This week we are going to find out more about the Goddess Gaia. Which is also another name given to Mother Earth by Neo-Pagans. 

GAIA

Gaia existed before everything; she existed before time. Gaia, the eternal, prehistoric earth mother goddess,, is fertility incarnate, moist, mysterious, strong. She is life energy itself; everything that lives, breathing or not, overflows with her life. She is the earth and all powers of the earth. Gaia is not always a consoling goddess: standing for life and generation without thought of consequence, she has energy and a power that must be approached carefully. All bodies eventually return to her, into the black, fertile earth, to be devoured and to receive her life to live again. As goddess of the soul, Gaia reminds us that the soul develops in dark places and that ultimately soul must be rooted in the body, in earth. She is a reminder that we must ground ourselves into the reality of nature and incorporate all sides of ourselves, be the pleasant or unpleasant, light or dark.

The general search for images of Mother Earth is basically the same as for Gaia.

As Witches or Pagans we do not need four walls, a roof, doors, and Windows to make our church. All we need is a quite place in nature be it our yard, a forest, by a body of water even if it is just a small trickling creek, etc. Or a place in our home to sent up a permanent or even a non-permanent altar to ask a Goddess and/or God to hear our prayers, help us work a magickal spell and/or ritual.

We do not need a book of specific songs to sing to or about our deities. All we need is our voice and to allow ourselves to sing or chant whatever words come to us to let a Goddess or God or both know what they mean to us as an individual. We do now need another book that tells us how we should be living.

We do not need to show off to other people we are a “put your choice of a main stream religion here.” We live our chosen spiritual path and walk in all aspects of our lives every day.

We do not need one specific day of the week to go into a building to “worship” our God. We can do it any day and place; although we do not worship our deities like main stream religions instead we ask them for help and give them an offering, as simple as pouring some water onto the ground, to thank the God and/or Goddess and/or the Element(s) for their help. We do not need a specific God to ask to save our immortal soul after committing a ‘sin’ and because we asked and it was forgiven by him weare are free from whatever wrong we did including murdering another person. We take the responsibility when we haves wronged another living being on Mother Earth an we go directly to the human, Animal,bird, etc and ask for giveness.

We do not need a specific religious dogma to follow. We have many pagan spiritual paths that We many just one to follow or we many pick and chose from more then one path to incorporate as our spiritual and magical path. The way we chose to practice The Old Ways or the more modern Neo-Paganism may change and evolve over time the only constant thing in your Magickal and Spiritual path is YOU!

We’ve nursed our intentions long enough: At the full moon in Cancer, they’re ready to be born.

True, whatever we began two weeks ago at the new moon is likely still a work in progress. But by now, it’s taken on a life of its own—and grown way too big to keep under wraps.

It’s a vulnerable feeling, for sure: sadness at letting go, mixed with the desire to shield your “child” (and yourself) from criticism, embarrassment, or harm. Add this to the emotional release that comes with any full moon, and it’s clear that this one—in the sign of the moon’s rulership—really packs a punch.

And with sensitivities running so high, it’s only natural that we might get a little defensive. Passive-aggressiveness and mood swings are other tendencies to watch out for.

But don’t worry—there are plenty of healthier ways to self-soothe. Enjoy a heart-to-heart talk, or a good cry. Indulge in some comfort food, or spend a cozy evening at home. Whatever you do at this full moon, be gentle with yourself… and with everyone else in your life.

After all, at this full moon, we’re all looking for a safe space.  Fortunately, the sun in Capricorn (which opposes this full moon) provides us with a supportive structure or container in which to process all the feels.

That doesn’t mean regressing back to infancy, though. The Cancer/Capricorn axis is all about being your own parent… the nurturer and the disciplinarian. 2019 HOROSCOPE PREDICTIONS — GET READY TO EMBRACE RADICAL CHANGE

Have you been feeling stuck in a rut? Good news, 2019 is your year to start over. Forget business as usual—this year is all about shaking your life up so that you can do more of what resonates with you deeply and personally. That could mean forsaking an old life, career, reputation, or way of doing things—for something you feel brings your more emotional satisfaction. It could also mean breaking with tradition to create new habits and hobbies that you feel are more heartfelt.

As to where doing things that excite and resonate with you may have been difficult the past few years, this year is meant to help catapult you on some new journey that you have been formulating for quite some time. This journey will be very different from anything you have done in your past and may take some time to fully step into and complete, but will be very close to your heart.

This year, task-master Saturn will finally be making its way through the middle degrees of Capricorn, its home sign, for the first time in 29 years. This will require you to dedicate a lot of your time and attention to building something that is important to you with discipline and integrity.

Saturn, however, joining both Pluto and the South Node in Capricorn will require you to build things differently. What you will be building will be based more on emotion, and take more of your feelings and the feelings of others into account. It is no longer about creating something that is important to you at the expense of others, but by incorporating, understanding and being compassionate towards them.
