Midnight Shield Spell
Nettle, one of the main ingredients of this spell, can be used to strengthen and reinforce magical shields. It also warns of dangers in advance, which can help you stay safe and protected. In this spell, you will use the powers of nettle and clove to build a magic shield to protect you from negativity. Nettle is available at health food stores, herb shops, vitamin stores, and the Internet. You can also harvest it if you have a ready supply nearby.
Gather together thirteen cloves, dried nettle tea, and a handheld mirror.
At midnight, draw a magic circle and call in the elements. Hold the cloves in your hands, and put them, one at a time, clockwise around the inside of the circle. With each clove you put on the ground around you, say:

May you guard this circle tonight.
Next, sprinkle the nettle herb over the mirror. As you do, say:
Midnight shield so bright, reflect only
positive light.
Then sprinkle some of the nettle herb clockwise around the circle on top of the cloves. As you do this, repeat:

Imagine being surrounded by a powerful magic shield. Fashion it in your mind in a shape you like, and decorate it accordingly with runes, symbols, precious stones, and so forth. Visualize and sense all the negative energies being repelled by your shield. Actually imagine them bouncing off the shield and returning to their origin.
Now, face north, hold the mirror in front of you, with the mirror side facing out. Say:

protection
Halt all negative energies moving in
this direction
Send those energies back to their
source
And heal all pain and fear along
their course.
Next, face east, hold the mirror in front of you, mirror side facing outward, and repeat:
Midnight shield of power and
protection
Halt all negative energies moving in
this direction
Send those energies back to their
source

course.
Face south, hold the mirror in front of you, and repeat:
Midnight shield of power and
protection
Halt all negative energies moving in
this direction
Send those energies back to their
source

course.
Face west, hold the mirror in front of you, and repeat once more:

protection
Halt all negative energies moving in
this direction
Send those energies back to their source
And heal all pain and fear along their
course.
When you are finished, bid farewell to the elements and pull up the circle. Put the mirror on your bureau or dresser or desk to repel all negative energies.
