This day of the week is dedicated to the moon and all of her magic and mystery. Mondays are for women’s mysteries, illusion, prophetic dreaming, emotions, travel, and fertility.
Some suggestions for Monday enchantments would include:
*Getting outside and looking for the moon in the heavens. Sit under her light and absorb a little glamour. Call on the moon goddess Selene for practical help in magical issues.
*Invoking the god Thoth for wisdom and insight
*Empowering your silver jewelry under the light of the moon. Wear moonstone or pearl jewelry today to add a lunar and magical shimmer to your outfit.
*Be mysterious and subtle and wear moon-associated colors such as white, silver, and blue.
*Working spells for safe travel with a simple moonstone
*Gathering bluebells, jasmine, gardenias, or white roses to create a little garden witchery with the flowers that are associated with the moon
*Setting up a lunar Tarot spell today to increase your psychic powers
*Eating a lunar fruit such as a melon to be healthy, serene, and at peace
*Brewing up a cup of chamomile or mint tea and enchanting it for sweet dreams and restful sleep

The sacred day of the Moon, personified by such goddesses as Selene, Luna, Diana, and Artemis. The Moon is ruler of flow affecting the changeable aspects of people. If a full moon falls on a Monday, its powers are at their most potent.
Magical aspects: peace, sleep, healing, compassion, friendships, psychic awareness, purification, and fertility
Monday is ruled by the moon – an ancient symbol of mystery and peace. Monday is a special day for mothers as the cycle of the moon has long been associated with the female menstrual cycle. Those wishing to conceive a baby would be wise to try on a Monday as the magic of motherhood is strong and pregnancy is in the air.
This is the proper day of the week to perform spells and rituals involving agriculture, animals, female fertility, messages, reconciliation’s, theft, voyages, dreams, emotions, clairvoyance, home, family, medicine, cooking, personality, merchandising, psychic work, Faerie magic, and Goddess rituals
The Moon is traveling through Capricorn today. Make a list of goals. Work overtime. Climb higher. Don’t sulk.
We become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead with a Capricorn Moon. We are instinctively aware of the limitations of time and motivated by a desire for success. Achievement and manifestation are more important to us now. We are resourceful and don’t want to waste time, energy, or resources. This can be a somewhat sober influence, but it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the eye.
The Moon in Capricorn generally favors the following activities: Long-term activities that yield slow but steady results, practical undertakings, career issues, making a business plan, practical investments.
Monday is named after the moon. The Latin term for Monday is Dies Lunae (“moon’s day”); in the Old English language, this day was Monandaeg; in Greek, it was Hermera Selenes. All of these different names and languages translate to the same thing: the “day of the moon.”
Working with the different phases of the moon is an important skill that takes a bit of time for Witches to learn. So why not cut to the chase and experiment with the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon in all of its magickal energies and aspects?
Magickally, Monday encourages the lunar energies of inspiration, illusion, prophetic dreams, emotions, psychic abilities, travel, women’s mysteries, and fertility.

Book of Witchery: Spells, Charms & Correspondences for Every Day of the Week
Ellen Dugan
Think for a moment on all of the witchery, magick and enchantments that you have discovered. Don’t be afraid to adjust spells to suit your own specific needs. Any gentle, illusory, and dreamy charms and spells can be enhanced when you work on the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon. Mondays are a fantastic day to boost your psychic abilities and to tune in to your intuition and empathy. It also gives you the opportunity to work with a different lunar phase each and every Monday, which means in one month you could work four different types of moon magicks on Mondays. How’s that for adding to your repertoire? You are going to have mad skills in no time at all.
So light up those lunar scented candles and add a little mystique to your outfit by wearing an enchanting lunar color. Wear your sparkling silver jewelry and maybe add a pair of dangling silver earrings or a pendant shaped like a crescent moon. Create lunar potions and philters; make a dream catcher and give it as a gift to someone you love. Burn some sandalwood or jasmine-scented incense today to inspire the glamour and magick of the moon. Slice up a favorite variety of fruit that is in season for a snack or share it with your love and enjoy his or her lunar and romantic qualities. Brew up a cup of chamomile tea, enchant it with a little moon magick, and relax and get a good night’s sleep.
Most importantly, get outside tonight and watch the moon for a while. What phase is she in? What color was the moon as she rose? Why not start a journal and write down at what location the moon rises and sets for a few seasons? This is a great way to teach you to tune in and to become more aware of the moon and the influence that she pulls into our lives. Try calling on Selene for her magickal assistance, and call Thoth for wisdom and strength. Get to know the Norse Mani and the Latvian Meness. These gods of the moon have plenty to teach, and if you allow their influence to cycle through your life, you’ll receive many blessings. Be imaginative, and create your own personal lunar magick and witchery. Go on….the moonlight becomes you.

