Your Daily Cosmic Calendar for January 4th

Every so often, the universe tries to throw the kitchen sink in your direction by filling up the 24 hours of time with a wide variety of solar, lunar and planetary aspects. When so many sky patterns are vying for attention and supremacy, expect to go through several mood shifts and mental ups and downs.  In the early going, focus your attention on a loved one’s needs as Mercury unites with Juno in Capricorn (2:09AM PST). A tremendous wave of creativity and enthusiasm arrives a couple of hours later as Mars trines Jupiter in air signs (4:47AM PST), Venus makes an inspirational, 72-degree rapport with wounded-healer Chiron (5:00AM PST), and Mercury makes a supportive, 60-degree tie with Chiron (5:55AM PST).  Not to be outdone, the Moon in Libra puts together a Grand Triangle in air signs by forming trines to Jupiter in Gemini (6:36AM PST) as well as Mars in Aquarius (6:44AM PST). Literary, educational and athletic pursuits look promising.  However, pressing your luck later on may not be a good idea since Venus makes a frictional, 45-degree tie with Saturn (5:30PM PST), Mars makes an abrasive, 135-degree contact with Ceres (5:45PM PST) and the Last Quarter Sun-Moon Phase (activating 15 degrees of Capricorn and Libra at 7:59PM PST) arrives with another dose of frustration or rising discord.  A good-luck charm can come in the form of a supportive, 60-degree rapport from Juno in Capricorn to Chiron in Pisces (7:48PM PST). This uplifting aspect helps to neutralize some of the tensions affecting key relationships this evening.
