Venus and Mars: The Relationship Dance

Considering the shaky manner in which the last four months have ended, the close of April 2014 occurs in a mild and even upbeat way. These two planets were the traditional ruling bodies of all four mutable signs (Gemini; Virgo; Sagittarius; Pisces), and, as such, they still have a lot of control when it comes to the communication, transportation, and education realms. Therefore, working on class papers or lectures, upcoming travel plans, and conference agendas makes total sense. Plus, it helps that the Moon and Venus see eye-to-eye as they also form a constructive, 60-degree rapport from Taurus to Pisces (8:54AM). Love bonds, the creative arts, and social activities have a rosy glow around this time-period. However, the Moon-Venus connection does generate a void-of-course lunar cycle in Taurus that remains in effect until 1:57PM when the Moon dashes into airy Gemini for the next 2+ days. Complete odds and ends during the 5-hour ambiguous lunar cycle and then plunge into your favorite crafts and hobbies once the Moon is roaming along in the flexible, versatile third sign of the zodiac. Although the first few days of May will test you by the arrival of Sun-Mars fireworks and Sun-Saturn and Mercury-Saturn frustrations or delays, April 2014 ends on a note of soothing healing as Mercury in Taurus makes a comforting, 60-degree link to Chiron in Pisces (9:23PM). Who else do I have to tell all my magickal antics too? You, you lucky devil, you! Ok, here goes and I will try to keep it short, HA!  Anyway, when we first got the server bill, I was upset. It wasn’t suppose to come due to the end of this month. I was starting to fume at this point. I picked the phone up and called them. I was politely told they had changed the bill service over to a new company and that ended that conversation.

Next, Mystie comes waltzing in with the disconnect notice. That flew all over me. It had just been a few days ago, I had talked to the silly woman on the phone.  Called her back, which I shouldn’t have, but no our disconnect date was chiseled in stone. I politely hung up the phone. During this whole experience, I know I have been building up energy. I could feel it. The final time I talked to our server’s office, my energy had turned into pure rage.

I got up and walked to the kitchen. I always go in there and put my hands on the microwave, stretch my back and clear my head. Well, we don’t have a microwave any longer. I put my hands on it and it shorted out and I also caught the plug on fire. Just one more added expense, brother!

The lesson to take away from this is simple…..never let your emotions get the best of you. I know it is hard to do but always keep your emotions in check.  I didn’t think a thing about my emotions because I had so much on my mind. That’s why I blew up the microwave and set the plug on fire. When it comes to being a Witch, you have to watch your “P’s” and “Q’s,” always. No matter whether it is dealing with a single thought, a look or your emotions, you have to learn to control them. Because as you can see, you can do terrible things if they are not used properly. I know what I did was wrong and it wasn’t my intention to blow the microwave up. I had just stopped there and I was going outside to sit under my favorite tree to ground. I just simply made the mistake of touching the microwave and that’s all it took.

You see you not only have to watch what you say, how you think, now you have to watch what you touch once you have built up power. I occasionally tell you one of my mad hatter capers so you can learn from them.  I hope. Just listen, don’t go and do as I do, lol!

Six more days, seems unreal or at least to me it does. Twelve years of our hard work, blood, sweat and tears all washed away. Hmm, if I had known then what I know now would I have done it anyway, you damn right I would have. I know each day the news does keep getting better and better. Today, we are only $200.00 away from meeting our server’s bill. Something I might need to clarify the people that we get our internet through is the ones that will terminate our service April 14th if we do not pay our bill. I have had a few suggest that I just move the WOTC. It’s hard to move a site when you don’t have an internet connection.

I have had several other suggestions throw my way. Most of them are suggesting that I move the WOTC to another site to get more members. You know at one time I use to think numbers were everything. I was the aggressive one, never happy, I always had to have more members. It didn’t dawn on me till I talked to one of my dear friends and they opened by eyes. “What does it matter if you have 1 or 1 million, if you don’t have the support you need, then you have nothing!” Since then my perspective on numbers have changed quite a bit. Because if an organization does not have the support from its members there is no way it can survive.

