Get A Jump On Tomorrow….

Your Daily Horoscopes for Monday, June 20th

Aries

Aries Horoscope
Aries

Emotional energy runs high today, dear Aries, and it’s important not to invest too much into what’s said or announced. It can be challenging to direct excess mental energy just for now. Your best bet is to give yourself time to process any news or new information coming your way. There can be some second-guessing now, and possibly some mechanical problems or misunderstandings to deal with. Errors tend to have their root in communication problems today. Try not to let the opinions of others dictate your next move. Look for the lesson from your experiences, even if you initially consider it to be unjust. Tonight, you’re likely to feel a strong desire to start fresh, to get in touch with family, and to focus on domestic matters. You are entering a month-long cycle in which collecting your thoughts, reconnecting with your needs for nurture and inner peace, and enjoying quiet activities figure strongly. Your social life will continue to bring some excitement into your life, but your heart is where your home is in the coming weeks.

Taurus

Taurus

A tendency toward deeper thinking is with you today, dear Taurus, which can be productive if you make the most of it. However, with the energies present today, it can be a little challenging seeing things clearly. There may be a negative slant to conversations now – complaints and poor feedback are real possibilities – so be extra aware of your tone of voice and what you are talking about today. Feelings are more complex and complicated than usual. Try to avoid getting into arguments over trivial matters, and getting upset over some small detail. This morning’s Full Moon can bring an intimate or financial matter to a head. The Sun’s move into your communications sector this evening starts a month-long cycle in which you are especially curious and open to learning, communicating, and connecting.

Gemini

Gemini

Emotions can be very up and down today, dear Gemini. People in your life could be unduly critical, too quick to call you out, or frustratingly unresponsive. Even so, today’s Full Moon can ultimately open up communications, pull up buried feelings or emotions, or lead to a turning point in a close relationship. Work on solutions today for best results, as they’re not as out of reach as you may think. You’re likely to have some important and seemingly sudden insight into the past, and how to put certain elements of your past behind you – those that are holding you back from personal growth. The Sun moves out of your sign this evening and will spend the coming month in your resources sector. This is a time for paying special attention to matters of finance, personal possessions, and business.

Cancer

Cancer

Interactions with those close to you can be eye-opening, dear Cancer, but could also be rather unstable and volatile at the moment. It may be better to turn your attention to a problem outside of yourself rather than leaving personal matters open and vulnerable to misinterpretation. You could be struggling with just how involved you want to become today, and this can be puzzling to those around you, as you turn from passionate to bored and back again. Tensions can arise that revolve around looming deadlines, health matters, or scheduling issues. Dealings with others can be tricky for the time being. However, this is a very strong time for putting an outlived attitude or situation behind you. The Sun moves into your sign this evening, bringing a sense of newness to your life. The month ahead is strong for personal initiatives. You are making a stronger impression than usual.

Leo

Leo

Avoid unnecessary stress, dear Leo, which is far too “available” with today’s diverse and rather disruptive energies, but take note of what emerges now. A creative project or romantic relationship can reach a turning point. New information emerges. Avoid complaining unless it’s something that truly needs addressing, as conversations can too easily take a bad turn today. Work quietly on solutions for best results. It’s important to look at the big picture today and to shrug off life’s minor inconveniences and challenges. You’ll feel better and others will appreciate your resilience. The Sun moves into your privacy sector this evening, and you begin a month-long solar cycle in which you experience an increased need for rest, privacy, and a break from overly competitive energies.

Virgo

Virgo Symbol/Glyph
Virgo

While you’re generally feeling quite positive, you could find that doubts arise today, dear Virgo. Others may be wrapped up in their own problems and you can be quite sensitive to the words people select to express themselves. The Full Moon this morning can point to an epiphany or culmination related to work or home life. Feeling a little overwhelmed with decisions and things to do can figure strongly now. If you choose to express discontent today, choose your words carefully. There can be difficulties balancing personal and professional spheres of your life, but it’s something that’s quite necessary for your peace of mind. The Sun enters your solar eleventh house this evening, and there is a greater shift away from a focus on performance towards seeking out a more well-rounded lifestyle.

Libra

Libra Glyph-Symbol
Libra

With a Full Moon activating your communications sector today, dear Libra, and a Mercury-Saturn opposition here as well, there can be some chaotic situations or feelings to deal with. It will be important to avoid off the cuff remarks, as it is too easy to misinterpret things today. The best way to deal with this energy, which tends to repeat itself rather frequently these days, is to look for the lesson in negative feedback, delays, and obstacles, which can ultimately get you into a strengthened and clearer position. The trick will be to avoid taking things too personally. The Full Moon can bring a project or commuting matter to a head. The Sun’s move to the top of your solar chart this evening starts a month-long cycle in which goal setting and performance figure strongly.

Scorpio

Scorpio Symbol Glyph
Scorpio

Energies and emotions can be very up and down today, dear Scorpio. A love or financial matter can reach a head, but the emotionalism involved can be a little too weighty to see things clearly just for now. Wait things out before drawing big conclusions. While people around you can be a little difficult, it may be better to conserve your energy than to argue a point or push an issue. People do, however, have something to offer you, even if it’s in an unattractive package! Feedback may not be especially pleasant, but can ultimately help you to make improvements. The Sun moves into a comfortable relationship with your sign this evening and will transit your adventure sector for the coming month. During this energetic cycle, you are especially interested in the big picture and this can lift your spirits.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius Glyph Symbol
Sagittarius

A Full Moon occurs in your sign this morning, dear Sagittarius. Last month’sFull Moon was also in Sagittarius, and this Blue Moon pulls up more emotions, possibly bringing a matter to conclusion or to a turning point. The day’s energies are on the chaotic side. It can be difficult to express yourself clearly, as much as you’d like to make an announcement. People may not be responding in the ways you had anticipated. Take a step back before drawing conclusions or making statements that you may later regret. For the coming month, attention to your ability to share and blend with others, particularly partners, comes into focus. You may need to take charge of financial matters and resources that are shared with a partner, or that come from sources beyond your personal income. You are drawn to those things you feel deeply about, and a more passionate attitude towards life in general emerges.

Capricorn

Capricorn Symbol/Glyph
Capricorn

A lot is going on beneath the surface of things right now, dear Capricorn. AFull Moon in your privacy sector happens this morning, around the same time that a Mercury-Saturn opposition occurs along the same axis. This can pull up complicated feelings. You are likely to encounter some resistance or blocks to your plans and ideas, yet you could be bursting with ideas and desires. However, consider whether your own insecurities, fears, or even feelings of guilt are at play. The solar twelfth house is a sector of self-undoing after all – watch for shooting yourself in the foot. A secret or hidden information can emerge for some of you. This evening, a new solar cycle begins. This month-long influence brings your attention to relationships, particularly of the one-on-one variety. Your increased ability to compromise and negotiate brings rewards. Sometimes this cycle is about honoring those who count in your life, and it’s the best time of the year for you to do just that.

