Your Daily Tarot Card for Sunday, July 17th is The High Priestess

Your Personal Daily Tarot Card

The High Priestess

The completely feminine counterpart to The Magician, the High Priestess is the Gatekeeper of the subconscious, the unknown. She travels in worlds which most of us only glimpse in our dreams. Her realm is that of unseen truths, untapped potentials, and hidden dangers. The Calling of The High Priestess is to go beyond the obvious and visible to tap those powers which are veiled from normal vision. While she is passive by nature, she has the power to uncover unknown potential and is very aware of the infinite potential all humans harbor within them. She is also very patient. She can wait for events to blossom in their own time.

Get A Jump On Tomorrow…..

Your Horoscopes for Monday, July 18th

General Horoscope

We see a more serious side of life while the Moon moves through calculating Capricorn. Our determination to reach a goal can turn obsessive when the Moon joins unrelenting Pluto later in the day. Although a fantasy-prone Sun-Neptune alignment distracts us with figments of our own imaginations, common sense comes through in the end as a realistic Mercury-Saturn trine reminds us that sticking to the facts creates the most reliable path to success.

Aries Horoscope MAR 21 – APR 19

You believe you can accomplish anything once you set your mind to it today. Although your imagination may run amok, you’re able to harness the power of your ideas as the clarity of your thoughts increases throughout the day. If you feel hyperactive, consciously slowing down your thinking process adds to your productivity. There is work to be done now, and if you focus your mental energy you’ll surely achieve more than you once thought possible. Every success story starts with the decision to try.

Taurus Horoscope APR 20 – MAY 20

You are inspired to work hard today in order to reach your dreams. In fact, you may become singularly focused on proving how serious you can be when it comes to achieving your goals. Mercury’s easy trine to steadfast Saturn encourages you to communicate in a very matter-of-fact manner, helping you to regain any credibility that you recently lost. Just remember that you can’t build a solid reputation on your promises, so get busy before it’s too late. Actions speak louder than words.

Gemini Horoscope MAY 21 – JUN 20

You can discuss delicate matters skillfully today thanks to a winning combination of compassion and tact. An emotionally sensitive Sun-Neptune alignment softens your heart, enabling you to empathize with others. Mental Mercury forms a favorable trine to steady Saturn, helping you bring a vague hope or dream down to earth with a perfect balance between inspiration and practicality. Hold the vision; trust the process.

Cancer Horoscope JUN 21 – JUL 22

Channeling your artistic creativity into something tangible isn’t easy as the moody Cancer Sun conspires with imaginative Neptune. Fortunately, you can rely on strategic thinking and your well-honed skills to capitalize on even your most whimsical thoughts. But don’t expect your visions to materialize on their own. Sharing your best ideas with someone you trust is a good first step toward manifesting your dreams. Intention plus hard work equals magic.

Leo Horoscope JUL 23 – AUG 22

It’s confusing when facts and fiction become so entangled that you can’t tell which is which. Your dreams are powerfully vivid now as the Sun shines upon otherworldly Neptune. But it’s easier to face the truth while interactive Mercury in your sign trines no-nonsense Saturn. Fortunately, you have a solid grasp on both reality and fantasy that you can use to your advantage. Utilizing your imagination empowers you to take your knowledge to the next level.

Virgo Horoscope AUG 23 – SEP 22

You are more confident of your decisions when you’re able to trust your senses. However, you also receive excellent information today directly from your intuition. Don’t discard the wisdom that comes through images and symbols, even if there’s no logic to it. It doesn’t matter if you can’t easily explain how you arrive at your conclusion; ultimately, savvy Mercury’s supportive trine with solid Saturn roots you in reality.

Libra Horoscope SEP 23 – OCT 22

You must act with full honesty and integrity today, or you could become lost in your own dreams. Fortunately, a smoothly flowing trine between clever Mercury and karmic Saturn enables you to navigate the uncertain realms between your imagination and reality. Stretch your perspective to understand how your friends think, but don’t lose sight of your own core values. As the Dalai Lama teaches, “Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength.”

Scorpio Horoscope OCT 23 – NOV 21

Call on your persistence and ingenuity today to turn an elusive dream into reality. Your psychic powers are operating at high volume, but it’s difficult to know how much your intuitive voice should be trusted. Fortunately, a solid trine between cerebral Mercury and systematic Saturn motivates you to unpack the complexity of an issue and drill down to the source. Imagination and common sense work hand-in-hand now. Your unflappable determination will all but ensure your success.

Sagittarius Horoscope NOV 22 – DEC 21

Your logic won’t steer you wrong today as long as you start out with valid assumptions. Unfortunately, you could jump to an erroneous conclusion if you let your current desires influence your long-term thinking. Fortunately, clever Mercury’s favorable aspect with reliable Saturn strengthens your organizational skills and inspires you to create an ambitious plan that can lead you boldly into the future. Proper preparation prevents poor performance.

Capricorn Horoscope DEC 22 – JAN 19

You don’t need the recognition for your work today; completing your tasks on time is its own sweet reward. However, you won’t be as effective if you try to remain a solo act. You could receive additional support and useful ideas from your friends and coworkers when intelligent Mercury trines constructive Saturn. Thankfully, the combination of solid thinking and clear communication helps you manage the complexity of a project so too many cooks don’t spoil the broth.

Aquarius Horoscope JAN 20 – FEB 18

If you’re stuck in a jam today, it makes sense to pursue all forms of communication as a ticket to your escape. But don’t let the potential of a Mercury-Saturn trine go to waste when you could be reinforcing your plans for the stressful days ahead. Thankfully, others will hear your message loud and clear if you take the risk and share what’s on your mind. Open your heart; you never know who you are inspiring with your random acts of vulnerability.

Pisces Horoscope FEB 19 – MAR 20

Although you might be placed in a leadership position today, you could run the emotional gamut from conflict to contentment. You can state your needs and prove your worth convincingly because others believe what you say while stable Saturn harmoniously trines messenger Mercury. It may be difficult at times to focus on the necessary details, but you’re capable of overcoming your tendency to scatter your attention by consciously listening and speaking clearly to avoid wasting time and energy. Communication is a two-way street.

If Today is Your Birthday: July 17

You are versatile and clever enough to wrap your brain around virtually anything you want to understand. You are an odd mix of progressive and traditional, as you can certainly identify injustices and root for the underdog, but you can be very stubborn in your own ways of thinking, balking at change just for the sake of change. You are extraordinarily intelligent and a fascinating conversationalist. You see things through.

Famous people born today: Phyllis Diller, Art Linkletter, Donald Sutherland, David Hasselhoff, Camilla Parker Bowles, James Cagney.

Your Birthday Year Forecast:

Uranus transits square to your Sun this year. With this aspect, any situations that you have felt to be limiting of your freedom will be hard for you to accept any longer. You might experiment with a new look or manner, or simply come off in an entirely new way as you feel your life speeding up. You are not dwelling on the past, and instead, you are interested most in what the future might bring. In the process, you could resent others if they seem to be telling you what to do or think, and you are not especially receptive to good advice. There may be some confrontation with friends, a boss, or a partner that prompts a breaking of ties. Remember that you may be reacting to a bruised ego and you may not be in touch with your deeper feelings before making permanent decisions. It’s possible that you need to move on, but do take the time to make decisions wisely. You might be tempted to throw out practical or traditional considerations for more exciting or stimulating plans. Unexpected changes in plans or events are likely. Although they might be unsettling at times, they could stimulate you to try new approaches, and they certainly act to cut boredom. Your creativity is stimulated this year, but so is your excitability and your need for freedom. You are likely to be more outspoken than usual, perhaps even rebellious. This can be a strong year for artists and for developing skills and talents, particularly along creative lines.

Chiron concurrently transits in harmony with your Sun, however, and this supports you and helps to keep you humble. Projecting yourself with self-respect benefits you. You are especially appealing and charming just by being yourself. Opportunities—both personal and professional—are likely to present themselves as a result. Teaching others may be part of the picture, informally or formally.

Despite personal changes this year, certain elements of your social life and financial life are stabilized, secured, and more reliable. You may solidify a romantic relationship or become involved with a mature partner. Circumstances may be such that you need to handle money more carefully this year, or this may simply come naturally to you now. Support from older people or authority figures may come by way of solid advice or tangible help. Renewed ties to old friends are possible, or a new sense of responsibility in existing friendships.

