Moonstone is the Gemstone of the day 2/10
Moonstone
Moonstone: A gemstone for balance
Moonstone are one of my favorite gemstones because they symbolize the coolness of the night and the beauty of the moon. Down the ages, moonstone have always been prized for helping with matters of the heart, and it is a distinct “watery” and “feminine” stone. Moonstone is an orthoclase feldspar and comprises a complex mineral
Herb of the Day: Almond (Prunus Communis, P.Dulcis)
Folk Name: Greek Nuts
Gender: Masculine
Planet: Mercury
Element: Air
Deities: Attis, Mercury, Thoth, Hermes
Powers: Money, Prosperity, Wisdom
Magickal Uses: Almonds, as well as the leaves and wood of the tree, are used in prosperity and money spells. Additionally, climbing an almond tree is said to ensure success in business ventures.
Eating almonds will cure or combat fevers as well as give the partaker wisdom. Five almonds eaten before drinking prevents intoxication.
Magickal wands are made of almond wood, for it is a plant of Air, which is the elemental ruler of the magick wand, in some traditions.
Finally, placing almonds in your pocket will lead you to treasures.
Warning: Bitter Almond is NOT for internal use.

“Phoenix Rising” – ( Rebirthing Wild Love )
I honor the beauty and blessing in the opportunity to feel primal. I whole heartedly accept our Return to the Wildness: A rebirth into the process of transformation within the womb of the unknown.
Its time to dance in our wildness! Allow our raw humanity to take hold of all that we are. Allow Spirit to nourish our deep hidden treasures through releasing into our primal nature. Its time to embody our gifts of being here empowered, allowing our footsteps to shake up the very foundation of this earth. By embracing the mystery of becoming all that we are into our life, we allow transformation to root into this world.
We are now being asked to breath life into this sacred dream by living and grounding these truths into our reality. It is important that we learn to love each right where we are. Here and now. We have entered a time of continual motion without the requirement of moving or forcing in any way. We are being asked to no longer cling onto illusions of what we think is or should be. We are entering a time of deep remembrance of the divine offering we embraced before this incarnation: To assist great mother and our brothers and sisters of the many tribes in the ascension and rebirth into unity consciousness.
Honor the self. Feed the divine by being transparent and open with who you truly are. Honor every feeling. Each drop of emotion holds the essence of the timeless ocean of all existence. Honor that space you hold in your heart. Know that nourishing your body, mind, and spirit allows for the safe and healthy growth of harmonic beauty in this world. Hold space with gentle and loving hands for Great Mother Earth and all of her children to grow in beauty through you. Honor your wildness.

Accept Yourself
Accept Yourself
Today, accept and love every part of yourself, even those parts of yourself that you most wish to see change.
That which you resist is held into constant being through your resistance. That which you love and accept has a pathway to transform through love.
If you had a friend who gained weight, would you turn from her? Would you tell her that she looked terrible, criticize her for allowing herself to get that way? No, of course not. You would love her, no matter how she looked. You would make sure she felt safe and accepted, no matter what she had done or what had happened to her.
Treat yourself like this, like a dearly loved friend. Accept yourself, approve of yourself, completely, exactly as you are. Embrace every part of yourself as a part of yourself. Give yourself love, unconditional love, and absolute and complete approval. Just as you are. Exactly like this. You are exactly as you should be in this moment.
End the resistance. End the struggle. Accept yourself. Love yourself. And through this unconditional acceptance and love, that which does not belong with you will have an opportunity to slip peacefully away.

Feng Shui Tip of the Day for 2/10
Today’s I Ching Hexagram for 2/10
Today’s I Ching Hexagram for Everyone:
6: Conflict
Thursday, February 10th, 2011

General Meaning: Conflict arises when a person is convinced that he or she is entitled to something and then meets with opposition. In such cases, the wiser choice is not to push things to the bitter end, because knocking heads only perpetuates bad will. Creative solutions that meet others halfway are more valuable and longer lasting than victories achieved through force.
Conflicts in which one party is not sincere inevitably lead to subterfuge and distortions. In such situations, those of strong character keep a clear head, protect their own integrity and look out for their own interests, even while seeking compromise. Often this means finding a fair-minded mediator who can help settle matters.
In such times of conflict and turmoil, new ventures and new initiatives are to be avoided.
This is a good time to examine the sincerity of your own motives and those around you. Seek advice or arbitration from an impartial and mature advisor. Consider everything carefully before making any major decisions. It may be time to compromise. And try to clarify roles and responsibilities going forward, so as to avoid conflict in the future.
Today’s Tarot Card for Everyone:
Today’s Tarot Card for Everyone:
The Fool

