Ain’t it a beautiful picture, lol! Just as long as you haven’t been waking up to it for the last week. I am trying to think what is my favorite season right about now, hmm, Summer!!!! I shouldn’t complain though about two years ago and about this time of year too, this area was struck with the ice storm from hell (a little contradictory, ok from Alaska). We were without power for ten days and I know others that didn’t have power for a month. My daughter lives up in a National Forest in Illinois and they are doing good to have running water. Anyway, the storm hit she had just got off work and then like a little dummy she drove home. I tried to talk her out of it but no she had to go home and feed the livestock and of course it probably wasn’t that bad up there. About thirty minutes later, she called and said she was coming to the house. She said she couldn’t even get down her gravel road at all. Then she got here and wanted to know why we were too cheap to turn the lights on. I asked her, “What lights?” So we sit around the old candle fire and mumbled sweet nothings to each other the rest of the night. Bad Flash Back, Bad! Back to present time, I can’t stand the cold and neither can my cat. I don’t care what it is, if he thinks it is a blanket, quilt or anything to warm you, he is following you all over the place. So I have found a blanket, bundled up at the computer and here comes trouble. My other baby thinks we are crazy, she is a teacup Pomeranian. So to her, this feels good. She watches the cat drive me crazy till I say something. I don’t care if it is just as simple as I have got to get another cup of coffee, she is eating the cat up. The cat doesn’t appreciate her efforts to warm him up and get his blood flowing. Now as far as poor me goes, all I have is thermal socks, long johns, a sweatshirt and a ski mask, lol! I hope you aren’t in a Arctic Freeze somewhere.