The year is strong for physical therapy and healing, as well as for having a real sense of mission.

While you can be a little impulsive at times, you aim to be very diplomatic when dealing with others this year. You are not afraid of competition, and can, in fact, find some competitiveness stimulating and motivating, but you tend to achieve much through cooperation. If you can learn to curb your impulsiveness, your insight can be a true asset.

This can be a year in which you are a little bolder, more assertive, and energetic. You are especially interested in setting goals and challenges for yourself this year, and taking the necessary action to meet them. You may meet or interact with others who encourage or inspire you in some way to have more confidence in yourself.

You often have a way with words this year, and verbalizing your feelings can be enjoyable. You can handle people well, and negotiations are favored in general. This can be a good year for dabbling in the arts, furthering a creative hobby or craft, and exploring new artistic interests.

Also, watch for impatience or fits of temper that work against you this year. There may be changes in work schedules, or life’s circumstances could challenge you in such a way that you need to change your goals or actions. This can also be a time when you tend to resist others and challenge them if they are trying to hold you back. Energy fluctuates this year. If you can avoid rash or impulsive moves, you could enjoy more courage than usual to do things that break the routine or clear the air.

Your unique manner of expressing and asserting yourself is in focus and appreciated this year. Suppressed anger is more effectively released in creative ways. Physical healing can help inner healing, and vice versa.

Advances in intellectual and mental pursuits are likely, as you make steady progress that has long-lasting results. It’s a good year in which to get organized, do detail work, and prepare for the future. Work done during this period in your life will have tangible results in the future. Relationships with younger people in your life are solidified.

You might surprise people with the changes you make this year, as they may seem sudden or out of character. You are making bolder moves than usual and you’re unusually resilient. You stand out as particularly personable and talented. Love and social matters can be more reliable and steady. New and exciting experiences are likely, but energy can fluctuate, and impulsive moves should be watched for. This is a strong year for making solid progress in projects or studies.

2016 is a Number Six year for you. Ruled by Venus. This is a year of relative contentment. It is a time when love is the easiest to attract, and partnerships formed under this vibration have a better chance for longevity. You are able to attract others, and material things as well, this year. This is a good year for establishing harmony in the family and in the home. Advice – develop existing relationships, be positive and receptive because these kinds of energies help you to attract what you desire.

2017 will be a Number Seven year for you. Ruled by Neptune. This is a year of preparation, chance, and refinement. It is not a time of dramatic changes. Instead, it’s a year when reflection on the past is helpful, and when refinements to your life path should be made. It’s a good year to study and analyze. Unexpected twists to your life story and “chance” meetings are probable. Advice – take stock of your life in order to prepare for more exciting years to come, examine the past and plan for the future, get in touch with your deepest needs and uncover your personal power, don’t strain yourself or actively try to expand.

Your Daily Horoscopes for Sunday, July 17th

Aries

Aries Horoscope
Aries

This morning can be powerful for activities that promote physical and emotional healing, dear Aries. Opening up about a personal or intimate matter can be especially rewarding. Ceres moves out of your sign today, and while it will return in retrograde motion in mid-October, you can nevertheless benefit from improved practical intelligence as well as a holistic and intuitive perspective to your work and finances now. This is a strong period for tending to your valuables and prized possessions, as well as for saving and stocking up on what you need. Of course, you’ll want to watch for the tendency to hang on to things you no longer need. Even so, this is a good time for discovering those things you value most. The Moon’s position in your sector of spirit until mid-afternoon encourages you to get out and about, after which you’re likely to focus on putting your life into better order.

Taurus

Taurus

This morning is strong for connecting with others intuitively as well as for sincerity in relationships, dear Taurus. Social activities can be reinforcing and pleasing. Helping out a friend or acquaintance can give you a real boost. This is a good time to bond, but it’s also helpful to maturely deal with occasional moments of emotional distance — accepting some ups and downs is an important key to healthy relating. A cycle that begins today places a strong emphasis on nurture and care. Lasting until mid-October, this period promotes interest in taking care of others and yourself. People may be seeking you out for support, comfort, and help under this influence, and you quite readily take the lead. Others are seeing you as especially strong and caring. While you may need to draw up some boundaries if this goes too far, generally speaking, this is a good time for positive body image and personal appeal. Today, the Moon moves into your sector of spirit mid-afternoon, promoting a more involved, active, and open approach to your world.

Gemini

Gemini

This morning, warm connections can be made, dear Gemini. Your dreams and visions can inspire you to work on a pet project or to improve your feelings of security and well-being. A cycle that begins today and runs until mid-October promotes the seeking of comfort and nourishment from some form of retreat — time to yourself to reflect, process, and digest recent events. It’s a good time to dig deep in order to better understand your needs for nurture. For some, this process is turned outwards as you are called upon to support and nurture others. This is also a strong cycle for learning how to use solitude and private time to your advantage and to promote improved mental health. This is a wonderful time for forgiving people and situations from your past, which facilitate emotional healing. Today’s Moon transits, however, can emphasize the need for companionship. Your sleuthing skills are top-notch this afternoon.

Cancer

Cancer

You’re inclined to focus on the “little things” that need attention, dear Cancer, with the Moon continuing its transit of your solar house of habits and details until mid-afternoon. This morning, you’re also in strong shape for gentle challenges. You are especially enterprising and pioneering now. You might come up with an exciting new idea for a new and exciting venture. Motivation to get things done is powerful. Later today, the desire for companionship tends to take over. With Ceres moving into your solar eleventh house today, you begin a strong cycle for seeking out emotional nourishment through group and friend associations. This is also a time when nurturing a dream, hope or wish can be especially exciting. You may be establishing or strengthening connections to groups or causes, looking to friendships for a sense of belonging, and nurturing connections so that they’ll grow and flourish.

Leo

Leo

You approach touchy or complicated subjects with bravery today, dear Leo. Intimate relationships can thrive now. The Moon continues its transit of your creative sector until mid-afternoon, after which you might find that taking care of business satisfies you most. Idling about could, in fact, make you nervous! Also today, a new cycle begins in which you are likely to seek nourishment and emotional satisfaction from your career, responsibilities, or public standing. This cycle that lasts until mid-October stimulates your ambitions and is strong for paying special attention to your work or business. You might enjoy adding flourishes and creative touches to the work you do. You might find yourself taking the lead or mentoring others. You are a particularly good manager at this time.

Virgo

Virgo Symbol/Glyph
Virgo

Conversations can be very useful and revealing today, dear Virgo. You might even discover that writing, whether private or shared, helps you feel better. A feeling of closeness, with your own heart or with someone special, is likely to figure strongly now. The Moon continues to transit your home and family sector until mid-afternoon, after which you’re in a more outgoing, generous, and affectionate frame of mind. Also today, a new cycle begins that encourages you to enjoy adventurous, non-routine activities. It lasts until mid-October and is good for nurturing your sense of adventure, whether this is about broadening your mental or physical horizons. Learning new things, taking trips, or seeking out new adventures can be activities that help you to feel stronger and happier. With loved ones, it’s especially important for you to share personal philosophies and beliefs, as well as to give yourself and others emotional space.

Libra

Libra Glyph-Symbol
Libra

Now is a strong time for putting effort into work and professional goals, dear Libra. You feel equipped to take on a challenge, particularly this morning. A partner or special friend might come through for you today. The Moon continues to encourage taking on many projects and entertaining a variety of ideas until mid-afternoon when it moves into your sector of home and family. Getting comfortable becomes an emotional need. Also today, a new cycle begins that runs until mid-October and stimulates special attention to your inner longings, desires, and needs. You may be seeking richer, warmer connections now, and your approach to love and care tends to be intense. The more subtle elements of your relationships and interactions are especially important to you now. On some level, you may be attracted to crises or intense emotional experiences during this cycle, as you derive more satisfaction from making profound changes and transformations rather than staying within your usual comfort zone.

