Japan’s O-Bon Festival, or Festival of Lanterns, All Souls Day dedicated to the spirits of ancestors. Day is cognate to Wiccan Samhain (October 31). Underworld Goddesses are: Hel, Holde, Mother Holle, Hecate, Persephone, Proserpine, Erishkegal, Brunhilde, Kali, Rhiannon, Pele, Sedna, Oya, Cerridwen, and Maman Brigette.
