence is to resign yourself to the process and go through a phase of increased complexity. Never underestimate the power of persistence.
Gemini Horoscope May 21 – June 20)
You’re fascinated by a plethora of interests and you love to jump from one clever thought to another. But the expansive Sagittarius Full Moon illuminates your 7th House of Relationships, amplifying the emotions of those people closest to you. But you still might resist the flow of feelings or even question your desirability when it comes to intimacy. Stop looking for more data and start acting on what you already know to be true. Having a soft heart in a cruel world is courage, not weakness.
Cancer Horoscope (June 21 – July 22)
You often leave your strongest desires unspoken without even telling your secrets to those you love and trust. Unfortunately, this cautious strategy reduces the likelihood of being fully satisfied in a relationship. Much to your chagrin, your belief that people should just intuitively know what you need isn’t based on reality. The extroverted Sagittarius Full Moon lights up your 6th House of Habits, inspiring you to step out of your comfort zone. Improve your chances for emotional fulfillment by putting your feelings out in the open. A good relationship starts with good communication.
Leo Horoscope (July 23 – Aug. 22)
You are ready for a little romance, but you must meet your previous commitments first if you really want to pursue love. The Sagittarius Full Moon casts its light in your 5th House of Play, revealing your current desire to open up your heart and let someone special in. Be sure you know what you’re getting yourself into before taking things to the next level. Creating a list of all the potential risks and rewards can help you decide whether or not to move forward in the game of love. Ben Franklin wrote, “If passion drives you, let reason hold the reins.”
Virgo Horoscope (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22)
A little extra tension can push you into some very dynamic situations. You may not be as relaxed as you wish while the Sagittarius Full Moon activates your 4th House of Security, prompting you to seek the utmost clarity in professional and personal relationships. Worries about your uncertain career path could dredge up old fears and emotional insecurities. Thankfully, your negativity has less power once your concerns are seen in the light of day. Poet Ryunosuke Satoro wrote, “Let your dreams outgrow the shoes of your expectations.”
Libra Horoscope (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22)
There’s no reason to worry about what you might be missing, even if you feel like harmonious relationships are hard to find. The Sagittarius Full Moon energizes your 3rd House of Communication, empowering you to express what you want from others. However, don’t attempt to transform dark into light too fast or you could prevent the most transformational magic from coming to fruition. Channel your passions into creating a viable plan for the future. Controlled growth is naturally more sustainable than a sudden breakthrough. Moliere wrote, “The trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit.”
Scorpio Horoscope (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)
Staring down your fears could lead to questioning your basic beliefs. The truth is you can’t expect others to love you if you don’t fully love yourself. Thankfully, the inspirational Sagittarius Full Moon brightens your 2nd House of Self-Esteem, encouraging you to see yourself in a different light. You possess the undeniable power to eliminate old tapes that are playing outmoded songs. But don’t wait for a better time to dance to your music; create a new soundtrack for your life while the planets are singing along.
Sagittarius Horoscope (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)
Your emotional intensity can be too much to handle and people might tiptoe around you because they don’t want to trigger your temper. The exuberant Sagittarius Full Moon lands in your 1st House of Personality, prompting you to go as far as you can when making your point. But you’re not interested in being placated; instead, you want everyone to understand your truth. Consider this as a gentle reminder that the world does not revolve around you, and that others are entitled to their own opinions. Turn off the rhetoric and turn on your love light.
Capricorn Horoscope (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)
You may be relatively satisfied with your daily routine, but you grow less certain about your path in life when the Sagittarius Full Moon falls in your 12th House of Destiny. Give yourself permission to go through a process of self-doubt while recognizing this is just a temporary phase. Your primary job is to gain an objective perspective on your current habits so that you can begin to eliminate the ones keeping you from achieving your highest potential. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam said, “You have to dream before your dreams can come true.”
Aquarius Horoscope (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)
You can play your knowledge to your advantage by relying on your deep understanding of the power of the collective. The Sagittarius Full Moon graces your 11th House of Social Networking, motivating you to discover what the group needs to thrive. Using your innate charm helps you get what you want, but be careful about stirring up emotionally charged material. Ironically, you might not even be aware of the psychological buttons you are pushing. Don’t go looking for trouble when there isn’t any or you might just find it.
Pisces Horoscope (Feb. 19 – March 20)
You can’t decide whether you want to be in the spotlight or not. The free-spirited Sagittarius Full Moon shines in your 10th House of Status, enabling you to be comfortable on stage or in a public arena. But Luna’s opposition to the Sun in your 4th House of Home and Family encourages you to maintain a lower profile. Although you might prefer to work behind the scenes, it’s still time to claim the power that you have rightfully earned. Author S. Kelley Harrell wrote, “We don’t heal in isolation, but in community.”

The Moon today is in a Full Moon phase. During a Full Moon the moon is 100% illuminated as seen from Earth and is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun. The Moon will be visible throughout the night sky rising at sunset in the east and setting with the sunrise the next morning. The point at which a Full Moon occurs can be measured down to a fraction of a second. The time it takes between full moons is known as a Synodic month and is 29.530587981 days long.

I am the Great Mother, worshiped by all and

I am the primal female force, boundless and eternal.
I am the chaste Goddess of the moon,

Rejoice in me and know the fullness of youth.

The Full Moon is the most spectacular Moon phase when the entire face of the Moon is lit up.
At Full Moon, the entire face of the Moon is illuminated by the Sun’s rays and it can be bright enough to light up otherwise dark nights.
Technically, this primary Moon phase only lasts a moment, the instant when the Sun and the Moon are aligned on opposite sides of Earth
So the exact time for Full Moon is during the day on parts of the planet.
However, the Moon can appear to be full a day before or after while more than 98% of the Moon’s disc is illuminated.
Therefore, it can be difficult to tell the difference between a Full Moon and the last stage of a Waxing Gibbous Moon or the beginning of a Waning Gibbous Moon.
The technical term for the Full Moon alignment is syzygy of the Sun-Earth-Moon-system.
When the side of the Moon we can see from Earth is fully lit up at Full Moon, the opposite side is in darkness, and vice versa at New Moon.
The Full Moon is visible in the sky approximately from sunset to sunrise. At the precise moment of the Full Moon alignment, the Moon is only visible in the night part of Earth, with a few exceptions.
A Primary Moon Phase
Full Moon is the 3rd of the 4 primary Moon phases which occur at specific moments in time. The other 3 are New Moon, First Quarter Moon, and Third Quarter Moon.
In addition, there are 4 intermediate phases which take up the time in between the primary phases. These are called Waxing Crescent Moon, Waxing Gibbous Moon, Waning Gibbous Moon, and Waning Crescent Moon.
Elliptical Orbit
The Moon orbits Earth counterclockwise on an elliptical path, and the same side of the Moon always faces Earth. However, over time, the Moon rocks slightly from north to south and wobbles a little from east to west. This motion, known as lunar libration, makes it possible to see up to 58% of the Moon’s surface from Earth, although only 50% at a time.
Higher Tides at Full Moon
The greatest difference between high and low tide is around Full Moon and New Moon. During these Moon phases, the gravitational forces of the Moon and the Sun combine to pull the ocean’s water in the same direction. These tides are known as spring tides or king tides.
Affects the Tides
The tides on Earth are mostly generated by the Moon’s gravitational pull from one side of Earth to the other. The Moon’s gravity can cause small ebbs and flows in the continents called land tides or solid Earth tides. These are greatest during the Full and New Moons because the Sun and Moon are aligned on the same or opposite sides of Earth.
The Full Moon in Culture
The Moon has influenced human culture for millennia, and the Full Moon phase in particular. The date for Easter Sunday, for example, is determined based on the Full Moon and the vernal equinox.
The Moon has also inspired the invention of countless deities, like the Roman goddess Luna or her Norse male counterpart Máni, who gave his name to Monday. And, even today, people use ancient Full Moon names, like Harvest Moon and Strawberry Moon.
Witches and Werewolves
In the past, it was common to think that many forms of mental illness were caused by the Moon, hence the name lunatic. The Full Moon has even been held responsible for supernatural transformations, changing otherwise harmless men into ferocious werewolves.
Modern Full Moon Celebration
The Full Moon still inspires celebrations. One of the most famous gatherings these days is the monthly Full Moon party on Haad Rin beach on the island of Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand, where thousands of tourists gather every month.

Comet Johnson, a Full Moon, and other awesome things to look for in the sky this week.
By Richard Talcott
Friday, June 9
Full Moon occurs at 9:10 a.m. EDT, though our satellite will look completely illuminated all night. You can find it low in the southeast as darkness falls and peaking in the south around 1:30 a.m. local daylight time. The Moon lies on the border between Ophiuchus the Serpent-bearer and Sagittarius the Archer, just 3° north of magnitude 0.0 Saturn.
Saturday, June 10
For people who live near 30° north latitude, today marks the earliest sunrise of the year. Although the Northern Hemisphere’s longest day doesn’t occur until Earth’s summer solstice 10 days from now, earliest sunrise happens several days before and latest sunset several days after. The specific dates depend on your latitude, however. In general, earliest sunrise occurs closer to the solstice the farther north you live.
Sunday, June 11
Jupiter appears halfway to the zenith in the southern sky during twilight this week and doesn’t set until after 2 a.m. local daylight time. The brilliant planet shines at magnitude –2.2 among the background stars of Virgo, some 11° west-northwest of the Maiden’s brightest star, 1st-magnitude Spica. When viewed through a telescope, Jupiter’s disk spans 40″ and shows a wealth of detail in its massive atmosphere.

For many Pagans, the cycles of the moon are important to magical workings. It’s believed in some traditions that the waxing moon, the full moon, the waning moon and the new moon all have their own special magical properties, and so workings should be planned accordingly. If your tradition follows these guidelines — or if you think you’d like to time your magic based upon the phase of the moon — here are some tips on what sort of magic to perform during the various lunar stages.
The Full Moon
The full moon is the point at which we can see an entire side of the moon. For magical purposes, many modern Pagans consider the full moon to include the day before and the day after a full moon, for a total of three days. If your tradition requires you to follow the phases of the moon for your magical workings, this is a good time to do rituals focused on personal growth and spiritual development. Some examples would include:
Spells related to increasing your intuitive awareness
Healing magic
Rituals that connect you closely with deity, such as Drawing Down the Moon
Any magic related to developing your magical skills
For many Pagans, this is also a time to celebrate with an Esbat ritual. Dorinda is an eclectic witch who lives in Nevada, and she says, “Once a month, during the full moon, I drive out to the desert about half an hour away. There’s a spot that I go that’s really off the beaten path, and I can stand up on a hillside and watch the moon rise, and it’s just magnificent, because there’s no one out there but me. It’s always a very meditative experience, and I can really feel the connection that my body has to the full moon, as well as connecting on a spiritual level. This is when I call upon the gods of my tradition, ask for intuitive guidance, that sort of thing. I always feel so refreshed and aware afterwards, it’s almost hard for me to get to sleep when I get back home.”

