Dark Stars Horoscope for November 2018

ARIES
Others surprise and – hopefully – delight you this November – either in love, or at work. You’ll be in the mood for spontaneous fun and new friends too. Being an assertive Aries you’re likely to say “bring it on!”. But do listen to suggestions from close friends or lovers –  because sometimes things are more exciting if you let go a little and make room for the unexpected. And if there are serious discussions afoot about your career direction, cash, or future plans, then you’ll welcome distractions. Mars enters the mysterious waters of Pisces on 15th November, bringing a huge change of atmosphere for you. You’ve had a long phase highlighting socialising, hanging out with groups, and using social media since Mars entered Aquarius in May 2018. Now, focus shifts. You might want to explore different aspects of your spirituality and creativity, or work towards helping others and putting something back. Lucky Jupiter in Sagittarius (from 8th November) encourages you to explore, study, and travel in 2019. So why not loosen your grip, and see what your imagination can do?

TAURUS
Creating beguiling rituals in everyday life will help you deal with November’s shifts and changes. Your wellbeing is in focus, and your intuition is more than capable of guiding you towards what you need. You might read an article, hear something from a friend, or spot a class you’d enjoy – just set preconceived notions aside, and consider unusual possibilities or alternative treatments. The same attitude will help you with your relationships. You may be keen to make a fresh start in love or friendship, and the mysterious, emotional New Moon on 7th November is making that very clear to you. But pace yourself. Venus turns forward on 16th November, yet it may not be until early December, when she returns to Scorpio, that you’re clear about certain romantic or creative questions. A more fulfilling social life (with romantic potential for some) is about to blossom, so you’re unlikely to be bored. Just keep a very close eye on your finances, especially online, and delay any big changes, investments or outlays until December – or even the new year.

GEMINI
Keep an eye out for those wise-cracking Sagittarians this month. They’re all set to inspire, bamboozle, or amuse you. They may appear in the form of a new romantic interest, or crop up amongst friends and family. Early November offers beauty and romance anyway – even if you’re watching that exquisite sunset or soppy movie on your own, your sensitivity is heightened.  Expect any social plans or travel arrangements to alter at short notice though, for Mercury – your ruler – will be backtracking in Sagittarius from 17th November to 6th December. Your dreams and ambitions may wobble, or you’ll discover that what you’d hoped for isn’t turning out quite as you’d expected. Such thoughts come to a head at the lively Gemini full Moon on 23rd November – an opportunity to clear the decks, rewrite your ‘To Do’ list or organise your symbolic sock drawer. You’re just beginning an important year for all your alliances, with Jupiter in Sagittarius galloping through your house of partnerships. Luck flows through your links with others, but be extra cautious around shared financial commitments. Those could get a bit messy……

CANCER
There’s a lot written about your nurturing, protective side Cancer. But you’re also ambitious, dynamic, and capable of hanging in there when others are bailing out. However, your astrology suggests that 2018 hasn’t been such an easy ride, for you’ve been dealing with awkward individuals and tricky financial situations. Now you sense change – for the Moon’s nodes in Cancer (6th), plus Mars in fishy Pisces from 15th November, support your own sea-water nature. It’s time to think about widening your focus, or revisiting old projects, skills and talents you’ve had to put on ice in recent years. You’ll feel the tug of the ocean, or the thrill of a deeper love around the time of that bewitching new Moon on 7th November. Yes, people – particularly women – continue to spring surprises, but you’re less interested in attention-seeking individuals and more concerned with future plans and fresh directions. Looking after your wellbeing channels positive forces your way now, and during 2019. Why not make a start?

LEO
November’s smoky new Moon in Scorpio highlights your home and family, while stirring up dreams about your links with others. Who supports you? Who understands you? You may feel more reflective than usual, or need to explore what’s hidden – either in your family history, or your own imagination. Some enlightening conversations or connections will help you find your way towards the answers you seek. Jupiter enters fiery Sagittarius on 8th November, warming up your solar house of romance, children, creativity and risk-taking for a whole year ahead. Many of you will feel more outgoing, as Jupiter invites you to scan those glittering far horizons. You might want to travel, sign up for a course, or think about making big changes to your working life in 2019. See what emerges around the 27th November, and also in the days around the Winter Solstice in December. What you hear then could lift your heart, and make you feel more than lucky.

VIRGO
Promoting yourself or your ideas isn’t usually top of your list. Virgo is known as a modest, even shy, sign. However, with Sun in Scorpio and a mystical new Moon there on 7th November, you should be able to team up with someone who can help you sharpen up your image, or attract a wider audience for your talents. You may want to think about working from home, or consider the idea of moving to another location or country. All exciting possibilities, and thanks to your eye for detail you’re unlikely to rush into anything. Mercury, your ruling planet, will be backtracking from 17th November until 6th December in Sagittarius. Possibilities and offers could stall, or plans come unravelled during this phase. Play a waiting game, and don’t dismiss information or news you hear towards the end of November. Much more information appears in December, when an open-minded look at ongoing situations in your life brings amazing benefits that could turn everything around again.

LIBRA
Love, beauty, music and perhaps a little cash are all lovely possibilities for you to enjoy during the first two weeks of November. Venus is in Libra all month, turning forwards on Friday, 16th November. That mid-November weekend looks like an eventful one for many Librans, as does the very end of the month. Either you’ll experience some kind of ‘eureka’ moment, a wild synchronicity that makes you think, or bump into someone (apparently by chance) who can help you make meaningful changes to your life. Opportunities or possibilities that slipped past you in September could be on offer again too. Communication, writing, and friendship is increasingly important now, and on into 2019. Some of you want to get more involved with neighbourhood projects, others feel the need to spend time with old friends or visit family living far away. The more you talk openly about your hopes and ideas, the more help and enthusiasm you generate all around you. And please do take your emotional wellbeing seriously. Prioritise peace and harmony, its what you do best.

