Your Daily Horoscopes for Thursday, June 25th

Aries

Aries Horoscope
Aries

Until August 8th, Mars is transiting your solar fourth house, dear Aries. Mars is your ruler, and its transits are especially significant for you. The Sun is also in this same sector of home and family, so that there is a special focus on taking charge of domestic matters. This can be chaotic or turbulent at times, and very productive at other times! You can certainly work this position to your advantage by putting your energy into productive channels, such as decorating, organizing your home, going on outings with family, or actively working on problem areas in your personal life. You’re in a more self-protective and protective phase during this transit. Watch for a defensive manner, but do enjoy extra time spent on improving your home life. Today can be strong for dreaming up creative ideas for work or long-term projects and goals.

Taurus

Taurus

Mars is now transiting your solar third house, dear Taurus, and will stay in this sector of your chart until August 8th. This can be a busy, communicative time for you. Motivation to learn, connect, and pursue your mental interests is strong now. However, impatience can be a problem if you feel others are not keeping your quick pace. Your daily routines and communications tend to speed up. Impatience on the road and/or with speech should be watched. Otherwise, it’s a time of super-charged motivation to get busy. New interests and contacts can emerge now, or you can find renewed motivation to pursue subjects that have dropped off the radar. Today is good for getting back on track with your daily routines.

Gemini

Gemini

Mars has left your sign and is now transiting your solar second house, dear Gemini, until August 8th. This stimulates your desire to improve your lot in life. This influence can have different effects on different people. Some of you could be very impulsive when it comes to acquiring new things, or protective of your possessions. Others might be super-motivated to make more money. Some could experience clashes with others regarding values, and possibly money, during this cycle. This transit is strong for resourcefulness. You are more courageous about using your talents and making them work for you. Your instincts for building and developing current projects are reliable and strong. Today, the Moon moving through your sector of play can bring out your more expressive and affectionate qualities.

Cancer

Cancer

Mars is now transiting your sign, dear Cancer, and this brings a lot of energy to your personality. During this cycle that lasts until August 8th, you’ll have plenty of chances to assert yourself and seek out what you want from life. Mars is now supplying you with increased personal energy, initiative, and drive. Angry feelings might also be stimulated during this cycle, and you might want to watch for overly hasty, impulsive, or impatient behavior. Otherwise, you can use this period to heartily pursue personal goals. This can also be a time when work is more available to you. Today, however, there is an emotional need to stick with familiar situations and to seek out safe havens. You may be feeling a little more sensitive than usual.

Leo

Leo

Mars is now moving through your solar twelfth house, dear Leo, where it will transit until August 8th. Over the coming weeks, you’ll be reorganizing your goals and desires, perhaps questioning or second-guessing some of them before you gain clarity. Some of you will require more rest than usual, and more time to come to decisions. This is especially the case with the Sun also transiting the same sector (until July 22nd). This is a time for personal reflection, more rest, and some level of withdrawal from overly competitive or high-pressure situations as you recoup and regain strength for busier times to come. Honor this need, and you’ll do especially well. Let important people in your life know that you need a little more space. Today can be busy, as you’re in need of more than the usual mental stimulation.

Virgo

Virgo Symbol/Glyph
Virgo

Mars is now transiting your solar eleventh house, dear Virgo, where it will stay until August 8th. You have a stronger need for freedom of action, and you may feel less inhibited or restricted during this relatively flowing transit. You can experience more motivation to pursue your goals and dreams in concrete ways. When Mars is challenged during this period, there can be troubles with friends – those matters that have been brewing or held at bay now become pressing matters. However, if there is a need to clear the air, this is the time for doing so. Mars favors direct, straightforward approaches and has little patience for beating around the bush. You might come up with some very interesting plans for your future, and this process can be very enjoyable if not exciting. Overall, this is a good period for energy levels and social stimulation.

