Jupiter Retrograde (November 7th)

Jupiter Retrograde

Seek inner wisdom as giant Jupiter spins back

Tarotcom Staff Tarotcom Staff on the topics of retrograde planets, Jupiter, cancer, astrology

Enthusiastic Jupiter, the happy-go-lucky planet of expansion and growth, slows down and turns backward in the sign of Cancer just after midnight on Nov. 7, 2013, lasting until March 6, 2014.

During this time, we may not feel as optimistic about things, and our plans to tackle big new ideas or endeavors will slow and perhaps stall. But Jupiter is a philosophical planet, so we can still use this time to contemplate our beliefs and expectations, and re-examine where we’re headed.

We all have inner wisdom if we take the time to listen to it, and Jupiter Retrograde encourages just that: Take a time out, slow down and listen to your inner voice. What is it telling you to do? It should be easier to hear now.

Do you like your job? Are you happy in your relationship? Have you been fooling yourself about something? Jupiter Retrograde asks those kinds of questions, and gives you more than three months to think about the answers before going direct.

Even while retrograde, bountiful Jupiter wants to help you figure out how to grow and change and become the best version of yourself. Use this time wisely — it’s a gift!

Sensitivity and service are highlighted by September’s Full Moon

Jeff Jawer  Jeff Jawer on the topics of pisces, moon, horoscopes, full moon, astrology

It’s time to embrace compassion! The Full Moon in Pisces on September 19, 2013, operates on faith, while the opposing Virgo Sun prefers facts. Yet what these signs have in common is a sense of service.

This Full Moon reminds us that we don’t have to be precise to be helpful and that sometimes making an error with a loving attitude is more beneficial than perfect behavior done with a scowl.

When Pisces compassion combines with Virgo skills, we have the best of both worlds.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Spiritual awakening and creative inspiration are potential gifts of this Pisces Full Moon. But it lands in your 12th House of Escapes, which means that you could benefit from taking more breaks from your daily duties and concerns. Seek quiet places in the world to find tranquility in yourself. But this is not peace that puts you to sleep; it’s an ocean of imagination that can take you to more exciting places.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

The compassionate Pisces Full Moon occurs in your 11th House of Friends and Groups, making you a more sensitive and caring ally. Allowing yourself to be supported by others doesn’t make you weak if it helps you do your job and assist your community. But if you’re already sacrificing personal interests to benefit others, make sure that you save some of that love, time and energy for yourself.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Your sharp mind and quick wit are major professional assets, but this sensitive Pisces Full Moon in your 10th House of Vocation shows that how you feel about your work is as important as what you think. Finding inspiration in your job is possible if you unclutter your head with facts and tune in to emotions — that will help you tap into imagination and faith that take you further in your career.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Dreams of faraway places are awakened by this magical Pisces Full Moon in your 9th House of Travel and Higher Mind. Studying a subject that touches your soul will take your further than mere academic exercises. Broaden your horizons by planning a trip, connecting with people in distant locations or reading about exotic locales that bring more imagination and beauty into your life.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22)

The forgiving Pisces Full Moon lights up your 8th House of Deep Sharing, providing insights into your relationships. Personal and professional partnerships flourish when you are caring, compassionate and working with people who also have these qualities. Use your intuition, because reason alone will not supply the answers you seek to questions about love, intimacy and business alliances.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22)

The imaginative Pisces Full Moon opposes the Sun in your precise sign, challenging you to overlook details to feel a bigger picture than cannot be seen by intellect alone. It occurs in your 7th House of Partners, where it can trigger crises in existing alliances but also open doors to people and possibilities with others. Compassion and big dreams are key to making connections that will satisfy your soul.

Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22)

Work can be exhausting if you can’t find meaning in what you do. That’s because this revelatory Pisces Full Moon is in your 6th House of Employment, where it stirs up strong feelings about your job. Getting more rest is one way to keep your competence and confidence high. Yet getting inspiration from a hobby or taking on tasks where you can use your imagination will recharge your batteries.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)

You could be flooded with romantic feelings with this dreamy Pisces Full Moon in your 5th House of Love. Expressing yourself in poetic, imaginative and creative ways are other means for riding these inspirational waves of energy. You’re ready to show more tenderness and expose some of your vulnerability because these are effective ways to appear more attractive and bring others into your life.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)

This tender Pisces Full Moon lands in your domestic 4th House of Home and Family, where it signals a need to pay more attention to your personal life. Spending more time at home and relaxing in peaceful places will bring insights into your past that will make you more excited about the future. But there’s less need to push yourself ahead now because quiet times and contemplation reveal fresh sources of inspiration.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)

