Symbol: Seven Stars The Seven Stars tile signifies creative growth and power. Creativity should be applied to the area this tile appears. This is a place to let your imagination run free. The Seven Stars tile also indicates hope for the future.
Solitude is represented by a single person standing at the end of a boardwalk staring out at a vast, empty panorama. They are truly alone, but may not feel loneliness. They are at a place in their life where the need to withdraw from the our secular world is strong, because their focus should be on their inner self, their morality, and their dreams. The view before them is empty, but it is a canvas on which they may paint their future–a future restricted only by the size of their imagination and courage. For them Solitude is a choice. They chose to take the walkway that distances them from the rest of us. It is also a choice that can be undone. Just as they chose to take a path that leads them away from us, they may choose to turn around and come back at anytime.
As a daily card, Solitude suggest a period in which you need to distance yourself from those around you and explore your inner-self, what is driving your day to day life and decide if you are really on the life path that is best for you. This is a time to revitalize your spirit, and draw your dreams for the future.
Meanings: This is a rune of difficulty and negative influences will rule your life for a time, but as all difficulties are a learning experience it will lead to improved personal perspective and progress on your life’s path. Always consult the surrounding runes with this stone. If it lies with a positive stone, it indicates that the pain of this experience will lead to a beneficial change in circumstances.
The Empress is “The Earth Mother” of the Tarot. She embodies all that is nurturing, clean and wholesome. Her powers resonate from her drive to create and care for life on a grand scale. She is in tune with Nature’s rhythm and realizes that life’s most pleasurable moments often stem from the simplest things. She is not afraid to enjoy herself–to let loose—to the point of being lavish. Abundance and luxury are important to her. The Empress is completely comfortable with her femininity and her sexuality. She is sensual, earthy, generous, and likes the good life. Still, her driving force is a need to create and nurture, and fulfilling this need overrides everything else.
Casting the Stones, Your Past, Present & Future Reading for Today
The Past Naudhiz
Naudhiz may foretell needs unmet and friction in relationships. You may be in a time where you should be very careful in whatever endeavor you take on. Also it may be that you are about to learn some of life’s hard lessons and come out the other side of this period a stronger being.
The Present Wunjo
Wunjo denotes joy and shared bliss. It may also represent a job well done and the satisfaction one feels from completing such a task. Wunjo brings good fortune and harmony.
The Future Othala
Othala reversed represents chaos and homelessness—a general lack of roots. Now is a time for you to take care of that which you have, so as not to lose it.
The Sun Rune, denotes power and strength. That which you want may be attained. Sowilo also denotes mental clarity and added warmth to your relationships.
Additional information about Today’s Rune, Sowilo
sowulo : sun
Phonetic equivalent: s
DIVINATORY MEANINGS: success, positive energy, increase, power, activity, fertility, health
ANALYSIS: The sun is held sacred by almost every religion in the world. Its light and warmth symbolize life and growth and all that is good. Norse cosmology describes the sun being driven around the heavens in a chariot and chased by a great wolf, which will devour at Ragnarok. Throughout IndoEuropean Paganism, the sun has frequently been associated with the horse, often described as being carted around the sky by a horse. Both are symbolic of life and fertility, and are usually considered ‘masculine’ in polarity, although in Norse myth the chariot is driven by a girl. The swastika or sun wheel is a constant motif in rock carvings dating Neolithic times, and occurs throughout Europe and Asia. The sun rune itself is a variation on this symbol, and represents motion and energy.
Sowulo marks the end of the second aett, and like wunjo represents success and glory. However, unlike the rest and relaxation of Valhalla, the sun is very much an active symbol. We have reached the end of the aett successfully, and the conclusion is a positive one, but in this case we are fully aware of the changing and transient nature of the universe. We can see the wolf at heels, and we know that we must move on. Here, though, the journeyer may pause briefly in the warmth and light of the sun, absorbing and applying its energy to the work ahead. This time we won’t need to be blasted out of our safe position, but will rather choose to leave it in order to continue on the journey.
Have you ever been scared to get a Tarot reading? Most people find the insight we can get from Tarot cards thrilling, but there are some who find the process intimidating or frightening. If you’re one of those few, it’s time to face your fear of Tarot so you can move past it.