Friday is the day of Venus. It takes it name from Frigg, the Goddess of love and transformation. She rules the spiritual side of a person that manifests in the physical. Because of this, Friday is often thought of as dangerously unpredictable. This is expressed in an old East Anglian adage:
Friday’s day will have its trick
The fairest or foulest day of the week.
Deity: Frigg
Zodiac Sign: Taurus/Libra
Planet: Venus
Tree: Apple
Herb: Vervain
Stone: Sapphire/Chrsolite
Animal: Bull/Serpent
Element: Earth
Color: Yellow/Violet
Number: 7
Rune: Peorth(P)
Celtic Tree Month of Hauth (Hawthorn) – May 13 – June 9. Hawthorn month is a time of fertility, masculine energy, and fire. Also associated with the realm of Faerie.
Runic Half-Month of Odal (home, protection) – May 29 – June 13

Friday falls at the end of the work week for many of us, and that means we get a chance to relax for a little bit! Mark your Fridays with colors like pink and aqua, and metals such as copper. This is a day ruled by the planet Venus, so it should be no surprise that Venus and Aphrodite – goddesses of love and beauty – are associated with Fridays. This is a day named for the Norse goddess Freyja, so be sure to take a moment to honor her as well.
Gemstones associated with Friday include coral, emerald and rose quartz, and plants like strawberries, apple blossoms and feverfew are also related. This is a good day to do spellwork associated with family life and fertility, sexuality, harmony, friendship, growth. Take advantage of Friday’s correspondences and plant a seed, make something grow, and enjoy your blessings
*Note: There are a lot of disputes as to the origins of the word Friday, because there is still a great deal of discussion as to whether it was named for Freyja or Frigga, and whether they were the same deity or two separate ones. Some scholars believe that while they may have eventually become two distinctly different goddesses, they could have had their origins in a single, common Proto-Germanic deity.

Ruler: Freya, Venus
Colors: Emerald green or pink
Power Hours: Sunrise and the 8th, 16th, and 24th hours following.
Key Words: Love, money, health
It is easy to spot the ruler of this day by its name. In the word Friday, we see the roots of the name of the Norse goddess Freya, a goddess of love and fertility, and the most beautiful and propitious of the goddesses thus the verse “Friday’s child is loving and giving.”
In Spanish this day of the week is called Viernes and is derived from the goddess Venus. Matters of love, human interaction, the fluidity of communication, sewing and the creation of artistic garments, household improvement, shopping, and party planning all fall under the aspects of Friday and its ruling planet, Venus.
Friday’s angels are Ariel/Uriel, Rachiel, and Sachiel. Rachiel also concerns himself with human sexuality and is a presiding spirit of the planet Venus.
On Fridays, the hour of sunrise and every eight hours after that are also ruled by Venus, and that makes these times of the day doubly blessed. These four hours are the strongest four hours for conducting ritual.
Check the local newspaper, astrological calendar, or almanac to determine your local sunrise.

Friday belongs to Venus, both the planet and its namesake Roman goddess of love. This day is sacred to many other gods and goddesses of love such as Eros, Venus, Aphrodite, and the Norse goddess that gave the day its name, Freya. This day of the week is for magical topics such as love, birth, fertility, and romance. Colors for today include pink and aqua. Some suggestions for Friday enchantments would include:
Carrying a rose quartz with you today to send out some gentle and loving vibes to those crabby co-workers
Working a loving Tarot spell to charm a friend’s pregnancy with good health and safety
Working a little flower magic to enchant a single pink rose for friendship and inner beauty, and setting it on your desk. Or try empowering a red rose for passion and placing it in your bedroom.
Burning rose-scented candles to encourage the same effect. Call on Eros to “bring a passion for life” to your days.
Sharing a romantic snack with your partner. Feed each other ripe, red strawberries. Those strawberries are love-inducing food, and are sacred to many love goddesses, including today’s patroness, Freya.

The Full Moon is a peak, and many feel the buzz. It’s a crescendo and sometimes brings on a reckoning…a moment of truth. It’s associated with illumination, since it lights up the dreamtime landscape.
At the Full Moon, the luminaries — Sun and Moon — are always in opposite Zodiac signs. The polarity brings heightened tension, as balance is sought between the two extremes.
Waxing Moon
The Moon has been waxing (increasing), and if you set new Moon intentions, you’re ready to act!
In the hum of the jolty energies, there can be epiphanies about things that were vague desires at the New Moon.
Make it real, with tangible actions, perhaps a ritual that signifies you’re ready to integrate your intent. I like to stay open to surprise, too, and divine inspiration.
Time to Act?
Every month, you have a chance to experience a fresh start. The Moon’s waxing and waning is like the shortest hand on the cosmic clock. The intentions we set with the Moon can get specific, and match the traits of the sign that month.
This is a way to stay attuned to cosmic currents, and go with the flow. It’s a constant in a chaotic time, that the Moon waxes and wanes. Each lunation is a chance to set new goals, and feel closer to a bigger mystery.
Full Moon Intentions
This word is used a lot, and is interchangeable with the word goals. Perhaps, though, it suggests an active engagement in what you’re co-creating with the universe.
Your intent is what you intend to create in your life. Some like to to create Vision Boards at the New Moon. But the amped up energies, and clear sight make the Full Moon ideal for dreaming-while-awake.
Preparing for the Full Moon
Each full Moon has a different intuitive feel, and any ritual you do could draw on the essence of the sign.
As it approaches, you might gather photos, found objects, meaningful totems and place them with your intentions in a prominent place.
You might light a candle in a simple Full Moon Ritual.
Time to Celebrate
The Full Moon often casts an exuberant vibe, making it a great time to have a party. This also opens the door for meaningful people to step into your life. But keep in mind that it can be intense, too.
There’s a reason why more patrolmen are sent out on full Moons! Take time to honor yourself in some way for any steps you took since the new Moon.
The Climax and the Big Reveal
Sometimes Full Moons feel like the end of an Act in your ongoing life story.
It’s like in a movie where all the plot points are pulled together, and for a brief moment, you can see the interwoven whole. If you set intentions, the full Moon is a time when you begin to make out the path, and can take an exhilarating step forward. It is both a culmination and a time to act on something you’ve imagined. In the act of doing, you have brought an idea into reality, and made magic.

Letting Go
Full Moons are big peaks, and with ritual, you can go with the momentum. And that simply means concentrating your energy for a symbolic or real action.
The lunar cycle gives you many chances to do rituals to mark a personal turning point or let go.
At the New Moon, you can go into the dark and be symbolically reborn. New Moon rituals help you summon your whole Self, and in that magic moment, commit to intentions.
At the full Moon, the energy builds and builds….there’s an explosive outgoing aspect to it. All of nature grows and is more vital at the full Moon. This surge allows you to take action on behalf of those new Moon intentions you set two week prior. A full Moon ritual might involve taking one solid step, with a symbolic action. And it can be a powerful time to release, cast out, unburden yourself, purge, etc. You celebrate your emergence by stepping out of an old skin, identity, behavior, attitude, relationship. The ritual helps you by marking this inner transformation in a formal way.
A full Moon ritual might involve purification by one of the elements. Most often, it’s fire, and done by casting something you don’t want into the flames. One idea: 1) Write what you’re releasing down on a stick. 2) resolve to let go as you throw it into the fire. 3) Throw the stick into the fire. This can be done as a group, with everyone sitting ’round the fire…or in your own private ceremony.
Each person can seal their action of letting go by speaking it aloud, if there’s trust in the circle.
Water can be used to cleanse in rituals. I remember a very meaningful full Moon ceremony I had at my house with three other women. We had filled a blue bowl with water and some rose petals. Each of us wrote down what we wanted to draw into our lives on a piece of paper.
After we read them aloud, we put our hands in the bowl to signify the cleansing of the old, to open to the new. It’s still one of my favorite memories. Mainly it worked because we all trusted each other to be open hearted and share our dreams. When that’s there, you can evoke the magic of shifting consciousness at will because the support is palpable.
Items you’ll need: Floating candles, a large bowl, water, matches, a pen.
1. Create sacred space with candles, sage smudging, and setting up altars with powerful totems. For some rituals, I’ll use an owl’s wing that a friend gave me, to represent wisdom.
2. If possible, stand or sit under the Moon. Allow yourself to feel a direct relationship to it, as a mover of the living waters of the Earth and within our own bodies.
3. Do a grounding exercise, to bring you out of the chatter of small talk and into ritual space. Feel the earth under your feet and shake out the tension in the body.
4. Place the large water-filled bowl in front of you, or in the middle of your gathering on a table.
5. Each person writes what they’re releasing on the floating candle. It’s not important that it shows up, just that the intention is there.
6. As you place the candle into the bowl, declare what you’re releasing.
7. Light the candle.
8. Allow yourself to feel the transfer of what you’re releasing to the candle. As a group focus on letting go into the water, holding hands if that feels right.
9. Celebrate this release by sharing a feast under the full Moon!
Allow the candle to keep burning in the bowl as a symbol of the letting go process. The flame is a purifier, and symbolizes the sparks of inspiration as well. If you blow out your floating candle, and your bowl is in your home, relighting it will remind you of your commitment. Place inspiring pictures and totems around it that remind you of who you’re becoming. Above all, give yourself kudos for honoring your own growth.

