My mother was placed on a ventilator (a machine the helps a person to breath when they are having a problem for some reason or used as a protective measure in some cases) late Saturday morning. This is a preventive measure to protect her airway because she had a few seizures. The doctors think they were caused by one of the antibiotics they had her on that has been discontinued. They are hoping to be able to remove her from the ventilator either late today or sometime tomorrow depending on whether seizure activity starts again as they wake her up from the chemically induced coma.

Lady Beltane will not be accepting any new students until her mother is doing better. For my novices in case you didn’t get the email I sent yesterday — I am accepting your lessons but it may take me a little while to answer them or regular emails depending on what is going on with my mom.