We spoke with Tarot expert Jewels Edwards, a psychic and contemporary mystic in Portland, Ore., who has been using Tarot as a tool of insight for more than 20 years, to help explain why Tarot is frightening for some — and why it shouldn’t be.
“Tarot is simply a tool for receiving messages from other dimensions,” Edwards said. “It is not evil, harmful or tainted in any way. It’s a method to bring the information through with clarity and integrity.”
Edwards is able to use Tarot to “hear” messages from the spirit, higher consciousness or universal consciousness (whatever you choose to label it).
“Some people have heard or developed a belief that Tarot comes from the devil or is likely to bring in dark energy, but none of this is true,” Edwards said. “Tarot is only a tool, like a hammer, for bringing through information for the benefit of the questioner.”
You can change your future
But what if the information that comes through is something terrible you don’t want to hear? That’s the biggest fear for most when it comes to Tarot readings.
“The fear comes from being afraid that something horrific is going to show up, like a fatal disease, the death of a loved one, a divorce or breakup of some kind, or the ending of a job,” Edwards said. “If people do receive this kind of information, what is truly fear-provoking is that they won’t be able to change it and that they are stuck with that particular outcome.”
However, that’s not true. The whole point of doing a Tarot reading is so you’ll have the insight and advice you need to change your life for the better. “People are afraid because they believe they are helpless to change some negative future outcomes, but nothing is farther from the truth, Edwards said. “While difficult potential futures do sometimes show up, Tarot is only to show the questioner what is most likely to happen so they have the opportunity to change it.”
The Emperor is blessed with the skills to successfully lead others. He can turn chaos into order and provide structure to that which is unbound. He is quick of mind and confident in his power and right to rule, and does so in a just manner. Although stern by nature, he truly is the ultimate father figure. He will provide as needed, teach those with unanswered questions, protect the vulnerable, set and maintain boundaries. His perfect world runs on schedule and is free of any disturbances. What the Emperor must be wary of is setting boundaries and rules where none are needed. If he isn’t careful not to over use his powers he may well become a tyrant.
The other day I was visiting my mother. Over cake and coffee, she inhaled her electronic cigarette while staring at me in that “I’m your mom and I know something’s up” kind of way. Finally, she spoke up: “OK, Maria, what’s wrong with you now?”
I looked up from my plate of chocolate oblivion and sighed. “Nothing. Nothing’s wrong … and that’s the problem. For the first time since I can remember, I don’t have a major life crisis to deal with. I feel lost — unsettled. What do I do with my life when I don’t have a fire to extinguish?”
You see, I don’t know how to float in the sea of normal. I’m used to fighting for my life; flailing in an ocean of chaos. I thought for sure that the recent April insanity of the Cardinal Grand Cross combined with eclipse season would bring an intense catastrophe my way. I even consulted colleagues about how direct my personal birth chart would be hit. Everyone corroborated: Something major was up.
But nothing happened. Nothing that would fit the bill of life-changing or traumatic or shocking. I was not brought to my knees. In fact, all has been calm. Anything that did transpire in April was, dare I say … GOOD!
Disturbed by the lack of disturbance…
This left me more than a little disturbed. If I’m being honest, I felt punked by the universe. Exact math … stressful astrology. I was dumbfounded. Where’s the crisis? Where’s the drama?
I was so sure April would bring me a major personal fire to put out that I did as much advance preparation as I could. I decided to clear my schedule and not see clients or teach classes for the second half of April. I figured if I had a lighter load it would be easier to deal with whatever the universe planned to hurl my way.
What did I get? An unexpected mini-vacation. Time to think and reflect. Why wasn’t the Astrology “working,” I wondered. It didn’t make an ounce of sense.
Until my mother helped me put it into perspective.
She pointed out that maybe, for me, the developmental stress suggested by April’s planetary patterns was more about learning how to bury the saga of a trauma filled journey and learn to accept — even enjoy — something a little less abrasive. A life that is a bit more peaceful. Normal.
Maybe April’s tense sky mixed with my own birth chart in a way that’s similar to the strange mathematical process where two negatives multiplied equal a positive.
It’s actually OK to be happy!
Either way, now that May is here and I’m about to celebrate my 40th birthday, I realize something about myself as a person. Not surprisingly, it was the Astrology of April NOT fitting that led to this awakening. You see, I tend to deny myself permission to be happy and at peace. And you know what? That’s not cool anymore.
