The name “Angelite” comes from the Greek “anhydras” meaning “without water”.

Healing: Angelite is used for relief from throat inflammations, and to balance the thyroid. Angelite also repairs and soothes tissues and blood vessels. Angelite is helpful with burns, tumors, respiratory ailments, back injuries, broken bones and pain of any kind. It is also very useful for weight control.

Workings: Angelite counteracts harshness; if somebody is acting insensitively in a situation, angelite will help that person to become more compassionate. It helps to dispel fear, anger, stress and anxiety and encourages forgiveness.  Angelite is considered a stone of awareness, representing peace and awareness. It is said to facilitate contact with angels.
Angelite is associated with the astrological sign of Aquarius and vibrates to the number 1.

Chakra Applications: Angelite is used to unblock energy pathways in the meridians. It is associated with the Throat chakra.

Foot Notes: Angelite is the common name for Anhydrite. It is a relatively common sedimentary mineral that forms massive rock layers. Anhydrite does not form directly, but is the result of the de-watering of the rock forming mineral Gypsum.
Angelite is mined in Britain, Egypt, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Libya.