Aquarius

Aquarius

You may be battling tension, stress, or a feeling that someone is against you in the first half of the day, dear Aquarius. You might feel that you’ve done far more than your share in a friendship without the other person meeting you halfway or giving back enough. There can be an important revelation or turning point in a relationship, or for some of you, a project, as the Moon reaches Full this morning. Criticisms can be irritating, but they may also stimulate clearer thinking and stronger convictions. This evening, a new solar cycle begins and will be in effect for the coming month. Taking charge of your work and health routines is vital now as new information arrives that stimulates you to lead a more organized, productive, and healthier lifestyle. You take more pride in your work during this cycle.

Pisces

Pisces

This is a time for reflecting in order to understand where you’re headed or want to go, dear Pisces. In the first half of the day, there is a tendency for your mind to turn to the past, especially when it comes to love and relationships. Something might suddenly come to mind that seems wrong or unfinished, and this might nag at you. There can be some stalling experienced having to do with household endeavors, career, and personal plans. Life feels a little chaotic. Others may not be as supportive as you’d like them to be. This evening, you begin a month-long cycle in which there is a great emphasis on pleasure, creative self-expression, romance, and entertainment. Even so, you are called to task today, with little chance of escaping your duties! Aim to fill your responsibilities in order to get them behind you sooner.

If Today is Your Birthday: June 19

You are mischievous, playful, and youthful throughout life. Finding any one path to follow is a little difficult for you, simply because you are multi-talented and prefer not to be tied down to any one thing. You are also highly versatile and clever with a personality that sparkles even though it can be contradictory at times. You will go to great lengths for love, and you are capable of making sacrifices in order to sustain a partnership.

Famous people born today: Kathleen Turner, Paula Abdul, Phylicia Rashad, Mia Sara.

Your Birthday Year Forecast

A Full Moon in your Solar Return chart marks this as a year of great personal significance, when major new beginnings, endings, and activities occur. This period is the culmination of a stage of personal growth and development. Events occurring this year may bring various developments in your emotional, psychological, or spiritual life over the past several years to a head. Relationships are especially important. There can be increased activity in your professional and public life, causing a conflict with your domestic and personal goals. There is little moderation in your life this year. Connections are made or ended; or your job focus may change as one focus fades to make way for a new direction. The year ahead is certain to be a very busy, dynamic, and significant period in your life.

The year ahead is strong for organizing, integrating, and planning. There are likely to be quite a few doors opening for you. Negotiations, marriage, and business partnerships benefit. Artistic talent is emphasized this year, and respected – you can truly shine. You are motivated by the desire to strike a balance in your relationships and in your personal environment. Smooth negotiations with others are sought. You are more diplomatic and gracious this year. This is a good period in your life for social affairs, pleasure, amusement, and romance.

Relationships are mutually beneficial and naturally equal, fair, and balanced during this period of your life. There can be a stronger inclination towards togetherness and sharing. You are taking more pride in your relationships. It’s a good time to strengthen and support others, and to build trust. This can also be a pleasantly ambitious period.

You are seeing possibilities in everything this year, which is wonderful, but focus can be a difficulty as a result. There is more joy in your work, however, which can get you far. You are especially versatile this year – adapting to circumstances and bouncing back from disappointments.

You may be displaying more refined, artistic, and harmonious traits than usual this year. There can be some nervousness to combat, however, and perhaps an inclination to stress out too easily during this period. Watch also for unusual expectations – either glamorizing situations or worrying excessively about them. While in most ways you are seeking out harmony this year, there is a nonconformist, rebellious streak in you that can emerge from time to time, possibly disruptively. This is a signal that you may need to make some important changes.

There may be changes in work schedules or life’s circumstances could challenge you in such a way that you need to change your goals or actions. This can also be a time when you tend to resist others and challenge them if they are trying to hold you back. Energy fluctuates this year. If you can avoid rash or impulsive moves, you could enjoy more courage than usual to do things that break the routine or clear the air.

Your unique manner of expressing and asserting yourself is in focus and appreciated this year. Suppressed anger is more effectively released in creative ways. Physical healing can help inner healing, and vice versa.

Relationships are in strong focus this year. Your charm and attractiveness can be in the spotlight, and artistic tendencies come to the fore. It is easier than usual to express your individuality in a manner that is true to you. Communications projects move forward. Love and social matters can be exciting, although at times a little destabilizing. New and interesting experiences are likely, but energy can fluctuate and impulsive moves should be watched for.

2016 is a Number Seven year for you. Ruled by Neptune. This is a year of preparation, chance, and refinement. It is not a time of dramatic changes. Instead, it’s a year when reflection on the past is helpful, and when refinements to your life path should be made. It’s a good year to study and analyze. Unexpected twists to your life story and “chance” meetings are probable. Advice – take stock of your life in order to prepare for more exciting years to come, examine the past and plan for the future, get in touch with your deepest needs and uncover your personal power, don’t strain yourself or actively try to expand.

2017 will be a Number Eight year for you. Ruled by Saturn. This is a year of power and accomplishment. Actively seeking to expand, taking educated risks, and moving forward are highlighted. This is a year of opportunity, particularly in the material and business world, and opportunities need to be seized. It’s generally not a year to find a new love partner, simply because the focus is on the material world and your place in the world. This is a problem-solving year in which you can expect real, tangible results. Advice – take action, plan ahead, seize opportunities.

Your Daily Horoscopes for Sunday, June 19th

Aries

Aries Horoscope
Aries

Your outlook is positive, dear Aries, perhaps a little unrealistically so this morning, but enthusiasm is what you need now. Later today, there could be some complications to deal with on communication and mechanical levels. It can be a little irritating if others are challenging your opinions or shutting down your arguments. However, with an approaching Mercury-Saturn opposition in play, as irritating as others can be, they can also wind up teaching you something useful, even if it’s just about stimulating you to think more deeply about your ideas and methods. The Full Moon tomorrow morning can bring a great idea or project to a head, but watch that you don’t succumb to a feeling of urgency today and tomorrow.

Taurus

Taurus

There can be some restlessness experienced today, dear Taurus, but this feeling can sometimes lead to wonderful new ideas for making improvements to your life. In fact, you can feel quite enthusiastic about making changes, particularly in a relationship or regarding your finances now. Later today, you may be feeling quite uninhibited on an emotional level, and this feels good. Watch for some difficulties getting your message across on a verbal level, however. Challenges you face now, particularly on a financial or emotional level, will eventually help you to redefine your goals or path, particularly in relation to others. Misunderstandings occurring now can lead to clarifications that are actually quite helpful.

Gemini

Gemini

There can be enthusiasm building today, dear Gemini. While you can be up and down, there is generally good energy for learning and clarifying your thoughts, ideas, and plans. Even if there can be criticisms or restrictions to deal with, there is a lot to learn through disagreements. You don’t have to agree with someone to get to a clearer position in your own mind, and that is the nature of the Mercury-Saturn opposition that is approaching. There can be lessons about moderation or practicality happening now. As well, you’re in a good position to show others the brighter side of a situation.

Cancer

Cancer

Enthusiasm for a project, your work, or a health program is building today, dear Cancer. While expectations can lead to some ups and downs, this is a generally good time for seeing possibilities. There can be new methods or ideas for making improvements to your daily life. There can be some serious thinking later today. Mind your energy levels and watch for overdoing things to the point of exhaustion. If problems are weighing heavily on your mind, consider sharing some of the weight with someone you trust.