Maybe I can blame natal Venus square Saturn, but for the majority of my current incarnation all I remember thinking is that: “When I’m older I’ll enjoy my life more. Later. Joy will come later.” I spent the first 40 years of my life convincing myself that I hadn’t earned the right to be happy yet.
Yeah, that’s a Venus-Saturn thing alright. But there’s good news. Venus-Saturn people ARE supposed to improve with age. The second half of my life IS supposed to be better than the first half. That’s probably because, for us, it takes the first half of our lives to realize that we DESERVE it.
I just need to get out of my own way first. I need to give myself permission to live life without expecting never-ending crisis and instead embrace happiness.
When there are major planetary shifts, as there were in April, astrologers presume activity. We anticipate outer events to transpire. For many people, that DID happen. But for me, personally, I initially felt blindsided by the lack of outer events in my personal world over the last month. I didn’t give enough credit to the volcanic eruptions that occurred INSIDE.
Oftentimes, those internal explosions are way more potent than anything the world can see.
How did April’s energy treat you? Did the Astrology fit? Or did it make you aware of what no longer fits? For me, it was most certainly the latter. And I’m not just talking about those size 0 jeans I wore in 2009.
We have plenty of time to process recent experiences and reconsider future plans because we are moving through a cosmic quiet zone today. Although the restless Gemini Moon keeps our minds running on overdrive, we might not be able to turn our thoughts into action. In fact, we may have one-too-many ideas about what we want to accomplish. Nevertheless, retrograde Mercury has us looking back more than gazing ahead until it turns direct next week.
Aries Horoscope Mar 21 – Apr 19
You’re cosmically disposed to be a pioneer, bravely exploring unknown territories and eagerly pursuing the rush of doing things for the first time. Today’s fidgety Gemini Moon prompts you to pile on even more activities to your already hectic schedule just for the thrill of it. Although you may thrive on blasting off in several different directions at once, narrowing your focus and concentrating on one challenge at a time now enables you to be even more productive in the future. Taurus Horoscope Apr 20 – May 20
A realistic assessment of what you need versus what you want produces some pretty interesting results today. You understand that life is less complicated when you get by with just the basics, but you’re unwilling to make the adjustments necessary to change your lifestyle. Thankfully, no immediate action is required now; starting with a fresh perspective is enough to make you feel more secure all the way around. Counting your blessings allows you to see how rich you truly are.
Gemini Horoscope May 21 – Jun 20
Making an important decision can be challenging today because the dualistic Gemini Moon has you seeing double. Even after you make your choice, a single goal morphs into two very distinct possibilities — just like the mythical Hydra who regrew two more heads each time one was cut off. Fortunately, there’s no need to answer every question posed to you now; some dilemmas are better left unresolved. Keep your options open until Mercury turns direct and your clarity returns.
Cancer Horoscope Jun 21 – Jul 22
You probably sound more certain today than you actually feel. Although you may be inwardly lost in self-doubt, your coworkers won’t realize that anything is wrong. Ironically, you’re likely to receive support from others and be more successful professionally if you share your current concerns now, rather than trying to hide your insecurities. Your best policy is to keep the communication channels wide open and hope for the best.
Leo Horoscope Jul 23 – Aug 22
Although you Lions often prefer playing in a pack, you might want to venture off on your own today. The truth is you need to maintain your autonomy or you will feel trapped by the very same people you want in your life. Don’t sacrifice your individuality just to be accepted and loved. You will likely need more freedom, rather than less, over the days ahead. Be considerate and let others know your plans, but don’t give anyone a chance to steal your thunder. Fortune favors the bold.
Virgo Horoscope Aug 23 – Sep 22
Maintaining your sense of purpose is a struggle today, even if you have a very clear sense of what you need to do. Nevertheless, circumstances will likely pull you in several directions at once while you prefer to drill down on the details with a singular focus. Simultaneously, responsibilities demand that you spread yourself thinner to cover the workload. You don’t do anyone any favors promising more than is humanly possible. Staying within your lane now is best for everyone involved.