Book of Witchery: Spells, Charms & Correspondences for Every Day of the Week

Areas of Influence: Selene was moon Goddess of the ancient Greeks and influenced the lunar cycles. She was traditionally worshipped on the full and new moon.
She was the Titan personification of the moon itself unlike the later moon Goddesses Hekate and Artemis.
Origins and Genealogy: She was daughter of the Titans Theia and Hyperion and had two siblings Helios (the sun God) and Eos (the goddess of the dawn). She had a number of lovers, most famously falling for the mortal Endymion. In this affair she is unable to come to terms with the fact that he would age and die.
A spell was cast on Endymion to grant him everlasting youth by placing him into a deep sleep. This did not prevent the Goddess from visiting him and having fifty of his children (This number represents the number of lunar months between each Olympiad).
This Goddess also had a daughter Pandeia after an affair with Zeus.
This serial seductress is also linked to Pan who gave her the Oxent that drove her chariot.
Strengths: The personification of the moon, passionate.
Weaknesses: Fears abandonment and is unable to be faithful to either men or Gods.
In art this Goddess is shown with a very white face with a crescent moon crown or cloak.
She rides a silver chariot pulled by winged white horses or oxen.
The Full moon.
Sacred Plant: Selentrope.
Roman Equivalent: Lunar.
The Lover
Represents passion and selfless devotion to another person. It also extends to the things that make our hearts sing, like music art or nature.
The shadow aspect is obsessive passion that completely takes over and negatively impacts on your health and self esteem.
Selene is a seductress and has numerous lovers. Her obsessive love for Endymion’s beauty leads her to place him into a deep sleep to preserve his youthfulness.
Please follow this link to the Archetypes page to discover which other Goddess Archetypes resonate with you.
The Lover
You may be drawn to this stereotype if you are looking to attract a new lover or to re-ignite the fire in an existing relationship.
The Lover can also be a useful tool to discover what you are passionate about in life.
On the shadow side you need to ask, whether the amount of energy and time you are putting into relationships, or enthusiasm for projects is excessive? If this continues for too long you are likely to suffer from stress and physical ill health.

Rice Festival (Korea)
KWANSEIEUN
Themes: Luck, blessings, harvest, cleansing, kindness
Symbols: Fish, willow, gold items
About Kwanseieun: This Korean goddess of goodness, courage, and fortune listens carefully to our needs, intending to meet each with compassion. Art sometimes shows her riding a fish, giving her associations with fertility. In other depictions she bears a Wilow branch and gold necklaces (lunar and solar symbols, respectively), indicating the diverse powers she can use in answering our prayers.
To Do Today: In a festival similar to that held in Japan this month, Korean farmers go about the task of ensuring an abundant rice crop today. To draw this abundance and Kwanseieun’s blessings into your life, follow Korean custom and wash your hair today. This cleans away ill fortune. Change the type of rinse you use to mirror your goals. For example, rinse in Kwanseieun’s fertile aspect by using pine-scented water. Making these rinses in very easy. Just steep the desired aromatic in warm water, as you would a tea, then refrigerate and use as desired.
Wear gold or eat fish today to commemorate Kwanseieun and activate her positive attributes in your personality. For example, wear a gold necklace to communicate with more kindness, or wear a gold ring to remind you to extend a helping hand to those in need.

The Big Dipper, a full Moon, and other great things to look for in the sky this week.
By Richard Talcott
Monday, June 12
Observers of the outer solar system get their first good views of Uranus before dawn during June. The best time to look for it is shortly before twilight begins around 3:30 a.m. local daylight time. Uranus then lies 10° high in the east among the background stars of Pisces the Fish. This morning, use binoculars to find the magnitude 5.9 planet 1° northwest of 4th-magnitude Omicron (o) Piscium. A telescope reveals Uranus’ blue-green disk, which spans 3.4″.
Tuesday, June 13
Look high in the northwest after darkness falls this month, and you will see the familiar sight of the Big Dipper. The Dipper is the most conspicuous asterism — a recognizable pattern of stars that doesn’t form a complete constellation shape — in the entire sky. It forms the body and tail of Ursa Major the Great Bear. Use the Pointers, the two stars at the bottom of the Dipper’s bowl, to find Polaris, which lies due north for everyone north of the equator. Polaris marks the end of the Little Dipper’s handle. On June evenings, the relatively faint stars of this dipper arc directly above Polaris.
Wednesday, June 14
For people who live near 40° north latitude, today marks the earliest sunrise of the year. Although the Northern Hemisphere’s longest day doesn’t occur until Earth’s summer solstice next week, earliest sunrise happens several days before and latest sunset several days after. The specific dates depend on your latitude, however — earliest sunrise at 30° north came on the 10th. In general, earliest sunrise occurs closer to the solstice the farther north you live.
Thursday, June 15
Saturn lies opposite the Sun in our sky today (officially at 6 a.m. EDT) and reaches its peak visibility for 2017. The ringed planet appears low in the southeast as darkness falls and grows more prominent as the evening wears on and it climbs higher. It stands about one-third of the way to the zenith in the southern sky around 1 a.m. local daylight time. Saturn lies among the background stars of southern Ophiuchus and shines at magnitude 0.0, nearly 10 times brighter than any of this constellation’s stars. When viewed through a telescope, the dramatic ring system spans 42″ and tilts 27° to our line of sight, while Saturn’s family of moderately bright moons appears next to the gorgeous world.
Friday, June 16
Neptune’s eastward motion against the background stars comes to a halt at 7 p.m. EDT. This so-called stationary point marks the beginning of the best period to observe an outer planet. Neptune rises around 1 a.m. local daylight time and appears nearly 30° high in the southeast as morning twilight commences. The magnitude 7.9 planet lies in Aquarius, 17′ (about half the Moon’s diameter) east of 6th-magnitude 81 Aquarii. Unfortunately, a bright gibbous Moon also stands near Neptune this morning, so you’ll be better off looking for it earlier or later this week. You’ll need binoculars to spy Neptune and a telescope to see its blue-gray disk, which spans 2.3″.
Saturday, June 17
Last Quarter Moon occurs at 7:33 a.m. EDT. The half-lit orb rises slightly after 1 a.m. local daylight time and climbs in the southeastern sky along with the background stars of Aquarius the Water-bearer.
Sunday, June 18
Although Venus reached its greatest elongation from the Sun earlier this month, it now rises earlier and climbs higher in the east before dawn. It rises shortly after 3 a.m. local daylight time and stands 15° above the horizon an hour before sunrise. It’s hard to mistake the inner planet for anything else — at magnitude –4.3, it shines brighter than any other point of light in the sky. When viewed through a telescope this morning, Venus’ disk spans 20″ and appears slightly more than half-lit.