Libra

Libra Glyph-Symbol
Libra

Mars is now moving through your career and reputation sector, dear Libra, where it will transit until August 8th. This is one of the more ambitious transits. You’re more inclined to want to have things running your way. This transit can bring new energy and motivation to your professional life, but it can also stimulate conflict with bosses or parents in some cases. To avoid this, you will need to watch for a confrontational or defensive manner. On the other hand, if there is a real need to clear the air, you may have more courage to do so now. This transit stimulates your ambitions and/or your desire to be recognized for your accomplishments. Whether it’s professional or personal, you are likely to have an increased desire to get ahead. Because you are more inclined to take shortcuts, there can be some mistakes to contend with, but with patience, this can be a strong time for really getting things done. Today, the Moon is in your sign again, and emotional needs are clear, but possibly a little too urgent! Acknowledge feelings you’ve kept at bay, but don’t let them carry you away.

Scorpio

Scorpio Symbol Glyph
Scorpio

Mars is now transiting a fellow water sign, dear Scorpio, where it will stay until August 8th. This is a nice energy boost for you. You are really turning a corner now in terms of energy and confidence. This is excellent for natural energy and assertiveness as you are less likely now to step on others’ toes while pursuing your goals and interests. Energy levels tend to be even and smooth. You are especially enthusiastic and bolder than usual. Some restlessness and hunger for adventure can be experienced as you seek out new experiences. At the same time, your hunger for learning can expand now. Essentially, you are looking to expand your activities, and you may find that you have a lot of energy for higher studies, travel, or all-new subjects. A negative potential is getting overly fired up over differences in points of view. The Moon is in your privacy sector all day, however, signaling a need to take things easy, rest, and reflect.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius Glyph Symbol
Sagittarius

Mars is now transiting your solar eighth house, dear Sagittarius, where it will stay until August 8th. This brings increased energy to intimate matters – sometimes producing very favorable intense feelings, and other times stimulating conflict. Strife can occur with a partner about finances or other tricky topics during this cycle, but treat this airing of previously hidden problem areas as a chance to truly clear the air, and you’ll do very well. Your intimate world could become especially animated and active during this cycle. You may be putting a lot more energy into self-understanding or research now. You are more interested in making inner changes now, possibly because of conflicts that push you in this direction. A creative aspect between your ruler, Jupiter, and Pluto today stimulates your ability to see opportunities where you may not have seen them before.

Capricorn

Capricorn Symbol/Glyph
Capricorn

Until August 8th, Mars is transiting opposite your sign, dear Capricorn. This transit enlivens your relationships with others, sometimes stimulating conflicts. Some of you could be rushing into a new relationship or partnership during this cycle. Problem areas in your close relationships might be brought to your screaming attention, and this can be a good thing if you’re looking to clear the air; but this transit can also bring aggressive people or situations into your life if you are not paying close attention to your own need for stimulation and self-assertion. Relationships with others are lively now, and are best viewed as reflections of your own needs. With self-honesty and effort, this can be a strong period for bringing fresh energy into a relationship.

Aquarius

Aquarius

Mars is now moving through your solar sixth house, dear Aquarius, where it will transit until August 8th. This transit animates your daily routines. If you’ve been wanting to pursue better routines and programs for health and work, then this is the time when you are ready to take action. While it’s not the best cycle for expressing your desires naturally and confidently, it’s a good time for finding the motivation to work hard at projects that have been on the back burner, and/or to get moving on a health or self-care program. If you can, find ways to set your own pace in your work, as you can be impatient with co-workers during this period. However, you can be especially motivated to tackle problem areas of your life and to take on new projects and work. Today’s Moon transits your adventure sector, motivating you to find new ways to express your need to grow, improve, and learn.

Pisces

Pisces

Mars is now in your solar fifth house and in a fellow Water sign, dear Pisces, where it will transit until August 8th. This marks a turning of the corner for you. With Mars supporting you, you’re more confident, involved, and spirited. This transit brings smoother energy levels, and can also animate and energize your creative world as well as your romantic life. At times, you may feel over-stimulated in these areas, however! You tend to put more energy into play and pleasure, and you can be especially magnetic. Watch out for a tendency to take unnecessary risks. Otherwise, enjoy this time when your courage levels are boosted and you are more inclined to take a direct route to satisfying your desires.

Help from the Universe

Help from the Universe

If we are open to it, help is always all around us. But, most of the time we are too busy, or have tunnel vision to be able to see/hear/notice it. There is such beauty in synchronicities, coincidences and other promptings that show us we are on the right direction in our path.