Libra Horoscope Sep 23 – Oct 22
You may secretly worry that your expectations for the future will be impossible to meet. However, adopting a common sense approach actually enables you to live out your dreams. But this isn’t an overnight project; your long-range planning might take months, or even years, to manifest. If you find yourself growing anxious or restless now, remember the old adage, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Relax; you have more time than you think to create your perfect life.
Scorpio Horoscope Oct 23 – Nov 21
Sometimes you dive into an emotional situation with such abandon that you lose all sense of perspective. However, you’re capable of being fully engaged without being hooked by someone else’s melodrama today. Your rational approach rewards you with a cool head now, so others may lean on you even more in their times of need. It’s an honor to share your wisdom if you don’t attempt to control anyone else’s life in the process. Your insight is a gift as long as your heart is in the right place.
Sagittarius Horoscope Nov 22 – Dec 21
You are a pro at gazing far off into the distance, but sometimes miss seeing what’s right under your nose. A close friend or partner may overwhelm you with too much information about something that’s occurring now. Although people might go to great lengths to change your opinion, you can’t help but think that the current events are merely a distraction from your more evolved perspective. Don’t be so quick to judge; instead, acknowledge that you don’t have all the answers and remain open to the pearls of wisdom others can offer you.
Capricorn Horoscope Dec 22 – Jan 19
Spending the day talking around the water cooler seems like more fun than actually performing your job today, but idle chatter only leads to major trouble. Thankfully, the loquacious Gemini Moon’s visit to your 6th House of Daily Routine is stabilized by the willful Sun, reminding you of your long list of obligations. Nevertheless, it’s challenging to settle down if you are busy socializing when you should be focusing on your work. Remember, actions speak louder than words.
Aquarius Horoscope Jan 20 – Feb 18
You are buzzing with so many creative ideas today that your innovative thinking could lead you in endless circles. You must slow down and take the time to turn your brilliant thoughts into bold action. However, initiating a new project doesn’t ensure success now; you need to follow through on every detail to finish whatever you start. Ultimately, your ambitious intentions are valuable only if you relentlessly keep your eyes on the prize. No one can stop you from achieving your potential except yourself.
Pisces Horoscope Feb 19 – Mar 20
There is so much going on around you now that you might attempt to lose yourself in a daydream for a while. Unfortunately, you are involved in too many activities for you to get very far with your escape. In fact, you may be drawn from one project to another, without having enough time to settle into any of them. Instead of working yourself up into a state of high anxiety, remember that this level of noise won’t last. In the meantime, set your fantasies aside until you put your priorities in order.
You are a success-oriented, charming, and personally powerful individual. You are at your best when you are in control, your own boss, or working on your own. However, you get along with others and have the necessary “people skills” to do so, although occasionally your impatience comes through! You are proud and not always willing to ask for help. You are willing to work hard for what you want, and you generally appear to be confident. You have a good head for business, and you are also quick to respond to changes. Famous people born today: Annie Besant, Walter Matthau, Jimmy Carter, Julie Andrews, Mark McGwire, Vladimir Horowitz.
There can be some feelings that you need to rush through things early today, dear Aries, with your ruler, Mars, in minor challenging aspect to Uranus. Take the space you need and allow moods to settle before taking on important work. Consider allowing a partner or good friend to help you out now, even though your first instinct tends to be to rely on only yourself. Watch for abruptness in speech and movement. The Moon moves into your communications sector this afternoon, and while the pace is unlikely to let up, you may be feeling a little more on top of things.
Taurus
Taurus
Watch for hastiness in the morning, dear Taurus, when you might feel some pressure to get something done quickly. This is especially important with people in your life. Watch for misunderstandings. The Moon continues to transit your sign until late afternoon, and emotions are intensified and hard to ignore, after which feelings tend to settle. Even so, there can be a sense that you’re on your own on a matter or there can be some money concerns. Good counsel may be available, however, in the latter part of the day about work or health and habits.
Gemini
Gemini
The Moon continues to move in the background of your solar chart until late afternoon, dear Gemini, after which you tend to come alive emotionally, craving more stimulation and recognition. Watch for impatience this morning, when the temptation to push something is premature. You could feel rushed or pressured, and could feel conflicted between tending to personal or family needs and dealing with social needs. Try to listen to your own rhythms and natural energy levels. The month ahead may begin a little slowly, but is likely to draw many opportunities to you, particularly on personal and emotional levels.