Scorpio

Scorpio Symbol Glyph
Scorpio

You are ready to take on virtually any challenge today, dear Scorpio. Your confidence is natural, not over-blown, and you’re happy to move at your own pace. While you may be feeling freer, lighter, and more forward-looking, you are bravely facing any deeper issues that need to settling as well. New insights into your relationship needs or a changing attitude towards love can emerge. This is a time for fruitful, exciting connections. Also today, a cycle begins that brings warm, creative, and encouraging energy to your one-on-one relationships. Running until mid-October, this influence is strong for mediating, negotiating, and putting yourself in another’s shoes. You have the ability to improve and nurture your partnerships, and perhaps even assist others to enhance their relationships as well. While you should keep an eye out for a tendency to over-identify with how well you get along with others, this can be an ideal cycle in which to understand a partner and work on growing a relationship.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius Glyph Symbol
Sagittarius

The day is powerful for emotional bravery, intuitive faculties, and intimate relationships, dear Sagittarius. Bonding with family and loved ones can occur through shared activities. Generally speaking, people only see what they are prepared to confront, and today is good for this kind of self-discovery. Romantic relationships can also benefit from this kind of open-hearted approach. The Moon continues to push your emotions to the surface while it travels through your sign until mid-afternoon, after which there is less urgency to take care of your emotional needs. Also today, a cycle begins that promotes attention to work and health matters, and it runs until mid-October. You are more inclined to turn to work, chores, and health routines for sustenance and emotional nourishment during this period. Filling your day-to-day duties and nurturing a routine leave you feeling accomplished, healthy, and fulfilled. You’re also likely to seek emotional reward through helping others, and you’re particularly attentive to your body’s needs.

Capricorn

Capricorn Symbol/Glyph
Capricorn

The morning brings good energy for communicating, connecting, networking, learning, and taking care of business, dear Capricorn. You can learn much from casual conversations, and you’re particularly open to hearing others’ viewpoints. You might find a solution to a problem that has previously left you stumped. The Moon continues its transit of your hidden sector until mid-afternoon when it enters your sign and marks the beginning of a lunar cycle. As every new beginning is in many ways defined by the energy of the moment of its birth, aim for a positive attitude now. Also today, a cycle begins that emphasizes creating, sharing, and listening to your heart in emotionally satisfying ways. Lasting until mid-October, it’s a cycle in which you bring more creativity, flair, and room for self-expression to your life, and these things help you feel nourished, satisfied, and healed. There can be warmer, fuzzier feelings in a romantic relationship for some of you.

Aquarius

Aquarius

You can feel ready to tackle life with a new game plan today, dear Aquarius. You may be enjoying a stronger sense of purpose that fuels energy levels. Ambition increases in comfortable ways, and you’re more willing to put ideas into motion or take action on important matters to overcome obstacles. It’s a good time for attention to practical affairs, largely because you’re less likely to have the blinders on when it comes to problem areas, and you’re seeing financial and work matters more clearly. Healthy competition is motivating now. You are more independent and pioneering than usual. You can inspire others as you naturally take on the role of a leader today. Additionally, a cycle begins today that lasts until mid-October and brings more warmth and nourishment to your home life. You’re geared up to make creative changes and improvements to your home and domestic life, and the focus can be on improved security, comfort, and care. Family relationships can be enhanced now.

Pisces

Pisces

You have creative flair today, dear Pisces, and while you’re often quite content to flow along with the action around you, today you’re more interested in taking the lead and getting things done independently. Even so, you’re in good form on the level of personal appeal. In fact, others might thoroughly enjoy your more confident, take-charge approach today. Outside pressures tend to release today — you’re answering to your natural rhythms. Additionally, a new cycle begins that brings warm, encouraging energy to your communications, studies, and relationships with classmates or siblings. This influence is with you until mid-October and enhances your ability to communicate with compassion and effectiveness, as well as to listen and intuit what others may need. You are taking more interest in others’ lives. You might express your affection by teaching, mentoring, and otherwise supporting others, particularly with knowledge and advice. You might also frequently find yourself in the position of advisor or mediator during this cycle. Learning new things and pursuing personal interests make you happy at this time.

Conventions, Contentions, Contests And Considerations

You cannot prevent the birds of sorrow from flying over your head, but you can prevent them from building nests in your hair. Chinese Proverb

I hope you love birds, too. It is economical. It saves going to Heaven. Emily Dickinson

In almost everything that touches our everyday life on earth, God is pleased when we’re pleased. He wills that we be as free as birds to soar and sing our maker’s praise without anxiety. A. W. Tozer

We are involved in a life that passes understanding and our highest business is our daily life. John Cage

I know why the caged bird sings, ah me, When his wing is bruised and his bosom sore, When he beats his bars and he would be free; It is not a carol of joy or glee, But a prayer that he sends from his heart’s deep core. Paul Laurence Dunbar

The heart of a woman falls back with the night, And enters some alien cage in its plight, And tries to forget it has dreamed of the stars, While it breaks, breaks, breaks on the sheltering bars. Georgia Douglas Johnson

The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased – it’s like we can see in the dark – and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it’s lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there’s magic unleashed with every full Moon.

July’s full Moon in Capricorn occurs on July 19 in the United States and the United Kingdom, and in the morning on July 20 in Australia. This full Moon is smack on Pluto of the US 4th July chart. And, the last new Moon was smack on the Sun of that chart. With the Democratic and Republican conventions happening in the next week or so, the election fevers are set to go up a notch, particularly with the degree of the Sun at the opening of the Republican convention on Cancer 27: A Furious (or Violent) Storm In A Canyon Filled With Valuable Homes (the convention starts the day before this full Moon).

The recent astrological energies have been rather gnarly, especially just lately, and, for many, it feels like a powder-keg of emotions, desires, drives, arguments and disagreements, etc. etc. It’s almost like the energies could not get any more peaked. But, I think they are set to. However, at least now, Mars is moving forward after being retrograde for weeks and weeks in Scorpio (BTW – Mars sat for a few weeks on Scorpio 24: Crowds Coming Down The Mountain To Listen To One Inspired Individual). The movement of Mars will bring some relief, although, it needs to be realised that Mars is traversing the last degrees of Scorpio and the early degrees of Sagittarius – zones that both Mars and Saturn have been highlighting. In other words, Mars still has some clearing of it’s path ahead to do, and, those late degrees of Scorpio, in particular, can be rather challenging with Mars there retracing it’s steps.

Some people will want to make changes in their lives, but, there could be some frustration around how those changes could (or would) come about. This is largely due to the degree of Mars, on Scorpio 26: Indians Making Camp In New Territory, which is, for several days, quincunx Uranus on Aries 25: A Double Promise Reveals It’s Inner And Outer Meanings (I call the quincunx The Itch That Is Hard To Scratch). Mars is, however, in a nice grand-trine aspect with the Sun on Cancer 28: An Indian Girl Introduces Her College Boyfriend To Her Assembled Tribe and Chiron on Pisces 26: A New Moon Reveals That It Is Time For People To Go Ahead With Their Different Projects. Very soon after the full Moon, Chiron, retrograde, moves onto Pisces 25: The Purging Of The Priesthood. This can speak of moving on in many ways:- physically, emotionally, spiritually, etc. There can be a real need to remake or rework our lives with this going on. Still, as mentioned above, there can be frustration, especially if things don’t seem to be moving quickly enough. A ‘purging’ of issues, memories, belongings, relationships, friendships, etc, may be in order. If there is an imbalance of power in play, there may need to be an adjustment of expectations from someone, whether you or another. Mars is also sextiling the full Moon. This can add energy to the ‘when push comes to shove’.

Venus and Mercury are trining Saturn, and this can be great for getting clear on your plans or the things that you want. We can formulate our thoughts and ideas, and, for some, commitments can be made to relationships, work, getting things done, clearing out things to allow a more free-flow of space (and time). Still, Venus and Mercury are quincunxing (there’s that ‘Itch’ again) Neptune, it’s a kind of push-me, pull-you kind of energy that may not be going anywhere particularly useful fast.

A further nudge of letting go is Neptune and the south node moving towards a conjunction, so this is a further impulse to rewrite, change, let go and grow. The trick can be the need to get past addictions that keep us firmly rooted in the past. Meanwhile, Saturn and Neptune are still in a square aspect with each other, so, this can, in some instances, have us dreaming about what we want more than we have the ability to actually make it happen. I finding myself saying more and more often “one step at a time – one day at a time”.

symbols_moon.jpg The Full Moon is on Capricorn 28: A LARGE AVIARY – I feel that this degree, particularly now, at this full Moon, speaks largely of the media; the press, social media, people sharing their thoughts, ideas, political leanings, etc.

