Vidar’s Day

In modern Asatru, this day is sacred to Vidar, son of Odin who survives the destruction of Ragnarok. Patron of leatherworkers, Vidar has a stout boot that he puts in the mouth of the demonic Fenris-wolf to kill it. On this day, it is customary for Nordic leatherworkers to put aside all their scraps and then bury them in a pit for Vidar to ward off evil and bad luck.
