Aries Tarotscope (March 21 – April 19)

Your card for the week: 10 of Wands

Has it felt like you’ve been shouldering the weight of the world? The 10 of Wands acknowledges an immensely heavy burden you’ve been carrying around. It’s possible you’ve taken on too much in trying to meet your goals, and now it’s essential you ask for help or scale back on what you’ve committed yourself to. This may be a tough pill to swallow, because there’s issues of pride and an unwillingness to delegate at play. However, you’ve reached a point where your ability to meet your goal is compromised. You deserve to enjoy life, so ask for that helping hand this week.

Taurus Tarotscope (April 20 – May 20)

Your card for the week: 3 of Cups

Let the good times flow! The 3 of Cups is a card of celebration and friendship, so you could find yourself in “party mode” this week with those closest to you. Organize a night out on the town with friends. Host a dinner party for family. Gather a few coworkers and hit up a happy hour. This isn’t about what you do as much as it is the camaraderie of it all. Life isn’t all about responsibilities and commitments, so feel free to let loose and enjoy yourself right now!

Gemini Tarotscope (May 21 – June 20)

Your card for the week: 7 of Wands

The 7 of Wands is urging you to stand your ground this week. Receiving this card indicates you’re experiencing some kind of opposition or roadblock in your life right now. Your initial instinct may be to retreat, giving into whatever challenge is standing in your way. However, it’s important to stand up for what you believe in. Setbacks are inevitable but giving up is not. Put on your emotional armor and draw upon your courage and inner strength as you tackle this obstacle, so you can eventually overcome it.

Cancer Tarotscope (June 21 – July 22)

Your card for the week: The World

Your message for the week is one about creating more balance in your life. The Tarot gives you many opportunities to consider this theme, but The World card is quite possibly the ultimate expression of that need. This card is encouraging you look at every realm of your existence: emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual. Have you been lacking harmony in one of these areas? If so, you’re being advised to not only figure out how to achieve that balance, but how to maintain it as well.

Leo Tarotscope (July 23 – Aug. 22)

Your card for the week: 9 of Cups

Receiving the 9 of Cups could signal that this is the week when your stars will finally begin to align. When this card appears in a reading, it is a signal from the universe that everything in your life is as it should be. This dose of fortunate energy could mean feeling perfectly content in your job, your relationship, your friendships — your emotional cup could truly runneth over! Take the time to stop and appreciate the abundance of blessings life is offering you right now.

Virgo Tarotscope (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22)

Your card for the week: 10 of Pentacles

Lucky you! The 10 of Pentacles represents security, as well as success and accomplishment. Have you not been properly recognized for your professional efforts? Has it felt like the universe has put one obstacle after another in front of you? Has money been tight? Have you felt deflated in matters of the heart? Well, good news has arrived! You could finally see things coming together for you this week in one or more of these areas, rewarding you with a sense of satisfaction for staying the course no matter how tough things were.

Libra Tarotscope (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22)

Your card for the week: Knight of Pentacles

Have you had your head in the clouds recently? The Knight of Pentacles is urging you to come back down to Earth this week and apply effort to your ideas this week. Maybe you’ve been suffering from a case of “all talk and no action.” Alternately, you could be putting off your day-to-day responsibilities in favor of more exciting offers. No matter what your situation, you’re being encouraged to create a plan of action or stick to a routine as progress is best achieved through discipline.

Scorpio Tarotscope (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)

Your card for the week: Ace of Cups

You’re going to ride the wave of good vibes this week! The Ace of Cups is signaling a time that is overflowing with positive emotional energy: love, happiness, creativity, and compassion. It also signifies the ability to strengthen your existing relationships — and perhaps meet a new friend or lover! If you’ve felt closed off lately, it’s time to open your heart to allow the love and peace you deserve in. This is your chance to sip from the cup of profound spiritual fulfillment, so drink up!

Sagittarius Tarotscope (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)

Your card for the week: King of Swords

Your mind is greatest asset this week! You may be facing a major decision or exploring uncharted territory in a specific area of your life. The King of Swords is encouraging you to use logic and intellect to navigate this situation, rather than allowing yourself to get swept up in emotion. You will only define the right road to go down once you’ve truly gotten to the heart of the matter, and this can only happen when impartiality is exercised. Give yourself the opportunity to view this through a much clearer lens and you’ll see the path appear.

Capricorn Tarotscope (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)

Your card for the week: Page of Wands

The Page of Wands wants you to embrace your more free-spirited side this week! Sometimes it’s easy for us to get stuck in our routines or to keep going along with what’s most comfortable for us. However, there’s so much more to life left to explore! What is that you’ve been wanting to do but thought you couldn’t? No dream is too big or small right now. When you combine your passion with your enthusiasm, the sky will truly be the limit for you.

Aquarius Tarotscope (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)

Your card for the week: King of Wands

An opportunity could present itself to you this week, and the King of Wands is acknowledging that you have the strength and fortitude to accept it! Have you shied away from leadership roles in the past? Have you felt overwhelmed by taking on more responsibilities? Now is the time stand firm in your power and own the visions you have. The key to success is becoming very clear about where you want to go and setting realistic goals that will help you get there. Go out there and grab the brass ring!

Pisces Tarotscope (Feb. 19 – March 20)

Your card for the week: King of Cups

Your theme for the week is successful application of strength. More specifically, emotional fortitude. The King of Cups is a person of insight and is very emotionally balanced and in control. Receiving this card is a reminder to harness your emotional maturity as you deal with a curveball life recently threw at you. Your initial instinct may have been to repress any emotions you had about this situation. Conversely, you could have let your emotions get the best of you. This card is urging you to use your heart AND your head as you navigate this personal challenge.

Astrology of Midlife

Astrology of Midlife

Discover the life-changing effects of the outer planets’ cycles

Maria DeSimone

Men and women of every race and culture commiserate with the phase of life we like to call the “midlife crisis.” Believe it or not, there are key astrological cycles we’ll go through during our early 40s that help us move toward a level of individuation we simply could not have achieved until these years. That is, if they don’t drive us crazy first.

It all begins with the Pluto square

Your midlife crisis peaks at around age 40-42, when we all experience the famous Uranus opposition. More on that in a minute, but first let me introduce you to the transit that opens wide the door to midlife for us — kind of like the grim reaper. You know, I must be talking about a Pluto transit and it happens to be called the Pluto square.

For each of us, between the ages of 36-42 (depending on the year you were born), transiting Pluto in the sky will make a square to your natal Pluto placement. This transit forces us to confront what is no longer working in our life. What has died … or is about to die.

Youth as we know it dies at this time while midlife is born. There’s just no denying it — our bodies and lives are rich with maturity and responsibility now. We’re raising kids, building our careers and often in significant relationship transition. There is major internal pressure during the Pluto square to recognize where in your life there is stagnation. If you refuse to change it, the Pluto square makes that area of your life shatter.

Don’t be afraid of it, though: the Pluto square might lead to a symbolic death of life the way we knew it, but you can be certain that it also paves the way for an important new beginning.

During my Pluto square I was going through a divorce and simultaneously building my Astrology career. Loss was certainly everywhere, but now that I’m past the Pluto square I can say without a doubt that the “death” needed to happen in order for me to turn the page in the book of my personal life and begin this next exciting chapter. And so it is with everyone who goes through a Pluto square.

Next up is the Neptune square

Your Neptune square happens at around age 40, and it has a lot to do with a shift in spiritual values — even a sense of confusion about where you are. If you’ve ignored the Neptunian part of life, this time might coincide with a spiritual quest.

If you do this midlife cycle wrong, you might drink too much or practice another unhealthy escapist behavior. You might take stock of your achievements up until now and feel like they’re worthless. A sense of disappointment is possible, and ultimately this will prompt you towards questioning your life and purpose in a deeper way. Ultimately, you will be spiritualized

Your midlife crisis peaks with the Uranus opposition

Soon after — or around the same time — the famous Uranus opposition happens. THIS is when our world turns upside down. At around age 40-42, transiting Uranus will oppose our natal Uranus and we realize that half of our life is behind us and the other half is still ahead. This is a major personal awakening that often results in a restless energy that needs to be externalized. We recognize with a sense of urgency that we only have one more chance at making our lives into what we really want it to be.

THIS is when middle-aged married men buy the red sports car and have an affair with a 25-year-old. This is when the homemaker decides to go back to college, unsettling everyone in her family. This is when the confirmed bachelor gets married and the couple you thought would be together forever announce their divorce.

We’re not old, but we’re no longer young, and this realization leads to a major life assessment. It’s time to either meet or revamp the goals we set when we were in our 20s. This is the cycle we truly individuate and begin to live life on our own terms. Hopefully, we can accomplish this without a rebellious outburst, but it’s usually part of the package. One thing is certain: After this cycle, life is forever changed.

Your Saturn opposition is a reality check

Then, at around age 44 or so, we experience the Saturn opposition, when transiting Saturn opposes our natal Saturn. This is when we get a major reality check and need to face the consequences of the choices we made during our Uranus opposition. Remember, this transit will happen after the Uranus opposition and you WILL somehow “pay the piper” if you acted too recklessly during your midlife tantrum.

Born on Monday, January 14? Happy Birthday, Dear Capricorn!

Happy Birthday

 Happy Birthday, Dear Capricorn!

Work hard and party hard with the zodiac’s ambitious Goat

Riches of the material world come easy to you, but the treasures of friendship, family and love are even more precious. In fact, those are the three main reasons you work so hard.