Cancer
Cancer
The month ahead is filled with opportunities, dear Cancer, but is most fortunate for your own motivation levels. It’s a fabulous time for cultivating mental interests, learning, and connecting. This morning, watch for impatience in movement and speech. You may want to answer to your own natural rhythms and pace, but you could be pressured into feeling you need to force an issue or move more quickly on something you’re not yet prepared for. The Moon’s move into your privacy sector late afternoon can stimulate a real need for more time to yourself.
Leo
Leo
October is set to put any feeling of stagnation behind you, dear Leo. Opportunities on business and creative levels are likely to emerge now, and enthusiasm levels skyrocket. This morning, watch for impatience. If you’re feeling restless, listen to any signals that you need a change of pace and make it happen. It can be difficult to deal with anything that feels especially restrictive or stodgy now. The Moon’s move into your social sector late afternoon is a happy one, although you may feel a little guilty initially if you’re no longer as interested in putting effort into your work or current projects.
Virgo
Virgo
Mars in your sign these days, continuing throughout October and into November, can certainly give you a shot of energy, dear Virgo. Today, Mars is challenged by a minor aspect with Uranus, and you can feel this as restlessness. This morning you have low tolerance for situations that feel restrictive. Others may be introducing changes that don’t sit well with you, as you’re intent on following your own personal rhythms and don’t much like answering to others’ demands just for now. Avoid taking on too much, too quickly now. The Moon’s move into Gemini late afternoon brings on a stronger need to buckle down and get things done.
Libra
Libra
It can be easy for others to hit a nerve with you this morning, dear Libra, with a Mars-Uranus aspect affecting your privacy and partnership sectors. Past frustrations can be triggered by someone’s behavior, an issue of inequality, or outside pressures to get something done more quickly than there is reasonable time for. The Moon’s move into your adventure and spirit sector late afternoon is a helpful one, even if your desire for a change of scenery is delayed. Avoid scattering your forces and, as much as possible, answer to your own instincts and rhythms.
Scorpio
Scorpio
The morning’s pace can feel a little rushed, dear Scorpio, as Mars and Uranus clash in your social and work sectors. You could have a difficult time taking directions, preferring to answer to your own authority. Avoid shortcuts which can be costly. Find ways to set your own pace, as you can be feeling temporarily out of sync with others’ energy levels. The month ahead is powerful for opportunities, particularly on social and communications levels, and in centered moments today, you are likely to feel rising enthusiasm about upcoming projects.
Sagittarius
Sagittarius
You are at your happiest and most adjusted today if you are able to do something creative, interesting, and perhaps a little bold, dear Sagittarius. However, you’re also feeling a little “under watch” and some pressure to follow some rules. Try not to let this discrepancy drive your behavior or keep you in a state of restlessness. Focus on what needs doing, and resolve to spend more time doing your own thing when it’s truly possible. Centering yourself can in fact bring you to inventive places. The Moon’s move into your partnership sector late afternoon can pull you out of a state of mind that pushes productivity. You may be seeking out social stimulation or companionship now.
Capricorn
Capricorn
This morning, watch that emotional restlessness doesn’t drive your behavior, dear Capricorn. Mars and Uranus are in minor conflict, and this can stir up feelings of frustration with restrictive circumstances and people. Haste truly makes waste right now. Aim to take things easy and remind yourself that you have time! Give others space and do the same for yourself, if it’s possible. The month ahead can be a breakthrough one with Pluto, a long-time visitor of your sign, moving into beautiful aspect with lucky Jupiter, creative and loving Venus, and energetic Mars. You are likely to be feeling a growing sense of excitement and invigoration.
Aquarius
Aquarius
You are likely to be craving mental stimulation today, dear Aquarius, and this morning, could be feeling a little underwhelmed in this department. Watch that inner restlessness doesn’t lead to impatience or the taking of shortcuts that may eventually cost you time and energy. As well, be a little more guarded with what you say or how you express yourself, as impatience with things can be translated as impatience with people. As well, it can trip you up, either physically or figuratively. As the day advances, you’re likely to feel less sensitive to what you can and cannot do, and more in tune with your own desires. The Moon moves into your sector of play and creativity late afternoon, and your mood tends to lighten.