Leo

Leo

The Moon in Sagittarius today is a little bit unstable, but nevertheless enthusiastic, dear Leo. Moods can be up and down, but you can also be quite spirited about possible projects. An upcoming Mercury-Saturn opposition can point to heavier thinking, criticism, or defensiveness. However, if you let your guard down a little, you can certainly learn something from different points of view, as irritating as they may be in the moment. With oppositions, we tend to experience extremes before moving toward a middle ground. The realities of an endeavor, particularly regarding feasibility and time/energy restrictions, can make themselves known now. There is nevertheless good energy for seeing solutions and gaining new insight into problem areas.

Virgo

Virgo Symbol/Glyph
Virgo

There is a stronger desire to make improvements on the home front or within yourself today, dear Virgo. Personal matters grab your attention. While you’re not big on taking risks at the moment, it’s a time for going a little bigger in terms of ideas and possibilities for positive changes, attitudes, and organization. As we move towards a Mercury challenge, and particularly because Mercury is your ruler, there can be some touchiness, nervous tension, and defensiveness as the day advances. While responsibilities and worries can weigh heavily on you, challenges and disagreements can also set off some deeper, useful thinking that eventually leads to more clarity. You’re moving towards a better understanding of what you believe, want, and need.

Libra

Libra Glyph-Symbol
Libra

There can be ups and downs today, dear Libra, but mostly optimistic and enthusiastic energy is with you. The key to keeping things on an even keel is to avoid expecting too much, too soon. There can be some good conversations and connections on one-to-one levels today. Even so, there is a tendency to disagree or find yourself at odds with someone later today with an approaching Mercury-Saturn opposition across your communications sector. Aim to take lessons from slowdowns, blocks, and even criticism. Although all of these things can be frustrating and feel unnecessary in the moment, good ideas or clarifications can come out of them.

Scorpio

Scorpio Symbol Glyph
Scorpio

You are opening your mind to possibilities today, dear Scorpio, particularly regarding money and business matters. An untapped resource can reveal itself to you in the next few days, and this can come into your life as a personal gain. There is cantankerous energy with us now, but keep in mind that people who challenge you can actually contribute something important to your life, even if they only serve to jumpstart your own thinking processes as you defend your point of view, or if you come to a firm conclusion that you were already leaning towards. Either way, more clarity can come to your own thoughts and ideas through your interactions. Try to avoid getting too caught up in who’s right and who’s wrong, enjoying the learning experience instead.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius Glyph Symbol
Sagittarius

Value can be found today and tomorrow in that which makes you different than others, dear Sagittarius, although there can be some frustration involved! You are not at your most decisive today, and it’s not helping much that there are a lot of options available to you. You might consider focusing on those things you truly know need your attention rather than waste too much time concerned about those things you can’t change or control right now. Be open to suggestions and recommendations for improving your life, and if they’re not forthcoming, dream up some for yourself. The Moon is reaching Full in your sign, exact tomorrow morning, and this can bring strong emotions to the surface. It can also bring you more visibility.

Capricorn

Capricorn Symbol/Glyph
Capricorn

There can be a real desire to take some time for yourself today, dear Capricorn, with the Moon in your privacy sector all day. Even the strongest and most urgent of desires with you now can seem a little overdone later – such is the energy of the day. Plans or ideas might meet with resistance later today, particularly related to work, although personal matters can be involved as well, with Mercury and Saturn moving towards an opposition. Taking a step back from a problem or a small break before returning to it can help lessen “brain drain” and give you a new perspective. Discovering past errors is a real possibility now, but you can also get a chance to learn from mistakes in order to strengthen new and future efforts.

Aquarius

Aquarius

You can experience building enthusiasm for new projects, long-term goals, and/or friendships today, dear Aquarius. There can be some ups and downs, however, and mistakes made tend to come from overoptimism. Even so, excitement about possibilities can be good for you now. Friends can require more attention or support than usual today and tomorrow, and big ideas can be floating around. A Full Moon is approaching, and so is a Mercury-Saturn opposition. These influences can stimulate strong emotions as well as tension over differences of opinion. While others may seem a little negative or critical, they might end up nudging you towards seeing a matter in more practical terms, and this can be useful. Learning from differences should be the goal now.

Pisces

Pisces

There can be excitement or enthusiasm building surrounding a long-term goal, career matter, or reputation issue now, dear Pisces. You may be learning new things and this contributes to a feeling that you’re growing and improving. Decision making, however, can be a little strained now, largely because there are so many possibilities to consider. The key to success is not necessarily to focus your energies just yet, but to gather information and take more time to arrive at conclusions. Whether you want it or not, advice or criticism can come from others now. While it can be irritating in the moment, the thinking that it stimulates can ultimately be very useful, if only to bring more clarity to your own needs and ideas.

June’s full Moon in Sagittarius occurs on June 20.It is another big lunar event, with Mercury, Jupiter, the nodes, Saturn and Neptune all in a big grand cross. This can bring about difficult energies and we may have a strong sense of stress and difficulties. Certainly, we can feel ‘boxed in’ by our situations, like we’re bouncing around from one side of the equation to another. This is an enormously stressful time, however, as always, much can be achieved by knuckling down, working hard, getting organised, and, perhaps re-assessing where you’re headed.

If you read through the Symbols with one eye on the political situations unfolding in the world, as well as looking at your own, more immediate, concerns, I think you’ll find these degrees quite startling.

The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased – it’s like we can see in the dark – and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it’s lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there’s magic unleashed with every full Moon.

The Full Moon is on Sagittarius 30: THE POPE BLESSING THE FAITHFUL.

This is a very interesting Symbol, and, like all of the Sabian Symbols, it can manifest in many ways. This image of ‘Blessing The Faithful’ can be seen through all kinds of lenses, on a personal level, politically, economically. All kinds of levels. Just who ‘The Faithful’ and who ‘The Pope’ is can be a very interesting thing. Whether our candidate is winning in the election, or not, whether we, or our friends are blessing us with their time, energies or thoughts, or, whether we have to be in a particular situation or ‘faith’ in order to be blessed can be interesting questions. We can ‘Bless’ others as well: We can give them our time and energy and best wishes. Divides can occur when people don’t come together as one, as there can be an ‘us and them’ mentality.

The following, including the quotations above, are my full interpretation of this degree from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom:

Commentary: ‘The Pope’ is an image of someone who has an exalted position and operates with a high sense of authority, hopefully with spiritual awareness and love. The word ‘Pope’ comes from the Latin “papa”” and the Greek “pappas”. He is dispensing ‘Blessings’ on his people; those who believe in him, his position and his cause. ‘Blessings’ can also come from worshipping a higher power with people of like mind. Dispensing the rewards of faith upon people who are committed and eager leads to an enlightening of those who receive, and also those who do the ‘Blessing’. A major voice will be heard—who is the spokesperson that will be heard by the collective?