If you were born on January 14, you have a gift for seeing the big picture and not letting life’s nagging details get you down. A born risk-taker, you live life on the edge, striving for excitement and tackling the unknown without fear. Learning to value your relationships as much as you value freedom and success is key. If you’re able to balance your friends and family with your go-getting needs, you’ll be very happy.

At your best: Shrewd, brave, innovative
At your worst: Stubborn, obsessive, misunderstood

More About Capricorn

Tradition is your middle name, Capricorn. And when it comes to birthday celebrations, you’re all about enjoying it in a time honored way. As someone who appreciates everything antique, you might actually be one of the few signs who don’t cringe at the thought of getting older. In fact, it makes you feel more important somehow … as if you are finally morphing into the respected authority figure you strive to be.

Party Responsibly

Even though it’s your birthday, in many ways it’ll still be business as usual for you. You’re one of the most ambitious and responsible signs, and tend to put your professional aspirations above all else. Success is where you aim, and luckily, even though it takes many years and plenty of diligent effort, you typically end up realizing any goal you set for yourself. You are more reserved and cautious than most but that won’t stop you from enjoying your special day. Your approach might be less party animal and more prudent, but that doesn’t mean you don’t know how to have fun. You simply tend to do it on a budget and with a curfew. Hey — there’s a reason why you’re so successful. Knowing your limits is one of them!

If you have one fault it’s that you take life so seriously that occasionally you may fall into fits of melancholy. This is due to the fact that you view life with stark realism, a tendency that leaves little room for imaginings and faith. But at least on your birthday, consider making an exception. When your loved ones light the candles on your cake, go ahead and make a wish. This year, why not even trust that it might come true?

Your Daily Horoscopes for Monday, January 14

Your Daily Horoscopes for Monday, January 14

Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or big purchases from 10:30 AM to 2 PM EST today (7:30 AM to 11 AM PST). After that, the Moon moves from Aries into Taurus.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Today is full of surprises. For starters, you feel restless, excitable and possibly rebellious. Who knows what’s going to happen next? Meanwhile, your Spidey sense is very tuned in to parents, bosses, VIPs and the police. Maybe you do know what’s going to happen next!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Because your idealism is aroused today, you might surprise yourself by impulsively doing something. You might follow your intuitions, whims or desires because you want to visit someplace beautiful or talk to someone who inspires you. (Sounds kinda exciting!)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

A friend, perhaps a female, might do something that catches you off guard today. It might be stimulating or it might stop you in your tracks. Perhaps new information will inspire you to be generous to others or help you do fundraising or make your mark?

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Tread carefully because bosses, parents and VIPs might suddenly overreact or do something you least expect. Stay light on your feet so that you can jump in either direction. Meanwhile, a heart-to-heart talk with a friend or partner might be meaningful for you today. (Gosh.)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Travel plans might change today. They might be cancelled, delayed or suddenly introduced into your schedule! Yes, it’s a crapshoot. Meanwhile, someone at work might need your counsel or sympathetic ear; or perhaps you are the one who needs the sympathetic ear of someone else?

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Double check banking details and anything to do with inheritances and insurance matters because something unusual might impact these areas. Stay on top of things. Meanwhile, this can be a creative day for you if you work in the arts. Romance will be pie-in-the-sky romantic!

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

A partner or close friend might overreact today or do something that catches you off guard. (Whaaat?) Family discussions will be mutually sympathetic and supportive, which is a good thing. Be open to what others say and listen with sincerity because you’ll be glad you did.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Something unpredictable might impact your job today – computer crashes, power outages, staff shortages, equipment breakdowns, something unexpected. Fortunately, you are very tuned in today and can pick up on the vibes of others and quickly see what people want. (This is helpful.)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Parents should be vigilant today because this is an accident-prone day for your kids. Social plans might change. An unexpected invite might come your way. On the other hand, a fun event might be cancelled. If shopping today, don’t go overboard on luxurious elegance, cuz you will be tempted!

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Something might disturb your family routine today. Small appliances might break down or minor breakages could occur. A domestic spat, especially with a female relative, might happen. Fortunately, you are dialed in and ready to deal with anything.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a mildly accident-prone day so pay attention to everything you say and do. You might also be distracted because you have some way out ideas today. You are thinking outside of the box and living in a parallel universe so to speak.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Keep an eye on your money so that you don’t lose cash or damage anything that you own. Meanwhile, an exchange with a friend or a member of a group will be heartwarming. You feel that there is a mutual understanding and a warm appreciation of what is going on,n which is bonding and reassuring.

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Jason Bateman (1969) shares your birthday today. You are organized and easy to get along with. You are always loyal and devoted to your loved ones. This year is a time of completions and taking inventory because you are wrapping up a nine-year cycle. Expect to say goodbye to people, places and possessions. The good news is you are moving away from heavy burdens to something new and lighter!

HERE’S HOW TO READ YOUR HOROSCOPE THE RIGHT WAY

HERE’S HOW TO READ YOUR HOROSCOPE THE RIGHT WAY

I know what you’re thinking: there’s a WRONG way to read my horoscope?

Yes, friend. Wrong. And not just kind of wrong (like, McDonald’s breakfast on a hangover when no one is watching, wrong), but flat out, wrong wrong.

The reason? Horoscopes are written for ascendant, or rising signs, and you’ve been likely reading for your sun sign. If your sun and ascendant sign happen to be the same zodiac sign, you’re fine. You can ignore this whole article.

But, it’s much more likely they’re not the same, in which case, you need to keep reading.

 HISTORY OF THE HOROSCOPE

This all started way back in ancient Egypt.

Egyptian culture has had a profound influence on astrology, which was itself a product of cross-pollination spanning most of the ancient world. It was the Egyptians, however, who are likely responsible for the advent of the ascendant, if but inadvertently.

To measure time during the night, when the sun was hidden and could not be relied upon as a time-tracking tool, the Egyptians split the sky into ten-degree segments, also called decans. These decans started to accumulate meanings over time, whereby being born when a particular decan rose over the horizon could have auspicious significance.

Eventually, the concept of a rising decan morphed into the idea of an ascendant sign, synonymous with the zodiac sign that rose over the horizon at the exact moment of birth. The ancient Greek astrologers called this point the ‘horoskópos’, the horoscope, or ‘hour marker.’

So, it turns out that the term ‘horoscope’ which we casually throw about as an epithet for that snippety bit of astro-insight usually found in the back pages of a magazine or newspaper, means no such thing. The horoskópos, a.k.a. the ascendant, is about something much more profound: it marks a child’s first breath, when the soul enters the body and this life for the first time.

Later referred to in ancient astrological texts as ‘the helmsman’, the ascendant and its ruler were considered responsible for steering our souls through life, for better or for worse.

The creation and adoption of the ascendant was one of the first steps in astrology’s evolution from omen-based forecasting to a craft that could focus its sights on an individual’s fortunes. And if you plan on using astrology in any form or fashion to know more about your own fortunes, you’d better get cozy with your ascendant sign, pronto.

RISING SIGN VS SUN SIGN: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

If you aren’t already aware, the ascendant is a highly personal astrological point typically found in the first house of the natal chart. Sometimes called the rising sign, the ascendant is the quickest changing point in the chart, moving much faster than either the sun or moon.

This is why astrologers, as well as your friend who dabbles in amateur astro-sleuthing, are so concerned about the time you were born. Without a relative level of birth time accuracy, it can be very difficult to ascertain the sign or degree of the ascendant.

This becomes a problem for a few reasons. Firstly, the sign, ruler of, and aspects to the ascendant are incredibly important. Planets near the ascendant are particularly so, as they can deftly texture our appearance, personality, and how we come across to others. Without an accurate birth time, however, it becomes very hard to know the position of the ascendant.

Secondly, the sign of the ascendant cements the chart into being. The natal chart is comprised of twelve different houses, which act as celestial stages where the drama of life plays out. The ascendant sign naturally dictates which zodiac sign will rule the first house of the natal chart, which in turn sets the signs and boundaries of every other house thereafter.

HOW ARE HOROSCOPES WRITTEN, ANYWAY?

To write horoscopes, astrologers pivot on the sign of the first house: to write Aries, they put Aries on the first house, to write Taurus, they then put Taurus as the sign of the first house, and so on, throughout the zodiac. Each time this is done, they reassess the house positions of the planets and write their reflections accordingly.

This has major ramifications for the average horoscope reader. Unbeknownst to you, the horoscope you’ve been loyally reading for years as an ‘Aries’ was for Aries rising.

To illustrate this, let’s use an example. Say an astrologer wants to focus on Venus’ transit of Libra in their upcoming horoscopes. As an Aries sun sign, you read your Aries horoscope as per usual, understanding that this means Venus would affect the seventh house of partners in romance and business. Venus transiting this space may bring us closer together to partners or highlight the need to find equilibrium in partnerships by using Libran tactics like objectivity and diplomacy.

Reflecting on how we’re connecting to our partners is never bad advice, but it may not be as helpful an edict as it could be, if there was a more accurate horoscope in store for you. Going further with our example, let’s imagine that you’re still an Aries sun, but have just realized that Taurus is your rising sign.

For Taurus rising, this same horoscope would mean that Venus’ journey through Libra would affect the sixth house instead of the seventh, which deals with health, colleagues, chores and errands. Our workplace may become a place of relative ease during this transit, and we may feel more able to achieve moderation in managing our health.

Neither horoscope is better than another, but it may very well be the case that one more closely mimics how our life is unfolding in real time.

