Cosmic Calendar for Wednesday, August 22

This year’s solar shift from Leo to Virgo (10:08AM PDT) could be a real humdinger. First of all, a short void lunar cycle clocks in at 12:14AM PDT and lasts until 12:55AM PDT when the Moon enters the passionate energy-field of Scorpio. Then, before you know it, the Sun makes a contra-parallel to Mars (2:53AM PDT) while after the Sun enters Virgo (10:08AM PDT), the other shoe falls and the Sun makes a contra-parallel to Neptune (1:59PM PDT).  Just yesterday, Mars and Neptune were parallel and co-creating all kinds of earthly mayhem. The Moon added its two cents on Tuesday as well as it formed parallels to Mars and Neptune. With the Sun making its presence known today by lambasting Mars and Neptune by the equivalent of a polarity, we now have a whole lot more murkiness, anxiety, confusion and unsettled conditions to handle with hoped-for expertise.  Fortunately, just one minute before the Sun-Neptune contra-parallel at 1:58PM PDT, logic and rational thinking may enter the picture — thanks to an inspirational, 72-degree encounter between Mercury and pragmatist Saturn (1:58PM PDT). An added benefit is Mercury making a supportive, 60-degree tie to mind-expanding Jupiter (3:57PM PDT). Any time that Mercury and Jupiter work together in harmony, the realms of communication and transportation look promising.  Express heartfelt sentiments to the object of your affection this evening as the Moon approaches a flowing trine in water signs to Venus (forming exactly at 2:35AM PDT tomorrow).