Oracle: There is often a need to create or assign someone as the physical representation of what is believed on the spiritual plane. This person of authority performs actions that give our beliefs a feeling of reality and draw the community together. When you do things that are true to your inner self there is a feeling of connection to a higher power. This feeling is like a ‘Blessing’ and is a reminder of the spiritual purpose of life. The situation or event that is the center of your question may be in need of just such a ‘Blessing’. If you are one of the “worthy ones”, you will probably receive a sign that you are on the true path. If the question relates to a group situation, it may be that you or someone in the group needs to take on the role of spiritual representative, be a ‘Pope’, and reward the group with your words of wisdom and experience. That will help maintain their focus, motivation and faith in what they are trying to achieve. It may be important to show reverence and respect to others, as this will lead to rewards of their own. This can also represent someone having a powerful memory. A noble or regal person will remember the faces and names of huge numbers of people who surround them. It can feel like a ‘Blessing’ to be in their company.

Keywords: Rituals of reverence, blessings and worship. Sincere interest in others. Being on the inside looking out or being on the outside looking in. Recognizing the source of enormous inner riches. Rewards for loyalty. Seeking support or recognition. Eye-to-eye contact. Being remembered. Charisma and presence. Having an audience with someone.

The Caution: Overwhelming political or spiritual rituals. Lust for power. Negating, projecting and transferring one’s shadow onto others. Not taking responsibility for one’s actions. Begging people to dispense favors. Sucking up to be accepted or recognized. Manipulating for desired ends. Nervous reaction to power or position. Demanding obedience. Lording it over people. Leaving people out that don’t measure up or conform. Having people at one’s beck and call.

The Quest Degree for the Moon is Capricorn 1: AN INDIAN CHIEF CLAIMS RECOGNITION AND POWER FROM THE ASSEMBLED TRIBE.

Claiming ‘Recognition And Power From The Assembled Tribe’ is an interesting challenge. It shows how we have to step up to the plate, take on our responsibilities and have a sovereign sense of self. Whether we see this in ourselves as taking charge of our own ‘domain’, or, see this in the political realms, the issue is that one must command respect and work towards the good of everyone – even as far as working for the good of the collective.

This shows the necessity or the ability to be strong, stand tall, be in charge and command respect. There are leadership issues that need to be embraced or addressed. Sometimes we need to rise to the occasion and take charge and this may lead to a struggle for control; you may have to remind those around you that you can be trusted to make decisions or lead others. Those above you may remind you of your lesser position in the scheme of things – are some jealous of your achievements and power? Know when to give way to the rights of others.

Keywords: Assuming authority and the need for it. Benevolence bestowed. Winning by charisma and strength of numbers. Finding a true sense of place. Signs that one should be in charge. Staking one’s claim. The ‘Claim of Recognition’. Respect. Having to stand up or stand out in the crowd. Having the charisma of leadership. Consolidating power. Popularity contests.

The Caution: Power struggles. Over-inflated views of one’s self. A sense of entitlement. Egotistical responses. Taking over. Too many chiefs. Lording it over others. Selfish and ego-driven. The continual need to quieten power battles. Demanding attention and that others follow orders.

The Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy – yours and others.

symbols_sun.jpg The Sun is on Gemini 30: A PARADE OF BATHING BEAUTIES BEFORE LARGE BEACH CROWDS.

This Symbol can show the scrutiny that we, and others, face, when we are judged, put on show or take a front-of-center stance in life. Criticisms of how someone looks, how they ‘perform’, how they show up, etc, can be rather interesting to observe. Is the true face of other people, or, perhaps yourself, being shown?

This Symbol shows how society appreciates and acknowledges beauty and glamour. It is often important to put on your best face and apparel and to present your self with confidence. Be aware that some are getting a lot of attention and there is a potential audience. There may be a feeling of only being appreciated for one’s superficial attributes and values without appreciation of the deeper layers of one’s persona. Displays of beauty and physical fitness can bring joy and wonder, or jealousy and derision, so you may need to be careful of what’s being revealed and who it is revealed to.

Keywords: Being on show. Sheer attraction of beauty. Seeking praise. Displaying in order to get people to observe and/or evaluate. Beauty pageants. Bathing costumes and skimpy clothing. Beaches. Lifeguards. Beauty judges. Nudist beaches. Breast sizes. The mysteries of the feminine. Playing dressups. Gatherings of goddesses. Mermaids converging. The water element. Recognizing superficiality and shallow behavior. Water nymphs.

The Caution: Using superficialities to falsely win support. Giving importance to appearance and neglecting the “beauty within”. Too much makeup. Flaunting one’s body. Leering and jeering. Lusting after the unattainable. Feeling like merchandise.

The Karmic Degree for the Sun is Gemini 29: THE FIRST MOCKINGBIRD OF SPRING SINGS FROM THE TREE TOP.

This is a degree that can show wonderful blendings of sounds, messages and realizations. We may have a voice that needs to be heard. We may have a message that needs to be broadcast. However, it can also show situations where people ‘mock’ each other, divulge things that might otherwise be secret, plagiarise and steal ideas.

This Symbol implies that you can take the best of what is available and make something even better. The ‘Mockingbird’ is often seen as copying others and therefore not particularly original, however, the ‘Mockingbird’ is very creative; it uses the sounds of other birds to make a very unique call of its own. There is a great deal of skill involved in this and getting one’s thoughts heard can be quite important. There are often people who will respond jealously. A key question is: are the words or thoughts original and unique or are they borrowed from others without a sense or filter of personal authenticity?

Keywords: Enormous creative potential and talent. Integrating sounds to find a new melody. Being the first to see potential. Music and musicians. Interpretation. Pleasing others. Getting the story out first. Seeing and telling things ahead of their time. Being an innovator. Passing on messages. Tunes, songs. Positive vibrations.

The Caution: Taking from others and claiming the credit. Being noisy. Announcing new possibilities or just sounding off? Plagiarism. Theft. Scrambling to get in first. Mimicking others. Not having any original ideas. Revving up a story to get an effect. Having to always get in first.

The Quest Degree for the Sun is Cancer 1: ON A SHIP THE SAILORS LOWER AN OLD FLAG AND RAISE A NEW ONE.

This can show a radical shift, a decision, a movement forward, or, sideways. We may wonder what flag we are really saluting. We may have realizations that have us deciding that the old ways have not worked and we want a new ‘Flag’, a new standard to fly.

This Symbol implies a time of dropping the old whilst adopting the new. To ‘Lower an Old Flag and Raise a New One’ marks real turning points in one’s life. Something is changing, possibly dramatically, and the transformation should be taken seriously. Something that once was useful or valuable is, or has, ended and something brand new is beginning or emerging. There should be a symbolic gesture or expression of this change of allegiance. It may help to run any new ideas or plans up the “flagpole” to see if anybody salutes. You’re could change countries, professions, relationships, etc, as these are very significant times.

Keywords: Changing loyalties. Turning points in one’s obligations or duties. Announcing new standards. Turning a corner. Getting rid of the old guard. Letting go of old allegiances and taking up new ones. Giving up old ways. Changing bad habits. Taking the helm. Switching sexual preferences. Sailors. Ships. Flags. Divorces. Marriages. Change of shifts. If you are ashamed to stand by your colors, you had better seek another flag. Anon

The Caution: Quickly rejecting the old just for the sake of change. Fickleness. Not sticking with things long enough to win the rewards of longevity or loyalty. Mutiny.