Have you ever had it happen where a book fell off a shelf and hit you on the foot? Maybe you got a wrong number that lead you to wonder about an old high school friend? Perhaps, you turned down the wrong street to find a great new restaurant, one which you would have never seen otherwise. Miracles are all around us. Each time we are in tune with our own life, instead of trying to figure out tomorrow, we are able to experience even more of these Divine gifts.

To take a time out from the stress and busyness of life, try marking a day on your calendar to just be in the Now. That means NO planning for that day, other than to leave it open to see what comes in. It may be a bit uncomfortable at first, because we all have a tendency to feel like we need do something. But, if you can just sit and relax and let your intuition guide you in each moment, you will find that you have created a wonderful state of peace.

Smile at your neighbors, play with your pets, enjoy the nature around you, appreciate your home and family, these all happen right now and you can do them any time. When you are appreciating in each of these small things, you can begin to notice how the other things you were stressed out about, or concerned over, seem to become more removed from your awareness.

This is simply because it is not our natural state to worry, but unfortunately we have just been taught through history to do so. Yet, if you think back to something that you worried and stressed about, how many times did a solution present itself? How many times were you directed to help or shown a resource? Even if it didn’t happen right away, you can see that through your life, a guiding hand has always been there to help.

I can remember one such experience where I didn’t know where our next meal was going to come from, yet we did not stress or give that situation any energy. Later that day, an unexpected check for $90 showed up in the mail as a refund from our insurance company.

The more that you are able to cultivate that peace and relaxation in your life, you will not only find that guidance flows to you consistently, but also that all of a sudden you are able to finish more tasks each day. By being in the Now, you become the master of time; you live from a space of oneness. In that place is where the miracles live, and where assistance from the Universe is always available.

Dear one, your power is within you. Therefore, it is you that has the power in your life. Your Heart, the core of your power, connects you to All Life through Love. If you have the courage to say no to an experience, you are saying yes to yourself, to your strengthening, to your new path. You are even saying yes to another finding a new path – as you say no to an old path, a harmful path. Love the path anyway, even as you choose to observe it through the distance of time and space. Forgiveness is a powerful tool. It is a key; silent, small, unassuming; yet opening huge doors to new experience. With the smallest of action, a mere shift, the Force of the door is Forged through easily. Blessed Being, as you forgive, you release the locks that hold you back from new experience. You open yourself to an expanse of new creation that you couldn’t see from your previous vantage point. It was behind the door of freedom. Let go of past pain. Let go of present pain. Let go of future fear and choose a new experience. Walk forward. Even if that looks like ‘away’ from one perspective. Free your Heart to flow in a new direction.

The Witches Magick for the 25th Day of the Dyad Moon – Moon Tree Love Spell

Fantasy Comments & Graphics
Moon Tree Love Spell

In 1971, the astronauts of Apollo 14 took tree seeds with them into lunar orbit. Later the seeds were germinated on earth, and planted around the United States. There are now more than 400 of these “Moon Trees” that are growing strong across the country. Use this spell to draw the magic of the moon into your bedroom and lovemaking tonight and every night.

For this spell, you will need a strong tree, a water bottle filled with water, and a 69-inch length of white yarn, ribbon, or string.

After the moon rises, stand under the tree, and address its trunk and branches:

Blessed tree, may our love be as strong as thee!

Call out the name of the one you love and who loves you. Now, walk clockwise around the tree three times. As you do, sprinkle drops of water from the bottle around the tree base, and say three times:

Blessed tree, may our love be as strong as thee!

Again, call out the name of your beloved. Tie the white yarn around the tree trunk. Now place your palms on the tree, and say:

Blessed tree, in summer, fall, winter, and spring
May our love be strong by earth, air, fire, and sea
May our union be sweet, romantic, and loving, blessed be!

Once more, call out the name of the one you love. Now, lean against the tree and place both palms face down against the bark. Take a few minutes to think about the person you love. Close your eyes for a couple of minutes, and imagine he or she coming to you and telling you how much you are loved and adored. Imagine your lover showing you how much you are loved. Take several deep, complete breaths to clarify the image and sensation. When you are done, untie the yarn. Retie the white yarn to your bedpost to bring the magic of the silvery moon into your bedroom and lovemaking. As you do, say:

May our love be strong by earth, air, fire, and sea
May our union be sweet, romantic, and loving, blessed be!