SCORPIO
Is your creativity flowing? Or are you feeling stale or restless? If you crave change, then why not tune into the mystical new Moon in Scorpio on 7th November? It’s dark, deep, and mysterious. Keep an open mind, and you could discover unexpected new directions or points of view. Acting on your hopes and ambitions becomes easier once Mars (your traditional ruler) enters Pisces on 15th November, supporting your own watery astrological nature, your passions, and your imagination until January. You’ll be smouldering and charismatic! Ongoing disagreements with family or workmates can be sorted out more easily as the weeks pass too. Similarly, any tricky situations with money, large institutions, or gossip will gradually become less shadowy. Continue paying close attention to what people say, news you hear, and information you share though, particularly towards the end of November. Clarity and integrity are vital in your love life, financial dealings, and when teaching or getting your message out there.

SAGITTARIUS
Joyful news is the arrival of jolly Jupiter in Sagittarius on 8th November. What you’ve been mulling over this year now emerges from the backrooms of your mind. Jupiter lifts your mood, expanding your view of the world and what you can achieve. Just promise yourself to check things out thoroughly, ask advice, and consider others’ points of view too. Someone new and energetic is around – they are very seductive, so centre yourself before you think about running away with the circus. Mercury backtracks in Sagittarius from 17th November – 6th December, so certain plans or journeys may be delayed or altered. It’s not a helpful time for signing contracts either. Some juicy gossip or fascinating news you hear around the time of that talkative full Moon (23rd) prompts further questions or eccentric choices. A lucky break or good news towards the end of November will be just the start – there’s more to come at the Winter Solstice. There’s no harm in biding your time. Luck is on your side.

CAPRICORN
You’re on the cusp of an important year for your self-expression, and for your partnerships at home and at work. There’ll be changes, for you’re releasing certain things, attitudes, or habitual routines. And keen as you are to move things along, you may have to wait for others to agree terms and conditions – whether that’s in your relationship, your career, or your personal finances. With Venus and Mercury doing a bit of a soft-shoe shuffle this month, it’s wise to hold off on pushing for contracts or an emotional commitment. Changes at home, or within your family, bring all manner of curious possibilities or sudden swerves – particularly towards the end of the month. Treasures and brilliant ideas are lurking in your imagination, so why not listen to your intuition a little more and see where it leads? Jupiter in Sagittarius will act like an angel on your shoulder all year, and is encouraging you to make time to explore your more spiritual side in 2019. Travel, study, or meditation could all enrich your world.

AQUARIUS
Brace yourself for a shift in focus, for Mars is finally leaving your sign this November, having been there since May.  Once in Pisces, Mars energises your money house, where your personal values can also be found. What do you value? You’ve forged ahead this year, so are you satisfied with where you are now? A mind-bending Scorpio Moon on 7th November might be a good moment for fresh philosophies or searching out deeper mysteries. You’ll sense a wider world. And if that’s not enough, art and love are all ready to throw some surprises your way towards the end of November. Perhaps you were mistaken about something or someone? Perhaps an old, even karmic, tie is tugging on your heart? Perhaps you want to experiment, explore, or defy conventional norms in some way? Enjoy messing around in your alchemical laboratory, for you need some changes, and will be seeking new directions and radical plans in 2019. Playing with possibilities now is a creative and wise thing to do. Don’t try to nail anything down just yet.

PISCES
The fabulous fishes of Pisces are leaping up out of the silvery sea as the mystical new Moon (7th) inspires your November imagination. If you feel unappreciated, or as if you’re always working behind the scenes, it’s time to take a deep breath and step forward. Mars is, finally, in Pisces from 15th November to 1st January, boosting your energy and confidence throughout the holiday season. And generous Jupiter, your traditional ruling planet, will liven up your goals, wishes, and life direction from Sagittarius for a whole year, from 8th November. Yes, Mercury is backtracking this month, but don’t stress if certain offers or exciting possibilities seem to fade away or go wrong. Either they just weren’t right for you, or you can look forward to further developments between now and February. Be good to yourself this month, for December brings intriguing news and adventurous ideas for you to explore in 2019.

Cosmic Weather Horoscope for November 2018

Cosmic Weather Horoscope for November 2018

by Jane Lyle, Astrologer

From The Astrology Room

Planets circle and shape-shift in November’s astrology –  bringing change, new perspectives, and a sprinkling of magic inside, and outside ourselves. A lively month awaits us.

So – celestial hotspot number one occurs between 6th November – 8th November.

As the month begins, on 6th November, electric Uranus returns to Aries for the final time. Our ideas about personal identity are writ large – from politics to self-expression, selfies to selfish behaviour. There are individual questions in our own lives of course, and there are huge questions that concern us all about changes we’ve already seen since 2011.

On the very same day, the Moon’s Nodes move into protective Cancer, the Crab. It’s another astrological hint that we’re questioning the past, and mulling over things from 2009 –2011, or even as far back as 2000 – 2001. There’ll be some surprising connections and alliances made this month as the Nodes connect with the unexpected eccentricity of Uranus.

November’s new Moon rises in Scorpio on the 7th, bringing powerful spiritual themes. And then, two days later, generous Jupiter comes home to Sagittarius on 8th November.

Jupiter’s expansive effect will be powerful here – travel, education, justice, sport, religion and spirituality are in strong focus. Jupiter was last in Sagittarius from November 2006 – December 2007. In one corner of the cosmos (and in your own horoscope) Jupiter offers us the gift of tremendous optimism – yet we must handle this with great care.

November’s second astrology hotspot moves things around between the 15th November – 17th November.

Love, friends, social life and desires are refreshed, and for some of us a new path opens up. Love potions and elixirs are brewing up in some kitchens. They could have unexpected results.

It begins when Mars, planet of action, enters mystical, musical Pisces on 15th, swiftly followed by loving Venus – now a morning star – finally turning forwards in Libra on 16th, and Mercury reversing on 17th  November.

Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius promises transport chaos, and probably some headline-worthy confusion in schools and universities. Between 11th – 21st November looks especially tangled, with Mercury and Neptune squaring off to warn us of delusions, deceptions, and general gobbledegook.

It should be quite helpful for anyone revising their ideas, editing documents, or re-negotiating an existing deal or agreement. But take extra care. Mercury turns direct on 6th December at 29 Scorpio.

Planetary patterns are changing, ahead of the New Year. It’s a chance to begin afresh, shake off unhelpful habits we’ve fallen into in 2018, or at least think about what we’d like to change.

Enjoy November. And maybe catch a falling star! Autumn’s Taurid meteor shower is said to be peaking between 4th – 12th November.

Monday 5th November – Friday 9th November:

Sometimes, Love is All You Need…..

Loving Venus is now rising as a ‘morning star’ in her home sign, Libra.

This week, our thoughts about love, relationships, and harmony begin to emerge from the depths. If there was turmoil, or even painful inner revelations about love, sex and money, during the time Venus spent rewinding in Scorpio, that process begins to bring rewards and understanding now.

Venus in airy Libra flows with Mars in cerebral, airy Aquarius this week. Love is, symbolically, in the air. Mythic lovers Venus and Mars reach peak connection on 9th November, at 26 degrees.

It could be a beautiful week to talk with those you love. Why not be brave – express your romantic feelings, or whisper sweet nothings? Some of us may be inspired to think about making bigger commitments, particularly if there’s been a recent break up or interruption in an existing relationship.

This can also be a helpful time to review financial affairs, shared financial commitments, or projects where you’re raising money together as a couple, or in a group.

Venus turns direct on 15th November in Libra, moving towards her electrifying encounter with Uranus towards the end of this month. By then, all bets are off and radical or experimental possibilities pop up out of nowhere.

Tuesday 6th November:

Point of Change: Moon’s North Nodes enter Cancer, the Crab and Uranus returns to Aries, the Ram

We’re shifting into a time when, collectively, we’re more and more concerned with where we belong. What does ‘home’ mean?

Emotional security and nourishment is top of the list. Love, family (in every sense), home, good food, protection for our environment – all these things will matter more than ever. For many people, they’ll mean much more than ‘wealth’ or ‘success’ – we question what those aspirations might mean. Is that all there is?

The Moon’s nodes will now be travelling through Cancer and Capricorn until May 2020.

The Dragon’s Head, or North Node, is in Cancer. The Dragon’s Tail, or South Node, is in Capricorn. The nodes act like doorways. Universal lessons and themes flow through their portals, and they signal the signs of our eclipses – and therefore areas of vital change and focus for everyone. When an eclipse connects with your natal horoscope it sensitises that area, and what it means, for quite a while.

The North Lunar node is called the Dragon’s Head. Energy flows in at this point, represented by the people we meet, the projects we get involved in, and the opportunities we take up.

The Dragon’s Tail is the South Lunar node. Some say its ‘unlucky’, possibly because this is a place of release, giving back, and paying debts – especially karmic debts, or other obligations. However, this is not always negative – paying things back through acts of kindness, putting someone else first, or completing a difficult project are not negative things. Yet these important acts are represented here at the South Node.

The nodes have been in Leo-Aquarius, since May 2017.  Here they were about the heart and individual (Leo), versus the rational mind and every kind of group and crowd (Aquarius).

Now, with Cancer-Capricorn, they focus on our gut feelings – stomach, emotions and sensitivity (Cancer) versus our structure, bones, and stoicism (Capricorn). The phrase ‘homeland security’ resonates quite precisely with this Cancer-Capricorn journey too. Cancer-Capricorn themes will be stronger now, and in 2019.

So, for instance, the astrology of food says that milk is ruled by the Moon. I’m therefore intrigued to see that ‘Moon Milk’ is becoming more and more popular. It’s just ahead of the Cancerian upcoming trend for lunar themes and soothing drinks that the astrology suggests will be around during this phase. Sometimes themes kick in a little early, and we had our first Cancer-ruled solar eclipse back in July, 2018.

Moon milk is warm milk with turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg, and honey.  It’s an ancient Ayurvedic sleep remedy. Or, you know, something rather like the hot milky bedtime drinks everyone used to recommend….Anyway,  people have now added all kinds of extra, esoteric ingredients.

Pastel moon milk drinks look very pretty on social media – expect this trend (and the burgeoning sleep industry in general) to flourish while the Moon’s nodes are in Moon-ruled Cancer.

There’ll also be much more talk about work/life balance, with many questions about long hours, poor pay, or miserable conditions. The roles of mothers and fathers, parental leave, and even what stories our DNA has to tell us are up for discussion and exploration. The signs Cancer and Capricorn both love history, and who knows what tales of human history lurk in our DNA?

And as for that amazing, gurgling core of our beings – the gut – I think we’ll be hearing much more about how vital its teeming microbes are for our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. There could even be some kind of research breakthrough.

We’re questioning the past, and mulling over things from 2009 –2011, or even 2000 – 2001. There’ll be some surprising connections and alliances made this November as the nodes connect with the unexpected eccentricity of Uranus.

These themes are jolted into our conscious awareness when the Moon’s nodes meet Uranus in Aries – now, and on into early December. What does home, sweet home, mean to you? Taking care of yourself and those you love will matter more than usual. And there could be new, unconventional, or unusual ways of achieving that just around the corner.

Wednesday 7th November:

Diwali Moon: New Moon in Scorpio

Spiritual beauty with a backdrop of deeply intense, even dark feelings – this endlessly watery New Moon in Scorpio is a powerful one for us here on Earth.

There could be more than a whiff of ancient scandals and the appearance of adversaries from the past. We’re thinking about sex, death, and money….what’s superficial or shallow must wait in the wings as we experience something more profound.

