ANALYSIS: In oþila, we find ourselves back in the seemingly mundane realm of wealth and property, just like the first rune, fehu. However, while cattle represented a more movable, transitory form of wealth, the land (as Mr. O’Hara said) is the only thing that lasts. It can be passed on as a legacy, but more importantly, it defines who we are by defining where we are. It is, ultimately, our home.
This rune brings us to the seventh cardinal point, which is the centre. It is the meeting place between Midgard and Asgard; between our Gods and us. It is the axis around which our lives revolve. The idea of land or property is only a symbol – we must all find our own “centre” (or, as Joseph Campbell termed it, our “bliss”) to give our lives meaning, and this is really the ultimate goal of the runic journey. Like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, we discover that after all our travels and adventures, we all eventually end up going home. But this doesn’t mean that the travels and adventures are pointless. On the contrary, it is only through those explorations that our ‘home’ or spiritual centre can have any real meaning for us. “There’s no place like home” of will have no power to send us there unless we come to truly understand what and where our home is to us. Conversely, none of lessons learned along the way can be of any real use to us unless we actively integrate them into our ‘mundane’ lives and find that centre point to anchor them to. Oþila not only completes the smaller cycle of the third aett, but also brings us back to the beginning of the fuþark itself, only on a higher level. We may now begin the grand cycle of the runic journey again.

What is Tarot?
Like many forms of divination, Tarot cards are a tool to help you tap into your own intuition and the wisdom of the universal energy that guides your life. Tarot, which has origins in 14th century Europe, is not a form of fortune telling. It’s more like a mirror that reflects what is happening in your life at the moment. Tarot is able to tap into hidden thoughts, feelings and truths and bring them to the surface so you can use that information to make decisions about life, love, emotions, health, career and more.
About Tarot card decks
Most Tarot card decks consist of 78 Tarot cards broken into a Major Arcana (22 cards) and a Minor Arcana (56 cards). The Major Arcana cards typically represent significant life events on a large scale, while the Minor Arcana cards deal with day-to-day life. The Minor Arcana includes four “suits” that each has a theme. Each suit is numbered one through 10, with four additional Court cards (Page, Knight, Queen and King).
Pentacles — Also referred to as “Disks” or “Coins,” cards in the Pentacles suit pertain to things in the material and physical world. Pentacles cards often indicate money matters, career and success, but they also can indicate levels of emotional and spiritual prosperity, too.
Wands — Sometimes called “Staffs,” the suit of Wands is more spiritual and is used to illustrate the energy of movement, growth and new beginnings. Wands represent ideas and innovation. They are often related to your career or your sense of purpose in the world, but they can deliver strong love messages, too. »
Cups — The suit of Cups is connected to our emotions and to our relationships, and to matters of the soul. Cups cards can reveal how we truly feel — and how others truly feel about us. They also speak of our emotional well-being.
Swords — The Swords cards are most associated with conflict and strife, which can refer to internal conflict, as well. Swords cut to the heart of a matter, revealing our greatest challenges. About Tarot spreads
Tarot cards are shuffled and laid out in any number of Tarot spreads. The best known spread is the 11-card Celtic Cross, but there are countless other Tarot spreads you can choose depending on what type of question you want to ask and how many cards you wish to draw. If you want to start out very simply, you can draw just one card about a specific person or situation. In fact, your question doesn’t even need to be a question! It’s called an “open reading” when you simply think about a person or situation instead of asking a direct question — the cards will still provide insight.
Each position in a Tarot spread has its own significant meaning, just as every card has its own meaning. For example, your spread may feature positions for “past,” “present” and “future,” or for “possible outcome,” so it’s important to pay attention to the position in which each card turns up. A card speaking of heartbreak would surely mean something different if it turned up in the past instead of the future, right?
Laying out your Tarot cards
Once you’ve determined your Tarot spread, it’s customary to shuffle all 78 cards in the Tarot deck and cut the cards as many times as you like while thinking about your question. This allows your energy to interact with the energy of the cards to achieve the best results. It also helps if you do your reading in a peaceful and relaxed environment.
When you are done shuffling and feel the moment is right, speak your question out loud, then pull your first card from anywhere in the deck and lay it on the first position of your spread in the upright position. Do the same for the remaining cards until every card is in place. Now comes the hardest (and most fun!) part — figuring out how to interpret your Tarot reading.
How to read Tarot cards
Tarot beginners will likely need to refer to Tarot.com or to a Tarot reference book to find the meaning of each card in their spread. The illustrations on each card depict archetypes of the human experience, but they can also take on personal meaning for you.
Let’s take The Fool card, for example. This card features a happy young man gazing into the distance. He’s about to step off a cliff into the unknown as the Sun rises behind him, and he has a small knapsack of supplies. Now think about how this literal description of The Fool might be translated into an insightful message. The classic interpretation is that of a person at the beginning of something new — perhaps a new relationship or a life-changing adventure — and they should be feeling positive about it because they have everything they need to succeed.
See, doesn’t that make sense? Now you try. Begin by studying each card and the position it is in, write down notes about how the card makes you think and feel based on its imagery and symbolism, then look up the classic meaning and make a note about that, too. Once you have done this for all the cards in your spread, you’ll start to see a story developing — a story that’s all about you!