This Symbol shows being able to take in a lot of information, to be social, yet have some time alone. The “Large Aviary” has a lot of citizens, all buzzing around, all interacting and full of life. There is a lot of chattering and flitting from one thing to another going on and while there is no harm being done, perhaps, sometimes, there’s nothing much really being achieved. Is this because there is a level of mental confusion happening? At the least there is likely to be a feeling of brotherhood and not being alone, in fact, finding time alone can be difficult.

Keywords: Clairaudience. Hearing many inner voices. Having a huge entourage or crowd. Tinnitus. Enormous activity. Many people living their individual lives in one space. Blocks of flats and units. Housing estates. Birds, aviaries, bird seed. Perches. People chattering. Girls sharing. Lots to say. Little true content. Confined living spaces. Communicating solely with those in the immediate environment. Living in a world of one’s own with no thought of the realities of how other people live. Having to get along with others. Caged birds.

The Caution: Mental confusion bringing a lack of discernment. Chattering, not doing. Gossip and intrigue. False sense of freedom. Abandoned living spaces. Caged birds.

The Karmic Degree for the Moon is Capricorn 27: A MOUNTAIN PILGRIMAGE – this degree can be about ambition, and, I often see it in charts to do with being president, prime minister, leader, etc. This is about striving for the top. It can be about the ‘top office’, or, it can be about climbing to one’s own ‘mountain top’ in a spiritual sense.

This Symbol shows being able to climb high, to rise to occasions, perform well, have a mission and, probably most importantly, to embark on spiritual journeys. Many people travel, but more often than not it implies a spiritual striving; an ascent in consciousness and the ability to transcend earthier, more immediate matters. There is always the desire, or the need, to strive further, to learn more on the path to understanding and transcendence. You may want to follow those that have gone before to achieve a true sense of inner fulfillment. Work towards your own ‘mountain top’. The effort may be great, but so are the rewards.

Keywords: Ascent in consciousness. Spiritual, material, corporate or political striving. Having an entourage of people (or wanting one). Aloneness and separation. Setting off to somewhere else. Going on a mission. Finding one’s spiritual grounding. Getting back to the purer elements of life. Ambitions to get to the top. Wanting the highest office in the land.

The Caution: High moral stand with no depth of feeling. Feeling “high above” others. Cutting off. Aloneness and separation. Haughtiness. Intellectual snobbery. Untouchable.

The Quest Degree for the Moon is Capricorn 29: A WOMAN READING TEA LEAVES – the need or the desire to ‘know’ can be incredibly strong now. We might find ourselves ‘looking for the signs’ more than we might normally. People are itching to know what’s going to happen.

This Symbol shows being able to see things that others miss or using the intuition in order to receive the gifts that divination can bring. While others just see something simple like a tea cup, you can have the ability to weave a story for yourself and others about how life will, or can, be. One has to put aside skepticism and embrace trust and intuitive knowing in order to be able to listen to the messages that are around. Be open to seeing meaning through the catalyst of the simplest of everyday events. You will receive messages, if you are open to ‘seeing’ the signs. You may have to deal with skeptical people.

Keywords: Symbolism opening pathways to the spiritual center. Seeing the signs. Seeing signatures in small things that others miss. Intuition and clairvoyance. Creative visualization. Tea leaves and coffee grinds. Non verbal cues. Rituals. Tea and sympathy. Fathoming the depths of simple things. Predicting the future. Seeking guidance and changes of fortune.

symbols_sun.jpg The Sun is on Cancer 28: AN INDIAN GIRL INTRODUCES HER COLLEGE BOYFRIEND TO HER ASSEMBLED TRIBE

This Symbol implies that you may find yourself bridging the gap between situations or people that are inherently foreign to each other or previously unknown and unexplored. By bridging the worlds between people, you invite richness into your life and the lives of others that may not have been possible if you’d stuck to your culture, your ethnicity, your own side of the tracks. It is your deeply felt understanding of both situations and the respect with which you are held in both situations that makes their mutual acceptance possible. This is about opening your heart to find the rewards that are waiting.

Keywords: Challenging or going against the status quo. Bringing in a new, more intellectual, element OR bringing in a more natural, earth-based attitude. Being the odd one out. Revealing strange, foreign situations or truths to others. Accepting people without judgment. Being welcoming and loving. Clans. Tribes.

The Caution: Upsetting people with alternative behavior. Choosing people who won’t fit in. Ignoring tradition. Judging people by social standards. Prejudice. Barriers. Rebellion.

The Karmic Degree for the Sun is Cancer 27: A VIOLENT (OR FURIOUS) STORM IN A RESIDENTIAL CANYON FILLED WITH VALUABLE HOMES – in the last week or so, we’ve had Venus and Mercury traverse this degree. It’s been a time where we can feel that we can’t contain ‘The Furious Storm’. This, as mentioned above, is the degree of the Sun for the opening of the Republican convention. I hope that common sense prevails and that things don’t get as riled up as they are looking from this vantage point.

This Symbol implies that you may find yourself much deeper in situations than you had planned, but you find yourself restrained by the walls about you and the turbulence happening in and around you. Strong emotions or events may be unleashed and there may be no escape from the turbulence that is around. The best thing to do is wait it out and protect your self the best you can. In fact, endeavoring to contain the energy could result in more damage. Things will settle down and peace will reign once more. Arguments and emotional confrontations emerge as a result of the ‘pressure cooker’ environments in modern-day living.

Keywords: Arguments and emotional confrontations. The “pressure cooker” environments of modern-day living. Psychic energy unleashed. Furious emotions. Changing the status quo. Bad weather and its consequences. Rebuilding from the foundations. Living in canyons. Being surrounded by mountainous peaks. The awesome power of nature.

The Caution: Wrongly believing that you are in control of an uncontrollable situation. Enjoyment and promotion of emotional storms and turmoil. Whipping things up. Storms.

The Quest Degree for the Sun is Cancer 29: A GREEK MUSE WEIGHING NEW BORN TWINS IN GOLDEN SCALES

This Symbol shows the ability, or the necessity, of being able to weigh up seemingly similar things and being able to make distinctions between them. In a creative or intuitive way you may be pressed into making judgments and decisions, but the elements of your judgment are, in many ways, exactly the same. The choices can be confusing because they essentially lead to the same result. This situation is probably brand new; maybe the answer lies in taking an intuitive ‘punt’, or waiting for the solutions to become more clear-cut.

Keywords: Comparisons and similarities. Weighing things up. The law and lawyers. The Scales of Justice. First communion. The value of new beginnings. Grand gestures. Ceremonies. Looking for subtle aspects. Balances. Using the intuition. Weighing up pros and cons. Hesitating before making decisions. Subtle discriminations of differences. Measured responses. Inspiration. The gift of prophecy. Patrons of the arts. Ponder. Fairness. Equality. Meticulous attention to detail. Evaluations.

The Caution: Judgmental opinions about things that are essentially equal. Being nit-picky. Constantly weighing things up instead of just accepting them. Tipping the scales.

The Sun symbolizes: One’s core center, spirit, heart, issues to do with father, men, self, ego, your male side. How you radiate your sense of being. What others see, how you are recognized or remembered, sense of identity and connection with male energy – yours and others.

symbols_mercury.jpg Mercury is on Leo 12: AN EVENING LAWN PARTY OF ADULTS

This Symbol shows having fun, relaxing and socializing with people, usually in an informal setting, although this can sometimes imply formal ones. Give the rigors of the work routine a rest. Having a drink, eating some food, sharing a chat and gossip, meeting new people, networking and catching up with friends is good for the soul. Relaxation is great, especially where there is no need for pretense. Of course, you may be the host of the party and you may have to provide a venue, food, drinks and entertainment. Still, you should get to enjoy the moment and mix with people.

Keywords: Rising above superficiality into receptivity and peace with others. People mixing in a social setting. Sedate and conservative celebrations. Formal events vs. impromptu gatherings. Gossip. Leisure time. Political correctness. Enjoying socializing. Being a good conversationalist. Drinks and food on platters. Knowing who to invite.

The Caution: Superficiality where things are known but not said out loud. Appearance and social standing too important. Ignoring or evading issues. Political correctness.

Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.

symbols_venus.jpg Venus is on Leo 10: EARLY MORNING DEW SALUTES THE SUNLIGHT

This Symbol shows the relief, joy and motivation that can come from going through cold and difficult times, even dark struggles, and waking up to things being “sunnier”, warmer and full of promise. This is a time when the “air” (the newly awakened mind) is crisp and the “ground” (the refreshed and renewed body) readies itself for a new round of activity. The rewards may be transitory, so enjoy the good times and salute the more difficult periods as times of testing and learning. The nights may seem very long but there is always the reward of dawn as the sun rises again on a brand new day.

Keywords: Refreshment after periods of “the long night of the soul”. Dawn meditations bringing new starts and new inspiration. Dew. Water dripping from trees. The dawning of a new day and the relief that it can bring. Changing of the guard. Natural progression. Inheritances. Exhalted feelings of release. Droplets on spiderwebs.

The Caution: Not letting go of difficult situations. Persisting with problems that have been solved. Feeling that the worst is going to happen all the time. Depression.

Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.

symbols_mars.jpgMars is on Scorpio 26: INDIANS MAKING CAMP IN NEW TERRITORY – Mars on this degree (a Scorpio degree) can be rather confrontational, or, at least, there can be a feeling of not being ‘safe’ or ‘welcome’ in one’s new territory. Migrants and/or refugees would tend to have a rather tough time with this going on, and, some who are not migrants nor refugees may almost feel as though they are (in some sense).

This Symbol implies being able to, or having to, be in “New Territory”. Once a new place has been found, there is the need to acclimatize, adjust quickly and settle in. This new territory can be in a physical, emotional or spiritual framework. Whichever, you need to feel at home in an inner and outer sense. You may feel a creeping sense of unease if you find it hard to relax in the new environment or that the rug may be pulled from under your feet. You may also be someone who moves often in life, sometimes before you were able to get a sense of belonging or having friends. However, there is likely to be a pioneering or venturing spirit.

Keywords: Settling in. Walk-ins. Having to learn the rules of being in a new environment. The need for freedom to live one’s life as one wants. Concerns with territory. Immigration. Migration across countries. Gathering things together for family and community needs. Tents. Shelter. Co-habitation. Revering and protecting the environment. Setting up camp. Going walkabout. Squatters. Respecting boundaries. Reservations.

The Caution: Moving into or invading people’s territory. Putting up with things when one should move. Barging in. Having to compromise living space. Arriving unannounced.

The Karmic Degree for Mars is Scorpio 25: AN X RAY PHOTOGRAPH HELPS WITH THE DIAGNOSIS – with this degree around, we definitely want to look into things to find answers. On top of that, this Symbol can show a feeling, or the reality, of being ‘spied on’… someone observing, taking notice, snooping around, etc. Investigations into situations can bring answers, although, vested interests may not want to admit or own up to what is being found out.

This Symbol shows being able to see into areas or realms that others generally don’t take any notice of. You may find yourself looking for a deeper understanding of situations and you need to peel away the layers in order to get to the truth of the matter. You may need to employ both the emotions and the intellect. Ask yourself: what do you want to find and what is being done to reveal the structure or the nitty gritty of situations? Looking inside for clues. Being able to see through layers into the reality of things helps you to be able to make a “Diagnosis” – dia which means “by”, and gnosis which means “knowledge”

Keywords: Penetrating insight. Piercing through external appearances. Pure understanding. Incredible insight and revelations. Having the eyes to see. X-ray machines, spying, detective work. Reaching conclusions. Evaluations. Photographs. Negatives. Radiation. X-ray vision. Expensive and up-to-date equipment. Chemotherapy. Mammograms. Scanning equipment. Finding causes. Paparazzi.

The Caution: Disregarding the truth. Invading people’s mental, physical or psychic space. Being intense and meaningful. Not knowing when to relax. Undressing others.

The Quest Degree for Mars is Scorpio 27: A MILITARY BAND MARCHES NOISILY ON THROUGH THE CITY STREETS – with all that’s been happening, I imagine that this degree is rather self-explanatory.

This Symbol shows the need for occasionally making a show for society to remind ourselves of our successes and achievements, whether they are collective or personal achievements. The “Military Band” can make an enormous amount of noise as it “Marches Noisily”, but sometimes we need to be woken or reminded of the cohesion that a military band can show. Likewise, this can show someone that likes to bang their own drum or to make a big noise about themselves or for the establishment. As long as the audience is ok with this display, one can contain the reaction from others. Sometimes, though, people get annoyed by people banging their drums a little too loudly.

Keywords: Making music to rouse people from complacency. Noisy announcements. Demanding attention. Trumpeting achievements. Reminders from the authorities that individuals are often not in charge. Celebrations of past battles. Corporate advertising. Peace rallies or war marches. Marching and drills. Precision movements. Baton twirling. Drums and trumpets. Spit and polish.

The Caution: A lot of volume that’s too pompous. The message getting lost in the noise and fanfare. Demanding to be heard. Propaganda. Threats to peace. Banging one’s drum.

Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.

symbols_jupiter.jpg Jupiter is on Virgo 20: A CARAVAN OF CARS HEADED FOR PROMISED LANDS – the desire to move on.

This Symbol shows the desire of moving on to new thoughts, new lands, new ways of doing things, possibly even on to a new way of life. Setting out on a venture can lead you to “Promised Lands”, even if it’s sometimes somewhat risky to leave the safety and stability of home to strike out for unfamiliar destinations. Whether you are with someone or going alone, you are probably not really alone as there are likely to be others who share the same impulses. Having a map of where you’re going helps, as will a willingness to meet new people. The trick is often in deciding where the “Promised Lands” are and what you’ll do when you find them.

Keywords: Venturing into life with like-minded companions. The support of others in a quest for the future. Seeking new territory. Rallies and caravans of cars. Exchanging money. Commerce. Buses, caravans, trucks, etc. Leaving behind the known for the unknown. Gypsies. Hollywood. California. “Boom” towns. The “magic bus”. Conferences.

The Caution: Forsaking the individual path in favor of the less satisfying, but more secure, common path. Ever perpetuating restlessness. Crazy goose-chases..

The Karmic Degree for Jupiter is Virgo 19: A SWIMMING RACE – running one’s race seems to be a rather lonely pursuit. However, it is by not looking left or right that we have the opportunity of performing our personal best. Ambition is in the air with this degree around…

This Symbol implies the nature of competition, wanting to win and doing one’s best. Whether it’s working hard to achieve the win for rewards in the larger picture – your school, club, country, etc, or winning the race for your own personal ends, this Symbol shows that if you put your head down and go for the objective, you have a good chance of winning, or, at least, of being in the race. You may find yourself in competition over emotional issues or working through things to do with relationships and hoping to win, or come out on top. It is through training, practice and the controlled use of your physical energy and emotions that success can be achieved.

Keywords: Looking sideways to see how others are coping with the strain of competition. Competing with one’s emotions. Capitalism. The striving for first place or greatness. Swimming, sports, competition. Wanting to be first at everything. Learning how fit one is. Concentrating on the goal. Medals and awards. Training and practice. Showing your abilities in front of others. Of all human powers operating on the affairs of mankind, none is greater than that of competition. Henry Clay

The Caution: Allowing the competitive spirit to dominate emotional sensitivity. Always going for “the win”.

The Quest Degree for Jupiter is Virgo 21: A BASKETBALL TEAM – after the ‘Swimming Race’, we now have the need to play for the rules of ‘the team’. We have to pull together, to throw the ball at the right time so others may score the goal. Just being in things for personal gain may not work so well in the days ahead. Teamwork is needed, otherwise there may be a feeling of having dropped the ball.

This Symbol implies joining with others and working as a team to achieve common aspirations. You may be into doing things by yourself, but you’ll still have interactions with others who will mould how you do things and how you’ll perform. There is a need to cooperate and play by the rules of the game to achieve your goals. Friends and those with similar interests will be able to join with you to achieve a mutually desired end. Are people hogging the ball, not passing it on to others? If so, that won’t secure a ‘win’ for you or for the team. How would a referee call that?

Keywords: The give and take of unity and equality. Everyone getting to play the game. Joyful participation. Friendship and sport. Fast footwork. Winning and losing. Being in the team. Playing fair and square. Coaching and practice. The need for a level playing ground. Uniforms. Codes of behaviour and play. Locker room antics. Individual commitment to a group effort—that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work. Vince Lombardi

The Caution: Forcing others to compete on the same level without regard for differences. Finding it difficult to play by the rules or cooperate with others.

Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.

symbols_saturn.jpg Saturn is on Sagittarius 11: IN THE LEFT SECTION OF AN ARCHAIC TEMPLE, A LAMP BURNS IN A CONTAINER SHAPED LIKE A HUMAN BODY

This Symbol implies seeing the body as being ones “Temple”; something to be honored and given respect, exercise and good nutrition. It also pictures linking the spirit and the body. Logic is not always involved in this equation – this mostly speaks of emotions, spirit and physicality. Sometimes we need to remember to be ‘in our bodies’ and this shows the rewards that can come from regarding our body as our temple. There’s a need to sleep and exercise when we need to, to eat when we need to; to be alive and happy. However, if taken too seriously, one can forget to nourish their mind, preferring to concentrate on physical attributes and forgetting about other possibilities.

Keywords: Connecting the left and right sides. Working out, physical fitness and exercise. Yoga. Grounding reality. Sexuality. Realizing that body is the same as spirit. Remembering to be in the body. Light workers. The acceptance of the body and its functions. Sport and its physical rewards. Metabolic rates. Oil burners. Gas lamps. Aladdin’s lamp. Sometimes our light goes out but is blown again into flame by an encounter with another human being. Albert Schweitzer

The Caution: Being caught up in the illusion of the “physical self”. Worshipping the physical body at the expense of the intellect, psyche or spirit. One’s fire going out.

Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.

symbols_uranus.jpg Uranus is on Aries 25: A DOUBLE PROMISE REVEALS ITS INNER AND OUTER MEANINGS

This Symbol shows that what at first appears to be may reveal itself to actually be something else. Simple promises can be more complicated than first thought. The rational and emotional responses can conflict with each other; one wants something, the other wants something else. However, this can be the way to really view things, from an inner and outer perspective. Also indicates the choice that arises – of the heart and of social obligation. Realize the implications of expectations and promises.

Keywords: Rewards, but what do they bring with them? The possible implications of or reasons for any promises. Something that may look good on the outside, but prove to be difficult. Looking for consensus. Possibilities and promises. The ins and outs of situations. Not turning up. The need to look at situations from all sides. Internal vs. external realities. Catch-22 situations. Contracts.

The Caution: Fickleness, insincerity and two-facedness in human relationships. Promising more than can be delivered. Not turning up. Having hidden agendas.

Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or ‘different’. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.

symbols_neptune.jpg Neptune is on Pisces 12: AN EXAMINATION OF INITIATES IN THE SANCTUARY OF AN OCCULT BROTHERHOOD

This Symbol shows passing the tests that life, other people, spirituality or karma throws at you. You are likely to find at times that you are being judged by those above or around you. It is difficult to see what their qualifications to judge you are, but this is often the nature of progression through the ranks. People being critical of one another can lead to better behavior, better performances or the like, or it can lead to feeling judged, violated and intruded upon. It can seem as though our lives are like lessons; we are periodically “Examined” to see how we are doing on our course. Be careful not to shut yourself away to avoid being seen or having to endure criticism.

Keywords: The ordeal that comes to any initiate for entrance into higher realms of being. Hermits. Tests, examinations, having to prove oneself. Being judged or being judgmental. Being crossexamined. Rarefied atmospheres that demand personal sacrifice. Initiations. Proving courage and purity. Trials. The attainment of knowledge. Apprenticeships. Being a candidate. Finding out how and where one fits in. One-eyed dedication. Trial by media. Cults. Rituals.

The Caution: Refusing advice. Arrogance. People saying ‘I told you so’. Invading other’s space. People assuming they know the truth about someone. Failing. Scandals. Stories.

Neptune symbolizes: Mystical, “out there,” spirituality and con artists. Dreams, mysteries, mystics and religious issues. Intuition, clairvoyance, seeing into the invisible. Addictive, chaotic, charming, deceptive, illusory, co dependent, sensory awareness.

symbols_pluto.jpg Pluto is on Capricorn 16: SCHOOL GROUNDS FILLED WITH BOYS AND GIRLS IN GYMNASIUM SUITS

This degree shows being vibrant and alive and in the physical body with enthusiasm and excitement about life and the future. The “Gymnasium Suits” shows the need to get active and to stay active, to have time in your life to drop into the physical body and enjoy it. If you’ve been neglecting your physical well-being, it is good to reestablish that affinity with your vitality. Spontaneous enthusiasm and the joy of being ‘alive’ can regenerate and revive and bring about carefree contact with like minded people. The trick is to bring some form of physical discipline into your life while enjoying it and not feeling forced to do what you don’t want to do.

Keywords: Developing muscular coordination. Sexual energy, attraction or satisfaction. Playing, marching, competition, rivalry. Singing songs of unity. New anthems for the young. The search for identity. Being able to accomplish things on the physical level. Physical fitness. Uniforms and uniformity. Gymnasiums. Exercise equipment. Conscription. Being one of many. Learning how to get along with the opposite sex. Bodybuilding. Level playing fields.

symbols_chiron.jpgChiron is on Pisces 26: A NEW MOON REVEALS THAT IT’S TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GO AHEAD WITH THEIR DIFFERENT PROJECTS

This shows being able to see, or to accept, when it’s time for people to move on or to part from each other. They need to “Go Ahead With Their Different Projects” – their focus has changed and, quite possibly, they’ve parted ways. There’s a picture here of new beginnings. People will have their own response to situations – not everyone will react in the same way. It can be a good idea to direct some energy into your desires or projects at the time of the new moon. Light a candle and state your intentions with honesty and love.

Keywords: Diversifying. Applying talents in a different direction. People splitting up and splitting off. New opportunities and potentials. The beginning of a new age. Letting go of the old and outworn. Separations. Embracing one’s future without the need for others. Coming to a fork in the road. Divorces. New jobs, directions and destinies. The dawning of a new era.

The Caution: Not giving emotional support. Feeling split off and alone. The fear and loathing of separation. Failing relationships. Overthrowing the old too quickly. Fickleness. Having no choice but to let go.

The Karmic Degree for Chiron is Pisces 25: THE PURGING OF THE PRIESTHOOD– this, also, is interesting in the light of the political machinations in the United States, the United Kingdom and in Australia. It’s all happening. ‘The Priesthood’ has seen a lot of musical chairs happening.

This shows seeing through those who hold important positions yet abuse trust or those who make great claims but don’t live up to them. At this time, you’re likely to find yourself leaving others behind, kicking them out, or experiencing falls from grace. Periodically, there is a need to examine moral and spiritual sincerity. It is easy to allow those who don’t really belong to stay because of familiarity or habit. We can lose sight of the ideal through our rationalizing intellect, ego and emotive passion. There is a need to cleanse and purify your life, leading to better spiritual values. What side of the “Purging” are you on? Are you the one with the ‘right motives’? Who’s in charge?

Keywords: Revealing the truth of people for who and what they truly are. Cutting people off. Throwing out things that don’t measure up. Forced retirement and redundancies. Payouts at the end of employment. Dismissals. Opting out for moral reasons. Being fired. Holes left where someone took up a lot of space.

The Caution: Battles over spiritual direction. Abusing authority. Whistle blowing. Damning others. Deceiving, lying or misleading. Corruption and scandals. Burning books.

Chiron symbolizes: Our wounds, Chiron is known as The Wounded Healer. The wounds are really The Stories That We Tell Ourselves, it is where we have to focus on healing, it can show things that are out of shape or misplaced or in need of repair. What are the stories that you tell yourself?

symbols_north_node.jpg The Moon’s North Node is on Virgo 14: FINELY LETTERED NAMES AND MYSTERIOUS LINES ARE SEEN; IT IS A FAMILY TREE – healing around family issues can be key here, as can additions to families with new people being introduced, babies born, finding long-lost cousins, etc.

This shows deep and abiding connections that come from families and their ancestors and individual family trees. There is a need to feel somehow linked with ancestry, a place or belonging. However, this can speak about you belonging to the larger human family – we are all related. Being able to call upon the deeper inherent knowledge within yourself and what’s been learnt from past experience, possibly from one’s ancestral roots, will help you find great strength. This implies a strong family heritage, but it may come from having a deep connection with people or things that you are not actually related to, but are in your “Family” nonetheless.

