Sleipinir is the shamanic steed that can be used to travel to other levels or states of consciousness. The associated Asatru festival commemorates Odin’s eight-legged steed, which takes the rider between the three worlds, from the upper one of the gods, sgard, through our own middle one, Midgard, into the underworld of the shades, Utgard.
