The energy is still quite strong. A month ago we experienced our last full moon and it came, with a total lunar eclipse. That Eclipse energy is so big, that it will unfold for years. Many of us are still integrating the transformation we created in collaboration with these Galactic Cycles.
Tomorrow (today) is the next full moon. Venus is in spectacular alignment with Jupiter and Mars all in Virgo and visible in the pre-dawn sky. This is like a constellation of love and hope and connection and new beginnings.
We can co-create with this Full Moon and further our conscious unfolding.

A Celebration for Heroes with a Rainbow and a Pot of Gold.
Hello friends. Welcome to the annual Full Moon in Taurus/Sun in Scorpio. It dawned on me recently that this is the opposite sign energy of the Wesak “Buddha” Moon in May, also featuring Scorpio and Taurus energies. The Full Moon in Taurus is traditionally associated with rest, harmony, pleasure and earthliness in all of its enjoyable forms. This one still has that going for it, but it’s a bit livelier than usual based on some of the other energies traveling along with it: namely Venus, Jupiter and Chiron. Jupiter (Virgo) is conjunct this Full Moon by sign giving us an extra healing boost. Based on the astro-cosmic energies of the past two weeks especially, we can certainly use it. I’ve been hearing from quite a few people that this year’s Scorpio Season has begun with quite a bang. Considering we are still in the “8” Universal Year vibration, we simply aren’t doing things halfway for the most part, so that does make sense. Scorpio energy is no stranger to serving up a dose of drama, intrigue and even despair to get its point across. The challenge is to find the wisdom and blessing within it and yes, there really is one. There is also the Phoenix/Eagle aspect of Scorpio which ascends to great heights above denser realities.
Upon hearing of the Sabian Symbol my lyrical brain went to the lovely Be Bop Deluxe song I shared from below. It was amazing and interesting how well it summed up what so many of us have been feeling as spiritual warriors in need of a rest and affirming fellowship with our light and like-minded posse. Usually the sharing of our “war stories” comes around during Sun in Sagittarius, but this hasn’t been any ordinary year. It’s delightfully synchronistic how that very thought was also reflected in my friend Maggie’s reading for the week ahead.
The 6 of Wands is about success and victory, celebrating with our friends! Our story is about the Valkyries retrieving the heroes from the battlefields and transporting them to Valhalla, serving them a great feast listening to their heroic tales. In the card the ballroom is brightly lit representing illumination of spirit and they are moving toward this light to a door where they will experience a new awareness and rewards for their work in their life and reunite with their Spirit friends, the Unseen, that were with them cheering them on. We too have victories to celebrate; invite someone for a lunch or dinner and be apart of the success for another. The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon is: The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Riches that come from linking the celestial and the earthly nature.
Rainbows are classically associated with renewal, beauty and hope. The “pot of gold” can be seen as being the material manifestation of spiritual success and abundance. It can also be seen as blessings that are not material, such as the love that exists in our lives. It is a definitive “as above – so below” moment. Scorpio energy brings an awareness of our ancestors and unseen helpers. There is the feeling that they are also reveling in our successes and will do so even more if invited.

The shadow energy that is recommended to steer clear of is stubbornness. We are dealing with two “fixed” energies, after all. The high side of this however, is the ability to ground and anchor higher spiritual, transformational energies (Scorpio) into the beauty of physical reality (Taurus.)
This Full Moon invites to see that ultimately our own greatest riches lie within and that is our gift to the world. Also, that to celebrate and share our growth and spiritual success benefits us all.

The Moon today is in a Full Moon phase. During a Full Moon the moon is 100% illuminated as seen from Earth and is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun. The Moon will be visible throughout the night sky rising at sunset in the east and setting with the sunrise the next morning. The point at which a Full Moon occurs can be measured down to a fraction of a second. The time it takes between full moons is known as a Synodic month and is 29.530587981 days long.
In some Wiccan traditions, by Samhain, the Goddess has entered her incarnation of Crone. She is the Old One, the earth mother, the wise one we turn to when we need advice. She teaches us that sometimes we must let go in order to move on. The God, at Samhain, is the Horned One, the stag of great antlers, the god of the wild hunt. He is the animal that dies so that we may eat, and the grains and corn that once lived in the field before our harvest.
We can honor these late-fall aspects of both the Goddess and the God in one ritual.
Begin by casting a circle, if your tradition requires it. Prior to starting the ceremony, place three sheaves of corn or wheat around the ritual space. You’ll also need a statue or other image of the God and of the Goddess at the center of your altar. Around the statues, place five candles — red and black to represent the dark aspect of the Goddess, green and brown to symbolize the wild God, and white for the hearth and home.
Place a plate of dark bread, enough for each person present, near the center of the altar, along with a cup of wine or cider.
Circle the altar. The youngest person present will act as the Handmaiden, and the oldest as the High Priest (HP) or High Priestess (HPs). If you’re performing this rite as a solitary, simply take on both parts. The HPs lights the red and black candles, and says:
A pair of candles is lit
in honor of the Goddess.
She is Maiden and Mother throughout the year
and tonight we honor her as Crone.
Next, the HPs lights the brown and green candles, saying:
A pair of candles is lit
in honor of the God.
He is wild and fertile and animal
and tonight we honor him as the Horned God.
The Handmaiden takes the bread and walks the circle with the plate, allowing each person to tear off a chunk. As they do so, she says: May the blessings of the Goddess be upon you. The cup of wine or cider is passed around, and each person takes a sip. As they do, the Handmaiden should say: May the blessings of the God be upon you.
The Handmaiden then lights the fifth candle, for the hearth, saying:
This candle is lit
in honor of hearth and home.
The mother and father, the Goddess and God,
watch over us tonight as we honor them.
The HPs then takes over, saying:
We light these five candles
for the powerful Goddess
and her mighty horned consort, the God,
and for the safety of home and hearth.
On this, the night of Samhain,
when the Goddess is a wise Crone,
and the God is a wild stag,
we honor them both.
The Handmaiden says:
This is a time between the worlds,
a time of life and a time of death.
This is a night unlike any other night.
Ancient ones, we ask your blessing.
Goddess, great Crone, mother of all life,
we thank you for your wisdom.
Horned God, master of the wild hunt, keeper of the forest,
we thank you for all that you provide.
At this time, the rest of the group may also say thanks. If you wish to make an offering to the God and Goddess, now is the time to place it upon the altar.
Once all offerings have been made, and thanks given, take a moment to meditate on the new beginnings of Samhain. Consider the gifts that the gods have given you over the past year, and think about how you might show them your gratitude in the coming twelve months. As the old year dies, make room in the new year for new things in your life. You may not know yet what’s coming, but you can certainly imagine, dream and hope. Tonight, this night between the worlds, is the perfect time to imagine what things may come.
End the ritual in the way called for by your tradition.
Tips:
⦁ Decorate your ⦁ altar with symbols of the God — antlers, acorns, pine cones, phallic symbols — and representations of the Goddess, such as red flowers, cups, pomegranates, etc.
⦁ If your tradition honors a specific pair of male and female deities, feel free to substitute their names in this ritual wherever it says God or Goddess.

In Cornwall England, Allen Apple Day was reserved for telling fortunes and divining one’s true love. The unmarried men and women of Cornwall would pick an Allen apple. The apple would then be placed under the individual’s pillow upon retiring for the night. Before dawn, the apple was retrieved and eaten.