SO NOW WHAT?

Now that you cannot un-know the importance of your ascendant, à la Spike Lee, do the right thing: get your chart done and find out your ascendant sign.

After that, there are no hard-set rules. Note your ascendant sign and start reading the horoscope connected to that sign as a first port of call. Many ardent followers of Astrology read their sun sign horoscope as a secondary, ‘symbolic’ horoscope to layer on top of their ascendant sign horoscope; some even read horoscopes associated with their sun, ascendant, and moon sign.

As ever, your horoscopes (like all astrological info) are tools for you to use as you see fit. Find out what works best for you, and go with it!

Your General Horoscopes for the Week of January 14

Your General Horoscopes for the Week of January 14

Claire Petulengro, Astrologer

From The Astrology Room

ARIES (March 21st-April 20th)

You can achieve whatever you want to Aries. You just have to believe in yourself. Start as you mean to go on and work out this week what is you think you want. Once you have made up your mind with confidence, then it will be impossible for others not to follow your lead. Make time for younger people, they have important advice to ask you.

TAURUS (April 21st-May 21st)

If you dream it, you can be it Taurus. You just need to keep on your track instead of veering off onto the road others choose. You know you are a strong sign, so don’t pretend otherwise. Time spent going over facts and figures can help you feel more in control of where your future is going and what sort of plans you can make for the year ahead.

GEMINI (May 22nd-June 21st)

You only need to take one day at a time, not several as you have been doing. You learn this week that the lack of help was only due to you not asking for it at the beginning of the month. You take steps to make your life an easier place to be. Watch out for an ex trying to get something they do not deserve to have.

CANCER (June 22nd-July 23rd)

I know you were expecting news by now, but hang on in there. I see Cancer that all your close ones want is to love and support you. By allowing them into the many delicate issues taking place in your life you really can turn a dream into a reality. Check bills on Friday when mistakes are highly likely.

LEO (July 24th-August 23rd)

The sky is not the limit Leo. In fact, there is a whole wide world out there and a life waiting for you to live it. Some of your sign will be considering relationships or friendships that come with an age difference. Try to remember that you always were more mature than other signs your age.

VIRGO (August 24th-September 23rd)

Try not to worry what others think about your actions, but instead focus on how you feel about events. It’s what will ensure you that you reach the decisions which are right for you and your needs. A mix up in communications on Friday could get very messy, so try to go to the source and not their friends to get order to your life again.

LIBRA (September 24th-October 23rd)

I can see how hard you are trying to do the right thing, but I also see what a strain this has put on your health and you’re ability to think things through easily. Try talking this week to those who know you well. It can help you get in touch with your true feelings and emotions. Try not to talk about new faces before you have really had a chance to get to know them.

SCORPIO (October 24th-November 22nd)

I know that certain days this month have felt like walking through mud for you. I see that you want to do the right thing, but that whatever you decide is going to see a few casualties along the way. Someone thinks they know better than you do, but events by the end of the week are sure to prove otherwise.

SAGITTARIUS (November 23rd-December 21st)

You know Sagittarius; you don’t have to do what other people tell you to. Just remember that you’re a fire sign and being a fun spirit is what makes your life such an interesting place to be. Older faces bring financial debt and delays but are sure to be worth the pain and effort by the time you see how much they’ve evolved at the end of the week.

CAPRICORN (December 22nd-January 20th)

Make sure you are not blaming the wrong person for what went wrong. It seems there is much more to current dramas than first meets the eye. Knowing what you want from your career can help you jump ahead midweek and can also see you earning extra money. News from far away settles your mind over someone you care about.

AQUARIUS (January 21st-February 19th)

Your Weekly Karmic Forecast for January 13 – 19

Weekly Forecast: January 13 – 19, 2019

The Karmic Tools Weekly Forecast covers the current planetary transits which affect people in different ways and to various degrees of intensity. Take notice when it is a Personal planet (Sun / Moon / Mercury / Venus / Mars) interacting with a Social (Jupiter/Saturn) or Collective planet (Uranus / Neptune/Pluto). And pay extremely close attention when it is a Social planet interacting with a Collective planet because that means something *big* is brewing that will move large groups of people along their evolutionary paths. Tuning in to the energy and rhythm of the planets can serve as a useful *guide* as you move along your Individual Path. It also helps to understand your place within the context of the larger Social & Collective Story. Below, you will find out how these energies tend to manifest, as well as guidance and direction.

*NOTE*  There are some days when there are NO CONTACTS (besides the Moon), please note that there are no missing entries, we just list the actual Activations of each week + the day they happen.

Note from Kelly:

This is another potent week. Despite chaotic, collective madness, you must take some time this week to clear your own mind, do a data dump and try to hear your Self think. It is your Soul Self that wants to reach you this week and your Soul Self cares little about politics or the rest, your Soul Self just cares about you – you and your individual evolution. Mercury is the star this week, linking up with Saturn & Pluto, suggesting that if you can transform your thinking, you will naturally transcend your current reality. The other activations this week are equally important. The rare Jupiter/Neptune alignment is going to happen three times over, so pace yourself by noticing what is coming up for you around your faith & belief system at this time. Is it serving you or holding you back from evolving to the next level? When an activation happens 3-times like this, there is usually a catalyst, like our New Vision for 2019, then there is a crisis of faith or a burst-your-bubble moment (when you find out something you believed is actually not true) and then there is the revelations by the third time that, hopefully, leave your faith in your Self and a Higher Power both stronger & wiser for the experience. And ultimately, that Sun/Uranus contact suggests that we are ready, as individuals, to do things a completely new & different way. Honor that impulse. Improvise often. Ask (your Self) lots of questions, don’t take anything at face value but go deeper and ask your Self what you are *feeling* and then, go with your gut.

Weekly Forecast: January 13 – 19, 2019

1/13 ~ Mercury (thought process) ~conjunct~ Saturn (definition of reality):
This energy is excellent for any important project that requires your undivided attention. If you’ve got a vision and have already outlined how to manifest it, now is the time to really fill in the blanks – flesh it out – bring it to life! Do the work! If you do not channel this energy toward patiently and methodically taking the necessary steps to get to the next level, then it can manifest as frustration and feel as if you are not doing what you know in your heart you are supposed to be doing at this time. It leads to negative thinking and self-sabotage. A better expression would be to not think of the things that can go wrong, but entertain the possibility that every door opens and all paths lead to your goal, no matter how they appear at the moment.

1/13 ~ Jupiter (Truth/Belief) ~square~ Neptune (Faith/Spirituality):
(1 of 3: 1/13 ~ 6/16 ~ 9/21)

This combination gives us access to miracles, if you believe in them! But for those who are not grounded in their bodies or clear in their minds, this combo can be crazy-making, it seems to agitate some who can never pinpoint the source of the agitation. It’s time to pay close attention to what you think, say & believe in any given situation and constantly clarify it for your Self so that you don’t get too far off-track following your Monkey Mind. It’s a time when your faith & spirituality may be tested to grow as well, but all the more reason to believe in good things being possible too.

In general, these two are somewhat related because they both have to do with what we believe to be true or possible but they seem to also create a possibility for “too much of a good thing” ~ over-idealizing (Neptune) ~ over-extending (Jupiter) along with faith & charity in the wrong direction. Squares always create the necessary friction within to make you want to grow & develop skill so you can change something in a fairly tangible way. These two are like a lightning storm whose flashes enable you to catch “glimpses” of your new reality as the illusion of this old reality “cracks” revealing its inability to withstand the upcoming changes. Hopefully, it will spur you on to integrating a little more magic in your mundane, as well as manifesting your ideals in more practical/3D ways. By recognizing what you no longer believe, a new vision begins to emerge, though it still needs to be nurtured & cultivated. The test that squares bring, push us to grow and develop in a way that moves things along in a good way. When a Social Planet (Jupiter) hits a Collective Planet (Neptune) then large numbers of humans evolve around the same time. Additionally, if you have the Signs activated in your Individual chart, then it becomes “personal” for you (in this case, Sag/Pisces). In general, these energies coming together should help you develop a Truth/Belief System of your own, while still creating the Daily Practice that will animate and support it going forward. This energy will activate your generosity of spirit, so make sure to give to those worthy of your investment and try not to be foolish, deluded or tricked. Use this combo to expand your consciousness and practice what you preach.

1/14 ~ Mercury (expression) ~sextile~ Neptune (dreams):
This is a great energy for imagination, consciousness and intuition, however, keeping a good filter to distinguish between your own perceptions and what you are picking up from those around you will be crucial to your success. Your mind may be tuned-in to a different channel than usual this week and you may have to rely on other senses, like your feelings or intuitive hunches. You may be very perceptive, picking up on the thoughts & feelings of others, which if/when you are clear (and your filters are working) can yield some surprising revelations about where their consciousness is, at this time (for better or worse) and reflect an aspect of your own consciousness that you may not have been aware of. Try to avoid work that requires any attention to detail. Allow your creativity to flow freely without censoring what comes through you at this time. You can organize it later. This is the energy to explore, create and free-flow!