7-9 June
Vestalia is the spirit of ancient Rome, abided in a flame that was kept flickering in the temple of Vesta-the hearth (heart) of the city and the royal palace. The fire was tended by six priestesses, considered to be the “king’s daughters,” who were chosen as children for their nobility and physical perfection. The priestesses or bestial Virgins were held in high regard and lived a life of affluence. However, their high position tion demanded discipline and compromise; they were required to remain celibate for their 30 years of service.
The festival of Vesta began on June 7. When the temple was opened to women, men were forbidden to enter the temple. Because very little is known of the public or private Vestal rites, we can only speculate as to what took place. However, historians ans do know that at some point, the fire in the temple was ritually ally rekindled and that prayers and offerings were made. In addition to performing all of the sacred rites for the festival, tival, the Vestals undertook other ritual duties. For example, it was their responsibility to make the sacred salt cake (mola-salsa) used in the Vestalia. This required them to fetch water from a sacred spring and bring it back without setting it down along the way. They were also in charge of ritually sweeping the temple clean before it was closed to outsiders on June 15.

Invocation for Vesta
Items needed: A small table covered with a white cloth; a statue or picture of Vesta; one large white pillar candle; fresh violets; a dish of salt; a dish of flour.
Place the statue or picture of Vesta near the center-back of the altar. The candle should go directly in front of the statue, and the violets are sprinkled around the candle. The two small dishes of salt and flour are placed center-front.
To begin, take several relaxing breaths and focus on the image of Vesta. Imagine how it might have been to be one of her priestesses. When you feel the time is right, light the candle and speak her invocation:
Goddess of the hearth and home,
Let your brilliance now be known.
The flair of potential does abound,
Well within your temple round.
Vestal Virgins dressed in white,
Keep your fire burning bright.
As elements of salt and flour,
Are offered in this ritual hour.
Let your powers bright and bold,
Grace me now from times of old.
Your flame of love I did light,
To bring me honor from this night.
I now give all honor to thee,
For your blessings
so mote it be.
When you have completed the invocation, take some time to reflect on the Goddess. If you have prayers or petitions of your own, make them at this time. Leave the candle to burn for one hour.
Daily lighting of the candle will bring Vesta’s blessings to your home and family.

It’s Friday, the day to take off and just get away from it all. What a better way to start the day with this beautiful poem. Sit back, listen and let your mind float away in the…..
I leave my cares and world behind
And drift away with a wandering mind
To a place where dreams come true
Where the grass is green and the sky is blue
Then a gentle breeze brushes my face
As I wander through this gentle place
Where birds and bees sing in the trees
And the grass bends with a gentle breeze
A song is sung but in natures way
One that is heard when children play
One that is carried forth for all to hear
But heard by those who know no fear
It plays both in day and also at night
You don’t use your ears or need a light
Close your eyes for it is all around
Open your heart and it will be found
Once it is heard it won’t just go away
It won’t leave you alone not for a day
Its source can’t be found but still you will look
Beneath every rock and the babbling brook
Try as you might and look where you can
And when you are finished go look again
For this magickal sound and wondrous place
Is often hidden right in front of our face
But though it is so simple often it’s missed
And I have heard people say it doesn’t exist
Still there are others who smile and know
Of the song that is sung and where they should go
They know this world is created with only a thought
Not with something borrowed or something bought
So in their mind’s eye they create it with will
What wonders await us just over the hill

I don’t know if you have seen these are not but they are listed on our store. We have had a lot of interest in these beautiful candles, off-line as well as on-line. We have sold about 35 off-line and they are starting to catch fire on the internet. We have several candles with various meanings and each one comes with a beautiful necklace. The necklace is either a charm or a stone. You get the necklace and the candle for only $14.00. This is a wonderful deal, the candles aren’t the small ones at all, they are 7 inches tall so that means you will have plenty of burn time with these beauties. The one below is just one of 14 we have. They are going fast and we wanted to give you the opportunity to jump on them if you wanted on.

This is a calming candle with a Howlite charm necklace. Like I said, there are several other types of candles on our store. So check them out and see if you would like one.
Next, we are now making bindrunes. Yes, we have had several request for them and now we are back to making them. Well, I should say I am. Bindrunes are made out of a combination of runes. They can be used for anything for love to protection. The woodcutter finished cutting up my willow branches yesterday and now all I am doing is waiting for your requests. The bindrunes can be carried with you, put in your car or tucked safely in your child’s room for protection from nightmares or anything else. They are powerful symbols and being made out of the magickal Willow only adds to their power. If you think you have had a curse or hex put on you, then you need a bindrune. If you are in need of financial success, you need a bindrune. The bindrunes have so many uses. They are ancient symbols that are once again see the light of day. You will receive a wooden token, with your special rune (picked out by you), wood burned and blessed by me. We are offering the bindrunes only to the members of the WOTC. The bindrunes will cost only $8.00. The way it works is that you send me your request or make a comment here for which one you want. I then make it and when it is done, I will contact you. Than you can either use Paypal or send us a money for the amount due. Nothing complicated, simple. Anyone can use a bindrune, I have one I grab every time I go out the door for safe journeying. I cannot emphasize enough how powerful they are. Once you get the rune in your hand, you will feel the power or it, I guarantee you that.
Below is a chart of the bindrunes, I will be making. You will notice there is a bindrune for every occcasion. If you do not see one you need, let me know, there are many more runes than listed here. I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity because I only get into the mood to make bindrunes every once in a blue moon.

You will notice these are made into pendants. The willow bindrunes can also be turned into necklaces but I am not to adapt at using a drill. I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. Bindrunes are ancient and very, very powerful.
You can leave your request here but do not include your personal mailing address. I will contact you for that. Or you can email your request to witches_of_the_craft@outlok.com. I hope you will take advantage of this offering, like I said it don’t come around very often. And not to mention tese days and times, everyone could use a protection bindrune just to carry with them.