Let’s Talk Witch – Dream-Work

Fantasy Comments & GraphicsDream-Work

There are a lot of different theories on why the mind does dream. Some believe that it is a way to connect to the subconscious and that the mind uses this opportunity to work through issues that have come up during the day. It is also theorized that dreaming is important when it comes to memory and learning.

In many cultures, people actively try to enter the dream state in order to find answers to their questions. Lucid dreaming is something that most cultures in the world have tried to make use of.

Whilst we cannot really be absolutely sure what the reason is for dreaming what we do, their is no doubt that analyzing the dreams can provide valuable information.

Whether you believe that dreaming is the soul’s way of accessing the astral plane or spirit world, or that it is the subconscious mind’s way of communicating with us, dream-work can be really useful.

In order to really get the benefits though, it is important to be able to properly interpret the messages that the mind is sending to you. The only way to sort out useful information from nonsense is to keep a record of what you have dreamt so that patterns in the dreams can be recognized.

The best way to do this is to make sure that you have paper and a pen on your bedside table. It is best to write out what you can remember the minute that you awaken. You can jot down key ideas that can aid your recall of the dream later.

Recording what you have dreamt is important because it let’s the waking mind know that remembering the dreams is important. Otherwise the mind will just put dreams in the file and forget category and you won’t be able to recall them, no matter how hard you try.

Try to capture the essence of the dream in five words or less – this in itself can be a helpful tool in determining what the dreams meant later as the mind will isolate the key themes for you.

The more often you repeat the process of recording your dreams, the better you will get at remembering them and the easier it will be to start interpreting them.

It can also be helpful to keep a record of what phase the moon was in alongside the keywords of the dream. This will help you to identify the times of the month that more helpful information is provided – dreams can be wilder at different times.

When it comes to interpreting the dreams, it is more important to follow your own gut instinct than to rely on outside interpretations. Dream dictionaries are rather generic and can possibly point to what a dream might mean but they can also be wildly inaccurate – they cannot possibly take your own personal experiences into account and these can have a huge impact on what you dream.

The problem with interpreting dreams is that symbolism plays a huge part in them and you might never really be sure what it means. You might be dreaming about something that you have a real fear about, or you could be dreaming about something because you ate something that disagreed with you.

That is why it is important to have a proper record of dreams. When you do, you will notice what themes recur and will be able to interpret the dream accordingly.

Whilst it is true that you cannot control what you dream about, you can influence it by what you think about when you get into bed. If you want some clarity on an issue, try thinking about it for a few minutes after you have turned in for the night. You might be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.

After the day-long festivities, the money that has been collected is given to the local church and charities.

CUSTOM-MADE DAILY MAGICK FOR THURSDAY

Fantasy Comments & GraphicsCUSTOM-MADE DAILY MAGICK FOR THURSDAY

Well, let’s see … abundance, prosperity, and good health has been our focus for this day. Now how about a little more information and ideas for working practical magick with one of our fascinating featured deities of the day?

Juno was the Queen of Heaven. As the matriarch of the gods, she guarded over women in every aspect of their lives. Juno was thought to have renewed her virginity every year. Similar to other goddess stories, Juno was a triple goddess-a virgin who belonged to no one; a mother and woman in the prime of her life, sexual and mature; and also a crone, powerful, wise, and sometimes vengeful (as she made her husband’s many mistresses’ lives either fairly unhappy or short).

There are references to an early all-female triad of goddesses known as the Capitoline Triad. This triad consisted of Juventas, Juno, and Minerva. To the Greeks, they would have been known as Hebe, Hera, and Hecate. Ultimately the triad became Juno, Minerva, and the male Jupiter. Jupiter, another of Thursday’s gods, was Juno’s consort.

As mentioned earlier, Juno, in her aspect as Juno Moneta, was the patron and protector of the Roman mint. The coins produced at her temples were blessed by Juno and imbued with her powers of abundance and prosperity. In another of her aspects as Juno Augusta, Juno was the goddess of an abundant harvest.

In addition, another of Juno’s magickal correspondences is the semiprecious stone malachite. Malachite is a beautiful green-banded stone that was also called the “peacock stone” in Italy. The peacock was a sacred animal of Juno’s, and the magickal energies of malachite encourage health and prosperity.