1/18 ~ Venus (feminine & receiving) ~trine~ Mars (masculine & giving):
Venus rules your values & priorities where your relationship with love & money are concerned. It is the Sacred Feminine within that innately knows how to co-create with nature, and what to cultivate & nurture to full development. Mars rules your desire nature and your Inner Sacred Masculine, which is responsible for getting your ideas into the world, maintaining your personal boundaries and negotiating on your own behalf. When both are channeling through you in a balanced way, like now, what you create and how you move through the world becomes a beautiful dance or, at least, a much more interesting story. The trine is a blessing of ease & grace, an easy-going energy that paves the way for balance & reciprocity and encourages independence within the context of relationships. Communication is usually smooth at this time and exchanges can be mutually beneficial. Any relationships started under this influence have a good chance at success whether personal or professional.

1/18 ~ Mercury (mind, thoughts & ideas) ~conjunct~ Pluto (purification & transformation):

This activation takes you into the depths of your own mind & consciousness, deepening all communications. You may find yourself obsessing over something, either by yourself or in an attempt to convey something to another. Superficial, quick once-overs, trying to keep things ‘light’ will not likely be possible with this energy. You may feel determined to dig deeper until you get to the core or base issue. It’s good for soul-searching when it’s motivated by a genuine desire to know the truth, rather than to evade it. It’s not-so-good when you’re obsessing over someone or something which no longer serves you (or your Highest good). The challenge with this energy is the tendency to be really intense and locked-in on your own point of view, which is no less valid, but often this type of mental intensity blinds you to something obvious that you overlooked because you were not being objective, but being driven by much deeper (possibly unconscious) emotions. Your intensity is capable of influencing others but be aware of the difference between sharing information and trying to “convince, convert or cajole” others, as that can naturally attract challenges & opposition. Remember, the opposite can also be true, where you are on the receiving end of this intense energy from someone else (trying to convince you of something). The best way to use this energy, as it doesn’t really last that long, is to turn that intensity toward Self, peel the layers to your own Truth & Purpose. The channels are open for a time and you can communicate and receive information from the deepest part of your SoulSelf. This is an Initiation.

1/18 ~ Sun (source & essential Self) ~square~ Uranus (awakening & radical shift):

As with any Uranus activation, this one disrupts the normal flow in order to facilitate a ‘break to realign’ moment. While sometimes disruptive & challenging, the ultimate result is refreshing in some way. Consider the energy that thickens, gathering for a severe thunderstorm, then releasing buckets of rain, for hours, you sleep deeply and awaken to a bright sunny morning with birds chirping unusually loud outside your window. Got the visual? ; -)) This activation is the necessary challenge that gets your attention that something better is available, if you’re willing to improvise and think on your feet. If you’ve been unusually restricted in some way, you may feel restless. Rather than being reactive to the unexpected shift (within or without), it’s best to take a pause for the cause, step back and try to gain some perspective. Remember to be present, too far in the past can be depressing and too far into the future, and you cause your Self unnecessary anxiety. Breathe, be under the sky, invite clarity about the next step and trust your gut. This energy, while sometimes uncomfortable and often sudden, is very necessary to disrupt any illusions/delusions you may be holding on to. It’s time to express your Self in new ways so the old ways naturally stop working to get your attention.

Your Cosmic Weather Forecast for 2019

Cosmic Weather: Year 2019

Jane Lyle, Astrologer

From The Astrology Room

Welcome to 2019!

Welcome to 2019! We’re still crossing the bridge, still very much in transition. 2019’s astrology brings us some beautiful spiritual and creative possibilities too. Focusing on these can help us negotiate what lies ahead. It promises to be a transformational year in many ways, with powerful Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, asking us to clear out what’s negative and reform what’s outlived its purpose. This can be exhilarating, but scary too. Eventually, Pluto offers us treasures and energy. So when the going gets tough, remember there’s a bright light at the end of the tunnel and keep moving towards it. It’s not the light of an approaching train…..

A Thought I Like for 2019:

“The little space within the heart is as great as the vast universe.

The heavens and the earth are there, and the sun and the moon and the stars. Fire and lightening and winds are there, and all that now is and all that is not.”

― Swami Prabhavananda, The Upanishads: Breath from the Eternal

The big cosmic patterns in 2019’s astrology involve optimistic Jupiter, dreamy Neptune, and practical Saturn and Pluto. The zodiac signs involved are Sagittarius, Pisces, and Capricorn – so planets in these signs in your chart are highlighted this coming year.

If you have planets or points in your own personal birth chart at around 14 – 18 degrees of any sign, this year’s astrology patterns energise your chart.

Special Sun Sign birthdays for 2019 are:

Aries:  3rd April – 8th April

Taurus: 4th May – 9th May

And if you’re an April Taurus, born between 20th – 27th April – exciting, eccentric Uranus is heading your way. This could be an outstanding year of reinvention for you!

Gemini: 4th June – 9th June

Cancer: 5th July – 11th July

Leo: 6th August – 11th August

Virgo: 6th September – 11th September

Libra: 6th October – 12th October

Scorpio: 5th November – 11th November

Sagittarius: 5th December – 11th December

All Sagittarians have a year with huge potential. Jupiter, your energy source, is in Sagittarius. Your sense of adventure thrives, just be cautious with your cash.

Capricorn: 3rd January – 11th January

Aquarius: 2nd February – 8th February

Pisces: 2nd March – 8th March

January 2019 shows us much of the flavour of the year ahead. Two of the big cosmic patterns for the year begin this month, repeating exactly in June, September and November this year. These themes are ongoing – with creative, spiritual dreams and adventures at their heart. Yet there’s a great deal of work to do to make things solid, and some seductive pitfalls to avoid along the way.

Faith, Hope and Charity: Jupiter in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces 2019

Jupiter in Sagittarius squares up to Neptune in Pisces this year. Both planets are in spiritual, philosophical signs, and in the signs they rule. Each planet will express itself strongly this year. You’ll likely be extra aware of this if you have your Sun, or other planets, in Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces.

Jupiter and Neptune are fluid, flexible, and dreamy in 2019. So there are big, beautiful dreams buoying us up. These expanded feelings favour travel, exploration, charity, imagination and vision. Helping others, and exploring our own imaginations, spirituality and intuition bring many of us fulfilment this year. It could be an important year for the major world religions, for migration issues, and for sport too.

The downside of Jupiter and Neptune is inflation – from gaining weight, to hosting delusional ideas about ourselves and the world around us. We’re looking at gorgeous, pearly bubbles with no substance, and more than a few huge scandals.

Specifically, we must be very wary of:

*Smooth-talking snake oil salesmen

*Greedy gurus

*Get rich quick schemes and gambling

*Our personal boundaries – its easier than usual to let the wrong one in, whether in love, business, or friendship. What’s right will eventually become clear, so please do take your time.

*Announcing things on social media without thinking it through – Jupiter and Neptune have few filters or fact checkers on board.

Jupiter squares Neptune exactly on these dates:

13th January 2019 at 14 degrees

16th June 2019 at 18 degrees

21st September at 17 degrees

However, the themes of this glamorous pair will ebb and flow until the autumn.

Rock and Soul – Saturn in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces, 2019

Our big dreams can remain just that, and never materialise. But Saturn, strong in its home sign of practical Capricorn, is here to help us manifest our ideas and visions by making a productive aspect to foggy old Neptune. Each aspect follows that expansive Jupiter and Neptune party almost straight away, encouraging many of us to not only keep it real, but to take patient steps towards tangible outcomes.

Saturn is known for restraint and boundaries, and can act to limit wild excess. Making a dream real can be quite a struggle, but Saturn builds to last. What we create may not be quite as amazing as what we can imagine, yet with Saturn there we can be sure it will be a solid piece of work, or a lasting relationship.

This year Jupiter, Neptune, and Saturn are all expressing their essence from the signs they rule. So I think they should be able to work together to produce something truly worthwhile in the end. Optimism, fairy dust, and hardworking patience – what else could we need?!

Here’s a story to illustrate what I mean about this astrological theme:

‘When I came to Dungeness….I had no thought of building a garden. It looked impossible: shingle with no soil supported a sparse vegetation. Outside the front door a bed had been built – a rockery of broken bricks and concrete: it fitted in well. One day, walking on the beach at low tide, I noticed a magnificent flint. I brought it back and pulled out one of the bricks. Soon I had replaced all the rubble with flints. They were hard to find, but after a storm a few more would appear. The bed looked great, like dragon’s teeth – white and grey. My journey to the sea each morning had purpose.’

– Derek Jarman ‘Derek Jarman’s Garden’ (1995)

Derek Jarman (31st January,1942) was a film director, set designer, artist, gardener, author and gay rights activist.

Born with Sun in innovative Aquarius, Jarman had Saturn in gardener’s Taurus aligned with eccentric Uranus also in Taurus – where Uranus is now. Their practical magic combined with Neptune in meticulous Virgo. Virgo is opposite seawater Pisces, where Neptune now rules supreme.

You can see how the painstaking creation of a beautiful, unconventional garden in a bleak, stony coastal setting echoes these planetary patterns. These patterns, in turn, echo some of 2019’s Saturn, Neptune and Jupiter possibilities.

Derek Jarman died of AIDS in 1994. ‘Derek Jarman’s Garden’ was the last book he wrote.

Saturn in Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces exactly on these dates:

31st January 2019 at 14 degrees

18th June 2019 at 18 degrees

9th November 2019 at 16 degrees

If you have planets or points around these degrees of any sign in your own personal horoscope, your chart is energised by 2019’s Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune story.

Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf ?

Some deeply serious astrological themes are building up throughout 2019.

Saturn in Capricorn joins Pluto in Capricorn in January 2020, but these heavyweight planets draw close to one another all year. As they do, the circumstances and actions they represent will become more and more obvious. This is an important cycle for the world around us, and for our development and security of every kind here on Earth – including privacy, financial security, and vital resources.