A circle is a safe, sacred space that we create. It is “between” the worlds, the magickal and the mundane worlds. It marks a “place that is not a place, in a time that is not a time”. What we mean by this is that it is sort of a nexus, a place that can touch and reach all other places and people in time and space.
How does this happen? By intent and the will of the person or people who “cast” the circle. This vision is created so strongly on the astral plane that we can manifest it in the physical plane, and it creates a boundary past which energy will not pass, unless you send it out. The circle is used as a container, to hold the magickal energy that you raise (also called the “cone of power”) until you are ready to send it out for a purpose. Ceremonial magicians will also use a circle at times for protection, to keep unwanted energies or spirits out. I use a circle more for containment rather than protection, but the protective element is good to have there anyway.
There are many reasons to have a circle, but they pretty much boil down to one of three:
To work
To worship
To play
Work would be magick, healing, self inner work such as meditation, or whatever you are doing that has a specific purpose, and these circles would mainly be done at the times of the Full Moons, New Moons, or Dark Moons, and are called Esbats.
Worship can be done at Esbats as well, but is always done for the Sabbats which are the Wiccan Holidays, and there are eight: (see the Sabbats Menu for more detail on these) the four greater Sabbats and the four lesser Sabbats. We believe in our tradition that we should avoid doing magick for personal gain at the Sabbats, but that magick for greater spriritual growth, and growth in our lives, or for healing the earth is all right. On these eight days, we give back to the Gods thanks for the blessings that we receive.
And to play, well, those circles are mainly for fun, or learning, and can be done at any time. They are also called Esbats, and can be done anytime and anywhere you like. Wicca is a religion that allows for play, indeed ritual is mostly to have younger self come out and play and be active.
So now you may want to know how to actually cast a circle for yourself. Well, there are dozens of books on the subject, all giving you different directions for the four elements, and all giving you different words to say, etc. I have to tell you that the directions of the elements and the words used to cast the circle don’t really matter – what matters is what goes on inside of you!
What should be going on in YOUR head is a strong visualization of what you are doing, not worrying about if you have gotten the words correct or not. Words do not cast a circle, strong intent does!
Before I begin to give instructions on this, I have to emphasize that each group that I have circled with does things their own way. No one way is always right. I will be telling you what MY tradition follows, without giving away anything that I have vowed to keep secret, and offer you some ideas for words that you can use. Please do not email me to tell me that I am doing it wrong! Each tradition has it’s own way, and if there is another way that works better for you then by all means, use it. This way works beautifully for myself and the people that I work with, and I am simply sharing it with you. This is NOT written in STONE! Please use only what works for you.
You should always cleanse yourself and your ritual area before beginning any ritual. To cleanse yourself, take a ritual bath. To cleanse your ritual space, you will take a besom (or broom) and astrally “sweep” the space clean of any unwanted energy. This is especially important if you are using a room that is otherwise used by the family, such as your livingroom, or bedroom, or office. Start at the back of the room, and going widdershins (or counter-clockwise) and visualize and clouds or muddinesss in the atmosphere being swept away, take it all around the room, to the door, and sweep it all the way out the front doorway. If there is a lot of negative energy in the area you need to use, then go around first with sage, burning it strongly and smudging the area well prior to using the besom.
There is a chant that our group uses for doing this:
“Tout, tout, tout
Within and without
All negativity
Get out, out, out.”
Another verse I have heard used for this purpose is a bit longer:
“Besom, besom, long and lithe,
Made from ash and willow withe,
Tied with thongs of willow bark
In running stream at moonest dark,
With the pentagram indited as the ritual fire is lighted.
Sweep the circle deosil,
Sweep out evil, sweep out ill.
Make the round of the ground where we do the Lady’s will.”
“Besom, Besom, Witches broom,
Sweep out Spirits, sweep out doom.
Rid the Lady’s Hallowed ground of demons, imps, and hell’s red hounds.
Then stand thee down on her green earth,
By running stream, or Mistress’ hearth
Till called upon for Sabbat’s rite,
To cleanse once more the dancing site
To guard us all from evil might.”
I suggest using something simple, along the lines of the first one, for Esbats, and if you have others present, or are doing a more elaborate Sabbat ritual, you might want to use the first, or both, verses of the second invocation. (I do not know the author of the second set of verses, and if you do know I would appreciate an email so that I can give proper credit to the author. Please use the email link on the home page.)
Next you can set up your altar area, being sure to double check that you have everything you plan to use in the ritual. It interrupts the energy flow if you suddenly find you forgot something. Don’t worry, it won’t “ruin” it, it is simply better if you have everything at hand.
Think of ritual work as if you were cooking from a recipe. You read over the recipe first to see if it sounds good to you, then you check your cupboards to make sure you have all the ingredients before you start. Ritual is the same way! Read it over first to be sure it sounds good to you, then assemble all the “ingredients” so that you know you have everything the “recipe for ritual” calls for.
One other note here, the steps above are not necessarily done in that order. For example, often I will get the altar and all the tools ready first. Then I will take my ritual bath, then cleanse and besom the area. Sometimes I assemble the tools, then cleanse the area with my besom, then to relax and get in a completely magickal frame of mind, I will take my bath last. The order, in other words, doesn’t matter. Do it however it feels right. If you use the same room over and over again for ritual, and it rarely gets used for any other purpose (like a spare bedroom), then you can forgo doing the besoming every time. The room will remain cleansed and charged from all the rituals done in it. You may want to besom the room again after someone else has been in the room, though. If you show it to friends, or if you do end up having to use it for when company sleeps over. Take a moment to stop and FEEL what the space feels like. You can tell if it needs to be cleansed or if it is fine. Use your own judgement – that is how you will develop your knowledge of these things. If it feels fine to you, then it probably is. If you are unsure, then besom it anyway.
Now you are ready to begin.
The circle is usually cast three times, once with the staff or the athame, then again with the salt and water, then a third time around with incense in the censor. Start in the east and walk slowly, deosil (clockwise or sunwise) around the circle, and say something like:
“I cast this circle in power and strength
To be a place between the worlds
For all who worship the Old Gods.”
Then next you will go around with the salt and water, completely around the circle and you can say the same thing again, or something different, like:
“I cast this circle with water and salt,
That it shall be cleansed and purified.”
Then lastly you will go around with the incense in the censor (you CAN use a potholder if this thing gets hot – just consecrate the potholder also!) and say something like:
“I cast this circle with air and fire,
That it shall be cleansed and purified.”
While you are doing this, it is most important for you to SEE in your mind’s eye the power or energy flowing out from your staff or your athame, and creating a blue or blue-white “flame” or barrier, which is the boundary of the circle. You will see this boundary being created each time you go around and cast the circle. And remember, that this circle is not a flat two-dimensional circle on the floor, but a complete globe that encircles the entire room, both below your feet and also over your head. Make sure that your visualization is complete in that respect. And remember, practice makes perfect.
Casting the circle is the beginning of the ritual, and so by definition has more power the more often you do it the same way. If you are working alone, this is no problem, you just find a way that you like to do it, and memorize that way. Do it the same way every time, and soon you will feel the words and the power flowing out without any trouble at all. When you decide to work with a group, however, you will all need to be casting the same way, so that all can participate in your “vision” and help create sacred space. So, whatever way you decide to do this as a solitary practitioner, don’t get so “set” in your ways that you can’t change or adapt later if you happen to find a group you want to work with.
Now that you have cast the circle, you will want to purify yourself. The space has been purified by your actions, (and you may have swept the space astrally beforehand with your besom or broom as well.) Some groups do this after they call the elements, some do it before. Either way, it is done BEFORE you would invite in the Lord and Lady.
To bless and purify yourself and the other participants, you can use oil mixed with salt water, and mark a pentagram on your forehead and ask:
“May the blessings of the Lord and Lady be upon you.”
Or you can say other words that are appropriate to the rite you plan to do. Either way, this is a simple blessing, which is sealed with a kiss, say “Blessed Be” and hug. Our group does a much more formal and head to toe blessing in which we annoint each other starting at the head, and bless each part of the body for the purpose it was created, and then also end with a “Blessed Be” and a hug. In most groups with both sexes, the men bless the women and vice versa. If this isn’t possible, it’s ok to have the same sexes bless each other. The power and magick in Wicca is traditionally passed on from one sex to the other and uses the power of the sexual tension thereby created, however, as in everything else, different groups will have their own way of doing things, and this is also fine.
After the Ablutions (the blessing of the participants), then you can call in the elements, or rather, we call in the Guardians of the elements. You see, the elements, or elementals, in their natural state, can be difficult to control by a novice, or even a long time initiate at times. So for our own safety, we call upon the Guardians of the Watchtowers of each direction to which we have assigned an element in our tradition. So, for example, we would call (starting in the east) the “Guardian of the Watchtower of the East, the power of Water.” (Our tradition differs with many published books regarding the placement of the elements in the directions, but there is no ONE right way to do this!) We will also list some of the attributes we wish to share, or say a few words regarding the rite or the magick we are about to do. We ask that they come at our command, and we end with “So mote it be”, a phrase which means “so it must be.”
Go around to each of the directions in the circle, the east, south, west and lastly north, and call upon the Guardian of the element you have assigned to that direction, according to the system you have decided to use. When you have finished, return to the center of the circle, or to the place where you have set up your altar.
Calling for the presence of the Lord and Lady is different than the elements. We “command” the elements to come, but we invite the Lady and the Lord, or the Goddess and God. They are actually always with us, within us, and so we are actually evoking from inside of ourselves their presence so that we can feel them manifesting in the circle. This can be a very powerful and strong feeling, and the more strongly you can evoke these energies, I believe the faster your spiritual growth can progress. To invite the Gods and Goddesses, we will sometimes use poetry, sometimes read something beautiful and reverent or just close our eyes and say the words from our hearts. The last method is the one I prefer for private worship and for my group’s inner circles, but for Sabbats I will often use poetry or read something. That way all who attend can participate and call upon the Lord and Lady also in their own ways, privately.
Now that the God and Goddess are present, this is the time that you would do the work, or the purpose for which the circle was intended. Magick, healing, psychic readings, private meditations, inner work with the Goddess, creating something, channeling poetry or songs; whatever your purpose for the circle will be done at this time. You are only limited by your own imagination!
After the work is finished, you will need to ground and center, to start to bring yourself out of the “altered state” of the circle and back into the mundane state of regular day to day living. This is best accomplished by sharing what is commonly called “Cakes and Ale” or “Cakes and Wine”. This is where you will bless and consecrate the wine (or beverage) and the cakes (or food) that you are going to eat and share with all the participants. Before you eat, however, many use this time to perform the Great Rite symbolically.
The Great Rite is the union of female and male that is sacred to all life, and is the basis for all life. This is done symbolically in the circle by using the symbols of the athame to represent the male, and the chalice to represent the female. Wine (or some beverage) is poured into the chalice, then both are held up for all to see, with the two people preforming this rite (usually the High Priestess and the High Priest) facing each other in front of the altar. The athame is plunged into the chalice, but gently, and this symbolizes the sacred union. There are many, many different words that can be said at this point, and most will be along these lines:
“As the athame is to the male
So the chalice is to the female
And joined together, they are one
For the greatest magick is Love.”
After this is done, the cakes are also blessed, and the wine and cakes are passed out to all participants. Many people will say as they pass them out “May you never hunger” or “May you never thirst” which comes from the book by Robert Heinlein called “Stranger in a Strange Land”. These are used by many groups, and are wonderful for the message they convey. Other groups may simply say “Blessed Be”. Use what you prefer, or create your own special blessing. This is also a time for sharing, and bonding, for telling stories, for laughter, and for answering any questions that might arise. Don’t be fooled into cutting this time short, this is an important part of the ritual too, and should be enjoyed to the fullest.
Now that the work is finished, you are properly on your way to being grounded, it is time to thank the Lord and Lady and give them leave to depart. This is done respectfully, and often with a wish that they aid us and guide us in the work we are doing, or in the coming season.
Remember we don’t command them, we simply invite them.
To dismiss the Watchtowers is next before the circle can be opened and completed, and this is done in the same manner as they were previously called. Some groups will start in the North and go widdershins (counterclockwise) to do this, and some groups will still start in the east and end in the east as they did for casting the circle. Use either way, whatever feels right and comfortable for you. Please do be sure, however, to thank the elements and to send them safely on their way. Failure to do that can sometimes result in “accidents” happening for a few days around the house, depending on how well you called them in. Our group also adds a “harm ye none on your way” to the end of our dismissal, and end this with “So Mote it Be”.
To dissipate the energy of the circle, to take it down, or open it, is to visualize the energy that you put down, either being expanded out and into the earth to be absorbed and used by the earth, or as being taken back into your tool (staff or athame) and being absorbed or stored there. Both are valid, and are used by different groups. We send the energy out to the outer edge of our “covenstead” to protect our members as they drive home, and then to dissipate naturally into the earth from whence we called it forth.
At this point, you have started in the east and ended in the east and taken up or opened the circle, and the rite is ended. Many people will use the traditional:
“The circle is open, but never broken,
Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again!”
Which is also followed by a lot of hugging, and saying “Blessed Be” to each other, and in general making sure that everyone gets hugged. It’s also customary after Sabbats and sometimes Esbats to feast. This is because you should eat very lightly before a circle where you plan to do magickal working, or even fast for a time (not long, consult your doctor if you have any health concerns). And magick is hard work! Raising energy and sending off that cone of power is a lot of work, and a hearty appetite is usually to be expected after a long circle, so feast is pot-luck and self-serve most often.
Circle etiquitte is pretty elementary, and usually just plain common sense and consideration. Unfortunately, some people leave that at the door when they come to circle, or so it would seem. So here are a few do’s and don’t’s:
DO bring something to every circle you are invited to, such as a dish for feast, or some wine, or soda. Or ask the hostess what she would like you to bring.
DO stay and help clean up afterwards! Your host or hostess are not your servants, and they were kind enough to invite you into their home, be kind enough not to leave it messy. Pick up, and wash if necessary, dishes, or glassware you have used. If you borrowed a robe or a tool (such as a chalice or athame) make sure it gets properly put away where it belongs.
Show proper respect for other people’s belongings, especially their altars and tools. Touch nothing without permission.
DONT be late! If you are running late and it’s unavoidable, at least call to let them know you are late and just how late you think you will be. Many times I have waited rituals for people who had decided at the last minute they weren’t going to attend. If you do find that you can’t come and you had commited to coming, the courtesy of a phone call is always appreciated.
DONT bring guests without permission!
DONT put anything on the altar unless you ask first!
DO make sure you say Thank You to your hosts!
A word now about children… they are our future, and they should certainly be invited to attend outer court Esbats and Sabbats, when they are old enough to know what is going on and to behave accordingly! If you do bring your children to circles, please do not expect everyone else to keep an eye on them. They are your responsibility, and your problem. Before anyone gets put off by my attitude, please be aware that I am a mother, and a grandmother, and my children have always attended any circles that they were allowed and asked to attend. AND they behaved themselves. Children can either be the most wonderful addition to a circle, or the most disruptive. You as the parent have the obligation to see that they know what is going on beforehand and will be comfortable with it. If they are disruptive, and won’t behave, and are bothering other people, then please ask for a door to be cut in the circle and take them out, and go with them to supervise them. If the circle is not appropriate for children, and they are old enough to be left to their own devices for the time, maybe they could watch a movie that would be appropriate for them, or have some kind of activity planned for them.
Some groups with lots of young children take turns in supervising activities for them that are Wiccan related, while the other adults have their circle. I have also done circles exclusively for the children, and they have been some of the most fun too! In one we “pretended” we were each of the elements in turn and acted as we thought that element might act. In another, each child had a percussion type instrument, like maracas, cymbols, drums, etc, and we had our own “cone of power” through chanting nursery rhymes and drumming. These directed activities will be more meaningful for your child than a ritual aimed at adults, and are a wonderful way to introduce the “sacred circle” to them, before you expect them to be able to sit or stand still for any length of time. These work for very young children as well as for older ones.
In closing, I would just like to emphasize again, that these are the practices that our coven chooses, and in no way mean that you can’t do/see/feel something very different! The strength of Wicca, in my opinion, lies in it’s diversity, and in the ability of the practitioners to adapt to whatever circumstances they need and abilities they have. So use this information in whatever way is useful to you, and don’t use whatever doesn’t feel right to you. Most importantly to me, though, is that you ENJOY

