Instead of doing daily horoscopes I am going to post one for the week. The reason for this is we have readers from all over Mother Earth and it will be timely for both hemispheres. All Signs
This week planetary aspects with Mercury are tricky. Mercury is the planet of communications. It governs how we think and it influences our daily activities and choices, as well as ground transportation. (This is why errors, delays and car problems occur when Mercury is retrograde.) This week two different planetary events will occur with Mercury: It will be at odds with fuzzy Neptune, which creates confused thinking and deceit; while at the same time, Mercury will oppose Jupiter, which will magnify things and create false confidence. This is classic. We’ve all seen this character in the movies. He’s the guy who doesn’t get it but he’s super confident! (Do you think this is the perfect week to hit a few karaoke bars?)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Be careful, dear Aries, because this week, you see the world through a different lens than anyone else. Obviously, you will think you are seeing the real world (which in itself is a debate) but believe me, you’ll be seeing your own version. This is why misunderstandings with others will take place. Neighbours, friends and siblings will not grasp what you mean, and vice versa, you will miss their meaning as well. Nevertheless, your enthusiasm for something will encourage you to go blindly ahead! This means you must listen if someone is urging you to put on the brakes. Fortunately, by the end of the week, issues that relate to your finances look solid and safe. Be thankful for this blessing.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Please be careful this week because the challenges with Mercury that I refer to in All Signs above will impact your finances. If you’re making big money decisions, this could be dangerous. For starters, your take on financial matters and cash flow, earnings – whatever – might be faulty because you don’t have enough information, you have the wrong information, or someone has deceived you or perhaps even you are deceiving yourself? Combined with this is a rosy confidence – a false optimism about what is taking place. You are hopeful and sure about what you are doing but you could be kidding yourself or acting in error. For your own protection, give everything a sober, second thought.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Because Mercury is your ruler, you will definitely feel influenced by its adverse relationship to fuzzy Neptune. You might misunderstand something. You might misinterpret it. Someone might give you false information or mislead you. Or perhaps, wishful thinking is what will trick you? This tendency for erroneous thinking will be magnified and further confused because of a false sense of optimism about things. You feel you can’t lose! You’ve got the winning ticket. You know what’s going on! But do you really? At the very least, this could lead to behaviour that makes you feel sheepish. One of those “me duh” moments. But at worst, you might make a terrible gaffe with a boss or someone important whom you want to impress. Ouch.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
This week you might be your own worst enemy. For some reason, silly, self-defeating behaviour patterns seem to surface and they’re beyond your control. You mean well. You feel that you are acting responsibly in a caring fashion; and yet, you will say or do something that upsets someone or makes them lose confidence in you. Be careful. More often than not, when you try to make an impression, chances are that’s the impression you make. (One of those pathetic moments that make us wince.) Be careful of false bravado. Instead, be circumspect and perhaps even hold your tongue. Fortunately, someone older or more experienced has excellent advice for you. At least, listen.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Misunderstandings with friends as well as members of groups will be classic for you this week. You might assume someone wants something or doesn’t want something because to you, this is obvious. However, what you don’t know is that your assumption is false. This could be because you are confused or because you don’t have all the facts. Therefore, tread carefully when talking to friends and assume nothing. Make a strong effort to clearly hear where they are coming from. Jupiter will trick you into thinking you see the whole picture – easy peasy – when in fact, you do not. This is humiliating because you will end up with egg on your face. (Ketchup helps.) Fortunately, relations with bosses, parents and VIPs are solid – in fact, excellent!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
The area where you have to be careful, and make every effort to be clearly understood relates to your dealings with authority figures – parents, teachers, bosses, VIPs and the police. Because these people have power over your life, if you create a wrong impression or make a fool of yourself, there’s a cost to pay. You are an analytical, logical, intelligent sign. You don’t need this. Do your best to edit what you say to important people, especially if you think you have a great idea because it’s so easy to be misunderstood this week and also to misunderstand others. However, this is a great week to make solid travel plans and move forward in publishing, the media, higher education, medicine and the law.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
The confusion that can impact you this week from Mercury being at odds with both Neptune and Jupiter will affect you in areas related to the law, medicine, higher education and publishing. It can also create errors or misconceptions in matters related to travel and dealing with foreign countries and people from other cultures. In particular, you will be susceptible to religious and political propaganda. Do not believe everything you hear! Likewise, be careful about proselytizing your own ideas because later, you might not even agree with yourself. This week is confusing for millions of people. Don’t get caught up in something you will later regret. Remember that what the large print giveth, the small print taketh away.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
In All Signs, above, I discuss how we can all be confused in different ways because of the challenges to Mercury this week from both Neptune and Jupiter. For your sign, you have to be careful in matters related to inheritances, wills, taxes, debt, insurance issues and anything to do with the wealth of your partner. In a similar way, confusion about who is responsible for what might arise. You might think you have a clear idea of things – but perhaps you don’t. It’s easy to kid yourself this week, but it’s also easy to operate on false information. Postpone important financial decisions until next week if you can. Fortunately, relations with partners and close friends are solid and supportive.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This week you have to be mindful of your communications to spouses, partners and close friends because confusion and misunderstandings are highly likely. You might assume they want something or they do not want something. Perhaps they assume the same about you. Basically, what is happening is your conversations with others will be like two ships passing in the night. A complete impasse. Therefore, when in doubt, say nothing. Obviously, do what you can to clarify communications. Ironically, you will be sensitive to criticism and rejection, which due to misunderstandings will likely happen! Seek expert advice if you have to sign important papers. Tread carefully!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You might encounter misunderstandings and a complete breakdown of communications with coworkers, bosses and supervisors, clients and customers this week. This is because people will be easily misled and frequently misunderstood. The reason things can get out of hand is it’s easy to be cocky and confident this week, when in fact, your facts and assumptions might be wrong. This same erroneous confidence can apply to your decisions regarding your health or even a pet. Therefore, ask someone else what their opinion this? Get feedback from others. Clarify giving and receiving instructions – definitely. Be as mentally disciplined as possible.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
It’s curious that the very things that will make people confused and happily living in their own bubble this week are the same influences that can promote marvellous creativity on your part. Why? Because you can think outside of the box and your imagination can run free! Music, art, poetry, the theatre and the entertainment world are marvellous outlets for your fantasies and your imaginative ideas. You might want to escape your everyday reality either through the arts or by taking a vacation. However, romance might disappoint because your expectations are unrealistic, or perhaps your expectations are unexpressed? Likewise, be patient and understanding with children.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
In different ways, and in varying degrees, this week people will suffer from mixed-up communications, misunderstandings, false assumptions and in some cases, outright deceit. These fuzzy moments will be magnified because parties on both sides will be confident about their stance and what they say. But it could be a blind confidence – on their part or on yours. In particular, you might see this happen in family discussions or with family members. The result might be hurt feelings and the creation of a rift. Be aware that everyone is subject to these illusory misunderstandings this week. Go gently. Don’t be critical. Don’t overreact. Wait until the dust settles to make important decisions. And remember: the email of the species is more deadly than the mail.