The Sun symbolizes: One’s core center, spirit, heart, issues to do with father, men, self, ego, your male side. How you radiate your sense of being. What others see, how you are recognized or remembered, sense of identity and connection with male energy – yours and others.

symbols_mercury.jpg Mercury is on Gemini 12: A BLACK SLAVE-GIRL DEMANDS HER RIGHTS OF HER MISTRESS

This Symbol shows the need to be given respect and taken seriously. At times you find that you can’t put up with the way you’re treated, the pressure builds up and suddenly, and probably from out of nowhere, a torrent of emotion comes out. If you’re being spoken badly to or treated with little respect, make a stand – don’t put up with it. It’s tiring to be treated like a ‘Slave’ or dutiful underling. Everyone should have equal rights. Spread your wings of freedom and seek to improve things by being frank and honest. You may win, but you can never truly lose if you act with integrity and honesty.

Keywords: Rising above conditioning and limitations. Standing up for one’s self. Demanding better treatment. Seeking recognition and self-respect. Being in charge of one’s life. Breaking away from oppression. Wanting a raise in pay or conditions. The need for freedom. Desiring property and rewards. Rising up from an “underdog” position or situation. The quest for identity.

The Caution: Feeling hard done by and deserving better. Blaming others for situations. Bucking authority. Demanding to be recognized or noticed. Throwing tantrums.

Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.

symbols_venus.jpg Venus is on Cancer 4: A CAT ARGUING WITH A MOUSE.

I find this to be a rather difficult run of Symbols, both the Karmic (the degree before) and the Quest Degrees (the degree after). There can be arguing, and a feeling of being taken advantage of by the ‘bigger guys’.

This Symbol often implies arguing, taking on opponents regardless of size and the ability to win, and, sometimes, being unable to let things just be. Along with bullying, this can show bickering, which is time consuming, often immature and useless. What is the central issue around what’s going on and what are the old values that require reassessment? There is an imbalance at work. There can be a desire to justify to the other what should be done and why. This Symbol can show a selfless advocate for the underdog; prepared to protect others. Try to stop useless mental monkey chattering.

Keywords: Aggressively and actively taking advantage of situations or people. Hide and go seek games. Aggression vs. innocence. Harassment. Standing up for one’s self. The David and Goliath story. Questioning established power structures. Looking out for one’s best interests. Shock and fear. Cats. Mice. Hiding. Waiting.

The Caution: Time-wasting arguments and bickering. Being aggressive because one can. Picking on those smaller. Fighting dirty. Being patronizing. Power trips. Hiding away to avoid being targeted. Feeling like someone’s prey. Feeling victimized and bullied. Antagonism. Unfair battles. Those who think they know more. Mental, physical or emotional torment. Beating yourself up.

The Karmic Degree for Venus is Cancer 3: AN ARCTIC EXPLORER LEADS A REINDEER THROUGH ICY CANYONS.

This was the degree of Mars in the chart of The Titanic. And, it can signify ‘hitting an ice-berg’. However, if one takes one step at a time, we can get through difficulties and cut to the chase – we can lead by our natural instincts or use a compass. Either way, we need to have the drive to keep going.

This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, of plowing on through cold or difficult times by facing up to difficulties with a brave attitude and a determination to get through them. By adapting to changing needs and constantly aware of difficulties, success can be achieved. You probably need to persevere and progress slowly. There is really no possibility of stopping or slowing down too much as the situation could freeze-up. You may be surprised by “icy” feelings and cold responses. Although you have the natural elements to help, it is more a time of struggling through unusual difficulties than trying to create a particular appearance. Using animal instincts to get through tough times. Facing bad weather and hardship. Following the leader without knowing where one is going. Unfamiliar surroundings.

Keywords: Using animal instincts to get through tough times. Facing bad weather and hardship. Following the leader without knowing where one’s going. Unfamiliar surroundings. The point of no return. Being in a cul-de-sac. Being led around by the hand (or the nose). Treading carefully. Icebergs. Glaciers. Snow and ice. Risky ventures. The Titanic story.

The Caution: Taking those unfamiliar to the situation and unwittingly heading towards danger. Putting one’s self through hard times when it’s avoidable. Restrictive outlooks on life. Frozen responses. Frigidity. Feeling lost, alone, frozen with fear or forsaken. Willingly going the hard way. Lack of provisions.

The Quest Degree for Venus is Cancer 5: AT A RAILROAD CROSSING, A CAR RACES WITH A TRAIN.

This can be a very difficult degree, especially if one gets in the way of larger forces. To be agents of change, we must not get wrecked ourselves, but, prevail and stand up for when things seem unjust or pitted against us.

This Symbol implies the desire, or the ability, to compete with or take on society as if life were a race or something to be conquered. The ‘Car’ is a vehicle for the individual and the ‘Train’ a vehicle for the masses. There is often a need for caution; the individual will not always survive a collision with the more powerful collective. It may not work to be insisting bravely that your individual needs should be considered. The collective has too much momentum. If someone pits themselves and their energies continually against society, sooner or later they are likely to lose.

Keywords: Not looking to the consequences of actions. Recklessly going for an objective. Not considering the ramifications. Lots of people causing problems with scheduling. Having the guts to go against society. Cars, trains. Individual rights. Rebelling. Crossroads. The need for good timing.

The Caution: Recklessness. Sacrificing individuals for larger gains. Working until one drops. Not looking left or right for possible trouble. Going in the wrong direction. Working at cross-purposes. Not nourishing one’s self. Putting the desire for gain before one’s more basic personal needs. Valuing possessions before people. Talking so no one gets a word in. Going off the rails. Upsetting or obstructing others. Wreckage. Emotional panic. Spinning out of control.

Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.

symbols_mars.jpg Mars is stationing on Scorpio 24: CROWDS COMING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN TO LISTEN TO ONE INSPIRED PERSON.

Mars is on this degree from around the 19th June until approx the 13th July. This is a very long time for Mars to be on a degree. The energy is concentrated so much, especially as Mars is in Scorpio. Who is going to be the ‘One Inspired Person’? Who is going to be designated as the one to be listened to? Politically, with all that’s going on in the world, this is going to be very interesting. I have been thinking about Mars being here for some time. I have often, not always, of course, seen this degree as indicating a president or prime minister – a position of political, religious or economic power. What is this going to bring about? If one’s individual ‘Inspired Person’ isn’t the one who gets the nod from those higher up, what is likely to happen? The trick with this degree is to discern who we listen to. It also can show a need to have our own voice heard.

This implies having a message or the voice that others flock to in order to listen. Whether you are the “One Inspired Person”, or someone in the audience, you may feel that you have had some wonderful realizations after hearing inspired messages, from within yourself or from an external source, and now you need to bring these lessons or understandings down to an everyday level in order to integrate them into everyday life. People will have different responses to the messages given. Not all will be responsive, but the message will resonate with those that are meant to hear it. What will be done with this information and how far will it spread?

Keywords: Power to sway the feelings and thoughts of many. The ability to draw a large audience. The Jesus story. Giving one’s power away to those who apparently have more authority. Charisma. Having a large audience. The minds and the ears of the many. Oratory skills. Gurus. Listening. Ascending the mountain to achieve a purer state of being. Lecturing.