They say that the longest journey begins with a single step. So, too, the exploration of Magickal studies begins with a single step. Though the first step in a physical journey is often self-evident, the First Step on a Magickal journey is often not quite so clear. While formally organized groups often have a path of lessons to instruct newcomers, the solitary or isolated student is often left standing in perplexity on this broad plain of knowledge, wondering just where in the heck to begin. And wondering, too, if it’s “okay” to start just anywhere.
While it’s true that studies can begin in any direction that attracts you, the necessary first step must be learning to make psychic shields. There are “Things of the Dark” out there. There are any number of explanations for what these things might be– ghosts, demons, or simply uncontrolled urges of the subconscious mind. In truth, it doesn’t matter what they are. What does matter is that their effect is very real and unless they are put under your control, they will drag you over the borders of sanity into psychosis. You are most vulnerable to them while you’re in an “open” trance or meditative state. That’s why the wise practitioner always begins by taking steps to define exactly what will be permitted through the portals of their psychic shields– no matter how simple the ritual. And this, in a nutshell, is what “protective magic” is about.
There are a number of ways to do this. The most common is to begin by drawing a circle (around a group or yourself) and invoking the one or more protective powers. Generally, this is done by candlelight, in front of an altar that holds certain magical objects. The circle may be further “secured” and “cleared” by using salt, salt water, rum, incense, or some other method. You may be wearing a special robe and will have taken a bath ( or performed a cleansing ritual) earlier. The powers that protect you will be called on and THEN you will begin your ritual.
Is it psychological? Absolutely! Is there a reason why protection rituals always take this form? Positively! Let’s take a step back and see what you’re actually doing and how the process works– from a psychological standpoint– and how to use this knowledge to help you refine your circles to enhance your rituals.
Psychologists and psychics alike view the mind’s structure as a three-part entity: The ego (that which you think of as yourself), the superego (the “higher self”) and the Id (the child within). The Id is, in a sense, a computer. Like most computers, it operates on the “garbage in-garbage out” principle. There’s an old superstition “as you name something, so will it become.” Tell yourself that you’re very unlucky and your id will obligingly give you bad days by enhancing any negatives in your environment. Tell yourself that you are clumsy, and your id-computer will obligingly arrange for you to break a leg while stepping off the sidewalk. The bad news is that the Id can’t make a judgement as to whether or not this is a good idea. It only knows that it’s received these “instructions” and must carry them out. The good news is that you can actually program/reprogram this portion of your mind.
You begin programming this Internal Servant of yours by first drawing its attention to what you want done and then explaining what you need done in a simple and clear manner. Repeating the instructions in a chant help fix the goals for the Id– rhymed chants seem to be easier for it to process. Each time you perform the ritual and repeat the chant, the programming is strengthened. Never mind that your ego and superego understand that you’re going to program the child-like Id. It works just the same.
To direct the Id’s attention to the process, you first have to impress it. Using special tools and clothing alert it that something unusual is going on and that it must pay attention. Acquiring hard-to-obtain items, drawing symbols, performing a symbolic sacrifice (donating money, say, to a good cause) are all ways of reinforcing the Id’s impression that this ceremony is very special and that the result will be very powerful. Organized, meaningful symbols, speak to your subconscious mind in ways it understands, reinforcing the goals you have set.
Drawing the circle itself establishes boundaries within your environment (“The rest of the world can do what it likes Out There. All within this circle is in MY control”). Purifying the circle and consecrating it (sprinkling water which has been blessed and salt added) further enforce your territory, defining the borders where you are “safe”. Nothing can enter this area except what you invite inside. You further tighten these borders by calling on certain Powers.
You can call on any powers you like. Some use traditional Christian images. Others call up deities from the religion they are most comfortable with. And many people use the thought/image of a beam of light that represents either God/Goddess (whichever one they like) OR The power of light and life and goodness in the Universe.
The number of powers called as guardians varies. You may choose to invoke one powerful being to protect your circle. Or you might call on the Universal Being/Light AND four guardians (one for each quarter of the compass). A third approach is to use a guardian for the four quarters of the compass and no higher being. There is no “absolutely correct” system; the correct system is the one that YOU are comfortable with.
Take time to choose the guardians of your circle carefully. You should select guardians (gods or animals or some form of life) which have a deeper meaning to you and whose qualities are in harmony with your goals. For the new student, it’s best to have all your Powers and Guardians from the same belief system/religion/mythic universe so that the symbols will be consistent and not confuse the Id.
You CAN use people– saints, movie actors, figures from favorite books as guardians. DO, however, pick someone who’s dead or non-existent. The dead can’t argue with your interpretation of them, whereas the living may be highly offended to be approached as gods/ guardians).
As your studies continue, you will find that your totems or guardians change. This is to be expected; as you explore new realms in your studies, you may find you need guardians who deal with very specific areas to strengthen and guide you in these new fields.
But don’t make the mistake of assuming that you’ll become so powerful that you will never need the protection of the psychic shielding circle in some form. And don’t assume that you will not need a circle for “positive” magicks such as healing. Open is open– and open is vulnerable. And circles strengthen and protect you by defining what psychological influences will be allowed to work with you.

You’ll need:
A piece of lightweight cardboard
Writing/drawing utensils
Black yarn
A fireplace, bonfire, cauldron, or other safe place to burn the cardboard
Cast a strong protective circle around yourself and all participants before you begin.
Take a piece of light-weight cardboard and draw images and write words on it to represent the evils that you wish to bind. For example, draw a man with an X crossing out his heart to show it is closed, write words like “Greed”, “Irresponsibility”, “Disrespect”, etc. Then crumple the cardboard up into a loose ball.
Take a piece of black yarn and wind it around the cardboard twenty one times. With each time you loop the string around the cardboard, say one line of the following chant…
With the thread of the crimes
of your own design
I bind your evil
Three times seven times.
I bind you from Behind
I bind you from Before
That you’ll hurt my people
never ever more
I bind you from the Left
I bind you from the Right
I bind you by Day
And I bind you by Night.
I bind you from Below
I bind you from Above
That you may ever know
The laws of Life and Love
I bind you with your own
Good conscience Within
And so let this magic
Unfold
And spin….
Tie off the ends of the yarn with three sturdy knots to seal the spell. When done with this, burn the wrapped images and words in a loud, strong, crackling fire. Chant these words until it is thoroughly burned:
Goddess of darkest night
Send our troubles all to flight
Burn them in thy sacred fires
And replace them with our hearts’ desires!
Once the image is burned and all negativity removed, do a positive visualization to replace it. For example, visualize people laughing and dancing in rainbows, etc.

In conclusion, a Prayer to The Great Mother

It has been a madhouse around here this morning and we sincerely appreciate you patience with us. Now the conclusion of today’s horoscopes…
If You Were Born Today, June 7
Get a Jump on Tomorrow, Your Horoscopes for Thursday, June 8

Ah, what a glorious morning to be alive! The weather is cool, the windows opens, the crisp fresh air of Spring gently blowing in. On day’s like today, you feel the Goddess’ presence all around you. Feel the magick in the love and magick our Divine Mother bless us with each day. Let’s get the day started, what’cha say?
Hear now the words of the witches,
The secrets we hid in the night,
When dark was our destiny’s pathway,
That now we bring forth into the light.
Mysterious Water and Fire,
The Earth and the far-reaching Air,
By hidden quintessence we know them,
And will keep silent and dare.
The birth and rebirth of all nature,
The passing of winter and spring,
We share with the life universal,
Rejoice in the magcial ring.
Four times in the year the Great Sabbat
Returns, and the witches are seen
At Lammas and Candlemas dancing,
On May Eve and old Hallowe’en.
And when day time and night time are equal,
When sun is at greatest and least,
The four lesser Sabbats are summoned,
Again witches gather in feast.
Thirteen silver moons in a year are,
Thirteen is the coven’s array.
Thirteen times at Esbat make merry,
For each golden year and a day.
The power was passed down the ages,
Each time between woman and man,
Each century unto the other,
Ere time and ages began.
When drawn is the magical circle,
By sword or athame of power,
It’s compass between the two worlds lies
In the land of shades that hour.
This world has no right to know it,
And the world beyond will tell naught.
The oldest of gods are invoked there,
The Great Work of Magic is wrought.
For two are the mystical pillars,
That stand at the gate of the shrine,
And two are the power of nature,
The forms and the forces of the divine.
The dark and the light in succession,
The opposites each unto each,
Shown forth as a God and a Goddess:
This did our ancestors teach.
By night he’s the wild wind’s rider,
The Horned One, the Lord of the Shades.
By day he’s the King of the Woodland,
The dweller in green forest glades.
The bright silver lady of midnight,
The crone who weaves spells in the dark.
She is youthful or old as she pleases,
She sails the torn clouds in her barque,
The master and mistress of magic,
They dwell in the deeps of the mind,
Immortal and ever renewing,
With power to free or to bind.
So drink the good wine to the Old Gods,
And dance and make love in their praise,
Till the Summerland shall receive us
In peace at the end of our days.
And Do What Thou Wilt
Shall be the challenge,
So be it in love that harms none,
For this is the only commandment,
By magic of old, be it done!
Eight words the Witches Creed fulfull:
It if Harms None, Do What Thou Will

Items You Will Need:
Jewelry Items
Musk or Cedar Oil
Obtain a piece of jewelry. Any sort will do as long as it is something that you like enough to wear frequently. Rub a bit of oil into the piece and chant:
“I imbue you with courage, and bravery, and nerve.
I empower you with self-confidence, so you may serve
My needs when anxieties attempt to emerge
Eradicate them; let new confidence surge.”
Wear the jewelry as needed.