But enough with that, we still have 6 days left and it has gone down to the wire once before. Remember it doesn’t matter what you give, we gladly appreciate every dime we get.

As you can imagine, I have been kind of down in the dumps for the last few days. It was late last night and I couldn’t sleep. I got to thinking back when the WOTC was first formed. The WOTC was my baby from the very start. I created her and I had others that helped with publishing information. I was so proud of the WOTC and I always protected her no matter what. As she started to grow, it was like watching your very own child grow. From those very first baby steps to a full grown teenager. And as you can imagine, just like a teenagers the WOTC was plagued with problems. We made our share of enemies along the way. Those who had always ruled the roost and now here comes this new kid and she is walking all over them. We weren’t doing anything wrong except telling the truth about the Craft and actually giving the people what they wanted. We eventually won all those fights and ended up being the number one “Other Spirituality” group on MSN for years. In fact, we were number 1 until MSN closed with over 2000 members. We had really grown from 10 dedicated members to over 2000. We were still growing when MSN pulled the rug from out of our feet and closed down.

With MSN closing, that left all the groups scattered to the winds. We tried to built a home on Yuku but that didn’t work out. I guess I got upset because we were pouring our blood and sweat into this site and nothing worked. I know one Sunday morning, I got to looking around. I saw individuals who were suppose to be Asst. Managers on that site in other sites. Laughing, carrying on, having a grand old time. Oh, don’t get me wrong, they would come and make an occasional post but that was about it. I got to thinking if they don’t give a damn, why should I? So that Sunday morning without a word to anyone I closed that site down.

I was off the internet for a few months. I think that was probably the lowest point in my life. I missed the internet and most of all I missed my friends. I just couldn’t bring myself to even turn the computer on. I had lost my baby. I figured I was a total failure. I guess the Goddess got tired of me dragging my ass and She gave me one hell of a Cosmic slap. Ever been Cosmic slapped, take my word for it you don’t want to get slapped. She re-lit the fire that was once in me. She gave me the strength to pull my life back together and actually think straight. She also pointed me in the direction of WordPress. I didn’t know a thing about blogging, I know for sure it was the Goddess guiding me through it. The way the site took off, I knew the Goddess had a hand in it. It was something to see.

Last night, I was thinking about all that. Now we have a few days before it will over again. I feel like I have failed in my mission and my commitment to the Goddess. I have tried everything I know to do. Nothing has worked. I even went as far as applying for loans on-line. All that got me was my account frozen because I actually hit a fraudulent site (just my luck). Thank the Goddess, I caught it in time, no major damage was done but I ended up with a frozen account for a while. I even asked someone on here to give us a loan, which we would pay back. We had no luck on that either. But let’s make it clear, if someone would give us a loan, I will swear in blood to pay it back.

Back to my depression though, we are now looking at seven days. To think it took all this time to build the WOTC up to what it is and then in 7 days it will all be gone. It breaks my heart, I know what all we have done to make this group successful. Now all our efforts will die in vain. Personally, I have done this for twelve years, I wonder what my life will be like. I will probably be lost for a while. I know I will miss all of you and I hope you will miss me. I cannot begin to imagine actually hitting the delete button on this site or the others. That is very painful even to think about. You start something, watch it grow and in the end it is over with a simple push of the button. Doesn’t seem fair.

I have never been good at saying goodbye especially to people I care about. So I figure it is just simpler next week to push the button and walk away. Of course there will be tears shed probably for a few days. Hell, I am crying right now even thinking about it. I can say I have met some very nice people and we have become friends. I have experienced things I would imagine no one else ever has. I can honestly say I don’t regret anything until now. Now I regret losing the WOTC. The WOTC is a family, we always have been. It hurts more than anything to think I will lose all of you. But I am much the better for meeting you. I hope you can say the same about me.

We have a few days left. I know I said earlier that we would carry on as usual but I found that extremely difficult today. What little time we have left, let’s make the best of it. I do want you to remember one thing, I have always loved you and always will. You have all become very dear to me and will be in my heart forever. I love you.