This new Moon marks the start of Diwali, the inspiring annual Indian festival of sweetness and lights in the darkness.

Thursday 8th November:

Big Fat News: Jupiter Comes Home to Sagittarius, The Archer

Jupiter enters his home sign, Sagittarius, today, 8th November, 2018.

Jupiter’s expansive effect will be powerful here – travel, education, justice, sport, religion and spirituality are in strong focus. Publishing, financial gambling, and journalism are highlighted too.

Jupiter was last in Sagittarius from November 2006 – December 2007. In one corner of the cosmos (and in your own horoscope) Jupiter offers us the gift of tremendous optimism – yet we must handle this with great care.

Often described as lucky or fortunate, Jupiter’s most fundamental astrological role is to expand. So an expansive mood tends to be generous, good-humoured, and optimistic. A positive frame of mind sees opportunities, attracts other people, and seeks pleasure in life, love, and adventure. This is what makes Jupiter ‘lucky’.

Here in Sagittarius, the centaur and archer, Jupiter is extra potent. It acts like a mind-altering shot of high hopes and thinking big. For anyone timid or self-effacing, it’s a fabulous tonic. For those who are already confident, its effects might benefit from a little restraint.

The wide horizons beckon.  Mental, physical, and spiritual travel and exploration are favoured – with every kind of education or effort to learn more bringing excitement and fulfilment. Telling others about your discoveries through writing or creating visual stories is part of Jupiter in Sagittarius’s natural expressiveness. The next year will be a lively one if your work involves teaching, travel, international trade or sport.

Sport is real favourite of Jupiter in Sagittarius, particularly sociable or team sports. International sporting events and massive sport-based scandals could be major news in 2019. If the astrological symbolism is really sharp, these could involve racing, polo, equestrian events and, erm, archery……

More profoundly, this can be a deeply philosophical, even spiritual energy. There’s humour, for sure, but often something more. On the darker side, faith and belief can become fanatical, self-righteous, and blind to reason. Giant, jolly Jupiter does tend to overdo things, so balance and awareness might come in handy.

Jupiter’s effects in your own horoscope will depend on your personal chart. The fire signs – Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, and the air signs – Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius – will benefit in the most obvious ways. Yet the feel good factor can be so delightful it’s easy to just coast along. So don’t look this cosmic gift horse in the mouth!

Wherever Jupiter is travelling for you this year, you’ll find that uplifting sense of optimism and freedom. That’s a springboard, and you can use it to make positive changes – particularly if you want to explore, study, or widen your world in some way.

Friday 23rd November:

Seeing Double: Full Moon in Gemini, the Twins

Tricksters abound. Our Gemini full Moon is nimble, quick-witted, and economical with the truth when it suits. And mostly, smoke and mirrors do suit a backtracking Mercury in Sagittarius, ruler of this full Moon.

This full Moon brings a tug-of-war featuring flamboyant emotions, and inflates everything it illuminates. Take everything you hear in the coming days with a generous pinch of Saturn’s sensible salt.

28th November:

Best of Luck? Mercury conjunct Jupiter

Are you revising or reworking a project, or maybe just want to get back in touch with someone from the past?

Today looks like a fortunate time to do that. Rewinding Mercury aligns with optimistic Jupiter in Sagittarius today at 4 degrees. Please do steer clear of over optimism, gambling, or wild travel plans. But, otherwise, feel the love.

The next cosmic boost from messenger Mercury and jolly Jupiter will be right on the Winter Solstice, 21st December. This one looks to be quite something. It’s at 10 degrees, aligning with the Watcher of the West, fixed star Antares.

Antares is a very potent, important star. It’s also known as the Heart of the Scorpion. Antares denotes success, but some kind of journey to the underworld and back again is always involved. This could be through an intense experience, or a psychological trip into your personal subconscious. Some kind of underworld beckons.

So watch out for the days around this December event – they’ll more than likely be brimming over with intense news, passion, and major announcements.

Your Weekly Karmic Forecast: November 4– 10, 2018

Kelly M. Beard
a message from Kelly M. Beard
Sunday, 4 November, 2018  (posted 5 November, 2018)

The Karmic Tools Weekly Forecast covers the current planetary transits which affect people in different ways and to various degrees of intensity. Take notice when it is a Personal planet (Sun / Moon / Mercury / Venus / Mars) interacting with a Social (Jupiter/Saturn) or Collective planet (Uranus / Neptune/Pluto). And pay extremely close attention when it is a Social planet interacting with a Collective planet because that means something *big* is brewing that will move large groups of people along their evolutionary paths. Tuning in to the energy and rhythm of the planets can serve as a useful *guide* as you move along your Individual Path. It also helps to understand your place within the context of the larger Social & Collective Story. Below, you will find out how these energies tend to manifest, as well as guidance and direction.

*NOTE*  There are some days when there are NO CONTACTS (besides the Moon), please note that there are no missing entries, we just list the actual Activations of each week + the day they happen.

Weekly Forecast:  November 4 – 10, 2018

11/6 ~ Sun (authentic Self) ~trine~ Neptune (intuition):

This energy triggers your idealistic, altruistic inclinations, but remember that help has to be invited. But if you have the energy to share & to spare, then dedicate your Self to something greater than you. Choose a cause to support or help those less fortunate for the sheer pleasure of giving. If your energy is low at this time, it is better directed inward. If you can, take some extra time in intentional solitude, praying, meditating and connecting to Spirit this week, you will be rewarded with deep revelations & mystical discoveries within you. It’s a great time to do divinations, ritual or ceremony if you’re into that. Your intuition is heightened also, so pay attention to any ‘messages’ that come through or to you. Try to use this energy to reflect on where you are and dream a little about where you want to be, mentally, spiritually and physically in 6-months to a year from now.

11/8 – Jupiter in SCORPIO *trines* North Node in CANCER:

This is super-rare and aligned at the 29* degree mark which is also potent. This alignment supports the Path & Direction that nourishes your Soul.