that make up all the essentials in life

our beings divine within the beating
heart of the universal infinite
The 4 elements of love that make us…
from the tops of our heads
to the tips of our toes
to the beating of our hearts
to our hands that give love
So I call from Gaia the 4 elements of love into me…
Earth – the element coming from the North
Earth as my Body – become me
Earth is our universal home
For She sustains, supports, and provides nourishment
for us all
Earth is where we were born
Earth is where we will live
Earth is where we will die
Earth is the source that all life comes from and
that all life will return to – ashes to ashes and
dust to dust
When you stand upon Mother Earth, let
your soul move through the center of
your feet to entangle once again with
the roots of all earth’s life
My Body as Earth – Let Me become You…
Air – the element coming from the East
Air as my Breath – breathe me in
Air is the movement, space and the medium of
communication between all life
Air is under and around our starry skies, and
inbetween the essential ethers that we breathe
Air tells us the secrets of the earth…
if we silence our minds enough we can hear them
Air is what we should all be like to each other –
that giving and that essential
When you let air blow through your
heart freely you feel true love
for all
My Breath as Air – Let me breathe you in…
Fire – the element coming from the South
Fire as my Spirit – consume me
Fire as Sun heats the Earth,
warms our hearts and homes
Fire as energy, is the light, the heat and that
which creates our vital inner force that we all
need for soul survival
Fire is the energy that enables our spiritual growth
Fire is the inner passion that moves us all to seek
and find love in all
When you let fire consume your being,
your soul becomes one with all
My Spirit as Fire – Let Me consume You…
Water – the element coming from the West
Water as my Blood – flow thru me
Water is the ebb and flow within us in accordance to
the lunar cycles
Water is the liquid of love that flows from Her veins
of life into our veins of life
Water is life’s blood that connects all life
and flows thru all life
Water is the universal solvent that…
connects us all
flows thru us all
and…
dissolves us all
all into one
When you lay over water and water lays
over you, you once again become whole –
mind, body and soul…
My Blood as Water – Let Me flow thru You…
For these 4 elements of love come from the
primal source above and connect us all as
one universal being of love within this
infinite universe of love
For these 4 elements of love take us all
Take us all thru Mother Gaia’s 4 seasonal calls

Good Monday Morning to one and all! Can you believe it is Monday already? Gee, I think they need to extend the weekends or something, lol! Not enough hours in the weekends anymore. Let’s get this show on the road before it becomes another day on us, what’cha say…..
Moon shines down upon a sea of Light,
Shifting sands lay singing in the Heart of the Night.
I looked upon a scene that gripped me to the core,
White-clad maidens below were dancing on the shore.
Sweet sounds slipped from moon-lit throats,
Wind whipped hair abound,
Lit by the light within and without,
The Women circled ’round.
As I stood, water engulfed my feet,
My body swayed to your Heavenly Heart beat.
Wind and wave and fire light,
Paled in my mind Earthly delight.
Time slipped by me as you held your embrace,
And windblown spray covered my face.
Protected deep within your Womb,
I could feel the tender pain of Life’s bloom.
Candles flared high as the Dance progressed,
Deep inside with a healing touch you blessed.
All around, wind, wave and fire shouted of your life,
Your light speared deep within, soothing my strife.
Divine Mother, Goddess of Light,
To you I come seeking protection from the night.
Come home to shelter within your arm,
Surrounded by Love, hidden from harm.
Holy Mother, Queen of Heaven and Earth,
From you we all trace our Birth.
Heavenly Goddess, light from above,
Shine down upon us, we pray for your Love.
