Moon in Taurus

The Moon is traveling through comfy Taurus today. Eat something you love. Have a second serving.

We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and “stop to smell the roses”. Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.

The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.

Overview of Your Astronomy for Saturday, November 4th

Early today, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Taurus as the Moon opposes the Scorpio Sun. This lunation is particularly close to the earth such that we may feel its themes a little more strongly, and it occurs at approximately the same time as a Venus-Uranus opposition.

Full Moons always pit opposite signs of the zodiac against each other but also invite us to work to achieve a balance between the opposing energies. The contrast between earthy, practical, peace-loving Taurus and emotional, transformative, crisis-oriented Scorpio comes full bloom now. This is a passionate and creative Full Moon, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. Intimate relationship matters, such as personal comfort levels, sexuality, and values, figure prominently now. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. We need to awaken to a new way of doing things and enjoying ourselves.

The Full Moon itself connects with Jupiter and harmonizes with Neptune, as both bodies get closer and closer to an exact trine, emphasizing the fertility, imagination, and magic of our realizations and epiphanies.

While there can be a tug of war between closeness and independence now, we might find discover ways to interact while honoring both needs. Venus forms a sesquiquadrate with Neptune this afternoon, and we’re inclined to see one another through the lens of wishful thinking. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Taurus.

Saturday 4th November

Under the Moon of Love:

Full Moon rises in Taurus, the Bull, at 11 degrees

A sweet, salted caramel of a full Moon rises in Taurus. What will its siren song reveal?

This full Moon links with Neptune, as do the full Moons of December, January, and March (there isn’t a full Moon in February). So there’s a watery, dreamy, and creative series of full Moons ahead – but a time of leaks and scandals too.

The Moon Diary for Saturday, November 4th

From The Astrology Room

Here’s an intensely sensuous, musical full Moon. It overflows with dreams and visions – bringing up beautiful fantasies of rural bliss, ocean voyages, idealistic love, and unfocused sensitivity.

Everything fluctuates as November’s earthy Moon in Taurus and Sun in Scorpio connect with imaginative Neptune in Pisces at 11 degrees.

Both Pisces and Taurus are closely associated with music and the arts, so this full Moon could be the perfect time to make music, sing in the bath, or simply listen. Our five senses are heightened, our appetite for true love and pleasure enhanced. At the same time, Neptune confuses and dissolves that Taurean practicality, making it difficult to maintain boundaries in personal relationships and professional alliances. It’s a bit of a mud bath with added psychic awareness, and chocolate cake.

As ever with Neptune, intuitive and visionary paths tend to be more fruitful than materialistic ambitions. Empathy works well, but down-to-earth common sense struggles to be heard. Tuning in to others brings a sense of closeness, and dreams about soul-mates and karmic connections surface. However, the glamour of Neptune always casts a spell – so tread carefully when it comes to cash, commitment, and trust.

Similarly, Neptune with the Moon can mean increased sensitivity to drugs – medical and otherwise, allergies, alcohol, delusions and scandals.

This is one of a series of full Moons at 11 degrees, each linked with Neptune. Each has a slightly different emphasis, but all of them bring added potential for confusion and some yearning for a more beautiful, and kinder, experience of the world.

Each of these full Moons sensitises warrior Mars at 11 degrees Taurus in the UK’s national horoscope – 1st January, 1801.

Watch out for an increase in arguments as public debate and the feelings of crowds surge and peak around each Moon. Since this full Moon is exactly aligned with UK’s Mars, we may see the strongest manifestation in the UK this November. Finances, alliances, security and legacies are all swimming into focus, as is important news about women, and prominent women in particular.

Neptune also rules oil, chemicals, drugs, spies, con-men, fakes, and activities that create illusions such as photography, and the film industry. We’re likely to see more news than usual relating to some (or all) of these things.

Our bewitching, bewildering Neptunian full Moons crash upon the shores of reality. Here they are:

4th November 2017: Full Moon in Taurus sextile Neptune in Pisces.

3rd December 2017: Full Moon in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces – tricky, slippery words and mesmerising poetry.

2nd January 2018: Full Moon in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces – oceanic emotions, deeds, and events are in store.

There is no full Moon in February 2018.

2nd March 2018: Full Moon in Virgo opposition Neptune in Pisces – a see-saw, with connections to health news, drugs, and health professionals.