Pisces
Pisces
The month ahead can be a breakthrough one when it comes to motivation and a sense of really moving forward with a purpose, dear Pisces, particularly in the relationship department. This morning, however, there can be some nagging feelings that you’re not stimulated enough. Watch that restlessness doesn’t lead to wastefulness, particularly with money. The Moon’s move into your sector of home and family late afternoon can certainly bring on a craving for more familiarity and cure any tendency to wanderlust. This is a time of the lunar month for reconnecting with places, people, and situations or feelings that are comfortable and familiar.
The Balance of the Signs and the Elements for Thursday, October 1
TAURUS STRONG
Stable and enduring, strong values, unyielding, earthy, acquisitive, strong desires. Can be stuck, stubborn, overly possessive, self-indulgent.
VIRGO STRONG
Meticulous, discriminating, pure, practical, health conscious, hard working. Can be hyper-critical, petty and perfectionistic.
LIBRA STRONG
Even-handed, harmonious, artistic, diplomatic, balancing, strong sense of fairness. Can be over- compromising, appeasing, judgmental.
BALANCE OF ELEMENTS
EARTH STRONG
We are especially in touch with the physical world. We consider what we’ve learned and experienced in the past in order to make the most of the present. We can be cautious, practical, and possibly unimaginative. We are deliberate and can pace ourselves well. We need hands-on experience and are not impressed with theory as much as we are with results. Routines are tolerable and comforting.
WATER WEAK
There may be some insensitivity or lack of empathy now. We may be out of touch with what we’re feeling or with our emotional needs. We may be tougher than usual now, and more inclined to follow mental or practical considerations than we are to listen to our intuition.

Finally, we have switched over to a new month and new energy. These last few days of September have been really tough as we processed the energy of the eclipses, retrogrades, astro aspects, and saw them reflected in the world stage. We also had a very large energy download in September’s final days that felt great at first, then we all had energy hangovers as we tried to process and align with these new higher frequencies. We’re on target with our individual and collective path, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. So with all of that behind us, you would think that October would be ‘all systems go’ and it is, sort of. October is going to be a month for learning about alignment and resonance, where we have to first take action on the inner levels to be able to see the outer results that we want. It isn’t a matter of patience, it’s a matter of intention, seeing the process through from beginning to end, and keeping the outcome in the forefront when you need to remember why you’re doing this.
October’s energies will feel a lot like what you go through when you buy furniture you have to put together. Even though I am a veteran of Ikea furniture, I get a little anxious before putting a new piece of furniture together. What if I get everything out and the screws are missing, or the components don’t fit because the pilot holes are not aligned? What if I don’t like it when it’s completed? And the biggest question, how long is this going to take? Since I have done this quite a few times, I have a process. I gather the tools I will need, then I get all of the pieces out of the box, lay them out in order of assembly, I put the directions in a prominent place and I get started.
I know that I can refer to the picture of the final outcome if I have any questions. There are moments when I question my sanity in buying yet another piece of furniture I have to put together but when the project is finished I am usually happy with the result. And this will be the story of October. We have all of the tools and resources, all of the pieces, and the instructions to assemble our new outcomes. This is ‘do it yourself’ time, as it has always been. And we have to put some fun in the process — life can be a chore or an adventure, it’s a matter of perspective, intention, and alignment.
We often get stuck or lost because we’re used to the more rigid 3D destiny path, where everything is laid out for us. This is the path of our karma and lessons, the one we have tried to overcome for lifetimes. Even if we don’t like that path, there some degree of comfort in the familiar. But when we leave that known path for the unknown we get nervous and uncertain, we’re afraid of doing something wrong or of creating a result that we don’t like. We have the instructions, which is our desired transformation. We also have an image of the result, which is the outcome we want to create, based on our intention. And we have the tools and parts, which is everything we have learned on our journey. How we put it together is up to us. We also have the potential to be in joy, which is an energy, not an emotion. It is our intention to be ‘in joy’, an inner action, that creates a joyful and joy-filled life.