This Tarot Deck: Chinese
In some instances, he is made out to be a carnival entertainer or a huckster. In others, he is portrayed as decrepit and vulnerable — as the cumulative result of his delusions and failures. Not until the 20th century do you see the popular Rider-Waite image of the Fool arise — that of an innocent Soul before its Fall into Matter, as yet untainted by contact with society and all its ills.
Modern decks usually borrow from the Rider-Waite imagery. Most Fool cards copy the bucolic mountainside scene, the butterfly, the potential misplaced step that will send the Fool tumbling into the unknown. Don’t forget, however, that the earlier versions of this card represented already-fallen humanity, over-identified with the material plane of existence, and beginning a pilgrimage towards self-knowledge, and eventually, wisdom. The Fool reminds us to recognize the path of personal development within ourselves — and the stage upon that path where we find ourselves — in order to energize our movement toward deeper self-realization.
Daily Horoscopes for 2/10

Your current inflexibility can create problems today, especially if you get into a disagreement about something that’s important to you. You are confident about your point of view, yet it might feel as if others are conspiring against you by building a case to change your mind. Avoid escalating an argument into open conflict; however, you don’t have to be shy about clearly informing everyone exactly where you stand.

The Moon is back for another two-day visit to your sign, reassuring you that your emotions make sense and that no one else can tell you how to react. Although you may reserve the right to change your opinion, don’t expect your friends to be able to keep up with your mood swings. Someone else’s actions won’t likely shift your position, but it’s always wise to keep an open mind, just in case.

You may not be overly expressive today as the Moon squares mental Mercury and energetic Mars. If you do share your emotions, your words could easily be perceived as more aggressive than you intend. It’s smarter to wait until tomorrow when the Moon enters your sign before telling everyone what you think. Avoiding a tricky conversation is much easier if you simply don’t go there in the first place.

You will feel more stable today if you’re involved in a community project or part of a team at work. However, you’re not able to assume the identity that’s necessary for you to fully merge with the rest of the group. Your resistance to assimilation encourages unorthodox behavior, but don’t be afraid of stepping into the circle — even if you believe you would be more comfortable standing out on the edge.

The Moon in your 10th House of Public Responsibility indicates that you are being asked to pitch in and help someone out now, even if you’re weary of putting your needs second. But your generosity of spirit prevails because ultimately you want to assist others in reaching their potential. Nevertheless, the Sun’s tense connection to relentless Pluto enables you to make a plan and then stick with it as if your life depends on it. Focusing on the details should allow things to flow more easily throughout the day.

You are in an efficient mode of operation today, so don’t be afraid to push hard to accomplish as much as possible. However, you still need to pay attention to the boundaries of your co-workers or you might inadvertently offend someone you thought was your ally. Don’t set your goals so high that you end up frustrated. Rely on tried and true methodologies to get ahead now, rather than counting solely on your inspiration.

You may feel a bit annoyed today as the sensible Taurus Moon visits your sexy 8th House of Deep Sharing. You prefer to keep things light and easy, but you could get pulled into intense discussions about your feelings. If romantic energy is present now, follow it without becoming overly attached to the outcome. Don’t attempt to deceive anyone into acting on something they aren’t feeling or your trickery will quickly backfire.

You could have a confrontation with a friend or a lover today, turning him or her into an opponent rather than a supporter. But it’s not wise to acquiesce too quickly, for some things shouldn’t be negotiable. Your current nemesis could appear to be very determined, but will likely give in under your persistent pressure. Patience is your best strategy now, so don’t be in a hurry to reach a resolution.

Your busy day may not be as inspiring as you wish, but you have important things to do at work nonetheless, and they can bring you the extra motivation you need today. You want to finish everything you started because you don’t want the heaviness of unfulfilled promises weighing on your mind. Although it goes against your nature, you would be wise now to let go of the big picture and concentrate on the details one item at a time.

The earthy Taurus Moon assists you in a practical way today when she visits your 5th House of Creativity. You have a magic touch now, and can use it to your advantage by giving yourself permission to have fun, even while you’re working. Don’t let financial considerations stand in your way; stressful money issues should only take a few days to settle down.

You have been riding on an energetic high recently as action-hero Mars continues to escort the Sun through your sign. But today, your needs don’t jive with where you are currently heading. The more you attempt to get back to basics, the more complicated everything becomes. Rather than relying on logic to figure out what to do, trust your instincts now. They will steer you in the right direction in your search for answers.