11/8 – Jupiter Enters SAGITTARIUS:

This year is pivotal for your personal and professional growth & expansion. With the other planets helping strip us of the non-essential and blast out old paradigms, Jupiter points to the area of your life where you need to grow, evolve & broaden your thinking. The areas of your life being activated at this time are undergoing a revolutionary transformation. Always keep in mind Jupiter represents a 12-year cycle – think back to 12 years ago (Nov 2006-Dec 2007): where were you? what were you trying to accomplish? who were you? what were your priorities? what primary belief drove you (back then)? You may find that whatever did not “click” then, may be revisited now and miraculously supported. Or you may have experienced a 12-year cycle that is clearly completed and finished now. Release, rejoice and move forward. Additional revelations at this time will confirm once and for all that what used to be true for you is simply no longer true for who you have become today and conversely, what was not true for you prior to this time in your life, you may find to resonate very deeply now.

Things to do:

  • Take time to evaluate & redefine your own personal Truth & Story (or have it defined for you)
  • You have evolved ~ acknowledge your growth and development thus far and be grateful
  • Prepare for more radical growth and expansion (of your personal and/or your professional life)
  • Go within and connect to your authentic voice (free flow writing/journaling/poetry/art/express yourself in any form)
  • Whatever you are seeking – CREATE IT (health/prosperity/community/spiritual quest/groups/circles)
  • Prepare as if you’re already “there” (at your destination/goal)
  • Prepare for unique opportunities to broaden your thinking (inner)
  • Prepare for unusual opportunities to attract all that you need, desire & deserve (outer)
  • Write down ALL sudden strokes of brilliance (ideas will be plentiful – good timing is another topic)

This powerful Jupiter cycle to assist us all in cultivating tolerance, faith and optimism. This whole year, most of us will seek the deeper meaning behind our choices and the events that shape our lives. Jupiter will help make meaning of the chaos around us and the only way you can truly do that is to identify what you believe (and hold to be true) at your deepest, core level.

11/8 – Uranus in ARIES *squares* North Node in CANCER:

This is super-rare and aligned at the 29* degree mark which is also potent. This alignment supports Self-Mastery & Liberation as you works it out with completely new ways of Contain, Nurture, Protect your life.

11/9 ~ Venus (feminine & receiving) ~trine~ Mars (masculine & giving):

Venus rules your values & priorities where relationships with love & money are concerned, your inner Divine Feminine that innately knows how to co-create with nature, what to cultivate and nurture to full development. Mars rules your desire nature and your inner Divine Masculine, which is responsible for maintaining your personal boundaries, getting your ideas into the world and negotiating on your own behalf. When you are channeling both through you in a balanced way, what you create and how you move through the world becomes a beautiful dance or interesting story. The trine is a blessing of ease & grace, an easy-going energy that paves the way for balance & reciprocity and encourages independence within the context of relationships. Communication is usually smooth at this time and exchanges can be mutually beneficial. Any relationships started under this influence have a good chance at success whether personal or professional.

The Witches Current Moon Phase for Monday, Nov. 5

Waning Crescent
Illumination: 6%

The Moon today is in a Waning Crescent phase. In this phase the Moon’s illumination is growing smaller each day until the New Moon. During this phase the Moon is getting closer to the Sun as viewed from Earth and the night side of the Moon is facing the Earth with only a small edge of the Moon being illuminated. This phase is best viewed an hour or 2 before the sunrise and can be quite beautiful if you’re willing to get up early. It can also be a great time to see the features of the Moon’s surface. Along the edge where the illuminated portion meets the dark side, the craters and mountains cast long shadows making them easier to observe with a telescope or binoculars.

Colors: Green and Brown

Offerings: Milk, rice, and ghee.
Daily Meal: Indian food.

Naga Panchami Invocation

Hail, Serpents, and children of serpents!
Hail, you who shed your skins!
Hail, you who are nestled
In the bosom of the Earth!
Teach us what it is to be humble,
To crawl on the ground,
To do without limbs,
To be dependent on other things for warmth,
And yet still to pursue what it is that you need.
Teach us the mystery of the stiffening and quietness,
The slow blindness and lack of feeling,
And then the bursting out into the world,
Hungering for sustenance and warmth,
Renewed again like the young.
Help us to rebirth ourselves,
Over and over and over again,
That we might better accept the final ending
When it slithers to our side.

(The milk is poured out as a libation, as is the rice and ghee. All spend the next hour in a drum circle, doing the snake dance.)

Chant: Fur and feather and scale and skin,
Different without but the same within.
Many in body but one in soul,
By all colors are the spirits shown whole.

In these your deepest woods,
Great stag with antlers wide and proud,
Soft-eyed doe for whom
The warriors clash their horns,
Delicate fawn mottled as the underbrush.
The hares are finding
Their winter burrows,
The squirrels collecting
Their hoards of fodder,
The pheasant and quail
Readying themselves for the season
Of death on many sides.
You who understands
The desperate chase,
Heart pounding, feet pounding,
Knowing well that death
Is your destiny,
Help us to make peace
With the oncoming challenge
And to know that it is only
One of our many moments
In the cycle of life.

Chant:
Horned One, Lover, Son,
Leaper in the corn
Deep in the Mother
Die and be reborn.

(As the last sound of the chant dies away, all bow to the altar and leave room in silence.)

Healing for the Ages – November 2018 Energy Forecast

Emmanuel Dagher
a message from Emmanuel Dagher
Wednesday, 31 October, 2018  (posted 1 November, 2018)

My friend,

Thank you for meeting with me again in this way. Your presence is felt and deeply honored.

When we check in with ourselves on a Soul level, there is a part of us that already knows exactly what is about to be revealed to us in this Energy Forecast.

For a while now, the forecasts have revealed to us how the Divine Feminine is pouring Herself into the heart and mind of every living, breathing being in existence.