In our personal lives, Saturn and Pluto can symbolise power and powerful people in our worlds – our parents, bosses, the forces of law and order, and our own sense of security and safety.

Above all, this pair flag up the deep need for a change in our collective habits, and perhaps even some of our laws. Pluto can be the great regenerator, and one result of this astrological era will be new ways to care for our environment. We may have to endure some very dramatic weather, or other shocks to the global system to push us forwards. But sticking to what’s old and refuses to change will not work. A tipping point has arrived. Saturn the Time Lord often ends things, Pluto will eventually demolish what’s not working and aim to recycle what’s useless.

However, if we can work with them, we can reorganise and rethink the structures we often take for granted. When we fail to co-operate at such times, we get turmoil. We do have a clear choice, and I’m certainly not forecasting the end of the world. We have a powerful opportunity to rebuild in new ways in the next few years, so lets take it.

The astrology:

Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn is exact for the first time on 12th January 2020, at 22 degrees Capricorn.

However, we’ll feel its approach throughout 2019.

During December 2019 Saturn travels from 18 degrees Capricorn to 21 degrees. Pluto begins December at 21 Capricorn, reaching 22 degrees by 20th December.

Moon Diary Overview: The Eclipses of 2019

Eclipses are, basically, supercharged new and full Moons. They occur when the Sun, Moon, and Earth line up – with the Earth between the Sun and Moon at a lunar eclipse (full Moon), and Moon between the Earth and Sun at a solar eclipse (new Moon). Often, this intense cosmic energy seems to be reflected in our weather, with an eclipse bringing storms or other natural upheavals.

Each time, something is obscured or eclipsed. And this is part of the meaning of an eclipse – something is hidden in ourselves or our lives, information may not be fully revealed or understood until later on.

When an eclipse lines up with a planet in your horoscope, or the horoscope of a nation, company, or other organisation, it acts like a wild card. Its effects can linger for months, or even kick in some weeks beforehand. The planets it has touched remain sensitive, they have a message for us. Energy flows, either as a dynamic beginning or as some kind of release or paying back of debts on many levels.

This year’s eclipses (apart from one) are all in Cancer the Crab or Capricorn the Sea Goat. They highlight security, money, family issues, ancestry, government, and ambition. And while none of them may connect with your own chart, their effects in various locations on Earth can affect all our lives in ways great and small.

6th January: New Moon and Solar Eclipse at 15 Capricorn

A deep and earthy solar eclipse in dynamic Capricorn opens 2019. It’s focused on money, banking, power and – eventually – the transformation and release of old patterns and karma.  Anything fixed or rigid (rules, boundaries, foundations, rocks, bones….) will need to be assessed – is it useful or appropriate any more? Are the foundations strong enough?

This solar eclipse sits between brooding Pluto and serious Saturn. Are there blockages? Are there secret schemes, power ploys, or hidden motives?  This eclipse says that we will all have to be very practical, responsible, and realistic about resources, cash, and the earth itself. Big corporate organisations have enormous power in our world. Can they learn to use it wisely? We can always hope…..

It’s vital we pay close attention to what crops up now in our own lives, and out there in the big, bad world. It’s a stark message from those ultimate grown-ups, Saturn and Pluto. They draw ever closer to each other this year, until they align exactly in January 2020.

There’s not much wiggle room. What flexibility there is may come from a deep understanding of the connectedness of all things, for the eclipse aligns with a mystical, musical fixed star, Vega, in the constellation Lyra, the Lyre. Neptune’s presence, aspecting both Sun and Moon, offers spiritual possibilities on the one hand, misty delusions and scandals on the other. We must stay awake.

This eclipse is an important one for Russia, and many countries that were once part of the former Soviet Union.

The eclipse has a message about government, finances, and leadership for the UK, and the EU with their Capricorn Suns.

The USA with its 4th July Sun exactly opposite this eclipse in Cancer, the Crab will also have much to consider this January. Serious business is afoot, but some information will remain hidden for a while yet.

This is a South Node eclipse, with a karmic message and a need for release, giving back, and caution. Something in our news or in our lives is ‘eclipsed’ at this time. Making big decisions or judgments is best delayed for a week or two – wait until things settle, or new facts emerge.

The astrology: The Sun and Moon at 15 Capricorn are conjunct Saturn at 12 Capricorn, and Pluto at 20 Capricorn. Sun and Moon are sextile Neptune at 14 Pisces.

Mars in Cancer switches this eclipse on again between 7th – 10th June. Events and themes related to the eclipse emerge strongly again at that time.

21st January: Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse at 0 Leo

This is a North Node eclipse, stirring up plenty of energy and scattering surprises around us, with a challenging aspect to Uranus (28 Aries) heralding what’s unusual, unexpected or even disruptive. Look out for new inventions and original ideas too.

And it’s the final eclipse in Leo for a while. We’ve had a series of them, all generally highlighting leadership, royalty, family, celebrities, creativity and children. There could be big news about those subjects in the days around this eclipse as certain situations come to a head.

This lunar eclipse highlights news and events in many locations now and over the next six months. These include the UK; Russia; Greece; Spain; France; Israel and North Korea.

It’s worth watching, too, when Mars in Leo vitalises this eclipse again on 1st – 2nd July. There’s another eclipse to think about then as well – expect a bit of a shake up around these dates. It’s a hotspot.

2nd July: New Moon and Solar Eclipse at 10 Cancer

This solar eclipse in security loving Cancer is one of a challenging eclipse family called Saros 127. This eclipse family repeats every eighteen years. It can herald difficult financial conditions or unstable markets. Some previous eclipses in this series coincided with these notable financial events:

1857: The Panic of 1857 – Crash – USA, Europe

1893: The Panic of 1893 – Crash and depression – USA, Australia, UK

1929: Wall Street Crash

2001: 9/11 and financial crash, notably in Argentina

This eclipse opposes the Capricorn Sun in the charts for the EU, UK, and numerous other locations where the natal national chart is set for 1st January. Security and finances are in the news more than usual now.

The Sun and Moon align with the Cancer Sun in Italy’s 2nd July, 1871 chart, and are close to the USA’s Cancer Sun on its 4th July founding horoscope. Watch out for turning point news from both locations this summer.

There are, of course, many other locations where this eclipse, and 2019’s Saturn “reality bites” effect, will be felt around the world.

This is a North Node eclipse – we can expect a lot of discussion, energy, and important world news this summer. This pivotal eclipse marks beginnings that may be hard to see straight away.

16th July: Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse at 24 Capricorn conjunct Pluto

This is a South Node eclipse, highlighting destiny and release. With powerful Pluto there, this eclipse brings deep feelings and subconscious forces to the surface. This eclipse could herald news of secret corruption, espionage, or yet more information about banking and finance. The desire to clear and clean our world, homes, or thoughts will be strong, even intense.

This eclipse could be meaningful between now and December for Saudi Arabia; Australia; Nigeria and Lebanon.

26th December: New Moon and Solar Eclipse at 4 Capricorn

This Boxing Day eclipse promises to be very fortunate for some of us. Sometimes what goes around comes around in a good way – and a renewed sense of freedom and freshness may be one of fate’s gifts to us all. A different, innovative approach to finances can be one of the changes highlighted by this eclipse.

This is a South Node eclipse, conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn, trine Uranus in Taurus.

It’s lively energies are active now, and in the coming months, in the national horoscopes for Greece; Brazil; Germany; Indonesia and Tibet.

Daily Cosmic Calendar for Monday, January 14

COSMIC CALENDAR

Write down technicolor dreams and outside-of-body visions as Mercury in Capricorn forms a supportive, 60-degree tie with Neptune in Pisces (5:14 a.m.). The monthly conjunction of the moon and Uranus in Aries (7:57 a.m.) takes on extra significance, as Uranus just made its station and shift from retrograde to direct motion on January 6. The quirky, unconventional and revolutionary archetypes of Uranus are suddenly back at full strength. This moon-Uranus union starts a void-of-course uncertainty cycle that lasts until the moon enters earthy Taurus (10:32 a.m.). Enjoy a nature trek with the lunar orb in the sign of its exaltation. Take a good look at your financial resources to weed out unnecessary expenses and become more confident as an astute money manager.

Lenaia Day III

Colors: Purple and green
Element: Water
Altar: A large post is set up behind the altar, draped in robes of purple and green, with a mask of Dionysus upon it, and arms raised upwards made of grapevine and fruit tree branches. The altar is draped in purple and green, and upon it set two purple candles, a wreath of grapevines, two jugs of wine (one white and one red), and a chalice.

Daily Meal: Wine. Goat or lamb. Lentils. Grape leaves. Greek food if possible.

Lenaia Invocation I

Hail, son of Semele! Iakkhos, Giver of Wealth!
Not only wealth of body and thought,
But wealth of spirit as well,
Numinous in sacrifice,
One whose mysteries
Cannot fully be spoken,
One who we can only truly know
Through the way of unknowing,
We ask for fertility of soul
Not merely for us, but for
The whole world of humanity.
We dance for the soul’s creation
And re-creation, again and again,
You who understand the cycle
And know that all endings
Are simply beginnings.
From our souls down through our bodies,
From our bodies into your Soul,
From your Soul into the Earth,
We give you our open eyes
That you may fill them with vision.