You Will Need:
One small decorative glass bottle, red if you can find it
Base oil, approximately Vs cup (sunflower or almond oil)
Clean dropper
3 drops ginger oil
z drops basil oil or 2 fresh basil leaves
i drop black pepper oil
i small fresh holly leaf
Small red jasper chip
6 inches thin red or black satin ribbon
1 small metal protective charm or talisman of your choosing (such as a tiny pentagram, a star, or even the Eye of Horus)
A label and a pen (to list the ingredients and to decorate and mark the bottle)
Pour the base oil into the bottle, enough to fill it three quarters of the way full. Add the essential oils one at a time. Next, add the crystal and the holly leaf. If you used basil leaves instead of oil, add those now. Close up the bottle with the lid, place your fingers over the lid, and carefully shake up the mixture. Hold up the mixture to the sunlight, and allow the light of Tuesday’s sun to illuminate the philter within.
Wipe off the outside of the bottle. Use the label to list the ingredients and the use of this potion. Decorate the bottle by drawing protective symbols on the label or whatever ever else you think would add to the magick. Attach the label to the glass bottle and finish up by threading the metal charm onto the ribbon and then tying the red or black ribbon around the neck of the bottle.
As you finish tying on the bow, hold the bottle in your hands and concentrate on the visualization that your aura is pulsing a deep red, filled with vitality, courage and protection. See it in your mind’s eye and feel it all over your body. Now send all that energy straight into the bottle you hold in your hands. Take a deep breath, hold it for three counts, and then blow it out slowly. Now, repeat the charm below:
Basil, holly, and ginger are associated with Mars
Tap into a warrior’s energy and you will go far
Red and black are the Martian hues of power
My spell begins in this enchanted hour
This Tuesday philter will add valor galore
I am courageous and strong forever more!
Set aside the bottle, and ground and center yourself. Clean up the supplies, then go for a quick walk and firmly reconnect yourself back to the earthly plane. Make sure to store the philter in a dark, dry place and out of the reach of young children.

With several months of chaos and craziness behind us in 2017, it’s helpful to look forward with new eyes and a new resolve based on hope for a better world. In this article I’ll outline context for energy shifts and provide some tips for thriving in June. Yes, you can thrive in the face of uncertainty and daily doses of negativity out-pictured in our world.
As I mention in my “2017 Predictions,” hope is essential to move forward. We must strive to connect with hope, regardless of how dire our world appears. We must remember that there is goodness in humanity and love at the core of all beings.
In June we will experience a combination of (1) tricky planetary transits likely to stir emotions and (2) helpful alignments for making progress with creative projects and mending fences in troubled relationships. On some days you may feel the effect of both – emotions (yours or other people’s) more on the surface and your finding you have the energy to create positive changes.
Enhance your success potential by being present and mindful. You will thrive by noticing changes in energy or circumstance, and responding with divine timing. Sometimes the window for timely action is minutes, or even seconds.
Example: you are at a conference and meet someone indirectly connected to your field of interests. You may have only a moment to exchange information before going your separate ways. Trust your intuition. If you get a strong nudge to connect with someone, act on it. You don’t need to have the details of “why” in the moment – just do it.
Most likely you are already sensitive in nature. The energies and events of these times can be quite challenging for sensitives. Keep in mind, though, that you have inner strength and other resources for coping – more than many people around you can access. Remember this in those moments when you feel pushed to the edge. Apply what you know and make an effort to tap your vast inner strength. The more that you do that, in fact, the stronger you become.
As June begins, polarity and division energies continue to catalyze an underlying sense of tension and stress in society. Do your best to be aware of these undercurrents but keep your perspective big picture. With a higher view, you are less likely to feel overwhelmed and more likely to be a calm and conscious voice for constructive changes. This is part of your role, after all, as a divine changemaker.
June 9 is a Sagittarius Full Moon. The energies of this Moon can help bring more truths to light and catalyze breakthroughs. A project in development could receive a nice push forward under this influence. Tip: make and energize intentions for your goals at this time.
June 20 is Solstice. This is a change of seasons, but more than that, it’s a powerful energy gateway. The potency of this gateway continues to unfold throughout the week and into the weekend of June 24-25. Tip: use the time period June 20-25 to do inner work, reflection on your next steps, and energizing of your heart-felt dreams.
June 23-24 is a Cancer New Moon. Happening soon after Solstice, this New Moon is a significant moment for catalyzing new starts, updating approaches, and finding new partners. Tip: meditate on what you want to manifest, getting clear about specifics and the connections between things. Be open to the new.
June can be a month of opportunities to express your light. Decide now that you will be present and looking forward, rather than looking backwards.
This means that you begin anew daily. See yourself and your life path in a fresh way. Let go of how last month was, or what you have accomplished (or not accomplished) so far this year.
Recognize that you alone determine what it means and how it feels to thrive. Set your own thrive bar. Don’t let the world tell you what it is.
Don’t let others, through comparison, make you feel small or not enough. Simply be your best self each day, one idea and one action at a time. Trust that you are enough even before you make the first step, and take that feeling of confidence into your next steps.
When the state of the world gets you down, remember that love will win as we humans are wired to love.
Sitting under the shade of the giant Horse Chestnut Tree, it was easy to get lost in the majesty of the moment and listen to the wind whispering with the leaves, watching the dappled sunlight dancing all around me and feeling the silent power of the earth and quiet dignity of the tree flowing through me. I felt interconnected and alive. Every cell within me tingled and every sound, sight and sense was enlivened and refreshed as though I was experiencing this for the first time. Of course, in many ways, I was experiencing this for the first time as every moment’s unique.
Although fleeting, these are precious opportunities to feel wholeheartedly present and alive, yet it’s so hard to keep hold of this as we step back into the everyday humdrum of life. Life can be unquestionably difficult, challenging, overwhelming and confusing at times, and when we find ourselves in such situations, it can be hard to notice the majesty of the moment as we’re simply too busy trying to do the best we can. Even though we may not notice the magic, it doesn’t mean it stops happening, does it?
Does a tree falling in a forest make a sound or do we create that sound because we are perceiving the moment? Similarly, does the tree only emanate quiet dignity when we feel it or is it always that way? Is it our perception that creates our experiences or do they happen anyway but we just fail to notice? Yet, diving deeply into philosophy doesn’t really help us make sense of the whizz-bang rush of ‘stuff’ we often find ourselves dealing with. Whilst it’s only human to try to make sense of why things are the way they are, there is a time and a place to take a deep breath and step more consciously into the here and now. It’s only when we do this that we become aware of moments of quiet magical majesty and suddenly the answers to the questions we seek no longer seem relevant as we’ve stopped asking the questions.
Of course, there is no clear-cut, easy route through life and we have to take it day by day, doing the best we can. We may want answers and clarity, but whenever we feel we have these, life has a habit of throwing up a curve-ball to remind us that we don’t. So, is battling on, trying to achieve this really the answer, or should we accept the moment in order to allow ourselves to breathe more deeply into the magic and majesty around and within us? Acceptance isn’t giving up, nor is it giving in, it’s a willingness to be fully awake, eyes wide open, and to love life anyway. Life has up’s and it has plenty of down’s, but they’re constants, we cannot eradicate them, so maybe the key to happiness comes not from trying to control the currents or seek out all the answers, but to accept there’s bliss to be found in the uncertainty and from the not knowing. After all, if we knew everything, we’d have nowhere to evolve to and there really wouldn’t be any fun in being know-it-all’s…
With love,
Sarah-Jane