The Caution: Naiveté, gullibility Feeling like someone else holds all the answers. Wanting everyone to listen regardless of their input or needs. Demanding centre stage. Situations that smack of guru mentality. Idolatry and the manipulation that can come from it. Forcing ideas on others when they don’t really want to listen. Not letting others get a word in. Snobbery.

Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.

symbols_jupiter.jpg Jupiter is on Virgo 16: DELIGHTED CHILDREN CROWD AROUND THE ORANGUTAN CAGE IN A ZOO.

Jupiter spent several days on this degree last year in late October and early November. One can feel like one is living in a ‘Zoo’. It can certainly feel like that, and, with Jupiter here, it can come about through the political and legal systems, it can show a feeling of some not being very ‘evolved’ and there can be a great divide between people. Fences are used to keep the ‘Orangutans’ on their side of the divide. Social media can throw up some very revealing, entertaining, or, disturbing elements of society.

This Symbol shows the fun and delight that can come from observing and being a part of nature. There often needs to be a primitive, yet childlike response to situations. Facing the baser instincts of oneself and others brings a fresh, new approach to life. Building cages and fences keeps others from being able to relate in a carefree way. Separations can come from seeing others as being different or apart. Seeing the common factors that unite us can be very informative about our own emotions, as well as our shortcomings. Also, you may feel like some are from a different species, a different planet or live in a zoo.

Keywords: Karmic confrontations between the creatively integrated and the unevolved. Objects of derision, fascination or worship. Showing off or acting to get a reaction from others. Trying to relate to others that don’t understand. Feeling like one is in a zoo. Observing others. Curiosity. Crowding around. Everyone wanting to have a look. Going by instincts. Television shows such as Jerry Springer. News networks. The media. Lack of social inhibition.

The Caution: Egoistic feelings of being better or in a higher state of evolution. Having no place for privacy. Gaping at others. Taunting people. Daring others to do something outrageous or animal-like. Making fun of people. Building cages. Hiding from view. Fences and barriers. The intrusion of the media (beating up stories). Eliciting sick behavior from others.

The Quest Degree for Jupiter is Virgo 17: A VOLCANIC ERUPTION BRINGING DUST CLOUDS, FLOWING LAVA, EARTH RUMBLINGS

This Situation implies situations, attitudes or emotions that slowly gather steam, build up and suddenly explode. It pictures situations of catharsis. There may be, at times, an effort to hold things inside, but after a while there can be no more resistance and everything gets forced out. This can be in the form of anger, or passion, but it can also be the explosion of insight and creative ideas. It often works far better to just let things blow, as resisting the urge to let go can cause enormous pressure to build up. Look to see if the force of emotions is really related to current situations.

Keywords: Thoughts or ideas pouring out. Torrents of thought or emotion. Anger that needs expression. Eruptions that are quickly overcome. Pressure cooker environments. After shocks. Waiting for the dust to settle. Cathartic release. Volcanoes. Earthquakes. Earth tremors. Rumblings. Earth changes. Dust

The Caution: Suppression of anger or energy to the point of explosive disaster. Tantrums. Choking the air with sulfurous dust-clouds. Holding things inside. Overreactions. Spewing one’s insides. Flipping out. Events that throw out shocking news or emotions.

Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.

symbols_saturn.jpgSaturn is retrograde on Sagittarius 12: A FLAG THAT TURNS INTO AN EAGLE; THE EAGLE INTO A CHANTICLEER SALUTING THE DAWN

This Symbol shows being able to proclaim one’s feelings, beliefs, love of country or political opinions, without feeling they are likely to be criticized, shot down or dismissed. Our highest ideals can be expressed proudly, like “A Flag” and as an expression of spiritual purity – “The Eagle” at “Dawn”. You may find that you are regularly moved to burst forth with your ideas, giving voice to what you think and feel. However, some may not like the message or what you have to say, how you say it or where you say it. However, issues that are really worthwhile and ‘centered’ will be seen by many and heard in the clear light of day.

Keywords: Declared idealism. Trumpeting ideals. National pride. Peak experiences. Flags. Symbols of strength, unity and power. Truths. The pomp and ceremony of big political displays. Issues of nationhood. Issues of world domination. Elevated views and perspectives. Forceful voices. Reaching for the highest plane. Nobility and pride. Successful outcomes. National anthems. New empires. Messages from the president.

The Caution: Assuming right because of might or power. Propaganda. Lording it over others. Seeing others as being lesser. Crowing. World domination. Loud voices. Bullying.

The Quest Degree for Saturn is Sagittarius 13: A WIDOW’S PAST IS BROUGHT TO LIGHT.

As Saturn is retrograde, it recently spent several days on this degree. What is being ‘Brought To Light’? What is being suppressed?

This Symbol implies revealing issues, secrets or problems from the “Past”, so they can be dealt with. There are issues which will be “Brought to Light”. Perhaps your past catches up with you, or, people in your family or circle of friends have stories, histories, deeds, acts or personalities that need to be handled with care and tact. There is often a healing as things that have been kept ‘closeted’ lose some of their charge when they come into the light of day. Although you, or others, may be in a reasonably sympathetic position in the eyes of others, some may not like what is revealed. Bring issues to ‘Light’ where they can be healed, forgiven and, hopefully, forgotten.

Keywords: Unveiling and exposing—or creating a new and vibrant beginning. Getting rid of yesterday’s darkness. Looking back to revision attitudes. Being freed for new opportunities. The “scales” falling from one’s eyes. Reasons as to why relationships have failed. Remembering. Past life memories. Things being found or discovered. Wills. Inheritances. Death certificates. Burying the past. Pensions. Insurance policies.

The Caution: Old stories best forgotten. Rehashed stories. Someone being caught out. Gossip and family secrets that shame. Bearing the weight of secrets or shame. Loss.

Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.

symbols_uranus.jpg Uranus is on Aries 24: AN OPEN WINDOW AND A NET CURTAIN BLOWING INTO THE SHAPE OF A CORNUCOPIA

This Symbol shows that your mind is, or should be, open to possibilities that are being ‘blown’ in from the realm of spirit. There is an abundance coming, shown by the Cornucopia, which will be self-sustaining. This degree suggests that with the slightest change in direction your fortunes could change as well. Look for out-of-the-ordinary opportunities and possibilities. Realizing that in one’s everyday life, one has it all. Open your windows and blinds and let air and sunshine in and watch good things follow.

Keywords: Imagination. Keeping your options open. The promise of fruition. The breath of life filled with inspiration. Realizing that in everyday life, one has it all. Windows of opportunity. Gain, abundance, riches. Spiritual energies pouring in. Concentrated energy. Seeing desires taking shape. Curtains and windows.

The Caution: Relying on spiritual ideas to provide material sustenance. Thinking that good luck will just ‘blow in’. Shutting windows and doors – keeping light and life out.

Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or ‘different’. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.

symbols_neptune.jpg Neptune is stationing retrograde on Pisces 13: A SWORD, USED IN MANY BATTLES, IS NOW IN A MUSEUM

This shows knowing when to stop battling in life, when to lay down one’s “Sword” and take up a higher position that reflects a more intelligent or spiritual way of being in the world. Sometimes, when reminded of the battles of the past, we are influenced towards actions that ensure peace. We are uplifted by the symbolic memory of past deeds of valor, although stings of defeat may be part of the story. You may be faced with the choice of fighting or reasoning which is confused by your lack of training or experience in the ways of “Battle”. Don’t go down with the ship. It helps to lay down one’s ‘sword’ – not in order to surrender, but to stop the ‘warring’

Keywords: Willpower. Martial arts. Putting aside thoughts of vengeance and revenge. Hanging up or laying down one’s ‘Sword’. Trophies of conquest that remind us of the past. History. Aging and maturing. Retirement. Remnants of battles. Souvenirs of the past. “Words as swords”. The Spear of Destiny. The Sword Excalibur. Disarming weapons. The search for truth and justice. Suits of armor. Peace at last. Sexual impotence. Laying down one’s weapons.

The Caution: Lack of sensitivity. Pretense of one’s abilities. Falling on one’s sword from defeat. Sexual impotence. Domestic violence. Giving up. Grudges. Wanting to go into “Battle”. Selfish agendas. Weapons of mass destruction or weapons of mass distraction?

Neptune symbolizes: Mystical, “out there,” spirituality and con artists. Dreams, mysteries, mystics and religious issues. Intuition, clairvoyance, seeing into the invisible. Addictive, chaotic, charming, deceptive, illusory, co dependent, sensory awareness.

symbols_pluto.jpg Pluto is retrograde on Capricorn 17: A YOUNG PERSON SURREPTITIOUSLY BATHING IN THE NUDE

This Symbol shows getting rid of the restraints imposed by social conditioning and inhibitions; to strip down to bare essentials and not be ashamed of it. The “Young Person” is enjoying the feeling of not having clothes or costume to constrain or cover them. They are also letting the sun and the air contact their skin which is very healthy and revivifying. Although there may be some feelings of being ‘exposed’, really letting go and not worrying about being ‘seen’ can lead to feelings of freedom. This applies to a freeing up or exposing on a spiritual and emotional level as well, it’s not confined to physical realities.

Keywords: Confrontations with one’s self. Reconnecting with nature. A desire to “reveal” oneself mentally, physically or emotionally. Issues with weight. The manipulation of the female form in the media. Exhibitionism. Learning to let go of extraneous things. Confronting puritanism. Being at one with the environment. Releasing inhibitions. Stripping. Streaking. Sun lotions.

The Caution: Suppression of natural attitudes. Bondage to inhibitions. Exhibitionist. Revealing too much. Showing off. Lack of concern for others’ feelings. Sexual exploitation. Feeling ‘indecent’ about one’s bodily responses. Hiding one’s self away. Shocking and surprising behaviour.

The Quest Degree for Pluto is Capricorn 18: THE UNION JACK FLIES FROM A NEW BRITISH WARSHIP

Pluto recently spent several weeks on this degree as it went retrograde on it. This Symbol has been evident in many situations around the world. From armaments, guns, border protection and boundaries, to the option coming up of the UK leaving the EU. Donald Trump with his walls and borders can be seen in this degree, as can the establishment pushing through their agenda.

This Symbol talks about supervision, border protection and control. There can be a feeling of having to oversee a large ‘empire’ where reliability and leadership are vital. This can be a tiring responsibility, but there can be an awareness of the protection of ‘all who went before’. However, political and social restraints from the past could be causing you to feel that you’ve somehow got to ‘wage war’. Issues to do with the government can come up, whether you agree with what they do or not. You may be confronted with having to make your presence felt and guard your territory. Effective supervision will help you to relax.

Keywords: Colonialism. Protectionism. The government, big business and the media. Class-consciousness. Power and political displays. Displays of “law and order”. Border patrols and protection. Strength and might. Nationalism. Royalty. The ruling elite. Supervision. The armed forces. Patrols. Pitting people against each other. Empires. Victory bringing riches. The mother country. The struggle against decline. Flags. Imperialism. The Commonwealth. The rule of law.

The Caution: Artificial shows of strength. Bullying from the “big guys”. Being armed “to the teeth”. Strong-arm tactics. Disrespect for authority. People or institutions that throw their weight around. Anarchy. Traitors. Being antiestablishment. Social disintegration. War games. Civil wars. Feeling squeezed by authority. Rebellion. Civilian lives lost for political causes. Governing forces that deny individual rights. Invasions. Being defensive.

Pluto symbolizes: Unconscious motivations, depth psychology, history. Sex, procreation at a deep level, intensity, profound emotions, taking hold of one’s power. Being king or queen of one’s underworld. Strength, survival mode instincts. Big money. Big power. The Plutocracy. Power vs power struggles.

symbols_chiron.jpgChiron is on Pisces 26: A NEW MOON REVEALS THAT IT’S TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GO AHEAD WITH THEIR DIFFERENT PROJECTS

This shows being able to see, or to accept, when it’s time for people to move on or to part from each other. They need to “Go Ahead With Their Different Projects” – their focus has changed and, quite possibly, they’ve parted ways. There’s a picture here of new beginnings. People will have their own response to situations – not everyone will react in the same way. It can be a good idea to direct some energy into your desires or projects at the time of the new moon. Light a candle and state your intentions with honesty and love.

Keywords: Diversifying. Applying talents in a different direction. People splitting up and splitting off. New opportunities and potentials. The beginning of a new age. Letting go of the old and outworn. Separations. Embracing one’s future without the need for others. Coming to a fork in the road. Divorces. New jobs, directions and destinies. The dawning of a new era.

The Caution: Not giving emotional support. Feeling split off and alone. The fear and loathing of separation. Failing relationships. Overthrowing the old too quickly. Fickleness.

The Karmic Degree for Chiron is Pisces 25: THE PURGING OF THE PRIESTHOOD

This shows seeing through those who hold important positions yet abuse trust or those who make great claims but don’t live up to them. At this time, you’re likely to find yourself leaving others behind, kicking them out, or experiencing falls from grace. Periodically, there is a need to examine moral and spiritual sincerity. It is easy to allow those who don’t really belong to stay because of familiarity or habit. We can lose sight of the ideal through our rationalizing intellect, ego and emotive passion. There is a need to cleanse and purify your life, leading to better spiritual values. What side of the “Purging” are you on? Are you the one with the ‘right motives’? Who’s in charge?

Keywords: Revealing the truth of people for who and what they truly are. Cutting people off. Throwing out things that don’t measure up. Forced retirement and redundancies. Payouts at the end of employment. Dismissals. Opting out for moral reasons. Being fired. Holes left where someone took up a lot of space.

The Caution: Stressful battle over who’s in charge. Blackmail. The threat of being thrown out. Something being revealed. Evicting people because they deceive, lie or mislead or just because they’re not liked. Bringing somebody down. Scapegoating others. Corruption and scandal that threaten collapse. Wanting to appear to be doing the right thing. Coverups. The burning of books. Perversion.

Chiron symbolizes: Our wounds, Chiron is known as The Wounded Healer. The wounds are The Stories That We Tell Ourselves, it is where we have to focus on healing, it can show things that are out of shape or misplaced or in need of repair.

symbols_north_node.jpg The Moon’s North Node is on Virgo 16: DELIGHTED CHILDREN CROWD AROUND THE ORANGUTAN CAGE IN A ZOO

Making fun of others. Lack of privacy. Fences and barriers.