Keywords: Strength in tradition. Belonging to a lineage. The story of where one comes from. Issues of pride of heritage. The importance of parents and family. Branches in databases. Family Bibles.

The Caution: Disassociation or disconnection from family history. Feeling like an alien. Not belonging. Orphans.

The Karmic Degree for the Moon’s North Node is Virgo 13: A POWERFUL STATESMAN OVERCOMES A STATE OF POLITICAL HYSTERIA

This Symbol shows the ability, or the necessity, to be able to calm situations, to solve a crisis, to have a steady hand that shows others that someone is in charge. If this is not operating on a positive level in your life you may want to assess where you need to be doing it. Sometimes our thoughts get out of control, even “Hysterical”, however this is not much use as emotions and events just get whipped up, leading to useless energy flying around. It is through control and the power of your personality that you can resolve situations and bring back a state of equilibrium to all involved.

Keywords: The power to sway the mob. Having the charisma and talent to turn situations around. Elements of personality that get out of control and take over. Pulling the rope tight. Mind control. Political savvy. Knowing what to say and when to say it. Keeping your mouth shut and ears open. Rhetoric. Putting out spot fires. Being motivated. Issues of success.

The Caution: Misusing charismatic energy to sway others to personal advantage.

The Moon’s North Node symbolizes: This is known as quite a ‘karmic point’ (although all planets and points in a chart can be’karmic’). One’s destiny in this life. The things you are meant to integrate, move towards, become. Destined relationships and relationship issues can show up here.

symbols_south_node.jpg The Moon’s South Node is on Pisces 14: A LADY WRAPPED IN FOX FUR

This shows being able to present an image that shows intelligence, cleverness, glamour and beauty, along with knowing how to move in social circles. The “Lady Wrapped in Fox Fur” is someone who’s sure of themselves, able to bend to situations and have situations bend to their own desires. It often shows getting out of, or into, anything they want. You can present an image that enhances your position in society. Intelligence and wit will probably see you through, with others noticing your beauty, grace or intellect. If, however, the guise was stripped away, would you still express the same qualities? You may have to display your capabilities because of negative prejudice, chauvinism, or being underestimated.

Keywords: Outer expressions of real inner worth. Animal magnetism and attraction. Intelligence and its display. Cloaks of feminine wit and sexuality. Beguiling minds. Animal totems and furs. The Karmic Degree for The Moon’s South Node is Pisces 13: A SWORD, USED IN MANY BATTLES, IS NOW IN A MUSEUM

This shows knowing when to stop battling in life, when to lay down one’s “Sword” and take up a higher position that reflects a more intelligent or spiritual way of being in the world. Sometimes, when reminded of the battles of the past, we are influenced towards actions that ensure peace. We are uplifted by the symbolic memory of past deeds of valor, although stings of defeat may be part of the story. You may be faced with the choice of fighting or reasoning which is confused by your lack of training or experience in the ways of “Battle”. Don’t go down with the ship. It helps to lay down one’s ‘sword’ – not in order to surrender, but to stop the ‘warring’

Keywords: Willpower. Martial arts. Putting aside thoughts of vengeance and revenge. Hanging up or laying down one’s ‘Sword’. Trophies of conquest that remind us of the past. History. Aging and maturing. Retirement. Remnants of battles. Souvenirs of the past. “Words as swords”. The Spear of Destiny. The Sword Excalibur. Disarming weapons. The search for truth and justice. The Quest Degree for The Moon’s South Node is Pisces 15: AN OFFICER DRILLING HIS MEN IN A SIMULATED ATTACK – this degree can show ‘false flag’ attacks on any level. We can imagine that things are going to happen, are happening, need to happen, etc, when, really, the real story is different from that which we might have thought.

This shows being well rehearsed, prepared and ready for anything that life throws at you. When
you’re well rehearsed, you are able to spring to attention when situations warrant it. You may feel that you need to rehearse or prepare for difficult situations. There is wisdom in practicing to reduce the chance of error or failure. However, are you going over and over possible positive or negative outcomes thereby losing the joy that can be found in relaxing and letting down your guard? Sometimes the things we think are going to happen don’t happen at all. Choosing where, when and how to be ready and willing to go for objectives is half the battle.

Keywords: Taking orders to better respond to situations. The higher self training the lower self. Exercises. Marching and going through the motions. The need for defense. Seeing ahead. Planning strategies. Fire drills. Smoke alarms. Being prepared. Issuing orders and expecting them to be followed through. Discipline. Martial arts of all kinds. Going over and over possible outcomes. The Moon’s South Node symbolizes: Past karmic patterns to be overcome, can be habits that are good, but can describe things, relationships, issues that you need to let go of, or, hold you back from manifesting your true destiny. Relationships that feel karmic and difficult, memories from the past.

Just A Note…..

In case you are wondering, we are moving super slow because of our Internet Provider Service. We had a hard time getting connected, now we are having a hard time staying on. That is another reason we wanted to have the fund raiser so we could afford to go back to Comcast. It seemed they were the only ones that could provide us with the speed we need to provide you with the service you deserve. But anyway, if we do a vanishing act, you know why, a lousy ISP!

Oh, did you know we added a new item to the raffled? Still plenty of time to get in on. So take a look….

Got to go while we still have a connection,

Love ya,

Lady A

Earth Element — Too Much or Too Little

Earthed Power
When we’re balanced in earth, we feel competent, and able to progress toward tangible goals. Earth helps us be embodied — in our bodies — to revel in sensuality, luxuries and natural pleasures.

Earth is one of the four elements — the others are fire, water and air — and each one is important for your sense of well-being. Earthy people are practical, and need to carefully suss out a situation themselves, rather than take someone else’s word for it.

The Zodiac signs of the earth element are Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo.

Capricorn is cardinal earth — a sign of authority and tradition.

Taurus is fixed earth — a sign of stabilizing, fertility and craft.

Virgo is mutable earth — a sign of wholeness, purification and service.

The earth element is experienced through sensation and physicality. It’s oriented toward moving through life with the five senses. An earthy person needs time to feel things out in a way that makes sense.

You can find out how much earth you have by looking at your birth chart.

It’s rare for charts to show zero planets in earth — most people have a mix of elements.

The earth in our natal chart helps us make our dreams real. It connects us to the bodily pleasures like touch, taste and smell.

Earth is the revelation of artful things and beauty through sight and hearing. It’s the element that helps us find traction to build our lives.

I went through a time, when the only thing that calmed me was to lie down in the park. This is a way to ‘ground’ your energy, and also be held by the earth. Some earthy types don’t feel right, if they don’t put their hands in the earth at least once a day.

Earth signs are builders, artists, sensualists, nudists, naturalists and practical thinkers. If you’re low on earth, surround yourself with earthy allies who can help you keep it real. A feature of earth is slowing down to nature’s rhythm, and also having strong instincts for natural laws.
When there’s too little earth,

You can be spacey, unable to grasp reality.
You may struggle with everyday things like bills, rent, etc.
You may have great ideas, but not know how to plan out the steps to achieving them.
You may be disconnected from your own body.
You may be touch deprived.
You may spend too much time in “artificial” environments.
It may be hard to think in concrete terms.
Money could be a source of frustration for you.

Ways to feel “earthed”

Go barefoot when possible.
Spend time sitting on the ground.
Spend more time outdoors.
Exchange massages with a friend or your beloved.

Garden
Work with the earth as a sculptress or potter.
Learn handy skills like auto or home repair.
Become a foodie, and sample the many tastes and textures out there.
Experiment with aromatherapy.
Try out different body-based healing modalities.
Keep your day uncluttered, give yourself some time to relax.

Other ideas:

Give yourself some creature comforts, like a cozy robe or slippers.
Become a naturalist, able to identify wild herbs and ‘shrooms in your area.
Spend time in a wild, natural place.
Be kind to your body.
Listen to your body’s aches and pains.
Get plenty of rest.
Set small, do-able goals that lead to your big one.

Profile of the Moon in Capricorn

Moon Capricorn guys and gals are willing to hold out for something better. They are patient, and that gives them an edge, as they build up what’s emotionally secure.

It’s an earthy Moon that is intimate with what’s right there in the vicinity. The emotional life is also sensual, and feelings are tied to the very real engagement in the physical.

