Lady Abyss Took A Day or Two Off & When The Cat’s Away The Mice Will Play

Lady Abyss has taken a few days off. My sister, Mystie is busy getting her life back together after the fire. She is still living with Lady A and I think that might be why Lady A took some time off to get away from her. They recruited me to fill in while they are both out. I had to do a name change since WordPress said my old name was already taken. Most of you know me by my old name Lord Myst, now I am using the Gentleman Druid but I prefer the other and will be using it.

Lady Abyss’ has a birthday coming up and every year for her birthday we all chip in and purchase her something nice. She is the hardest, most ambitious witch I know. She works long hours in the service of our Lady and the organization. She is currently negotiating a deal with a syndicated radio network for the WOTC to be featured on. After that, she will negotiating another deal to be a consultant on a new movie that is being produced. I am sure you know her reasons for doing this just as I do. She wants our history and the truth about us being portrayed accurately.

The first year, we all chipped in an got her a beautiful onyx pentagram, last year we got her a beautiful pup after her beloved Kiki passed. As you know the pup was killed in the accident. This year we were baffled as to what to get her. We were talking to the witch who came up from Louisiana when Lady A had her wreck. She mentioned Lady A said something about a bottle tree. Lady A got the idea for a bottle tree after hearing about the history from the witch from Louisiana. According to legend, the bottle tree is placed outside the home. It is a wire frame in shape of a tree. It has branches and on the branches are shiny, glittering bottles. Legend has it, that evil spirits that come out at night and around the home are attracted to the shiny bottles. They get trapped in the bottles and at the first light of dawn, they are destroyed by the light. Swampy (the witch from Louisiana) told her of this legend from the deep South and said it might not be a bad idea for her to get one. Now Lady A is convinced that she needs one for her cabin. Perhaps with the year she has had she just might.

We all love Lady A and this is what we would like to get her for her birthday. We have a picture of what a bottle tree look likes. They aren’t cheap and again, we were wondering if you would be interested in chipping in on her birthday present. Who knows if the legends about the bottle trees are true but we love our Lady and if it will offer her some comfort and peace of mind, then she deserves it. As in the past, the card to her will read from all of the WOTC  and you will know it because she will be over joyed and thank you.

For the next few days, we will be collecting donations for Lady A’s birthday present. The last year hasn’t been kind to her. It would be nice to get her something for her birthday that she actually wants and would be a smile on her face and give her peace of mind.