As an air of restlessness continues to create whispers deep within your heart and soul, there is a growing sense of awareness of a changing tide on the near horizon. Whilst you have not actively or consciously been seeking a specific change in the currents of your life, intuitively you have been expecting it as those whispers have been growing louder and more audible over recent weeks and months. June looks set to be a month of creative reflection and deep listening as you allow those whispers to take shape and form, breathing life into them as they take on your fiery effervescence and sparkling courage. Of course, listening to your deeper self is often the easiest part, as acting on those whispers and thoughts can be much harder as they involve looking at both yourself and your life in a completely different way.
You have never been one for turning away from a challenge, and this has seen you achieve a great deal in your life. However, your determination sometimes strays into the realms of stubbornness and you can find yourself pushing on even when intuitively you know it would be better to walk around or away. It’s never easy to know what to do in any given situation: push, resist, walk away or find another path as, on the surface, there are rarely any clear-cut answers. Yet, when you look beyond expectations, drive and beliefs, the answer is usually quite obvious: you just have to open up your eyes and be willing to see the truth. This is a time to trust your phenomenal intuition in order to step into the next chapter of your life with a sense of intuitive know-how to navigate the ebbs and flows with confidence, courage and intuitive wisdom…
Taurus
♉
June looks set to be a month of continued stillness reaching out far and wide into every corner and crevice of your being. On the surface, it may be hard to sense the stillness as your life feels a little chaotic and tumultuous, but, if you pause, even briefly, you will sense the stillness rising up from deep within you. Stillness isn’t necessarily silence, nor is it quietness or tranquillity, the essence of stillness is more a state of being where you feel centred and in equilibrium even in the midst of the busy-ness of your everyday life. You may wonder how on earth such a state can be achieved, particularly given your current circumstances, but there is little to do here other than opening up your consciousness to the concept and allowing it to breathe and flourish. At your core, you are a courageous, steadfast and unfaltering soul, even in the face of adversity, you stand strong and resolute; little rocks you off centre when you connect to your inner power and allow the essence of stillness to flow freely.
Of course, this is somewhat easier said than done, as there are times when life feels like an uphill struggle and you feel overwhelmed and overawed, but, once again, when you take a deep breath, the stillness is always with you, offering a steady hand of support and inspiring you to believe in yourself and your gifts. Life, by its very nature, is inherently unknowable, and whilst this frequently frustrates you, you know it’s a certainty. When you re-centre, you let go of this frustration and allow the ebb and flow of the currents to move freely through your life allowing you to re-connect to your strength and inner power, inspiring you to glow from the inside, out…
Gemini
♊
Change; perhaps the only true constant in life. Like the shifting sands along the beach, nothing ever stays the same, no matter how much you want it to. Of course, intuitively you know this, but you still find it hard to accept the apparent powerlessness of your existence. There is a sense that you sometimes allow this powerlessness to pervade into many aspects of your life as you try to seek out answers to the many questions you have in life; you are not content to sit and watch the world go by, you want to dive in and ascertain exactly why things are the way they are. You allow the concept of powerlessness to disempower you rather than shifting your perspective towards the inevitable ebb and flow of life, and thriving as a result. Yet, why? Do you want to understand so you can let go more or do you want to understand so you can try to get the better of change and thwart the process?
This is no judgement on you, after all, change isn’t always a bed of roses and you’ve seen your fair share of endings. Yet, intuitively you know you can no more stop the process of change than you can stop the day from turning into the night, so why try? Well, your grit and determination do not stem from foolhardiness but from a desire to create the best possible life and to cultivate a truer, and more genuine, sense of happiness. You like to understand why things are the way they are in order to make life better and this desire looks set to inspire you to transform your life as you begin to see the true gift that change brings you and, by letting go, opening up to the bigger picture of your life…
Cancer
♋
As you continue to expand your perspective and allow your focus to step beyond the four walls of your everyday life, there is a growing sense of creative expansion reaching deeply into your heart and soul. Looking beyond the ordinary is inspiring you to tap into the sparkling and effervescent creative force within as you begin to contemplate what you truly want in life. You have been ticking along, going with the flow for quite some time now and your soul is restless, seeking more meaning and challenge. Challenge may seem like an off choice of word, after all, no one wants a challenge do they? Well, yes. A challenge is a way to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and to inspire you to think outside of the box in order to tap into your gifts and skills. Unless you try to push yourself how can you know just how much you are capable of?
Whilst there is much to be said for maintaining routine and ‘keeping on keeping on’, you feel stuck in your trustworthy pair of familiar, somewhat tatty, old comfortable slippers. They still keep your feet warm but they’re threadbare and worn, and your determination to keep wearing them now seems to take more effort than the challenge of either replacing them or going barefoot. Of course, your sensible side feels barefoot is neither practical nor safe, but intuitively you want nothing more than a carefree barefooted dance in the long grass of the hills and valleys of life all around you; you want to experience the freedom of less restraint and the joy of something new. These hills and valleys may not be part of your everyday life but they could be; the question is, do you want them to be? So, comfortable slippers or a carefree dance, the decision is yours…
Leo
♌
What’s more important: loving life or living it? Living life is something we all do by a process of default although many err on the side of caution and try to resist living life until something better comes along. Loving life is perhaps more complicated as it involves a conscious choice or decision to embrace life with an open heart and an open mind, choosing to dive right in and seize the day. There is a very different dynamic to the two and although your heart and soul longs to love life there is a sense that you feel as though you are too busy ‘turning the wheel’ and stuck in a cycle of living life. It can be hard to know how to break this cycle, after all, you are working hard and keeping the wheels on the bus of your life turning around. However, there is a distinct lack of colour and vibrancy with such a strategy as it leaves little room for your passion and creativity to flow freely.
Almost every level of your being longs to let go in order to live a more enriching life yet, it’s hard for you to throw caution to the wind as you risk stepping into unknown territory but it’s important to remember that this is your life and you have a choice to either live it in ways that maintain stability (but perhaps lose spontaneity), or to embrace the moment and see where it takes you. Of course, life is rarely as straightforward as this as there are always many different factors, people and situations to take into account, yet your soul is calling out for you to reach towards your dreams so, do you ignore this or do you use your ingenuity and initiative to embrace a brand-new way of living and being?
Virgo
♍
June looks set to be a month for grabbing hold of your dreams, shaking them about a bit, blowing away the cobwebs and having a good re-think as to what you truly want from life. So, not much time to be resting on your laurels! Although maybe resting on your laurels is exactly what you need to be doing in order to re-evaluate and re-define the shape and story of your life. Sometimes there is more action in being rather than doing. Sometimes doing less actually enables you, in the long run, to do more. This may sound slightly strange and counter-intuitive, but instinctively you know how much more you achieve when you’re thinking clearly and you have a stronger sense of equilibrium in your life, and this doesn’t necessarily come from doing more, it often simply evolves as a result of clearing your head and re-focusing.
Chaos can be immensely disturbing to you as it can pick you up and carry you off into the swirling winds of the tornado of life as you lose sight of your goals and sense of self. Of course, you cannot stop the swirling winds but, when you take a deep breath and reconnect to your inner stillness, you are no longer buffeted about, but more able to stand firm. You also have the choice to willingly let go and ride the waves, and this feels so much more empowering than being tossed about in the swirling winds! In a way, much of this is about re-establishing a stronger sense of self and a clearer perspective as the less overwhelmed you feel, the abler you are to focus on what you truly, unequivocally want from life. Being clear on such matters isn’t always easy but this is a perfect time for you to try…
Libra
♎
The concept of stillness and tranquillity looks set to continue to take centre stage throughout June as you are nearing a crossroads of a significant shift in your life. Although your mind twists and turns like a maelstrom on caffeine pills, you often feel like you ought to have more stillness within as this is what you believe everyone aspires to achieve, after all, isn’t that the pathway to happiness and joy? In some ways you are right, as inner stillness is important, yet if such a state pulls you away from your natural state of being, then is it really the right thing for you? Whenever an ‘ought’ pops into the equation it’s important to re-evaluate your motivations as ‘oughts’ are often a sign that you are trying to be or do something you’re not. Maybe it’s possible to find stillness within that maelstrom and it’s only your ongoing resistance to being the maelstrom that creates the discord? Maybe if you accept your true essence, love it and embrace it, then you can learn how to thrive in the twists and turns?
Being you is fabulous; you are a creative, passionate, philosophical and convivial soul, and you often forget all of this as you aspire to push yourself in order to do more, be more and achieve more. Why not be you and be happy being you? Whilst the concept of stillness and tranquillity take centre stage, they do so in order for you to realise what you are not. This isn’t a waste of time as, in many ways, finding out what doesn’t work for you is just as important as knowing what does work, as it’s a way to distill the essence of you into something clearer and brighter. So, take a deep breath, dive into your beautiful maelstrom and let your true essence fly free…
Scorpio
♏
Sometimes finding exactly the right words is incredibly hard; it can be so difficult to express the essence of a situation or experience into language as the words bring shape and form, and very often, there is no shape or form to the situations you find yourself in. There’s a blurred, wishy-washy line between clarity and uncertainty, but the nebulous nature of being you can mean clarity and certainty are just too concrete for you as they bind you to the moment rather than allowing you to be the fluid and free spirit you truly are. So, trying to describe the place in which you find yourself can be constricting rather than liberating as you become tied to the words rather than riding the ebb and flow. Yet, without description, it can be hard to make sense of your life as there’s no reference point or anything to grab hold of.
However, the more definition you seek out, the more lost you become as you shift out of sorts and feel trapped in the structure of words and sentences. You know only too well that your life is free flowing, indefinable and unformulated as your essence doesn’t know boundaries; you do not confirm yourself to the four walls of everyday life as your consciousness seeks out the bigger picture and beyond. This may not make for an easy life but it makes for a richer one as you allow the essence of you to move beyond words and into a space of openness and curiosity to live your life according to how you feel rather than trying to make sense of everything all of the time. There is always a place for words, but when you step beyond these you liberate yourself from the shackles of trying to fit your unique shaped peg into this square shaped hole called life…
Sagittarius
♐
As your inner infrastructure continues to undergo a major shake-up and reshuffle, there is a growing sense of optimism rising up from deep within your being. It’s hard to explain where this optimism is coming from and even harder to know where it’s heading, as there is a nebulousness about it, but, even though it’s vague and ill-defined, you can’t help but feel excited by the prospect as it’s stirring up a new wave of inspiration in connection to living the life you were born to live. As your inner workings unwind and re-shape, you may feel a deep sense of discombobulation as many areas of your life no longer make much sense to you; it’s as though you’ve been living on auto-pilot for years and you’ve suddenly taken back the controls and have to familiarise yourself with how that feels. As a result, the life you’ve been living is likely to feel slightly out of kilter with the life you’ve thought you’ve been living.
So, as well as liberation you are also facing the reality of ‘flying solo’ and being at the helm of the great big ship of your life. In many ways, this excites you, but it terrifies you at the same time because it means having to make some of those big decisions you’ve been avoiding for so long. It’s not that you hate making decisions, it’s more a case that you’ve not been quite sure how best to proceed with your life, so you have been hovering in indecision, hoping for a lightbulb moment to appear in order to guide you forward. However, as you’re not quite sure what you’re looking for, you’re not quite sure what the lightbulb moment is meant to look like. As your inner reshuffle continues, trust your intuition to guide you and let it lead the way…
