This energy’s motto is “expect the unexpected”; this is a challenging and disruptive energy. However, keep in mind the morning after a storm – the air smells and tastes and feels BETTER. There is something inside you that you are holding back from full expression – what is it? Why are you holding back? This energy, while uncomfortable and perhaps, sudden, is very necessary to disrupt an illusions you may be trying to hold on to. You may have unreasonable restrictions placed on you or you are putting unreasonable restrictions on others in some way – either way, try to figure out the purpose. The suggestion here is that you need some AIR – you are restless and you are inclined to want to do something rash; it would be better if you just take a break, quit early and embrace this energy consciously. Otherwise, if you repress the need to get that air, you will create difficulties which could really affect your direction. No self-sabotage!! Pay attention and find an outlet for this pent up, stagnant energy.

This energy stimulates your creative process. You may be tempted to daydream but it is better to use that energy to investigate the deeper meaning of your current process. If you do get to talk to people about what’s on your mind, it is not the time for pragmatic analysis, but more a time to explore the infinite possibilities available to you. You may be more sensitive than usual, opening yourself to information that isn’t always that readily available. Pay attention and allow the information to flow – analyze it later – for now, just allow the ideas and information to come to you.
This energy can make you feel cool and reserved with loved ones. It is time to ‘take stock’ of your relationships and really evaluate the level of balance between giving and receiving. Business or personal – relationships must have a balance of give and take. You may feel more aware of your true independence in life – you cannot truly become “ONE” with anyone else. The goal is to become “ONE” within – integrating your human and Spirit selves in a healthy, balanced way. This energy is higher will versus lower will. You may be forced to decide if the path you are on at this time is really going to lead you to the destination you originally chose. If you have been clear about your desires and willing to sacrifice, work hard (and consistently) this energy will activate a turning point. You will have access to energy and passion that propels you forward when based in love and light. However, if your ego has been leading, you may find yourself at an impasse. This energy is all about power and with that power comes great responsibility. Be very careful of abusing that power as it will likely backfire on you.
This is a good energy for getting to the bottom of any problem, especially between you and another person. This may involve a battle of wills with another person. Just try to remember when you force your will, rather than honor God’s will in your life, you create challenges for yourself. Someone may try very hard today to convince you of some truth that you would rather not accept, or you may do this to someone else. Beware of any attempts to persuade, because they can become the foundation of a very destructive or heated conflict between you and another person. It may be challenging to face things and get it all on the table to be dealt with, but when Pluto is involved, like it or not that is exactly what has to happen for you to get to the next level. And it may be that there aren’t any real grievances at all, but that one of you is trying to pull off a blatant power play. I have to preface this with two things: (1) is when Mercury is involved, it is a relatively fast-moving energy. (2) is when Mars is involved, being the lower version of power (Pluto being the Higher version), reminds us that with power, also comes responsibility. Now, that all said, the positive expression of this energy is that you can control your mind and direct it with passion, getting tangible results. This heightens your intellectual ability and mental capacity (for better or worse). You will be able to clearly articulate your thoughts and you should have quick, effective responses. If you maintain your integrity, this is an excellent time to ‘fuel’ major creative expression. If this energy manifests is negative side, it can make you petty and combative, arguing over nonsense and wasting precious time and energy in ego control-dramas. And if it is not coming FROM you, it is just as possible to be coming AT you (from others). This is the best time to put your energy (Mars) behind your thoughts, ideas and words (Mercury). The power of this pairing is that they are occupying the same space, essentially energizing each other.
This energy provokes a lot of mental stimulation! If you are naturally flexible, this energy tends to make you get bored easily; if your are NOT naturally flexible, prepare to be aggravated. Relax if you can. The Universe may decide to remind you that YOU are NOT in control. And the more stubborn and inflexible you are, the more it will let you have it! First make the meditation jar. Use a jar with a cap. Put in a teaspoon each of all these dried herbs: cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, garlic salt, marjoram, sage, and cloves.
Before you do the meditation, cap and shake the jar gently. Uncap the jar, and carefully inhale the scent, making sure none of the powder gets in your eyes, nose, mouth, or on your skin. The powers of the herbs heighten your psychic abilities.
Now sit or recline comfortably. Loosen any clothing that may be binding you. Close your eyes, and imagine a magical faery castle. Shape and fashion it from anything you like: the moon, the stars, crystals, gems, or flowers. This faery castle is a place where you can go to energize yourself with the magic of faeryland, even if it’s just a few minutes.
Take a deep breath in and out. In your mind’s eye step over the threshold of the castle, and enter it. As you step inside, your senses seem to come alive. You notice that the castle is filled with friendly faeries of all different types. There are flower faeries and woodland elves, winged faeries and will-o-wisps. But at the heart of any belief system lies a code by which you live your life, and it may not have any connection whatsoever to other people’s concepts of good and bad. Start by taking inventory of your life and writing down as many of your beliefs or preconceptions about yourself as you can. Obon Festival begins – Japanese Buddhist festival to honor the departed souls who return and share a life with us during these days. It is also called the Festival of the Lanterns, because of the colorful paper lanterns light the way. On the last day, the souls of the dead return and are given food offerings, accompanied by a silent, gliding circle dance, the bon-odori. In the word Monday, we can see part of the word Moon. In the romance languages such as Italian or Spanish, this day of the week is called Lunes and clearly relates to the word lunar.
On Mondays, a variety of magick may be worked. Because Monday centers on the energies of the Moon, things like psychism, dreams, feminine energy, health, success in spiritual pursuits, domestic matters, and things of family origin are especially important this day.
Mondays are best for love magick and anything concerning home or family, thus old saying, Mondays child is fair of face, which seems clearly to relate to the themes of love and health.
Angels of Monday are Gabriel, Arcan, Missabu, and Abuzaha. Arcan is known as the king of the angels of air and the “ruler” of Monday. Abuzaha (Abuzohar) serves Monday, and is very responsive to invocations and ritual magick. Missabu is a ministering angel of Arcan.
