How to Construct Your Own Spell

Creating a spell can be as simple as constructing a poem or an essay for a special purpose. When constructing a spell, you only need to follow 12 simple steps. You will also need to take out your favorite pen and the Book of Shadows and come up with the perfect spell for your intention.

First, you need to set up the ritual area and gather the tools that you need. You should also think about the design or blueprint of your ritual as well as the intention for creating the spell. In this step, the first section of the spell is your intention or purpose. You should be able to define clearly what you desire or what you need to achieve with the spell you are about to create. It is advisable to write the words you want to state during the ritual so that you do not get mixed up with the words. You can create as short as a 4-line verse explaining your intention. You may opt to have rhyming words although it is not a primary requirement.

Your second verse should include casting the energy of your desire or intention to the universe. The last verse, on the other hand, should define the reason behind the casting, say, for spiritual knowledge, sharing your love, or healing.

Example of a Love Spell

“I set forth my heart and wish,

for a loving honey of a dish.

I send out my desire for love,

upon the divine wings of a dove.

To share my spiritual need and

life,

with a precious woman/man who will

be my wife/husband/significant other” or

“with honor and respect to be his/her

wife/husband/significant other”

Example of a Spell for
Employment

“My goal is sure

my need is strong,

help me find where I belong

To meet my needs,

employment I seek,

bring me success by the end of the

week.”

If you wish to invoke a specific element, make sure you discern the best that will represent as well as balance the energy you want to create. When you have already decided which element to use, choose an object that will represent the energy the best.

When reciting your spell, visualize your desire or intention. This is similar to the principle of the famous scientist, Albert Einstein, which states that using your imagination creates energy. In other words, making use of your thought is equal to visualizing what you desire. A spell makes your thoughts even more powerful. When you say the words while visualizing your desire, it increases the energy to your ritual.

You can use any tool or object that you desire during the ritual, which you think is needed to cast the spell. Some of these tools include candles, matches, stones, tape recorder/ player, music, Book of Shadows, and a pen among others. Make sure you have a list of the things you wish to use so you would not miss out on anything when you are already in the Circle.

Just like invoking the elements, you also want to decide which deity you want to invoke. Naturally, you need to select an instrument or object that will represent the deity you want to invoke within the ritual. In addition, you should write the words for prayer or blessing to invoke as well as honor your desired deity.

When constructing a spell, decide where you will conduct your ritual, which is usually dependent on the availability of physical resources and the nature of the environment. Your ritual area should be clean and should provide you with privacy for at least 30 minutes to an hour. Furthermore, choose a ritual space where you will feel most comfortable.

Finally, make sure you discern the time for performing your ritual. There are several factors that can be affected by timing. For instance, if you are calling upon a deity, make sure you discern the time of the day, night, week, or month. Deities have specific timing conditions for them to be invoked. You should also decide to perform the ritual in conjunction with a specific location of the sun or phase of the moon.