Our mind would like to think that it’s only happening to our planet, since that is what immediately impacts us the most. However, our Spirit knows that the resurgence of the Divine Feminine is touching every facet of existence.

The Healing of the Masculine

One of the most important roles for the Divine Feminine in the third dimension is to heal and alchemize the aspect of the masculine that long ago forgot its divinity.

For eons of time in our third dimensional reality, humanity has been influenced primarily by the aspect of the masculine energy that separated from its divine source.

What has remained is the aspect of masculine energy that represents the illusions of fear and survival.

It is quite clear that this aspect of masculine energy that long ago forgot its divinity is trying hard now, exerting a big push to keep its controlling grip on humanity.

This can be seen easily in many branches and sects of religious organizations, governments, and corporations that rely heavily on using fear to promote their agenda.

It’s through the Divine Feminine that this forgotten divine aspect of masculine energy will heal and return to its patterns of pure perfection.

It’s through the Divine Feminine that the Divine Masculine will return to our third dimensional experience.

The Divine Feminine represents Divine Love.

The Divine Masculine represents Divine Action.

Divine Love is the most powerful energy in all of existence. It’s where everything comes from. It’s the sacred heart and womb from which everything is birthed.

Divine Love knows no judgment. It only knows wholeness and completion.

Divine Love expressed, is compassion.

For eons of time, humanity was led to believe (through the teachings of the aspect of masculine energy that had released all connection to its divinity) that the Source of all existence was a man—a powerful male energy that lived up in the sky somewhere.

This type of conditioning lent itself perfectly to fueling the fear and survival-based patterns that led humanity to give its power away to a select few.

But now, something tremendous is happening.

The fear bubble of humanity has popped, and the collective mind (though scrambling a bit) is now able to fully drink in the Divine nourishing Love of the Divine Feminine.

This is allowing the part of masculine energy that has ignored its divinity to heal, and to remember its divinity once again, within all of humanity.

For many who were steeped in the fear and survival patterns, there is a learning curve taking place, as they adjust to a new way of being that is in line with their I AM presence/Spirit self—the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine aspects of themselves.

It’s important for us to give those who are finding it challenging to transcend their old fear and survival patterns, the space to integrate and to heal.

When fear no longer has a hold over the consciousness of humanity, freedom ensues.

We can contribute to the healing of the masculine, so that we can set ourselves free from its old paradigms.

We can do this by choosing to be a compassionate presence for ourselves and for humanity as a whole, as we all adjust to the changes that are shifting us out of the old, fear-based patterns.

Compassion is the ability to observe humanity’s resistance to change, without judging that stance, or trying to fix or save it.

From this space of compassion, we can embody and express unconditional love toward ourselves and humanity.

When we and humanity receive deep and nourishing love through compassion, we see that the collective mind and our own minds are much less likely to resist the healing and transformation now occurring in our world.

Through compassion, we can support the Divine Feminine with Her healing of the masculine energy that had forsaken the beautiful divinity that it is a part of.

Freeing Ourselves

In November, we will see more than ever the old deeply rooted survival patterns we have been identifying with come to the surface to be addressed and resolved.

This will allow us to get clear on whether we want to continue repeating those survival patterns, or whether we’re now ready to move in a direction of complete freedom from the past—freedom from the illusions of limitation and fear we once created for ourselves.

One of the most effective ways we can begin to move into complete freedom, is to question all of the fear/lack-based thoughts that our mind has about itself, others, and life in general.

Let’s look at a few thoughts that the mind can bring up to us sometimes:

“I feel like I’m a total loss with money. I never seem to have enough.”

You may have had a similar thought at some point in your life—many people have.

If and when you do have a thought like this, ask your mind the following:

“Is this absolutely a 100 percent Universal truth, that I never have enough money, or that I never manage money in positive ways? Even if that were completely true, would I want things to stay that way?”

Answer with a simple Yes or No.

If your answer was Yes, you might want to think about the following:

Is it possible that you observed poverty consciousness in your family while you were growing up, and unconsciously decided that feeling helpless about finances was how a grown-up functions in the world?

It’s possible that even if you did inherit a poverty consciousness, you are still able to experience abundance at times. You may also still have a strong inner drive to become prosperous in life.

And is there is even the tiniest chance that your feeling lost where money is concerned is just something your mind created, to keep you dealing with finances the way your parents did?

In doing so, you could safely be a part of the family—doing and believing what they did and believe, as every child desires to do, so they will feel loved and accepted.

If you answered Yes to that, this could be a moment of deep realization for you.

Because when we realize that every experience in our lives is a result of us choosing that experience on some level, whether it was a conscious choice or not, we no longer need to hold victim/survival patterns as our truth.

As we realize that it has never been about how hopeless we are at money. Rather, it was about us needing to create strong links to family, so we didn’t grow up feeling alone in the world.

As we realize that, we can then forgive ourselves for what we think are our shortcomings.

We then begin to take our power back, and we become the conscious Creator of our life again.

Let’s look at another thought that may be deeply ingrained in our consciousness:

“I would love to find a new life partner—someone I really resonate with, who offers me solid friendship, love, and support. But I just don’t think he/she is out there. So I’ve stopped looking.”

If you’ve ever had a thought like this, ask yourself:

“Do I know this to be an absolute truth? Is it true that if someone doesn’t have the right partner now, they never will? Or is it possible that there are people who have met a wonderful partner at different times in their life, sometimes without even expecting it?”

See what comes up for you. That first thought might have come from what you’ve seen in the movies—that only young people with a certain kind of good looks or higher income levels find love. Or it might be a belief based on your or others’ past experiences, even though our past does not define our future.

Or it might be that in your family or community, there’s a belief that “if someone doesn’t settle down by the age of 30, they never will.”

All of this has led you to believe that a loving partnership has eluded you, and that you might as well give up at this point.

Yet every area of our life responds powerfully to how we feel about it—what we believe to be true or possible.