October starts out with the remnants of the September eclipses, as well as an ongoing Mercury retrograde, which ends on October 7 but the shadow period continues for another two weeks. In Libra, it brings up relationship issues, with others and ourselves, and also points out where we sabotage ourselves, limit our outcomes, and stop before we even begin. Remember the new Jupiter cycle that began in September (ending the one that began in 2003)? It gets a boost in October from additional Virgo support from Venus and Mars, and on the 24th, when the Sun enters Virgo, the Moon will be in Pisces, another alpha/omega moment, as we had in March 2015. This is where the spiritual initiate becomes the master, where we acknowledge and accept our divinity paradigms, to integrate them into our humanity. It is another ‘heaven on earth’ moment if we stop believing in ‘the great rescue’ and start deciding how we’re going to put this furniture (our outcomes) together.
October ends with the third Venus/Mars conjunction of 2015, this one at 20 Virgo, the same degree as the September 13 eclipse. Venus/Mars conjunctions are rather rare, having 3 in one year is quite rare. It’s the union of the divine masculine and divine feminine that we can embrace — how can we be wholly in every aspect of our energy and be in joy. October may feel like a month where false starts, re-dos, and frustrations rule but that isn’t the reason for any delays we encounter. We have to learn that it is the inner actions that we take which create our outer realities. The clearer we are about the outcomes we want and the more powerfully we state our intentions, together with the beliefs, thoughts, and actions that support our intentions, the more the finished reality will resemble our vision. We tend to blame the reality when it is only a mirror of our intention and the beliefs that do or do not support it. If we’re going to be the masters, then we have to embrace our mastery. We have all of the tools and pieces we need, the creativity can flow this month as we let go of our doubts and fears and let our imaginations run wild.
And we need to leave some room miracles because once we start on the creative path (versus the karmic path), we have access to new potentials and possibilites that we didn’t know were available. Joyful intentions create joy-filled outcomes. This is serious work but we don’t have to take it too seriously. We can have fun while we’re on the ascension path; and in fact, it unfolds more gracefully if we don’t leave our sense of humor outside the door. October may look like it starts slowly but it will gain momentum as the month progresses and in November we can start seeing the results of what we have been working on all year, so we can end 2015 on a wonderfully high note and begin 2016 with all of this behind us. Have a wonderful month.

This is the proper day of the week to perform spells and rituals involving luck, happiness, health, legal matters, male fertility, treasure, wealth, honour, riches, clothing, money, desires, business, group pursuits, joy, laughter, and expansion
Thursday(Jupiter): Expansion, money, prosperity and generosity.

October 1 was sacred to Fides, the goddess of good faith, in Ancient Rome, Fides, who was believed to preside over the swearing of private and public verbal contracts, we typically depicted wearing a white veil and with her right hand out-stretched. When the flamines(Latin for “priests”) of Jupiter, Mars and Quirinus proceeded to the temple of Fides Publica (Honor of the People), on the Capitoline Hill, on this day, they traveled in a covered chariot and made offerings to the goddess with their right hands wrapped in white bandages, denoting unsullied honor and trustworthiness.
Faithful Friends
One of the meanings of the Latin word fides is “loyalty” a quality that dogs both demonstrate and symbolize. Pay tribute to Fides, and also give a canine companion a treat, by taking a dog for a long walk today, be it your own or one that you have borrowed.
Today is the day for prosperity work of all kinds. It can also be used for healing work, whether that is a physical healing of an illness or an emotional healing. Also remember that you have to follow up your healing work and prosperity magick and physical action.
I can’t tell you the number of times I have met new witches who complain to me that their prosperity spell or “I need a better job” spell did not work as they expected. They’ll ramble on and on about how much time and money they spent working their magick….but, alas, they had no glorious manifestion of wealth or fabulous job that suddenly dropped out of the sky and landed in their laps.
Then, when I gently ask them, “Did you enchant your resume or application when you filled it out? Did you do a little confidence-boosting spellwork when you went to apply for the job or went to the interview?” typically they give me a blank, confused stare.
Nine times out of ten, their response is, “You mean I have to go out and actually look for the job too?” Um, yes, my dear, you certainly do. Magick follows the path of least resistance, which means it’s going to manifest along the simplest, quickest route. Get out there and hit the pavement. See what you can find. Times are tough and competition for good jobs is fierce, so you need whatever edge you can get. For folks like us, we’re going to get the edge by using our magick and our spellcraft.
Thursdays have such a rich source of magick for us to draw upon that, honestly, the sky is the limit. This is the day associated with the gods of the sky and heavens, after all. Get to know these deities and add their wisdom and magick into your days