(Instead of a particular chant, a drum circle is formed and all dance for at least an hour. Any appropriate chant may be used. After the drum circle is closed, the red wine is passed around and shared, with the worker saying, “Behold the blood of Iakkhos.” The remainder is poured out as a libation. Then the white wine is passed around and shared, with the worker saying, “Behold the dreams of Iakkhos.” The remainder is poured out as a libation.)

Calendar of the Sun for Monday, August 14th

Calendar of the Sun

Bruma

Colors: White and brown
Element: Earth
Altar: Upon a bare table lay a large pot shaped like a human figure, reclining, filled with earth. All should enter bearing two white cloths, one on each arm.
Offerings: Silence and meditation.
Daily Meal: Vegetarian

Bruma Invocation

Earth, you lie sleeping in silence,
And we can do nothing but wait.
We have breathed upon your first seeds,
We have sung your first green shoots
Up from the bare brown soil,
We have watered you with tears and sweat
And fed you with the remains of our meals,
We have cut down your bounty and saved it,
Yet this is not the time for seeds, or green,
But simply the long cold wait in the dark
Until the light waxes and the time comes again.
You are silent, and will not speak to us,
No matter how we cry out.
You are dormant, and will not sing to us,
No matter how we raise our voices,
For all things come in their own time,
And this is not the time for movement.
So we will sit with you, Earth,
We will watch over you as you sleep
And take part in your dreams
In silence, and wait for your awakening.

Chant:
Earth dreaming
Silent seeming
Winter’s vigil
We will wait for you.

(After the chant has been sung five times, all come forth to the altar. Each lays one white cloth gently over the pot, saying, “Blessed be the Earth in the time of winter.” Then each sits on the floor and places the other white cloth over their heads, and meditates on all that is sleeping and cannot be awoken. Silence in the House until Akte.)

Feel the Power, Rise and Proclaim,

“We Stand As One.”

–Lady of the Abyss

Before we get started this morning…..

I had several things I was suppose to get done for today and well, just didn’t get them done. I did get the new banner and logo for Pagans for Political Change made and it will be up sometime this day, I hope. I also wanted to add a page here and a page at Coven Life to explain just exactly what our new organization would be involved in and some of its main objectives. Don’t let the name fool you, it will be involved in other activities besides politics. There is a lot in this world that needs to be changed and I believe we can make a difference in these areas. So after the shut down is over, the organization will still be going strong.  There is more than just politics wrong in our country.

But my main point right now……if you would like to help start building the fund for the displaced government workers, you will find a PayPal button below so you can do just that. Hopefully by the end of the day, I will have banners up on both sites that gives you a permanent  spot to make your donations. I should also add that Pagans for Political Action is an open organization. What does that mean? You have a blog, website, podcast, FaceBook page, whatever, you are more than welcome to join us. The more the merrier and the more we get to join the greater the impact we will have on the issues we plan to address. The topics we decide to address, you will have a voice in those decisions. We plan on having meetings every three months to discuss new issues or ideas that might need our attention. So you will have a voice in this organization and that is only fair. That is just one of the ground rules we have put in place for Pagans for Political Action. As I mentioned yesterday, we need your help. We not only need donations to help out the government workers but we also need help in spreading the word that this organization now exists. Once I get the banner up, I would appreciate it, if you grabbed it and run with it. Take it to every social media outlet you are connected with. This is not just an organization with two people making all the decisions for it, you will have an active involvement in it, I swear.

I sincerely hope we can count on you. We want this to work for everyone. I mentioned that this organization will continue after the shut down. One thing I would like to do is have enough funds raised in case a family is facing hardship due to the economy and needs to buy groceries, they can come to us. They need help paying their light bill, they can come to us. We not only want to be politically involved, we wanted to be involved in the community as well. This is way off topic but I would like to see us tackle the Veteran’s care in our country. I had the opportunity to visit a Veterans’ hospital and it broke my heart. I talked to one Vet and he had been there overnight waiting to see a doctor. That is a disgrace. These men and women fought for our freedom and they are treated like this, BULL! This is just an example of one of the many issues we can tackle but again, we need your help to make this organization work.

One last word and I will give you the donate button and hush…..I know most Pagans are leery about coming out in the open because of the stigma that has been associated with us for so long. Whether you come out and use your real name or a fake one, it is up to you. We just want you involved. Also with an organization like this and the public sees what good it is doing, we will wash away some more of that stigma. We have fought for years to erase all the old myths and stereotypes associated with us. I will be the first to tell you, it ain’t easy but it has to be done. I have stood and been called everything in the book. I have been so angry and upset about these confrontations that I wanted to blow. But I didn’t because I would have been playing right into their hands. I stood my ground and to my dying day, I will stand my ground. I was alone and by myself. You have one advantage I didn’t, you won’t be by yourself. You will have many of us with you. So if the idea of coming out and joining Pagans for Political Changes has stopped you because of that, don’t let it. We all knew there would be a time when we would have to come out and let our voices be heard. Now is that time, now is the time to take action, let our voices be heard and take a stand for what we believe in and what is right. The time for talk is over, now it is time to take action. I have my battle scars and it won’t be easy but then again anything worth fighting for and you believe in, never is.

Remember one of the WOTC’s favorite sayings…..

Witches, Wiccans, Pagans,

We Stand As One.

Thank you and I love you all,

Lady of the Abyss

Like to help us get our relief fund up and running. Any amount helps these families in need, give what you can. A dollar, five dollars, ten dollars or whatever you can give will be appreciated when your family is facing possible eviction or hunger. I know they will definitely appreciate it and we will also.

Remember Pagans for Political Change has two overseers to make sure the money goes directly to those who need it. Also I am not sure how this PayPal account will open up for you to donate, it might say Coven Life on it. If it does, when you go to make your donation to the relief fund just put in the comment section that the donation is designated for the government workers’ relief fund. Thank you!

*AFTER THOUGHT* I ran this idea by Lady Beltane yesterday. If the shut down doesn’t end soon, they we designate a meeting area, rent a bus and go to Washington. The organization pays for the bus and one meal. Then we do a little peaceful protesting in front of Congress. Now wouldn’t that be a site. I know it would be one I would love to see. We could have a good time meeting each other and at the same time raising hell at the government.

Think About This…

Going along with mine and Lady Abyss’ posts on helping the government employees who are now not getting paid I thought having a visual in your mind might help along with this question – How would you feel if you and your family’s home taken away and you had to figure out how to provide for them with only the sky for your roof.

Please donate what you can through the “Donation” button on Coven Life’s Homepage. We will be keeping a very accurate account of the donations and the people in our pagan community.

If you are an unpaid government employee please send a copy of your last paystub with everything blacked out except your full name, name of the department who paid you, and the date you were paid.

Upon written request anyone who has donated can request a copy of the spreadsheets of amount donated and who we have paid it out to and how much the received.

This is a joint fundraiser of Witches of The Craft and Coven Life.

Wishing All Our Brothers & Sisters of The Craft A Very Warm & Blessed Sunday Morn’!

celtic blessings
How are y’all doing this morning? I hope super. Enjoying a nice relaxed Sunday morning with family and friends. Oh, if life could always be that simple. But unfortunately, it is not. Yesterday, as you remember, I mentioned starting a fund for all the government workers that were currently effected by the shut-down in the States. In twenty-four hours things have picked up and starting to roll. I know I haven’t listened to the News this morning but I do know all the politicians went home for the weekend instead of staying in Washington and trying to end this mess. They never cease to amaze me, go home to their million dollar homes while the rest of the 800,000 people in this country are out of work, wondering when they are going to get paid and how long this shut down is going to last. Instead of staying in Washington and pretending, because that is what I believe they all do, pretend to care about the American people. If they really cared, they would be in Washington trying to come to some kind of compromise to open the government back up and get the federal workers their paychecks. But do they do that, NO! Actual proof they don’t give a damn about the federal employees, their families or anything else, except themselves.

This whole ordeal has left a very bitter taste in my mouth and it should have done the same to you. Maybe you haven’t stopped to think about it because the shut down doesn’t effect you but it will. It is called the “trickle down effect.” I am getting ready to paint a very grim outlook on all of this, so reader beware. It has already been stated that both sides are in this mess for the long haul. The shut down could end tomorrow (which is doubtful) or it could end in a couple of years. Can you imagine if this goes on and on for years what shape this country is going to be end? I can and it a horrible image that is burned into my mind. The government workers can’t pay their rent, so they are put on the streets. They can’t buy their needed food for their children, the children and families go hunger. Since the federal employees are losing their homes, the banks start to go under. Since they can’t feed their families, the crime rate goes up. You know well as I do when it comes to our children and our families that no one is going to stand by and watch them sleep on the streets or let alone go hungry. So people are forced to do whatever it takes just to survive. When all this happens the United States has gone to hell and we are a third world country. It is sad to even to begin to think that is what things might come to in this country. But it is a reality and a very sad one. We have to try and stop this from happening. That is one of the reason I suggested that we start the fund-raiser for the federal workers.