Libra kitties need companionship, so adopt another cat (preferably a compatible Gemini kitty) that can keep them company as they play, wrestle and preen each other when you’re not home. And when you are home, go ahead and invite lots of people over. Libra kitty will greet them all, and loves the attention from your guests.

You know that black cat that shows up on Halloween, following the witch and sneaking around in the night? That’s your typical dark, mysterious Scorpio cat, for sure. Scorpio kitty is intense — fiesty, unpredictable and vengeful, especially if you make them jealous by petting another cat. If we are open to it, help is always all around us. But, most of the time we are too busy, or have tunnel vision to be able to see/hear/notice it. There is such beauty in synchronicities, coincidences and other promptings that show us we are on the right direction in our path.
Have you ever had it happen where a book fell off a shelf and hit you on the foot? Maybe you got a wrong number that lead you to wonder about an old high school friend? Perhaps, you turned down the wrong street to find a great new restaurant, one which you would have never seen otherwise. Miracles are all around us. Each time we are in tune with our own life, instead of trying to figure out tomorrow, we are able to experience even more of these Divine gifts.
To take a time out from the stress and busyness of life, try marking a day on your calendar to just be in the Now. That means NO planning for that day, other than to leave it open to see what comes in. It may be a bit uncomfortable at first, because we all have a tendency to feel like we need do something. But, if you can just sit and relax and let your intuition guide you in each moment, you will find that you have created a wonderful state of peace.
Smile at your neighbors, play with your pets, enjoy the nature around you, appreciate your home and family, these all happen right now and you can do them any time. When you are appreciating in each of these small things, you can begin to notice how the other things you were stressed out about, or concerned over, seem to become more removed from your awareness.
This is simply because it is not our natural state to worry, but unfortunately we have just been taught through history to do so. Yet, if you think back to something that you worried and stressed about, how many times did a solution present itself? How many times were you directed to help or shown a resource? Even if it didn’t happen right away, you can see that through your life, a guiding hand has always been there to help.
I can remember one such experience where I didn’t know where our next meal was going to come from, yet we did not stress or give that situation any energy. Later that day, an unexpected check for $90 showed up in the mail as a refund from our insurance company.
The more that you are able to cultivate that peace and relaxation in your life, you will not only find that guidance flows to you consistently, but also that all of a sudden you are able to finish more tasks each day. By being in the Now, you become the master of time; you live from a space of oneness. In that place is where the miracles live, and where assistance from the Universe is always available.
Dear one, your power is within you. Therefore, it is you that has the power in your life. Your Heart, the core of your power, connects you to All Life through Love. Your free will is your choice to Love or not. Do not confuse Loving with experiencing. You need not have all experiences, merely Love all of Life. Even as you choose not to experience something, you are emanating the gift of Love powerfully into your world – if you choose to Love it. If you have the courage to say no to an experience, you are saying yes to yourself, to your strengthening, to your new path. In 1971, the astronauts of Apollo 14 took tree seeds with them into lunar orbit. Later the seeds were germinated on earth, and planted around the United States. There are now more than 400 of these “Moon Trees” that are growing strong across the country. Use this spell to draw the magic of the moon into your bedroom and lovemaking tonight and every night.
For this spell, you will need a strong tree, a water bottle filled with water, and a 69-inch length of white yarn, ribbon, or string.
After the moon rises, stand under the tree, and address its trunk and branches:
Blessed tree, may our love be as strong as thee!
Call out the name of the one you love and who loves you. Now, walk clockwise around the tree three times. As you do, sprinkle drops of water from the bottle around the tree base, and say three times:

There are a lot of different theories on why the mind does dream. Some believe that it is a way to connect to the subconscious and that the mind uses this opportunity to work through issues that have come up during the day. It is also theorized that dreaming is important when it comes to memory and learning.
In many cultures, people actively try to enter the dream state in order to find answers to their questions. Lucid dreaming is something that most cultures in the world have tried to make use of.
Whilst we cannot really be absolutely sure what the reason is for dreaming what we do, their is no doubt that analyzing the dreams can provide valuable information.
Whether you believe that dreaming is the soul’s way of accessing the astral plane or spirit world, or that it is the subconscious mind’s way of communicating with us, dream-work can be really useful.
In order to really get the benefits though, it is important to be able to properly interpret the messages that the mind is sending to you. The only way to sort out useful information from nonsense is to keep a record of what you have dreamt so that patterns in the dreams can be recognized.
The best way to do this is to make sure that you have paper and a pen on your bedside table. It is best to write out what you can remember the minute that you awaken. You can jot down key ideas that can aid your recall of the dream later.
Recording what you have dreamt is important because it let’s the waking mind know that remembering the dreams is important. Otherwise the mind will just put dreams in the file and forget category and you won’t be able to recall them, no matter how hard you try.
Try to capture the essence of the dream in five words or less – this in itself can be a helpful tool in determining what the dreams meant later as the mind will isolate the key themes for you.
The more often you repeat the process of recording your dreams, the better you will get at remembering them and the easier it will be to start interpreting them.
It can also be helpful to keep a record of what phase the moon was in alongside the keywords of the dream. This will help you to identify the times of the month that more helpful information is provided – dreams can be wilder at different times.
When it comes to interpreting the dreams, it is more important to follow your own gut instinct than to rely on outside interpretations. Dream dictionaries are rather generic and can possibly point to what a dream might mean but they can also be wildly inaccurate – they cannot possibly take your own personal experiences into account and these can have a huge impact on what you dream.
The problem with interpreting dreams is that symbolism plays a huge part in them and you might never really be sure what it means. You might be dreaming about something that you have a real fear about, or you could be dreaming about something because you ate something that disagreed with you.
That is why it is important to have a proper record of dreams. When you do, you will notice what themes recur and will be able to interpret the dream accordingly.

Well, let’s see … abundance, prosperity, and good health has been our focus for this day. Now how about a little more information and ideas for working practical magick with one of our fascinating featured deities of the day?
Juno was the Queen of Heaven. As the matriarch of the gods, she guarded over women in every aspect of their lives. Juno was thought to have renewed her virginity every year. Similar to other goddess stories, Juno was a triple goddess-a virgin who belonged to no one; a mother and woman in the prime of her life, sexual and mature; and also a crone, powerful, wise, and sometimes vengeful (as she made her husband’s many mistresses’ lives either fairly unhappy or short).
There are references to an early all-female triad of goddesses known as the Capitoline Triad. This triad consisted of Juventas, Juno, and Minerva. To the Greeks, they would have been known as Hebe, Hera, and Hecate. Ultimately the triad became Juno, Minerva, and the male Jupiter. Jupiter, another of Thursday’s gods, was Juno’s consort.
As mentioned earlier, Juno, in her aspect as Juno Moneta, was the patron and protector of the Roman mint. The coins produced at her temples were blessed by Juno and imbued with her powers of abundance and prosperity. In another of her aspects as Juno Augusta, Juno was the goddess of an abundant harvest.
In addition, another of Juno’s magickal correspondences is the semiprecious stone malachite. Malachite is a beautiful green-banded stone that was also called the “peacock stone” in Italy. The peacock was a sacred animal of Juno’s, and the magickal energies of malachite encourage health and prosperity.