Thursday’s Must Dos

Try wearing some honeysuckle-scented perfume to encourage prosperity. Bewitch someone by wearing deep royal blue or brighten up a dreary day by wearing lucky, prosperity-drawing green. Brew up a pot of mint tea to help increase your cash flow. Try adding a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon to an unscented candle to encourage some fast cash. Bake up a loaf of wheat bread for the family, and celebrate abundance and be thankful for all that you have.

Conjure up a witchy craft and create a philter or two for your magickal needs. Work with the deities and the magickal plants corresponding with Thursday.

How did the energies of the plants of Jupiter enhance your magick? What did you learn by working with Juno, Jove, or Zeus? The truth is that by adding these new techniques and information into your spellcasting repertoire, you will indeed advance your skills, thereby moving up in the ranks to become a more adept magickal practitioner

Just by believing in yourself and working toward creating abundance, health, and prosperity, you have already begun to transform your outlook on life. Put your game face on; think positively. Work with Thor for perseverance and courage, and apply those qualities to your own prosperity spells and healing witchery. Break out the tarot cards; How could you incorporate that symbolism into other spells of your own design?

Use your imagination, check Thursday’s correspondence list, and see what other bewitching things you can conjure up for prosperity magick all by yourself. Call on the gods and goddess of Thursday and bring some positive change, abundance, health, and prosperity into your life!

Thursday’s Witchery

Fantasy Comments & GraphicsThursday’s Witchery

Today is the day for prosperity work of all kinds. It can also be used for healing work, whether that is a physical healing of an illness or an emotional healing. Also remember that you have to follow up your healing work and prosperity magick and physical action.

I can’t tell you the number of times I have met new witches who complain to me that their prosperity spell or “I need a better job” spell did not work as they expected. They’ll ramble on and on about how much time and money they spent working their magick….but, alas, they had no glorious manifestion of wealth or fabulous job that suddenly dropped out of the sky and landed in their laps.

Then, when I gently ask them, “Did you enchant your resume or application when you filled it out? Did you do a little confidence-boosting spellwork when you went to apply for the job or went to the interview?” typically they give me a blank, confused stare.

Nine times out of ten, their response is, “You mean I have to go out and actually look for the job too?” Um, yes, my dear, you certainly do. Magick follows the path of least resistance, which means it’s going to manifest along the simplest, quickest route. Get out there and hit the pavement. See what you can find. Times are tough and competition for good jobs is fierce, so you need whatever edge you can get. For folks like us, we’re going to get the edge by using our magick and our spellcraft.

Thursdays have such a rich source of magick for us to draw upon that, honestly, the sky is the limit. This is the day associated with the gods of the sky and heavens, after all. Get to know these deities and add their wisdom and magick into your days

Thursday – Jupiter’s (Thor’s) day

Fantasy Comments & GraphicsThursday

Jupiter’s (Thor’s) day

The name is derived from Old English Þūnresdæg and Middle English Thuresday (with loss of -n-, first in northern dialects, from influence of Old Norse Þorsdagr) meaning “Thor’s Day”. Thunor, Donar (German, Donnerstag) and Thor are derived from the name of the Germanic god of thunder, Thunraz, equivalent to Jupiter in the interpretatio romana.

In most Romance languages, the day is named after the Roman god Jupiter, who was the god of sky and thunder. In Latin, the day was known as Iovis Dies, “Jupiter’s Day”. In Latin, the genitive or possessive case of Jupiter was Iovis/Jovis and thus in most Romance languages it became the word for Thursday: Italian giovedì, Spanish jueves, French jeudi, Sardinian jòvia, Catalan dijous, and Romanian joi. This is also reflected in the p-Celtic Welsh dydd Iau.

The astrological and astronomical sign of the planet Jupiter (♃Jupiter) is sometimes used to represent Thursday.

Since the Roman god Jupiter was identified with Thunor (Norse Thor in northern Europe), most Germanic languages name the day after this god: Torsdag in Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish, Hósdagur/Tórsdagur in Faroese, Donnerstag in German or Donderdag in Dutch. Finnish and Northern Sami, both non-Germanic (Uralic) languages, uses the borrowing “Torstai” and “Duorastat”. In the extinct Polabian Slavic language, it was perundan, Perun being the Slavic equivalent of Thor.

