Your Weekly Astrology Report for Aug. 31 – Sept. 6

Weekly Astrology: August 31 – September 6, 2015

Lovers rejoice!

The week may start out fuzzy but it’ll end strong so hang in there … and read all about it!

Monday, August 31: Sun opposite Neptune

On Monday the Sun will oppose Neptune, leaving a nebulous haze all around you and your sense of vitality. It might be difficult to get anything of substance off the ground since circumstances beyond your control might get in the way. Another possibility is that you’ll simply lack the “oomph” you need to make things happen. This will be a day better suited to imaginative pursuits if at all possible.

Tuesday, September 1: Venus Retrograde conjunct Mars

On Tuesday, Venus will conjunct Mars in a heated embrace. Venus is flirting, and since she’s still retrograde she might even tease Mars a little too much. Whatever happens in your love life on this day will be hauntingly familiar … but oh so exciting!

Saturday, September 5: Sun trine Pluto

The Sun will trine Pluto on Saturday, and finally you’ll be in a position to make things happen. Instead of aimlessly floating around like you were on Monday, you’ll feel a surge of power giving you all the determination you need to succeed. If you have anything important going on this weekend, you can be sure that you’ll make a strong impression and no one will doubt your command!

Sunday, September 6: Venus Direct in Leo

The best part of the week however, is saved for Sunday when Venus turns direct after having been retrograde since July 25. Lovers everywhere will rejoice!

The Karmic Tools Weekly Forecast covers the current planetary transits which affect people in different ways and to various degrees of intensity. Take notice when it is a Personal planet (Sun / Moon / Mercury / Venus / Mars) interacting with a Social (Jupiter/Saturn) or Collective planet (Uranus / Neptune/Pluto). And pay extremely close attention when it is a Social planet interacting with a Collective planet because that means something *big* is brewing that will move large groups of people along their evolutionary paths. Tuning in to the energy and rhythm of the planets can serve as a useful *guide* as you move along your Individual Path. It also helps to understand your place within the context of the larger Social & Collective Story. Below, you will find out how these energies tend to manifest, as well as guidance and direction.

*NOTE*There are some days when there are NO CONTACTS (besides the Moon), please note that there are no missing entries, we just list the actual Activations of each week + the day they happen.

Weekly Forecast: August 30 – September 5, 2015

8/31 ~ Sun (ego) ~oppose~ Neptune (dissolution):

This can be a very confusing energy. You will be very sensitive to others and their needs and how they relate to your own. You may want to withdraw or not voice your opinion just to avoid conflict, feeling like it wouldn’t solve anything anyway. However, do not give in to the temptation of being “slick” either, that will only bring more challenges your way. You may want to give in to another person’s demands when you have a valid reason not to. Avoid playing the victim. Be honest and up-front with anyone demanding a confrontation at this time, that you would rather gather your thoughts and discuss things later (by then this energy will have passed) when you can articulate your side of things better. Be aware of deception – both on your part and/or the part of others (trying to deceive you). Your discernment is not its strongest under this influence so it is best to be still and quiet until the energy passes. Take this time to do some spiritual, inner work.

9/1 ~ Venus (love & beauty) ~conjunct~ Mars (passion): (2 of 3: 2.22.2015 & 11.2.2015)

This is our primary feminine (Venus) and masculine (Mars) energies merging in a potent way, arousing a need to cultivate powerful relationship (whether physical/sexual or relating/socializing with others). There is a strong need for approval (on one level) and affection (on another level) from others and if you are not interacting with human beings on some level, this energy can also activate your artist nature (Venus). This a perfect time to create something (project or relationship) that is seeded by a deep, authentic love.

9/5 ~ Sun (core-identity) ~trine~ Pluto (transformation):

This energy makes you want to get things done, by any means necessary and you may tend to come on a little strong – but it’s all good. The work you want to do, is work that needs to be done and in doing it and facing things head-on, you will gain insights about yourself you can apply in the future. This intense and powerful energy is transformative in nature and will provoke you to think deeply about your life; what you need, desire and deserve. You may find that some aspects of your life need to be reformed or released – go for it – this energy makes reform and release easier than usual. It’s a good time to make an impression or an impact on others, but be sure to keep it on the Highest level possible. Any actions or statements used to manipulate others for selfish gain WILL backfire on you in a big way. This is a positive, uplifting, transformative energy – use it as such to clear the debris and create the life you were born to live.

Lady A’s Specialty of the Day – Get Lost Hex

Woman

Get Lost Hex

While this hex will definitely force the target to leave you alone, it also causes enough personal aggravation so that he or she is way too busy to bother anyone else.

Materials:

Prepared poppet

Black wax, melted

Lost and Away Powder

Brown paper sack

Place the poppet in the sack and sprinkle liberally with Lost and Away Powder, saying:

Lost and away from me you go

As your life’s sprinkled with troubles, problems and woe.

Pour the melted wax on top of the poppet, and quickly douse with the powder again. (Do this before the wax sets up, as you want the powder to adhere to it.) As you sprinkle the powder, say:

Problems stick like black to crow

Like melted wax they ooze and flow,

And when you think they’re finally done,

More arrive with rise of Sun.