Capricorn
♑
Sometimes life is filled with questions to be asked and sometimes life is filled with answers without questions. If you’re lucky, the answers come flooding in without too much of a delay, but there are times, when, no matter how hard you look, you simply cannot find an answer. In fact, the harder you look, the less clarity you find. Then there are the times when the harder you look you forget the question you asked in the first place and end up going on a kind of wild goose chase, chasing your tail without really knowing why. Of course, you can step back and see the funny side to this but not when you’re stuck in the middle of it! Despite your deeply philosophical nature, there is a sense of frustration emanating from you at the current time as you have been on a roll when it comes to answering some of those big life questions but, instead of bringing you clarity, you’ve ended up with more questions to ask.
Life is rarely as straightforward or as black and white as you would like, and, whilst you know this, you still find yourself feeling frustrated because you feel indignant that it can be such hard work. So, whilst you accept you can’t have all the answers, you feel frustrated all the same as you feel you ought to be able to have all the answers. It is a bit contrary and extremely confusing but this is a sign of you kicking out against the treadmill, rabbit run flow of life: you simply cannot just accept what you’re told as you need to find out for yourself. As a result, you are beginning to re-establish a stronger sense of self once again as you find your feet, explore your truth and open up to the concept of thriving in a world without answers…
Aquarius
♒
As your creative sparkle continues to sizzle and buzz, there is a sense you are beginning to look at yourself and your life from a different perspective. Instead of seeing yourself in the everyday colours of your everyday world, you are beginning to notice new colours, textures and shapes appearing as you step beyond the ordinary into your more usual space of the extraordinary. Although you have found yourself in the black and white, monochrome world of the pedestrian, this has been necessary to allow you to keep on keeping on with your life. Yet, all the while, you have been longing to break free and explore the technicoloured vibrancy of your true essence. There is some irony in this as you have been seeing your life in a very black and white way: monochromes or technicolour. Why can’t you have both? Are they mutually exclusive or are they only that way because you believe them to be? The everyday pedestrian world of keeping on keeping on is a necessary part of life but does it really have to be devoid of the colour and vibrancy tucked away in your heart and soul?
Surely if you allow this sparkle to shine and flow freely, you can find ways to turn your everyday into something magical and special? This isn’t to say you will suddenly no longer have any ‘keeping on’ to do or live in a fairy-tale utopian world of specialness, but you will have the opportunity to live more consciously in the present moment knowing you have allowed your uniqueness and sparkle to light up your world from the inside, out. You may then begin to see that your everyday is only monochrome because that’s the filter you use. So, let the sparkle out and allow it to light up your life…
Pisces
♓
The theme of diving into the depths of your being continues throughout June as you begin to discover the joy of being a fluid and free. Living without definition or shape is a blessing but it’s not for everyone and even you struggle with it at times because you feel like you ought to be like everyone else, but you’re not. You are not a sheep, you do not live your life trying to fit into a box. You are beyond the concept of sheep and boxes as your fluidity allows your consciousness to take you beyond clear-cut definitions: you are a bit like Schrödinger’s Cat, both here and not here at the same time. In other words, you are present as much as you choose to be. You do not aspire to live your life by the societal archetypes and constructs most adhere to even though it makes for an easier life.
By beginning to accept your fluidity, you are letting go of the resistance and opening up to living way and beyond your wildest imagination which is both exhilarating and a little terrifying as you do find a sense of safety by hiding away in the everyday world as it means you don’t have to let go of the safe and familiar. Yet, you are not content in the everyday world, so you have a choice: own your true essence or put up with what you have. This may sound a little harsh, but there’s no point in wandering around the edges of the subject. You are an amazing, vibrant, creative and passionate soul; you are free-flowing, unique and beyond comprehension. You can celebrate this and embrace it or you can choose to be a sheep and baa like everyone else. In many ways, there is no do here, just a willingness to either be or not be…
May’s Mayhem is over in one sense, but its aftershocks will be felt in June and through the rest of this year. One big aspect of June will be the karma shifts and endings, due to the increasing amounts of energy we have been receiving and grounding. Our desire for a shift in the energetic narrative is supported this month, so keep those lights shining because the more brightly you shine, the more energy you are open to receiving. June is a month for releasing those final dregs of the past and using your power of intention to create the foundation for your new 5D life, as Light Beacons. You may see more people leaving your life but they will be replaced as we say good-bye our karmic families and hello to our energetic families.
One big thing that happens in June is Jupiter, which has been retrograde since February, finally goes direct. Jupiter rules philosophy, luck, blessings, religion, law, publishing, and higher thought so its retrograde was a big factor in the decisions we had to make during the last 5 months. We have also had extensive retro activity since January so you may feel extra motivated to start moving forward now, without the baggage of the past.
June also begins with all of the zodiac signs represented, with a planet in every sign, except Virgo. We have double representation in Pisces, with Neptune and Chiron, but I believe that Chiron should rule Virgo and in Pisces it’s the opposite of Virgo so technically we could count that as Virgo (sorry, I digress here). Two planets, Venus and Mercury, will be in their signs of rulership, Taurus and Gemini, making them extra powerful and significant this month. Mars goes into Cancer, a sign where it is not as active (it’s a fire planet in a water sign) but this is great because we have all of the pieces in motion to spread the 5D light around. Think of an orchestra with all of the instruments playing and the loudest instrument (Mars) is being quieted or toned down (not silenced or terminated or eliminated), so it doesn’t dominate the conversation.
Let’s talk about the end of karma, a significant energy in June. More to the point, it’s the end of the energy that supports karma, karmic cycles, and karmic group dynamics. This was our soul mission for this lifetime and we have been working on this assignment for a very long time, with little success. We had engaged our karmic teachers (especially the mother energy) to convince them that ending the karma between us was a good thing.
How did that work out for us? For many, it led to unsatisfying, painful, dramatic, tense, and often very challenging relationships. We tried to ‘love’ our karmic partners into releasing karma, to dim our own lights so we would not outshine them, we tried to include them in our energy by lowering our energy boundaries, but it never worked out as we thought it would.
Rather than being loving, accepting, and grateful for our work, they were resistant, rejected us, and often treated us very badly. We didn’t lose or fail, it’s time for us to approach this from a more energetically sovereign, self-empowered perspective. We will do this in a much different way this month because of two important things.
First, we are at a turning point in our lives, deciding what kind of energy we want to embody and at the point where we can no longer prioritize what others need and want above our own wants and needs.
Second, the energy gaps between those who want to remain in 3D and those who want to move forward into 5D are so big that we can no longer resolve them by lowering our energy boundaries to accommodate others. Once we step onto the 4D bridge, we cannot go back to 3D, we must continue to move forward. We don’t leave anyone behind, we just remove ourselves and our energy from their energy fields so they can make their own choices.
This is not ‘cruel and unusual punishment’, it is another way the Universe works in absolutes and everyone has energetic sovereignty and gets to make their own choices. When we uplift or sustain others with our energy we become their crutch. And they don’t learn to find their own energy source. Once we remove our energy support they have to seek their own sources of energy and they need to, that is part of their energetic sovereignty.
So, what’s going on this month? First is the end to Jupiter’s retrograde, which is big. Next, we have the nodes firmly established in Leo/Aquarius, which began in May but is another step in a cycle from 1997 to April 2000. We began the new millennium with such big hopes and dreams, which have not materialized for us but we had to go through the last 17 years of growth to arrive at where we are now. And the nodes were in Leo/Aquarius on January 1, 2000. It’s a step back into the past so we can take a big leap into the future.
Saturn, the cosmic teacher and disciplinarian, is the big focus this month as it is going to be very active in challenging aspects with all of the personal planets all month. So expect more of the karmic balancing to happen in preparation for the big activity in September, when all of the personal planets, including the Sun, will be in Virgo around the 23rd.
One important astro aspect this month is Mercury’s placement in Gemini, the sign it rules. While it is the sign that rules short trips, communication, and transportation, I have always believed Mercury’s connection to karma is vastly underrated. It governs karma that we begin our life with and we resolve it in the sign of Virgo (which makes Chiron a better ruler of Virgo). But our karmic lessons, the nature of our karma, the people we have it with, all fall in the 3rd house, Gemini, and Mercury. Someday I’ll have to write a book about sign and house energetic resonances and the karmic nature of Mercury.
In Gemini Mercury is going to clash with Saturn, while cozying up to the other planets but don’t be fooled, I think this is more like ‘pickpocket’ energy, where one person distracts you while someone else takes your wallet. Mercury earns his reputation as a trickster and in addition to Saturn’s clash, there will be one with Pluto too. On one hand, this may impact you if you are using too much of your energy to resolve karma by being too ‘nice’. On the other hand, those who are engaging in karma creating activities may find themselves on the receiving end of their activities. It is definitely boomerang time, where the energy you put out comes back at you, make sure you are sending out something you want to receive.
And we have to remember that we still have the ongoing Saturn/Neptune square, which is being activated again with the current Saturn retrograde, as well as the Saturn/Chiron square, another tough transit that continues throughout the year. The Uranus/Eris conjunct is still active and being touched off this month by beneficial transits but that just means that the blast won’t be quite as loud or hit quite as hard (depending on what someone has been doing) – this is an explosive transit that packs quite a punch. Eris represents the soul warrior seeking retribution and is named after the goddess of discord but this is not intentionally creating chaos, it’s a process of righting the wrongs, taking back power that has been abused, and creating a level playing field.
June’s theme or keyword is truth and that means a lot of things. First, it means the truth of your own agenda, what you want from people and why you do what you do with, for, and to them. Are you seeking validation and approval? How is that aligned with the truth of who you are or want to be?
Then it means the truth we want to believe or have present in the world versus what we see in the world, which is another form of truth. This is about the collective truth, what we live with in the world. With so many kinds of truth, how do we know what is ‘true’? It’s all true because, in an unlimited universe where everything is true, there can be no lie. Everything is ‘a truth’ we have to decide what we want to have as ‘the truth’ for ourselves.
Truth is a touchy issue because everyone has their own truth. The best way to use this month’s ‘truth’ theme is to decide what we want to have as our truth in our lives, to get very clear and focused on that truth, and not let anything distract us from it. Expand the energy for the truth you want to have in your life so you receive more and more of it as well as people and situations that resonate with that truth.
If we all agree that peace is our individual truth, then can expand to become our collective truth and war will go away.
If we all agree that respect is our individual truth, then it can expand to become our collective truth and disrespect will go away.
If we believe that energetic sovereignty is our individual truth then it can expand to become our collective truth and control, domination, and manipulation will go away.
Everyone does not have to agree with your truth for it to be true. But when many people hold the same truth, it becomes part of the collective truth. And in the face of that truth, when it is held by many people, everything that is not aligned with it cannot co-exist with it.
We are transcending into ascension, it is not a big leap across the canyon of fear and confusion into the ‘promised land’. It’s a process of moving across the 4D bridge and the farther we go across it, the more we distance ourselves from pure 3D the less we can find in common with it – that’s why so many of our relationships are ending now.
To best use June’s energy, we can decide what we want to be true for us, gather our truth around us and expand that energy into the world. This requires shining brightly – no more dimming our lights. It also requires that we stop looking for agreement from others for what we want to be and start shining that light for ourselves. Shine on! is our mantra and love, peace, joy, and prosperity for all is our battle cry. While it may not be all smooth sailing this month, we have control of the rudder and the sails, so the ship will take us to wherever we want to go. Have a fantastic month.