There are a number of modern names imitating the naming of Thursday after an equivalent of “Jupiter” in local tradition. In most of the languages of India, the word for Thursday is Guruvar – var meaning day and guru being the style for Bṛhaspati, guru to the gods and regent of the planet Jupiter. In Thai, the word is Wan Pharuehatsabodi – referring to the Hindu deity Bṛhaspati, also associated with Jupiter. En was an old Illyrian deity and in his honor in the Albanian language Thursday is called “Enjte”. In the Nahuatl language, Thursday is Tezcatlipotōnal meaning “day of Tezcatlipoca”.

Good Thursday Morning To All Our Brothers & Sisters of The WOTC!

Blessed Be CommentsAn it Harm None

This world would be a better place,
If everyone believed,
The pagan rule of bring no harm,
To those who live and breath,
But that’s an idealogoly,
That can never be fulfilled,
For religions all around the world,
Bear other faiths I’ll will.

They all say they are peaceful,
They say their God is right,
They say that if you don’t believe,
You should forfeit your life,
Just look back at history,
And even here today,
Religion is not peaceful,
No matter to whom you pray.

A world without religion?
That’s never going to be,
For faiths will fight to put their God,
On the pinnacle of the tree,
And if there’s no religion,
What then will man fight for?
For man must fight for something,
He must always be at war.

You know my friends, it seems to me,
That whatever you believe,
We only want to live in peace,
But that will never be,
For God will be on both sides,
Fighting against himself,
And we are mere pawns in His game,
His game of cat and mouse.

But we could thwart His little game,
If we only had the will,
To turn our back on evil things,
And bear no one ill will,’
Following the Pagan way,
With nature we’d be one,
And we would praise the morning dew,
And the setting of the Sun.

NEVER AGAIN!

burning7

“Never Again,” shall be our cry,

For we will never forget how much

You gave and how much you sacrificed

for us and future generations to come,

Rest now dear brothers & sisters,

Your work is done and ours just begun.

Rest now and find well-deserved peace at last!

THE BURNING TIMES, NEVER FORGET! (Page 1)

THE BURNING TIMES

The probable number of people executed during the Burning Times was between 200,000 and 500,000. In the late1940’s and early 1950’s, several British Witches and occultists started talking about 9,000,000 “witches” killed. This number appears to have derived not from any research, but rather from an attempt to “one-up” the number of Jews exterminated by the Nazis in WW II. In order to support this contention, the definition of the Burning Times was changed. First, the period of the major witch hunts was extended from its peak, 1550 – 1675, backwards to the founding of the Inquisition (early 13th century). Second, the figures for judicial executions of heretics, notably the Cathari and the Waldensians, were included in the total. Finally, all judicial executions which took place during the Catholic “civil war” (the Avignon Papacy) were included. In effect, the definition of “witch” was changed to include “heretic”.

This definitional change is most interesting, since it parallels the definitional change that took place in the Catholic churches construction of demonic witchcraft (see, for example, Ginzburg’s “Ecstacies”). The “facts” of the situation where “changed” when the definition of the term “witch” was changed. “Witch” was defined as “not-orthodox” and, as such, included all heretics and non-Christians. To me, the interesting point is that this definition was created not by the Catholic church, but by Gerald Gardner in an attempt to prove that “witches” had suffered more than Jews.

Although the list below contains dates even earlier than the 13th century, all victims were tried, convicted, and sentenced to death from Witchcraft persecution, most from the Catholic church. I compiled this list for research and memorial purposes, and the hatchet is buried, BUT, Witchcraft persecution carries on to this very day. With that said:

KILLING of WITCHES

Some numbers of the unknown:

17,000+ killed in Scotland from 1563 to 1603
70,000 killed in England after 1573
40,000 executed between 1600-1680 in Great Britain
22,000 executed in Bamberg, Germany  1610-1840
30,000 burned by the Inquisition
300+ killed in South Africa between 1986 and 1996
100+ killed in Indonesia, 1998

The above numbers are approximations.
Of course the list below is far from complete.
Most victims are unfortunately recordless.