Your chance of meeting someone who is right for you has more to do with your holding open the possibility of meeting someone wonderful—and that you have plenty to offer a new partner.

That is far more powerful than what you’ve been outwardly taught about relationships.

When we look at any good thing in life with low expectations and disbelief, believing the worst of it instead of the best, we separate ourselves from it.

When we look at the belief that says, “I would love to find a new life partner—someone I really resonate with. But I just don’t think they’re out there, so I’ve stopped looking,” we can clearly see that that is a judgment based on fear.

As a result of this judgment and self-protectiveness, we have not only blocked ourselves from allowing in new opportunities to meet someone new.

We have also dishonored the whole energy of love and what it can be in our lives, on a romantic level and otherwise.

You can see that when we begin to question our thoughts, we create an opening in our consciousness through which we can expand into higher states of consciousness, and ultimately, into complete freedom to be our higher selves.

You may be feeling some resistance toward what you’ve just read, or experiencing some guilt or sadness about judgments and beliefs you’ve held in the past. Know that those ideas were formed during a time when we were all simply doing the best we could with what we knew at the time.

In the past, our mind simply chose to operate in survival mode, which is another way of saying that it decided to make protecting itself its ultimate priority.

But what if it no longer needs to use patterns of separation and fear to protect itself?

What if the mind can finally remember that our Spirit has kept us safe all along, even when we thought otherwise?

Doesn’t that free up space for us to try new things that will help us expand into greater states of aliveness, awareness, and being?

The mind has become very comfortable in identifying with survival patterns, so that when celestial openings occur in our personal and global consciousness, the mind experiences a lot of discomfort.

Our only job when that happens, is to be a compassionate presence for the mind as it adjusts and shifts out of the old patterns. This requires that we simply observe the mind’s resistance, without trying to fix, change, or save it.

Just observe and send it love, and the mind will no longer feel like it needs to resist the shifts that are happening.

The mind can then, in its own time, relax into our warmth and compassion, as a child feels safe in the loving arms of their parent or caregiver.

What Happens When We Are Free?

We when are free, we choose to create joy and happiness for no reason.

We transcend fear.

We enjoy a full life.

We let go of the need to blame others.

We take full responsibility for being the Creator of our own life.

We are kind, loving, and compassionate.

We express ourselves authentically and honestly.

We try new things, expanding out of our comfort zone.

We experience a strong connection to our Spirit and intuition.

We open ourselves up to receiving ALL of our blessings.

We are generous and giving.

We let go of competition and lack-driven behaviors.

We are healthy and vibrant.

And much more!

The 11-11 Portal of Healing

On November 11, 2018, we will move through an important and powerful portal of healing known as the 11-11 portal.

This year will be extra potent, because it aligns with an 11 (2+0+1+8=11) year.

So, the alignment computes to 11-11-11!

This specific 11-11 portal will be celebrated by millions of way-showers and cosmically aligned soul family from all around the world. They will meet via synched up meditations and heart-unifying celebrations.

This will tremendously magnify the healing effects of the 11-11 portal for humanity.

This particular 11-11 portal of healing will allow the Divine Feminine to heal the aspects of masculine energy that has forgotten its divinity. She will go deep into the heart and psyche of the masculine and bring nourishing love and light to all of him, including the parts that have rarely been touched.

The Divine Feminine will bask all of humanity in her love. She will alchemize rigid and fixed thoughts and behaviors into expressions of ease, fluidity, peace, love, openness, and flexibility.

She will also remind us that together with her, we are the source of our abundance, and that as we appreciate all of our blessings, she will shower us with infinite new blessings.

We will also notice things feeling lighter, so that we can focus more on the energies of fun, play, joy, and creativity.

Below is a heart-opening process that will help us to connect with and be fully open to the 11-11-11 portal of healing.

This process can be done anytime throughout the day of November 11th.

However, if you’d like to make it extra special, set your alarm for your local times of 1:11 am, 11:11 am, 1:11 pm, or 11:11 pm, and try this process around these times.

The 11:11 Awakening Process

Step 1: Close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths.

Step 2: Smile with your right eye only (eyes still closed). Hold for 10 seconds.

Step 3: Smile with your left eye only (eyes still closed). Hold for 10 seconds.

Step 4: Imagine what it would feel like if your third eye in (the space in between your eyebrows) was smiling. Hold that feeling for 10 seconds.

Step 5: Move the smile down from the third eye to your mouth and cheeks (a regular big smile). Hold this smile for 10 seconds.

Step 6: Move the smile from your face down into your heart. Imagine what it would feel like if your heart was smiling big.

I like to see my heart as a cartoon heart-person, with a cute happy face with little dangly legs and hands, wearing a top hat, and doing a tap dance for me.

The key is to use an image that makes you feel happy and brings you joy. Envision your heart smiling and putting on this show for you, for at least 10 seconds.

Step 7: Say out loud: “I am fully open to receiving and giving unconditional love now, with ease and grace. And so it is!”

Step 8: Express at least 5 things you’d like to create more of in your life, and affirm them out loud to the Universe.

Step 9: Express gratitude to yourself and to the Universe for opening yourself up to all of the new blessings life has in store for you.

Step 10: Open your eyes, and observe over the coming days, weeks, and months, the new blessings that enter your life.

And that’s it!

May the month of November bless you and your loved ones in the most nourishing and supportive ways.

Till next time,

Miraculously yours,

Emmanuel

Message for November 2018

When we are born, the stories of our lives are, on the whole, unwritten and undefined. Letters dance around, slowly forming words, and then sentences. As we grow and evolve, the sentences grow and merge, forming storylines and beliefs. As children, we have the freedom to tap into the magic and wonder of the imagination where we know no boundaries or limits, but, over time, conditioning slowly erodes this for many, leaving us like sheep, a part of the flock of ‘normal’.