You could become single-minded now in your quest to accomplish your goals because you want to justify taking time off later. But you have already overloaded your calendar with so much to do that it will be a miracle if you can meet your own expectations. Although you may be highly motivated, it’s wise not to stress. Instead of attempting to do everything today, give yourself more time to complete your tasks.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – February 9
“It can be 100 degrees in the shade one afternoon and suddenly there comes a storm with hailstones as big as golf balls, the prairie is all white and your teeth chatter. That’s good – a reminder that you are just a small particle of nature, not so powerful as you think.”
–Lame Deer, LAKOTA
No event, no relationship, no joy, no sadness, no situation ever stays the same. Every setback is only temporary. Even setbacks change. Why? Because the Great Spirit designed the world to be constantly changing. We are not the center of the universe, we are but a small part. The whole is constantly changing, and we as humans are constantly participating in the change. We have two choices, to resist change or participate in the change. Every change can be resisted, and every change can be made in cooperation. What will I choose today, resistance or cooperation?
Great Spirit, teach me to make cooperative changes.

February 9 – Daily Feast
February 9 – Daily Feast
To some, power is domination, ruling anything defenseless. But that isn’t power, it is abuse, and abuse is cowardly. Abuse takes advantage where it can, always pretending to be the victim, but looking for the opportunity to overpower. Forget the idea that power is from the world. Whole worlds have been changed in minutes. Power that was bold and bragging can suddenly be a whimper. Empires have crashed and those that caused so much misery have deflated like balloons. Real power is not nigvnhdiha, which is understood by the Cherokee to be put on. It is from an inner source, characteristically calm, like a great river that flows smoothly but drives huge cities with energy. A single drop of water seems powerless and takes the way of least resistance, but joined to all the others, it has force. One person may seem inadequate to change anything, but united with others, can change anything.

The Goddess Companion
If I were adrift upon the ocean
with demons and dragons all around,
I would think of sweet Kuan-Yin
and the angry waters would subside.
If I were trapped within a furnace
as hot as hell’s own blazes,
I would think of Kuan-Yin’s power,
and the flames would turn to water.
If enemies pursued me, if I were thrown
from a high mountain peak, if knives
were raised against me, if I were imprisoned
or beset by beasts, I would call on her.
Her pity shields me from the lightning.
Her compassion is like a cloud around me,
which rains down sweetness and
puts out the fires of my sorrow.
~Chinese Prayer To Kuan-Yin
In China, this is the birthday of the great bodhisattva (near Buddha) Kuan-Yin, “she who hears the cries of the weeping world.” Born a human girl named Miao Shan, she earned enlightenment but refused it out of compassion for those who remained unenlightened here on earth. She will not, it is said, move into true Buddhahood so long as there is even one living being who has not seen the light of truth.
We can call out to her, Chinese tradition says, merely by uttering her name. The holy name of Kuan-Yin is the greatest protection we have against anything that threatens us. Or, put another way: recognition of the goddess’light, which shines throughout creation, is our greatest source of strength.

Crone’s Corner – Getting Ready For Valentine’s Day
Crone’s Corner – Getting Ready For Valentine’s Day
In the early days of the American South, it was thought that if a woman wore a wasp’s nest in her clothing (hidden in her bustle), that her lover would love her more deeply. Don’t try this one at home, kids!
Feng Shui For Lovers!
A tall vase of pussy-willows placed in the southwest corner of the bedroom or the most southwestern corner of the house is thought to amplify warmth, compassion, tenderness and sweetness in a relationship. To attract a new relationship, put two roses in the same corner.
Love Potion #69
Two ounces Vanilla flavoured vodka
One ounce Orange flavoured vodka
Sprig of Mint
This is the adult version of a creamsicle. The vanilla flavour represents warmth, sweetness and smoothness of communication. The orange represents warmth, joy, tenderness and affection. The vodka is for hardiness and strength. Mix ingredients with lots of ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour into two martini glasses. Garnish with a sprig of mint – to encourage the whispering of sweet nothings in your ear.
Magick Spell
Take two large sewing needles, one representing a man and the other a woman. Name each of the needles and ask God to bless them. Insert the point of the “male” needle into the eye of the “female needle.” Bind the two needles together with orange thread (for passion), red thread (for lust) and pink thread (for joy.) Put in a place for safekeeping – like a jewelry box and don’t let the needles become unraveled until your wish is obtained.
If wish is not obtained within a year, it is probably not a union that is meant to be.
