May 11 – Daily Feast
Things can be so common, so constantly with us, that we forget to be grateful. Nature has one benefit after another, the trees removing toxins from the air, the earth filtering and re-filtering the water, and the beauty of flowers and lakes and wildlife delighting our souls. Be grateful. It costs nothing and we cannot know how it keeps the door open for more beauty to come to us. American Indians were accused of worshipping nature, but it was the Source behind these things that never ceased to stir their spirits.
~ We return thanks to the sun, that he has looked upon the earth with beneficent eye. ~