Bury the poppet in an area easily accessible to you but away from your home. To keep the hex active, visit the grave once each week and dust it with the powder.

Utterly Wicked, Curses, Hexes & Other Unsavory Notions

Let’s Talk Witch – How to Construct Your Own Spell

goth woman with crow

How to Construct Your Own Spell

Creating a spell can be as simple as constructing a poem or an essay for a special purpose. When constructing a spell, you only need to follow 12 simple steps. You will also need to take out your favorite pen and the Book of Shadows and come up with the perfect spell for your intention.

First, you need to set up the ritual area and gather the tools that you need. You should also think about the design or blueprint of your ritual as well as the intention for creating the spell. In this step, the first section of the spell is your intention or purpose. You should be able to define clearly what you desire or what you need to achieve with the spell you are about to create. It is advisable to write the words you want to state during the ritual so that you do not get mixed up with the words. You can create as short as a 4-line verse explaining your intention. You may opt to have rhyming words although it is not a primary requirement.

Your second verse should include casting the energy of your desire or intention to the universe. The last verse, on the other hand, should define the reason behind the casting, say, for spiritual knowledge, sharing your love, or healing.

Example of a Love Spell

“I set forth my heart and wish,

for a loving honey of a dish.

I send out my desire for love,

upon the divine wings of a dove.

To share my spiritual need and

life,

with a precious woman/man who will

be my wife/husband/significant other” or

“with honor and respect to be his/her

wife/husband/significant other”

Example of a Spell for
Employment

“My goal is sure

my need is strong,

help me find where I belong

To meet my needs,

employment I seek,

bring me success by the end of the

week.”

If you wish to invoke a specific element, make sure you discern the best that will represent as well as balance the energy you want to create. When you have already decided which element to use, choose an object that will represent the energy the best.

When reciting your spell, visualize your desire or intention. This is similar to the principle of the famous scientist, Albert Einstein, which states that using your imagination creates energy. In other words, making use of your thought is equal to visualizing what you desire. A spell makes your thoughts even more powerful. When you say the words while visualizing your desire, it increases the energy to your ritual.

You can use any tool or object that you desire during the ritual, which you think is needed to cast the spell. Some of these tools include candles, matches, stones, tape recorder/ player, music, Book of Shadows, and a pen among others. Make sure you have a list of the things you wish to use so you would not miss out on anything when you are already in the Circle.

Just like invoking the elements, you also want to decide which deity you want to invoke. Naturally, you need to select an instrument or object that will represent the deity you want to invoke within the ritual. In addition, you should write the words for prayer or blessing to invoke as well as honor your desired deity.

When constructing a spell, decide where you will conduct your ritual, which is usually dependent on the availability of physical resources and the nature of the environment. Your ritual area should be clean and should provide you with privacy for at least 30 minutes to an hour. Furthermore, choose a ritual space where you will feel most comfortable.

Finally, make sure you discern the time for performing your ritual. There are several factors that can be affected by timing. For instance, if you are calling upon a deity, make sure you discern the time of the day, night, week, or month. Deities have specific timing conditions for them to be invoked. You should also decide to perform the ritual in conjunction with a specific location of the sun or phase of the moon.

Seasons of the Witch – Legends and Lore, Ancient Holidays And Some Not So Ancient!

Today Is …

Anant Chaturdasi, Hindu Women’s Purification Festival. Spend some of this day purifying your self or environment; sweep, wash, or throw things away.

Hinduism: Anant Chaturdasi – women’s purification festival held to honor the Goddess Ananta. In India, a women’s festival of purification is held each year on this day. It is called the Anant Chaturdasi, and is dedicated to the ancient Serpent-Goddess Ananta, who symbolizes the female life force.

Eyos : To purify the family spirits, Eyos (masqueraders wearing demon costumes concealed by white robes) walk through the streets of Lagos every year on this date. The Ritual Walk of the Eyos is a religious custom that dates back to ancient times.

On this date in the year 1934, Wiccan author Raymond Buckland was born in London, England. He founded the Seax-Wica tradition of Witchcraft, helped to introduce modern Wicca into the United States, and opened the first American Museum of Witchcraft and Magic.

Greek: Feast of the Goddess Aphrodite and the God Hermes, honoring the harmony of the feminine and masculine in the divine.

Egyptian; Day Horus receives the White Crown

Graeco-Roman: HECATE: The last day of the month was sacred to Hecate. Offerings were made to her in the cross-roads (typically at a place where a side path joins a main road), which seem to be haunted the world over. ‘Hecate’s Suppers’ were put out monthly for her. In ancient times, worshippers would leave a “Hecate’s Supper” with specially prepared foods as offerings to Hecate. The offerings were also gifts to appease the restless ghosts, called apotropaioi by the Greeks. These offerings are best prepared for the goddess on the eve of the new moon, to be left behind at crossroads at night, without looking back.

Daily Magickal Applications for Monday

DAILY MAGICKAL APPLICATIONS FOR MONDAY

Monday is named after the moon. The Latin term for Monday is Dies Lunae (“moon’s day”); in the Old English language, this day was Monandaeg; in Greek, it was Hermera Selenes. All of these different names and languages translate to the same thing: the “day of the moon.”