Since yesterday, Lady Beltane has agreed to let us use the magazine’s PayPal account. You might be wonder why I didn’t want to use ours, simple again. First, ours is a business account and we get charged a percentage of every dollar that comes into our account. The people we raise the money for wouldn’t be getting the true amount that is intended for them. Since we want the funds we raise to go to the families that need it, I don’t want PayPal getting a dime of their money. Second, if Lady Beltane hadn’t came on board with this idea we would not be doing this fund-raising attempt at all. Why? Because I have headed several various organizations over my lifetime. I have took over those organizations after the previous administration had drained their bank accounts, took every dime and then left the organization. Due to this fact, I learned early on, when you do something like this you have two involved overseeing where the money goes. Both have to sign off on where the money is going and the money cannot be touched without both of them agreeing on this. It is an insurance policy not only for the people raising the money but for the people receiving the money. I wanted someone outside of the WOTC to join in this fund-raiser and there would be no questions asked that the money would be reaching the people it was suppose too. The WOTC will sponsor it along with Coven Life and I guarantee you I will be out their hustling for this effort but I wanted an outside party in with us before we ever started it. Now we have that outside party, Lady Beltane.

As the days go on, we will have people contact us or email us and need help. You don’t have to worry, we won’t reveal your name or any personal information. You will be given a number and you will be identified by that number. We will have your information on file and if any questions ever come up about where the money went, we will then disclose where the money went to the inquiring party. We will protect your privacy every way we can. The WOTC and myself have always been open and honest with its members and followers. We have been on the internet close to 20 years now. You don’t stay on the internet that long and pick up as many followers as we have by being dishonest. I always try to put every safeguard in place when raising money and I am extremely diligent when it comes to raising funds going out to needy people. So as time drags on and these workers need our help, I want us to be there for them. I want them not to worry about coming and asking for help. But there is one catch, we can’t pull this off without you. The poll that we took yesterday indicated that most of you are for this fund-raising effort, which I was very pleased and surprised by. I don’t know why I was surprised, there has never been a time when a need occurred that the WOTC didn’t rise to the occasion.

Back to the issue at hand, I am going to get all the information from Lady Beltane today about Coven Life’s PayPal account. As you read, she has agreed to keep the records of the donations and also to whom the money goes. She can work the books and I will work the crowds. We will both have control over the money and it will not be touched to we both agree on how it is being issued. Now we need your help. As this shut-down continue and drags on for no telling how long, people are going to start to get in a financial bind. No money coming in, you can’t make your house payment, you can’t feed your family, you can’t buy the necessities of life or meet your electrical bill or heating bill to keep your family warm. When that happens I am sincerely hoping we will have the funds to assist these families. We can’t do it without you and I cannot emphasis that enough. We not only need donations but we need our fund-raiser spread across the internet. If you have your own site, please announce it there. If you have a Facebook account, let it be known there. No matter how little or great your social media outlets are, let our fund-raiser be known on your site. It is going to take more than a handful of people to make this happen.

I am going to work on a banner that goes along with this fund-raiser. It will include what we are trying to do, who we are trying to do it for, the PayPal address  and any other important information I feel we need on this banner. It will also have our new organization’s title. I mentioned it yesterday and told you I would give you details on it later. Well I don’t have all the details worked out yet and right now the details to our new organization doesn’t really matter, what matters is the people we are going to try to raise money for. The WOTC and I believe Coven Life will come on board with us in our efforts to get this new organization off the ground. Don’t worry the WOTC and Coven Life aren’t going anywhere, we are just starting a new venture and hopefully a successful venture. The name of our new organization is “Pagans for Political Action.” That name will be on the banner and under it will be that it is sponsored by the WOTC and Coven Life. And I said I didn’t like mixing politics and The Craft, oh well, might as well jump in head first. The political climate in our country has to change. I have talked about it before and it never went anywhere, this time it will. It will also take work but good things don’t happen without work, known fact. Together we can make this happen and it looks like we are going to have to make it happen.

I know I have given you a lot of information today and I hope you mull it over and decide to join us in our future endeavors. I have talked about change for years, now it is time for that change to happen. Just remember right now the main issue is getting the funds together to help the workers that are not receiving paychecks and have no income. That is our number one goal for the time being. I just wanted to tell you the name of our new organization so you wouldn’t be shocked when you seen the banner. Remember when the banner comes out, please spread it to every nook and cranny on this planet. We have brothers & sisters who are going to start to hurt as long as this government mess drags on, let’s be there for them.

Thank you & Goddess Bless You,

Lady of the Abyss

In Case You Missed It The First Time…..

1. Wettbewerb 2019 der Gruppe "Master of the Blingees"

Good morning to all our little snow bunnies. How y’all doing today? I hope you aren’t snowed in some place. Our weather forecasters amaze the crap out of me. I have found out with all the metal in my body, I can tell weather better than they can. Our “supposedly” snow storm pooped out! When we went to bed last night, I turned the porch light on. It was snowing like the devil, great big fluffy flakes. I figured this morning we would get up and we would have snow up to our rumps. WRONG! The only sign we have that it actually snowed and that we weren’t crazy last night is a shed in the back with snow on its roof. This is the second time this season, our weather forecasters have called for a “severe” snow storm to come through. Both times they have missed the mark. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining at all. I figure before the season is over, we will get hit with a 6 foot snow and won’t see daylight for a week. We are way overdue for a good snow storm. It seems around here, our weather runs in cycles. About every seven years, the seasons change. When the seasons change that is when you can expect bad weather. This is suppose to be the year our seasons change for us. This being the first of January, we are not out of the woods yet. So I guess I better keep my big mouth shut or else I will end up with a snowball in it, lol!

I have two things on my mind this morning, both of them have to do with the government. I know and you know, I don’t like to mix politics and witchcraft anymore than the next witch but….the government shut down has been weighing heavy on my mind. I am not going to play the blame game, whether it is the Republicans’ fault or the Democrats’ faults, I really don’t care. What I do care about is all the government workers that are not getting paid right now. I know as many followers and members as The WOTC has, there has got to be several of you who are currently being effected by this shut-down. I won’t play the blame game but I do think it is horrible to put the citizens of this country in the middle of this mess. I wonder how all the politicians in our country would like it, if all of a sudden their paychecks stopped rolling in. I don’t think they would. In fact, I don’t believe any of them could live the way most of us “average joes” do. I know what is like to live from paycheck to paycheck. In today’s economic, that is about all you can do anymore. You can’t save a dollar for a rainy day because something always comes up to take that dollar.

When I was watching the News (got to stop watching the News, it always gets me in trouble), I saw numerous people talking about how they were going to feed their children, how they were going to keep a roof over their heads and many more stories just like these. You know to live in the greatest country on the planet, this is pitiful and that is an understatement. It troubles my soul when I see these people because if the government don’t get its head out of its ass and do something, things are going to get much worse. People aren’t going to stand by and watch their children go hungry or lose everything they worked for all their life. I don’t believe the elected officials of our country would want a person like me for president. The first thing I would do is to stop their paychecks. If the American people aren’t getting paid, then they wouldn’t either. Hell, they would lose their minds if they had to live like we do. Plain and simple, they have lost touch with reality. They are playing politics with our lives.

There is going to be a poll at the end of this to see how many of you are directly effected by this shut-down. I want to know. I have a plan cooking in the back of my little brain and I decided it was time to act on it. I can’t stand by and watch potentials members of our family go hunger, lose their houses, can’t pay their bills or whatever else they need. I just can’t do it. My plan, and you can tell me what you think, is to create a fund for all those out of work right now due to the shut down and facing hardship. The funds will be donated from our members and others who are working and can afford to give a little to help others out during this crisis. And yes, it is a crisis. I know we have children going to bed every night hungry in this country and that is a shame. Now to add more children and families to that growing list, it is unthinkable. The money or donations wouldn’t even go into our PayPal account. I know Lady Beltane has opened a PayPal account for the magazine that is suppose to be coming out in a few months. I was going to see if we could use her account for this fund. Next thing after we get some donations collected would be for those workers in need to verify that they are government employees. How to do this, simple. Just email us a pay stub with everything blocked out, except the name of the government agency and the $0.00 balance you received on your last pay check. It probably won’t be much that we collect but perhaps it will help someone keep their lights on or buy a few groceries for their families. Everyone here has helped us when we have been in a tight spot, now it is our turn to return the favor. What I would like to know, would you be willing to help out our brothers & sisters currently trapped in the middle of political politics? Like I stated the money or donations will not go into our PayPal account, it will go into another one. We will gladly release every detail about where your donations have went and how and what they were spent for. Now will you help if we can get this up and running.

We have a very large family across the net, I know in this time of crisis we can pull together and help those who need it most. Just put yourself in their shoes, no money coming in, kids to feed, chance of losing your home, and there seems no hope in sight. How would you feel? I know how it feels and it is scary as hell. I want to know if this is something you would be willing to help out with? These are our brothers and sisters, proud Americans who are now political pons. They need our help and I am asking you, would you be willing to help if we can get this up and running?

This is just one of the things I wanted to talk to you about. The other I will wait a day or two on, it involves starting our own political movement.  Yes, you heard right, a political movement of our own. I am sick of the way things are going in this country. I am sure most of you are also. It seems no one, Democrat or Republican, can get their act together to change things, so it is time for a new voice to be heard. That voice is ours. I will give you more details on it later.

Now if you don’t mind and have a minute, would you please take the brief poll below. It will give us an idea of how many displaced workers we have in our community and how much we are going to have to raise to even start to help them out.

Goddess bless our country and our brothers and sisters currently caught up in this political mess. Let them know they are not alone and we are trying our best to find a way to help them. Let them stand strong in their faith and in their brothers and sisters of The Craft.

So Mote It Be.