Looking at the world around you with less critical eyes will reveal much more than logic now. This intuitive Pisces Full Moon occupies your 3rd House of Perception and Communication, making you more sensitive to what you see, say and hear. Tender conversations and the freedom to fantasize are not distractions but are sources of inspiration and faith that give your life more meaning.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)

Insights into income opportunities come with this sensitive Pisces Full Moon in your 2nd House of Money. This lunation could awaken old dreams about work that touch your heart. The path to a better cash flow comes from creativity and imagination now, so make sure you don’t set aside fantasies that might not appear to be practical but which can lead you to greater prosperity.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20)

The Pisces Full Moon touches your 1st House of Outward Appearance. It could inspire you to be more creative in your look and in the ways to you connect with people. But it can also increase uncertainty about where you stand with others. Be gentle with yourself, nourish your dreams and forgive any mistakes you’ve made. Others’ criticism counts less than attending your own needs now.

Mars opposite Jupiter, Venus in Libra & Mercury in Sagittarius

Sunday, Oct. 28

Three significant planetary events make this a very dynamic day. In fact, all of them are moving in positive directions. Active Mars’ opposition to expansive Jupiter increases optimism and encourages risk-taking. Aim high but avoid spreading yourself too thin. Sociable Venus’ entry into her airy home sign Libra adds grace and enhances artistic abilities. The famed peacemaking qualities of this transit encourage harmonious alliances. Cerebral Mercury rockets into Sagittarius to emphasize long-term visions. This alignment supports the enthusiastic Mars-Jupiter opposition but could be overly optimistic in its thinking and excessive in its actions. Promising more than can be delivered or falling short of goals can be prevented by putting all the small pieces in place to give big plans the solid foundation required for success.

Mercury in Aries: Watch Your Mouth!

Mercury in Aries: Watch Your Mouth!

Brace yourself for fast talk and even speedier thoughts

Tarotcom Staff on the topics of mercury, astrology, aries

Mercury is the sprightly planet that impacts how we think and how we express ourselves. Are you ready for fast talk and even speedier thoughts? Brace yourself: Mercury is moving back into always-on-the-go Aries on Monday, April 16 at 3:42 p.m. (PDT) / 6:42 p.m. (EDT), lifting us out of a dreamy daze in how we perceive the world and people around us. As Mercury transitions from peaceful Pisces to bold and brash Aries, our minds and our words will get less poetic and more action-oriented.

Aries is a Fire sign known for being impulsive, so be careful what you say! Comments might come out of your mouth before they’re fully formed, giving them a tinge of sarcasm or even an edge of insult — whether you intend them to or not. And even if we think we know the full impact of our words, there’s the danger that we haven’t thought far enough ahead about the effect they’ll have on those we care about.

At the same time, Aries is the first zodiac sign — literally, a true leader in Astrology. Our thoughts and speech could become more courageous, yes, but more than that, this pioneering sign could make us more innovative, too. It will be easier to think of fresh, brilliant solutions to nagging problems as we receive rushes of fresh inspiration. And with rebellious Uranus in Aries, too, we can really expect this innovative energy to fly off the charts.

But catch this inspiration as fast as it comes, because Aries is not known for being patient. In fact, it may be more difficult to complete everyday tasks if they lack the flavor of excitement.

Here are some tips to embrace the best parts of Mercury in Aries:

Don’t…

…get too caught up in the excitement of the moment; reconsider any commitments you’re about to make.
…allow yourself to get trapped in an argument, because neither you nor your friends or lover will be in the most logical place to resolve an issue.
…jump into too many new things at once.

Do…

…enjoy the fresh perspective you’ll experience when the no-holds-barred warrior sign takes control of your mental life!
…apply your taste for adventure and desire for new experiences to shake up your daily routine.

Your Daily Love Horoscopes for the Week of October 10th

The language of love grows deep, dark and smoky with passion and mystery as interactive Mercury enters intense Scorpio on Thursday. Each word weighs heavy with meaning that can draw two hearts closer together, or wound them with caustic remarks. Even playful comments can sting when they hit sensitive targets, so place kindness above cleverness now.

Aries Horoscope
Aries Horoscope (Mar 21 – Apr 19)

Friday looks mellow with the Moon’s presence in slow and easy Taurus. But the rest of the weekend will be jumping after the Moon dances into chatty Gemini and your 3rd House of Communication on Saturday morning. Flirting innocently and joking around can be a major source of entertainment, especially if you are single. However, a more romantic environment is one in which you quiet down and discuss grown-up issues to let someone special know the real you.