The Moon’s North Node symbolizes: This is known as quite a ‘karmic point’ (although all planets and points in a chart can be ‘karmic’). One’s destiny in this life. The things you are meant to integrate, move towards, become. Destined relationships and relationship issues can show up here.

symbols_south_node.jpg The Moon’s South Node is on Pisces 16: IN A QUIET MOMENT, A CREATIVE INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCES THE FLOW OF INSPIRATION

This shows quietening the mind, spending time in “Quiet’ contemplation, allowing for the “Flow of Inspiration”. Inspiration is a stimulation of the mind or emotions to a high level of feeling or activity. You’ll find the flow of inspiration coming through if you allow it to and the more creative you allow yourself to be, the more inspiration will be in the messages. You may find that with each idea or creative inspiration there follows another and another. This signifies taking time to relax and go with the flow neither fighting against nor pushing forward. Closed minds and fixed attitudes will not help.

Keywords: Creativity inspired from above. Openness to higher forces and ideals. Realizations. Dreams. Channeling thoughts and feelings. Messages from one’s higher self. Finding solutions. Moments of calm leading to resolutions. Free flowing thoughts. The gift of inspiration. Turning on the tap of creativity. Blockages unblocked.

The Caution: Being too tired, only sleeping. Lots of ideas that don’t translate into reality. Loud voices in the head. Wild goose-chases. Schizophrenia. Shutting off from others.

The Moon’s South Node symbolizes: Past karmic patterns to be overcome, can be habits that are good, but can describe things, relationships, issues that you need to let go of, or, hold you back from manifesting your true destiny. Relationships that feel karmic and difficult, memories from the past.

Celebrating Legends, Folklore & Spirituality 365 Days A Year for June 19th

Happy Father's Day
June 19th

Juneteenth

This is one of the “freedom days” celebrated in the United States for the end of slavery. It was on June 19, 1863, that General Gordon Granger arrived in Texas—with the avowed intention of enforcing President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. June 19, 1865, became freedom day for slaves in east Texas, as General Gordon Granger was finally able to implement the Proclamation and force the slave owners to release their captors. The 19th of June shortened to Juneteenth, became a holiday, and its celebrations spilled over into other states including Alabama and Florida, which were heavily populated with African Americans. The high point of the day was the election of a king and queen to oversee the festivities. The queen was bestowed with the title “Goddess of Liberty.”

Midsummer

Midsummer, or the longest day of the year, is celebrated on June 21. During this period, the first fruits begin to appear on the trees. Life is easy and good, there is food, and the cold weather is disappearing. The days are warm and long. In myths, this is the time in which the goddess is impregnated by the god, her belly swells, and new life is created in her vicinity. In agrarian societies, this is the time between sowing and reaping – the time in which Mother Earth “swells.”

The accessories used in the rituals include pink roses, oak leaves, and various symbols connected with the sun. The dominant colors are red and green. This is a good festival for personal spells, as well as for those that are done for the sake of society and the universe as a whole.

This time is suitable for festivals. Witches and wizards celebrate with feasts of fruit and vegetables. Even though it is the longest day of the year, it carries with it the awareness that from now on, the days will get shorter, and the winter will ultimately arrive. This is the time of the goddess as a mother, and she is at the peak of her glory.

Litha Legends and Lore: Myths and Mysteries of the Midsummer Solstice

Happy fathers day
Litha Legends and Lore

Myths and Mysteries of the Midsummer Solstice

Litha, or Midsummer, is a celebration that has been observed for centuries, in one form or another. It is no surprise, then, that there are plenty of myths and legends associated with this time of year!

In England, rural villagers built a big bonfire on Midsummer’s Eve. This was called “setting the watch,” and it was known that the fire would keep evil spirits out of the town. Some farmers would light a fire on their land, and people would wander about, holding torches and lanterns, from one bonfire to another. If you jumped over a bonfire — presumably without lighting your pants on fire — you were guaranteed to have good luck for the coming year.

After your Litha fire has burned out and the ashes gone cold, use them to make a protective amulet. You can do this by carrying them in a small pouch, or kneading them into some soft clay and forming a talisman. In some traditions of Wicca, it is believed that the Midsummer ashes will protect you from misfortune. You can also sow the ashes from your bonfire into your garden, and your crops will be bountiful for the rest of the summer growing season.

It is believed in parts of England that if you stay up all night on Midsummer’s Eve, sitting in the middle of a stone circle, you will see the Fae. But be careful – carry a bit of rue in your pocket to keep them from harassing you, or turn your jacket inside out to confuse them. If you have to escape the Fae, follow a ley line, and it will lead you to safety.

Residents of some areas of Ireland say that if you have something you wish to happen, you “give it to the pebble.” Carry a stone in your hand as you circle the Litha bonfire, and whisper your request to the stone — “heal my mother” or “help me be more courageous”, for example. After your third turn around the fire, toss the stone into the flames.

Astrologically, the sun is entering Cancer, which is a water sign. Midsummer is not only a time of fire magic, but of water as well. Now is a good time to work magic involving sacred streams and holy wells. If you visit one, be sure to go just before sunrise on Litha, and approach the water from the east, with the rising sun. Circle the well or spring three times, walking deosil, and then make an offering of silver coins or pins.

Sunwheels were used to celebrate Midsummer in some early Pagan cultures. A wheel — or sometimes a really big ball of straw — was lit on fire and rolled down a hill into a river. The burned remnants were taken to the local temple and put on display. In Wales, it was believed that if the fire went out before the wheel hit the water, a good crop was guaranteed for the season.

In Egypt, the Midsummer season was associated with the flooding of the Nile River delta. In South America, paper boats are filled with flowers, and then set on fire. They are then sailed down the river, carrying prayers to the gods. In some traditions of modern Paganism, you can get rid of problems by writing them on a piece of paper and dropping them into a moving body of water on Litha.

William Shakespeare associated Midsummer with witchcraft in at least three of his plays. A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth, and The Tempest all contain references to magic on the night of the summer solstice.

Daily Magickal Application for Sunday, June 19th

Happy Fathers Day 3

Daily Magickal Application for Sunday, June 19th

The Latin term for Sunday, our first day of the week, is Dies Solis (“sun’s day”). In ancient Greek, it was called Hemera Heliou. In the Old English language, it was known as Sunnandaeg; in Middle English, Sonenday. All of these titles mean the same thing: the day of the sun.

What do you think of when you feel the sun shine down on you? What sorts of enchantments and energies do you think would be complementary to a day named after our closest star? Sunday brings those bright solar energies into your life and has the magickal correspondences of success, promotion, leadership, pride, light, generosity, warmth, fitness, and personal growth. Astrologically, the sun symbolizes the conscious self and rules the zodiac sign of Leo.

The charms and spells that would complement this magickal day of the sun are ones for personal achievements of any kind-such as if you are seeking fame and wealth, working for that much-deserved promotion at work, or being acknowledged for a job well done. Health issues, increasing personal power, or simply sticking to your diet and being proud of what you have accomplished all fall under the sun’s golden influence.