Working with the different phases of the moon is an important skill that takes a bit of time for Witches to learn. So why not cut to the chase and experiment with the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon in all of its magickal energies and aspects?

Magickally, Monday encourages the lunar energies of inspiration, illusion, prophetic dreams, emotions, psychic abilities, travel, women’s mysteries, and fertility.

Monday Is A Day of Witchery, Magick and Enchantment

fall woman

Monday Is A Day of Witchery, Magick and Enchantment

Think for a moment on all of the witchery, magick and enchantments that you have discovered. Don’t be afraid to adjust spells to suit your own specific needs. Any gentle, illusory, and dreamy charms and spells can be enhanced when you work on the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon. Mondays are a fantastic day to boost your psychic abilities and to tune in to your intuition and empathy. It also gives you the opportunity to work with a different lunar phase each and every Monday, which means in one month you could work four different types of moon magicks on Mondays. How’s that for adding to your repertoire? You are going to have mad skills in no time at all.

So light up those lunar scented candles and add a little mystique to your outfit by wearing an enchanting lunar color. Wear your sparkling silver jewelry and maybe add a pair of dangling silver earrings or a pendant shaped like a crescent moon. Create lunar potions and philters; make a dream catcher and give it as a gift to someone you love. Burn some sandalwood or jasmine-scented incense today to inspire the glamour and magick of the moon. Slice up a favorite variety of fruit that is in season for a snack or share it with your love and enjoy his or her lunar and romantic qualities. Brew up a cup of chamomile tea, enchant it with a little moon magick, and relax and get a good night’s sleep.

Most importantly, get outside tonight and watch the moon for a while. What phase is she in? What color was the moon as she rose? Why not start a journal and write down at what location the moon rises and sets for a few seasons? This is a great way to teach you to tune in and to become more aware of the moon and the influence that she pulls into our lives. Try calling on Selene for her magickal assistance, and call Thoth for wisdom and strength. Get to know the Norse Mani and the Latvian Meness. These gods of the moon have plenty to teach, and if you allow their influence to cycle through your life, you’ll receive many blessings. Be imaginative, and create your own personal lunar magick and witchery. Go on….the moonlight becomes you.

Witches

As the sun sets

The moon rises.

We are called.

Gathering deep in the forest

Our capes flap in the wind.

Hoods covering our head

As we form our circle

Hand in hand we take our places.

The elements are called forth:

Wind, rain, earth and fire.

We are filled with their energy.

In a low chant

We call for our Mother.

The Goddess answers our call,

She stands before us,

Center in our circle.

We lower our heads to her grace.

Our circle is filled with her love.

Energy flows from her to us.

Slowly we rise;

Our feet no longer touch the ground.

Wind rips through the trees.

Flames raise high from the fire.

Rain beats on the earth below

Yet, we remain dry.

Power transfers from Sister to Sister.

The Goddess’s influence is felt.

Sounds from the forest fill the air.

All is alive.

Energy fills all there,

We know who we are,

The Witches of the present.

Those long past have joined us.

We know our beginning.

We know our past.

We know our future,

Witches now and forever.

Oh, What A Glorious Morn’! Oh, What A Glorious Day! A Very Happy & Blessed Monday to All!

Lisa Lambe, Celtic Woman
You really ought to be glad you can’t hear me sing, lol! I can’t carry a tune in a bucket! Yes, that bad! I hope everyone had a get weekend. I know we were off for two days (well everyone else was except me) and you probably thought we were all on a mini-vacation. Hmm, what does that word, “vacation” mean? There are times it seems like I work 24 hours a day. I use to be accused of doing spells in my sleep, oh brother! But everyone else took the weekend off or rather I ran them off. And I am sure you can tell what I was doing all weekend. This site has gotten so big that if you do just the blog page, it takes a few hours. But if you re-do the entire site it takes at least two days. For a change I actually got everything done on this site ahead of schedule. I still have a few other sites to do on Blogger but they ain’t hurting.

I hope you like the new look. Nothing major changed. Everything is in its spot, just different graphics. Enjoy the new look and I am off to get to work….

Have a very Blessed Monday & a Super Fantastic Week,

Love ya,

Lady A

Puppis A Supernova Remnant
Image Credit & Copyright: Don Goldman

Explanation: Driven by the explosion of a massive star, supernova remnant Puppis A is blasting into the surrounding interstellar medium about 7,000 light-years away. At that distance, this colorful telescopic field based on broadband and narrowband optical image data is about 60 light-years across. As the supernova remnant expands into its clumpy, non-uniform surroundings, shocked filaments of oxygen atoms glow in green-blue hues. Hydrogen and nitrogen are in red. Light from the initial supernova itself, triggered by the collapse of the massive star’s core, would have reached Earth about 3,700 years ago. The Puppis A remnant is actually seen through outlying emission from the closer but more ancient Vela supernova remnant, near the crowded plane of our Milky Way galaxy. Still glowing across the electromagnetic spectrum Puppis A remains one of the brightest sources in the X-ray sky.