Taurus Horoscope
Taurus Horoscope (Apr 20 – May 20)

The Moon in your sensual sign on Friday increases your desire for pleasurable delights. Overestimating someone’s feelings or overindulging your own appetite for fun could be costly. Stretching the boundaries of what you’ll do and who you’ll spend time with is great as long as you don’t go to extremes. Consistency of values and feelings, though, may be harder to find on Saturday and Sunday with the Moon in fickle Gemini. Have fun, but don’t count on anything you hear to be the absolute truth.

Gemini Horoscope
Gemini Horoscope (May 21 – Jun 20)

Take Friday off to relax without any undue pressure or unrealistic expectations. A little break prepares you for the heightened degree of activity that arrives when the Moon moves into your adaptable sign on Saturday morning. You’re buzzing with ideas and your head might be spinning with too many things to do. Take a deep breath and think about what you really want. Making the right choices in your personal life appears to be your major challenge this weekend.

Cancer Horoscope
Cancer Horoscope (June 21 – Jul 22)

Going out with friends should be extremely satisfying on Friday night with the Moon lighting up your 11th House of Groups. However, you’ll probably prefer more private forms of socializing during the rest of the weekend after the busy Gemini Moon slips into your 12th House of Privacy on Saturday. Getting away from the noise by yourself or with one quiet and undemanding individual should provide the peace that you’re seeking to clear your mind and heal your heart.

Leo Horoscope
Leo Horoscope (Jul 23 – Aug 22)

You may find yourself in a familiar leadership position on Friday as others depend upon you to set the social agenda. Being a good friend and teammate by sharing authority, though, is more important during the rest of the weekend with the Moon’s visit to your 11th House of Groups. Going out with pals should be exhilarating, but volunteering for an organization could be an excellent way to do good work and connect with someone who shares your values.

Virgo Horoscope
Virgo Horoscope (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

The Moon buzzes into busy Gemini on Saturday where it perches at the top of your chart. This lunar placement is great for attracting lots of attention, but can also weigh you down with professional responsibilities. Instead of taking things too seriously, demonstrating your ability to adapt and be lighter in your approach makes you more attractive. No matter the pressures you might face now, there’s still some room for the fun and frivolity you need to keep your heart open.

Libra Horoscope
Libra Horoscope (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

On Thursday and Friday the Moon’s presence in your 8th House of Deep Sharing can stir up some strong feelings about what you’re getting and what you’re missing in your relationships. But you can’t help but smile on Saturday and Sunday with the Moon brightening your adventurous 9th House and expanding your social horizons. Connecting with people from faraway places or participating in cultural and educational events that open your head and your heart will take your mind off your romantic worries.

Scorpio Horoscope
Scorpio Horoscope (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

The Moon in earthy Taurus and your 7th House of Partners attracts stubborn people on Thursday and Friday, but the sweet touch of a patient person can make the extra effort worthwhile. On Saturday morning, the Moon flits into fluttery Gemini to provide plenty of mental stimulation. However, inconsistent individuals or your own vacillating feelings make it challenging to know what to expect in an intimate relationship. There’s no need to make promises if you’re unsure of what you want.

Sagittarius Horoscope
Sagittarius Horoscope (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

The slow pace of others could be annoying later this week, but that will change dramatically on Saturday morning when the Moon enters your 7th House of Partners and the entertaining sign of Gemini. You may be stimulated by a variety of events, but can also find it challenging to deal with someone who can’t stick to a subject or commit to a long-term plan. Keeping things light makes room for fun right now without having to worry about the future.

Capricorn Horoscope
Capricorn Horoscope (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Thursday and Friday can be so delicious that it’s best to set aside your sense of responsibility so that you’re free to play to your heart’s delight. The sensual Taurus Moon’s presence in your 5th House of Romance recommends a bit of self-indulgence, making pleasure more important than productivity. Saturday and Sunday, on the other hand, can be filled with distractions that make it hard to settle into a comfortable groove. Do your best to relax and adapt by keeping your sense of humor in good working order.

Aquarius Horoscope
Aquarius Horoscope (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

The best strategy would be to take care of business during the week so you are ready to play on Saturday and Sunday. The mood-setting Moon in flirtatious Gemini brightens your 5th House of Romance, which makes pleasure a top priority. Don’t take yourself too seriously now because this lunar transit isn’t about sticking to rules or following a rigid plan. Pretending that you don’t have to think about tomorrow allows you to feel funny, flirty and free.

Pisces Horoscope
Pisces Horoscope (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

This weekend is not the ideal time to make a major personal decision. The Moon enters chatty Gemini on Saturday, which is excellent for talking freely but not for arriving at accurate conclusions. Sure, you may feel uncertain and unsettled, but if you can process these emotions without committing to any specific action, you’ll discover a wider range of options to choose from in the future. Plus, taking your mind off your worries increases your chances for having fun right now.