The Capricorn Moon wants a steady home base, and may be tradition minded. They want self-mastery, and carry a sense of the loner with them, for that reason.

The Moon Capricorn’s place in the birth chart — the Moon’s house position — shows where this highly controlled force can show itself. Since Capricorn relates to achievement and status, it tells the story of your life’s work, too.

Capricorn Moon does best staying close to nature, which is an epic challenge in our times. If you’re overwhelmed, go out into the forest, or lie in the park fully prostrate on the ground. Try earthing, which is basically going barefoot.

You find balance when you listen to your body, and follow your instincts about what’s authentic

The Gifted Actress (or Actor)
Astrologer Kevin Burk notes that the Moon is an awkward fit for Capricorn, in astro lingo it’s in detriment. The cardinal force here comes through in what feels like too strong a dose, and others react.

In his book Understanding the Birth Chart, Burk writes, “The Moon in Capricorn is like a gifted actress who, after being savaged by the critics because she has a tendency to overact, becomes afraid to show any emotional range at all.”

Moon Capricorns are happy when pursuing their profession of choice, and that’s where some of this force can find a channel. But many come off as mature and restrained, or even all-business, because they want to stay in control.

Serious Moonlight
Stability is a big deal for earth sign Moons, making Capricorn Moons more no nonsense when it comes to feelings. It’s not that they’re unfeeling, but they don’t want to feed into another’s beliefs about victimhood, or their dependency.

They admire self-mastery, and feel out of control, if they have to depend too heavily on others. This is hard on them, and they’ll work hard to overcome patterns of co-dependency.

Some might not understand their fixation on material matters, but this is how they create balance. Many are big achievers because of their natural instinct for working toward attainable goals.

They’re in it to win it, and willing to give up short term gratifications for the end goal. Some have a hard time kicking back, and taking it easy. Being an earth sign Moon, they’re sensual, and will unwind when all senses are engaged.

The Capricorn Moon might not warm up to you until you’ve proven worthy of their time. They’ll likely assess you through the lens of how you can further their worldly ambitions. It may not sound romantic, but it’s better for them to integrate the will to succeed into relationships.

Their inner world might seem musty and dark at times, which they try to cover up with dry humor. A Capricorn Moon that slips into melancholy can seem immovable and will likely only re-emerge when they’ve found a goal worth building brick by brick. They’re happiest with a dream in process, since they’re not likely to enjoy idle time. You might just find them spending their free time coming up with investment strategies to assure a well-funded future.

The social life of a Capricorn Moon can lead toward private gatherings with family and friends. Once a relationship tie of any kind is formed, they’ll prove to be loyal and generous with their resources. For them, building a romantic relationship is serious business that shouldn’t be rushed into. What they lack in initial passion, they make up for in trustworthy endurance for the long haul.

Keywords:
ambitious, disciplined, stable, traditional, responsible, determined

The Shadow Side:
dogmatic, negative, materialistic, melancholic, stern

Magical Days Of the Week – Sunday

In many traditions of Paganism, days of the week are very important aspects of effective spellcasting. For example, spells to do with abundance or prosperity could be done on Thursday, because it is associated with riches and desire. When casting a spell concerning business or communication, one might prefer to work on a Wednesday due to its associations.

While not all traditions follow this rule, when you’re doing any sort of magical working, always be sure to document the day of the week you’re performing the spell.

You might be surprised later on to see some connections!

Sunday Magical Correspondences

Sunday is associated with the colors yellow and gold, which shouldn’t be surprising – it’s the day of the sun, right? Because of this planetary association, this is a day that’s also connected to solar deities like Helios and Ra. Interestingly, in some Celtic traditions, Brighid’s day is Sunday as well.

When it comes to crystal use, Sunday is related to quartz crystals and diamonds, as well as the yellowish hues of carnelian and amber. For herbs and plants in magical workings, use marigolds, sunflowers or cinnamon.

What kind of magic is best performed on Sunday? Well, it’s a day that generally has a number of associations – agriculture, beauty, hope, victory, self-expression and creativity are all connected to this particular day. Plant or harvest something new (not just material crops, but metaphysical ones as well), create something from nothing, and prepare to win at everything.

The Witches Sunday

The Witches Sunday

Sunday is the day of the week between Saturday and Monday. In the Judaeo-Christian tradition it is the first day of the week. Since the second half of the 20th century it has often been counted as the seventh day of the week. In Slavic languages Sunday (undividable day – referencing seven) is both the first and seventh days of the week. It is first because Wednesday is literally the “middle” of the week, while it is seventh because Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are literally the “second”, “fourth” and “fifth” days of the week. It is named after Sunne, German goddess of the sun, which is where the word “sun” also derives its name.

Sunday is considered a holiday in most countries of the world and as part of the weekend. Only countries influenced by Islamic (or Jewish) culture often have Friday (or Saturday) as a weekly holiday instead.
The Gregorian calendar repeats every 400 years, and no century starts on a Sunday. The Jewish New Year never falls on a Sunday. Any month beginning on a Sunday will contain a Friday the 13th.

In Thailand, the color associated with Sunday is red.

The name Sunday
The Sun was assigned to this day in pre-Christian Egyptian culture. (See T. Slater’s article “Sunday” in the 1908 Catholic Encyclopedia.) In Ptolemaic Egyptian astrology, the seven planets, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury, and the Moon, had an hour of the day assigned to each in that order, but the planet which was “regent” during the first hour of any day of the week gave its name to that day. The Egyptian form of the seven-day week spread to Rome during the first and second century when the Roman names of the planets were given to each successive day.

Germanic-speaking nations apparently adopted the seven-day week from the Romans, so that the Roman dies Solis became Sunday (German, Sonntag), likely in reference to the Germanic sun goddess Sol. The Christians reinterpreted the indigenous name as implying the Sun of Righteousness with reference to his “arising” (Malachi 4:2) [citation needed]. It was also called Dies Panis (Day of Bread), because it was an early custom to break bread on that day.

The Hindi word for Sunday is Ravivar, with Ravi being the Sanskrit name for the sun.

The first Christian reference to Sunday is found in the First Apology of St. Justin Martyr (circa 150 A.D.). In a well-known passage of the Apology (Chapter 67), Justin describes the Christian custom of gathering for worship on Sunday. “And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits . . .”, he writes. Evidently Justin used the term “Sunday” because he was writing to a non-Christian, pagan audience. In Justin’s time, Christians usually called Sunday the Lord’s Day (because they observed it as a weekly memorial of Jesus Christ’s resurrection).
Sunday has also been called “the Eighth Day” (because of the Roman Catholic belief that Christ’s resurrection on the day following the seventh-day Sabbath is a portal to timeless eternity that transcends the seven-day weekly cycle).

Tirgul de fete de pe Muntele Gaina (Romania)

AMARI DE

Themes: Arts; Humor; Relationships; Love; Fertility; Wealth; Health; Beauty

Symbol: Light

About Amari De: In Romania, Amari De is a Gypsy goddess who is the great mother of all things and the personification of nature. According to lore, she bestows wealth, health, beauty, love, fertility, and insight to those who seek her. Descriptions say that she was so holy that a divine light always shone from her face.

To Do Today: A Transylvanian folk festival, this fete was originally a marriage fair where young people came looking for partners. Over time the custom faded, and now it is simply a crafts, costume, and musical exhibition with lighthearted satire and nightlong bonfires that glow with Amari De’s light. In keeping with this tradition, if you’re planning a wedding or engagement, today would be a wonderful date to consider for either, as it draws Amari De’s positive energy to that relationship.

This is also a good time for single folks to get out and mingle, carrying an Amari De love charm along for a little extra help. Find a little piece of luminescent cloth (like a fine silk that shines) and wrap it around a pack of matches. Bless the token, saying,

Amari de, bring love my way!

Ignite one of the matches before going into a social situation so Amari de can light your way!

Sunday, July 17

Traditionally, Sunday is the first day of the week. It is also known as the Lord’s Day from it original association with the Lord, that is, the Sun God, personified as Helios, Apollo, Ogmios, Mithras, and St. Elia. But in the Northern Tradition, the sun is seen as feminine, personified as the goddess known as Phoebe in East Anglia and Saule in eastern Europe. The sun rules the conscious element of the human being, the ego, the real self, and Sunday is the day on which this conscious power is at its most effective.
