The Basics of a Witch’s Altar
An altar is an important element for any Witch and is a space or area that houses a collection of items that have personal meaning or significance to you. An altar is a space you create to enable energies to flow during rituals, ceremonies and spell castings. It also acts as a home for the divine and enables you to have a space in which you can devote yourself to and communicate with your God. Items that are used within your altar should not be used in any other capacity, only use them at your altar.
The altar is created in order for you to have a deeper connection with the divine which is why it is recommended you keep it to yourself and do not show it to others. This is very personal and sacred space and you should treat it with respect.