Lady of the Abyss

*After Thought* I forgot what really, really rubbed me the wrong way till I went back and read what I wrote. The other day I read that the government was giving their employees ideas on how to survive without paychecks. REALLY! I am going to call it what it is, “a crock of shit!” To tell people to have yard sales or garage sales, babysit, walk the neighbor’s dog or do handyman work, really! Are these idiots in Washington that far out of touch with reality? And how dare they tell these people that want to work and have worked for good money to go out and “walk a dog.” Who the hell do they think they are? I wonder how dear Chuck or Nancy would like to be told to “go walk a dog?” Nancy is not one of my favorite people. I would love to see that woman walking a dog, in fact, I would pay to see her walk a dog. She needs to walk her butt out the door with several others of those up there in Washington right now.

*End of Rant*

HOW TO CURE A FULL MOON HANGOVER

HOW TO CURE A FULL MOON HANGOVER

Do you lose sleep when the moon looms large in the night sky? Do you feel dazed or sensitive?

You might have a full moon hangover.

We all know that the word lunatic originates from the Latin word for moon: luna. Though lunatic is an unsavory word now, it points to a long understanding that strange things – and strange feelings – tend to occur around the lunar phases.

Symbolically, the moon is associated with our inner experience and intuition. And, physically, the moon is associated with our hormonal cycles.  A full moon may magnify the energy and intentions you are already moving through.

WHAT IS A FULL MOON HANGOVER?

The way that a full moon hangover looks for each of us is different. For some of us, it can affect our sleep patterns, which in turn alter hormone levels, leaving us feeling feel raw and drained.

If you are working through sadness or grief, the full moon can augment these feelings to the point of catharsis and resolve; or, if you are moving through a period of growth and expansion, the full moon may amplify this energy into a culmination.

Either way, the moon’s soft light may shine some clarity on our more hidden caverns, those emotional realms you may not consciously choose to enter.

TIPS FOR DEALING WITH A FULL MOON HANGOVER

Though there is no “cure” for a full moon hangover, we can use this lunar phase for self-inquiry… with heightened magic to sweeten the medicine.

Here is how we can make the most of the moon’s brimming wisdom during this phase:

PREPARATION

Knowing the moon’s phase is the most easily observable and trackable way to befriend the night sky. Learn what sign the full moon will be in and work with that archetype for greater understanding of what may come up emotionally or energetically.

Notice and track how you feel during different lunar phases – not only the full moon phase. Tracking our cycles of sleep, energy, and feelings can enlighten us and prepare us for better self-care.

If you have any control over your schedule, you can plan for these phases where you may lose sleep or have lower energy levels.

ACCEPTANCE

If you cannot sleep, don’t fight it. If you feel tired, rest. Embrace the cycle, sweet creature. Your body is in rhythm with nature; celebrate that your circadian rhythms are on point and use this time with intention to see what the moon has dredged up for us from our depths to observe.

Frustration does not allow rest, so if you cannot sleep, put on a comfy robe and make a relaxing tea like passionflower, valerian, lavender or chamomile. Use the time you would be sleeping to meditate, journal, watercolor, or set intentions.

Often, when I am awakened during a full moon cycle, I see it as a joyous synchronicity, now is the time to do the inner work that often gets pushed aside for more pressing everyday activities. There is nothing to do in the middle of the night but to fully be with our feelings.

INTEGRATION

This lunar phase can shine light on the shadowy parts; these feelings may not come fully understandable or verbalized. Any big catharsis, realization or transformation must be integrated into your everyday existence so that you do not become fragmented in your experience.

Instead, pull in your new gems of understanding with gratitude and put concerted effort toward being gentle to the body as we move through new and profound energetic changes.

Drink lots of water and broths. Eat nourishing, slow-cooked food. Rest as much as you can. Develop an embodied ritual during the full moon like body oiling, an herbal bath, or a steam.

Integration is a process that cannot be rushed. It is like getting over the flu, though you feel you are through the worst of it, your recovering body needs extra care before feeling totally robust again.

In the same way, if you lose sleep, shed a few tears, or have a metamorphic realization, give yourself time to lean into your newfound insight.

You are a creature of this earth, inseparable from the energetic and physical pulls of nature’s cycles. Allow the full moon to do her work on you.

When we receive moon medicine with grace, we learn how to better nurture ourselves. The lunar pearls of wisdom become a source of kindness and profound self-acceptance.

A person who can accept and nurture themselves always has a soft place to land.

JANUARY’S SUPER BLOOD WOLF MOON IS A CAN’T-MISS LUNAR ECLIPSE

JANUARY’S SUPER BLOOD WOLF MOON IS A CAN’T-MISS LUNAR ECLIPSE

At 9:16 p.m. PST on January 20, 2019, the full moon will be in Leo — and it doubles as a total lunar eclipse.

No matter who you are, it’s impossible to look up at a full moon without feeling awe-inspired. And considering that January brings us a supermoon, which occurs when the orb is at its closest point to Earth, the urge to gaze is slated to be even stronger. Add a total lunar eclipse into the mix (the last until 2021, offering both moon and the surrounding sky a reddish hue) and you have what many are calling the “super blood wolf” moon. It’s safe to say you won’t be able to look away.

As if this celestial cocktail wasn’t high-impact enough, the year’s first full moon occurs in Leo—which really turns up the drama.

WHAT DOES THE FULL MOON IN LEO MEAN?

The moon governs our emotions and moods. And with lunar energies building to a climax in expressive, over-the-top Leo, everyone’s a little more likely to wear their heart on their sleeve.

To make things even more intense, this lunation is both opposite the sun (as are all full moons) and ruled by the sun—stirring up some complicated feelings about being seen and heard. On the one hand, we’re longing for the spotlight; on the other, we’re extremely sensitive about how our audience might perceive us.

Leo loves taking center stage, and basking in the applause that (hopefully) comes with it. We all love to be loved—but when we put ourselves out there, there’s no guarantee that everyone will like us.  This full moon reminds us how important it is to love ourselves, no matter how others might feel.

Fortunately, the sun in individualistic Aquarius shows us how to do our thing, without worrying too much about other people’s reactions.  And as counterintuitive as it may seem, the less we chase after popularity and approval, the more likely we are to attract the right kind of attention—from people who really get us.

This full moon is all about letting your light shine. But remember, everyone deserves their moment in the sun—so if you’re always the one in the spotlight, it may be time to step aside and let others be seen and heard. After all, you’re one-of-a-kind—but so is everyone else!

HOROSCOPES FOR THE JANUARY 2019 NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN

LEO

Relationships make excellent mirrors, Leo—and when the image reflected back to you is a flattering one, it can be hard to look away! Still, if you’re always asking friends or partners to give you validation, that’s not a good look. You may be their shining star, but this full moon reminds you that you’re not the center of the universe.

VIRGO

Good work is its own reward, Virgo. But that doesn’t mean you’re wrong to want a little more recognition for what you do. After all, when your efforts are taken for granted, even a labor of love can start to feel like a chore. At this full moon, it’s time to take credit where credit is due!

LIBRA

The more, the merrier, Libra! But with everyone’s busy schedules, it’s not always easy to get the whole gang together. Fortunately, your friends have you to keep them connected. But wouldn’t it be nice if someone else played hostess once in a while? At this full moon, it may be time to pass the torch so you can have some fun.

SCORPIO

Hiding in plain sight, Scorpio? Flying under the radar may help you maintain your mystique—but it can also backfire by making you invisible. And if you want to be a real power player, that’s something you can’t afford! This full moon challenges to balance your need for privacy with your desire to stand out.

SAGITTARIUS

Call us crazy, Sag, but we think you might be a little too open-minded. Don’t get us wrong—we admire your curiosity. But with so much emphasis on broadening your intellectual horizons, it’s easy to lose touch with what’s in your heart. This full moon is a chance to reconnect with the things you’re most passionate about.

CAPRICORN

What have you got to prove, Capricorn? Actually, quite a lot! What other people think of you matters more than you let on, and if they’re someone important, there’s little you wouldn’t do to earn their approval. There’s nothing wrong with trying to earn someone’s respect—but at this full moon, it’s even more important to respect yourself.

AQUARIUS

Are you forgetting someone, Aquarius? With so much on your plate right now, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s going on in your loved ones’ lives—and chances are, somebody’s feeling neglected. You probably didn’t mean to freeze them out, but at this full moon, you may want to send some extra warmth their way.

PISCES

No one puts you in a corner, Pisces—except sometimes yourself. It can be all too easy to think of reasons why you’re not the one for the job. But there’s a certain kind of heart-centered leadership that only you can provide—and the world really needs it right now. At this full moon, it’s time to rise to the occasion.

ARIES

You were born to be wild, Aries. And no matter how hard they try, you just can’t be tamed. Still, adapting yourself to social norms doesn’t always equal selling out—sometimes it’s just about putting yourself in the best possible light. This full moon helps you highlight your best features so you can shine your brightest.

TAURUS

We’re all in this together, Taurus. But when the group decides to take a new direction, it’s easy to worry about getting left behind—especially when you’re the one who’s used to calling the shots. Taking a back seat can be hard on your pride, but at this full moon, you may have to take one for the team.

GEMINI

Interested people are interesting, Gemini. But constantly trying to prove to others how interesting you are? That’s just exhausting! There’s no need to get competitive about who has the funniest stories, the most information, or the freshest take. At this full moon, just speaking from the heart about what really matters to you makes you fascinating enough.

CANCER

You get what you give, Cancer—but your thoughtful gestures and gifts don’t always get the reaction you’re hoping for. Are people just ungrateful, or are you expecting too much? Honestly, it may be a little of both. At this full moon, make sure you’re giving them what they really want and not just what you think they need.