As a child, a cardboard box was a castle; a blanket was a magic carpet. Potential was only limited by the far realms of the imagination. If we’re lucky, this is nurtured in us by family, educators and friends, allowing us to grow and develop, embracing our unique gifts and fulfilling our dreams and goals. Yet, for many, we are slowly shaped and defined by the world in which we live and, very often, the letters stop dancing around as we start walking the treadmill of existence. Of course, all is not lost, but it can become inexplicably hard to extricate ourselves and re-define our way of living and being. Yet, ‘inexplicably hard’ isn’t impossible, and, with determination, it is possible to reconnect to at least some of that childhood magic.

I think we all spend time trying to sharpen and hone the undefined pieces of ourselves. Some pieces get lost due to life events or trauma, and others fade away, losing their significance over time. Yet, we all have many pieces, and, over the years, we may reconnect to some of these in an attempt to rediscover our essence and sense of self.

It’s only when we rediscover the dancing words – which never stopped dancing (we just stopped noticing them) – that we begin to see the possibility and potential once again. In our haste to grow up and live life, we often lose sight of the magic of what life truly has to offer. It can sometimes be hard to see the relevance of the imagination, or the significance of the potential within our hearts and souls, but this is usually because we are trapped in a cycle of keeping on keeping on, trying to live life, but denying ourselves the opportunity to wholeheartedly embrace it at the same time.

We are complex beings living complex lives, and it’s hard to step back at times to see the wood for the trees. It’s often only when we’re tripped up by life events that we pause for long enough to take stock and reassess. Yet, why can’t we all pause, even for a moment, to do this? Just remember, the magic isn’t lost, it’s just hidden behind the curtains of everyday life.

For now, I wish you all kinds of wonderful.

With love,

Sarah-Jane

Aries

November looks set to be a month of continued inspiration and adventure as you seek new horizons and explore new terrain in your life. Deep within your heart and soul there are stirrings of change, and these are rippling outwards, touching just about every aspect of your life. In many ways, you feel as though you are seeing your life with fresh eyes as your perspective has shifted and everything feels renewed and transformed as though you are looking at things for the first time. This shift has inspired you to think beyond the boundaries of your everyday life and to re-ignite the passion and sparkle within as you re-connect to your dreams. You have spent a long time doing the ‘right thing’ in life, trying to keep everybody happy and trying to do your best to keep the wheels turning. You have achieved a great deal, but your inner passion has long felt stifled and your inner fires have been little more than embers. However, the more you embrace the new, the flames grow, and you are regaining a sense of possibility once again.

This possibility is the fuel that stokes the flames within as it’s warming your heart and soul, allowing you to think beyond the everyday and stepping towards pastures new. Although, on the surface, many aspects of your life remain unchanged, you can sense a shift towards living a more enriching and heartfelt life. It’s as though something within you has awoken and you are no longer happy to focus on keeping on keeping on. You want more! This may stir up some feelings of restlessness, both for yourself and for those around you, but you are on the crest of a new wave in your life and the future looks bright. In essence, what happens next is up to you, but let the passion within your heart and soul burn brightly, as this is your moment to dazzle…

Taurus

As you continue to embrace the concept of ‘letting go’, there is a sense that you are beginning to gain a richer and deeper sense of understanding as to what this means in your life. ‘Letting go’ isn’t just about de-cluttering your life on a physical level and making decisions or choices about the paths you walk and don’t walk, it’s about the spiritual and emotional dimensions as well. You have spent most of your life being the one who holds all the pieces together; the glue that works tirelessly to support and assist those around you. As a result, it’s become habit for you to park your own needs (and wants) for the sake of others. This is selfless, and done for genuine reasons, but it has seen you storing up the many, seemingly incongruent, bits and pieces of experiences and dreams over the years. You have had little time to rest in the moment, stuffing emotions and situations into boxes within in order to get on with the business of being the glue, the rock that is steadfast and reliable.

Of course, you have achieved so much, but there is a lingering sense of loss that you haven’t found the time or space to explore your full potential. Intuitively you know that there is so much more of you that you’ve yet to discover. However, all is not lost, as the more you let go and create space in your life (on all levels), the more you are realising that it’s not too late to grab hold of your dreams once again. You may wonder exactly what letting go means as it feels slightly alien to you, but if you close your eyes and take a deep breath, you will experience the essence of letting go. This isn’t about what you do and don’t do, it’s about how you feel and interact with yourself and the world…

Gemini

There are times when your head and your heart work together in perfect harmony, but there’s also the rest of the time when they don’t! You are a natural born thinker and philosopher, weighing up life and seeking answers to the many questions you have. At the same time though, you are also a passionate and compassionate soul, and your intuitive and empathic connection with the world can often be overlooked by your need to question, probe and prod. There is no doubt that your mind is a powerhouse of wisdom and knowledge, and you have learned so much from your willingness to explore your life experiences, but there is a sense that there have been times when you’ve struggled to let your heart and soul join in with the process, leaving you feeling slightly discombobulated and out of sorts. Of course, you haven’t abandoned them completely, as they are a part of you, but this incongruence has created ripples of self-doubt and bewilderment, and you have often found yourself not quite here or there, uncertain of your place in the world.

As a result, this has stirred up a plethora of unanswered questions for you, and it seems the more you seek out answers, the more questions surface. Whilst this is a part of life, when you deny your heart and soul the space to breathe freely into such moments, you disconnect from the opportunity to grow from the experience. Sometimes it’s the not knowing where the true wisdom resides and the more you can allow yourself to connect fully to your head, heart and soul, the more balanced and centred you will begin to feel. This will allow you to make peace with the unknowable nature of life and inspire you to thrive in each and every moment. So, let your inner boundaries down and start loving all aspects of yourself from the inside, out…

Cancer

As you continue to seek out a simpler, crisper and more enriched way of living and being, there’s a sense that you are beginning to sort the wheat from the chaff when it comes to what’s truly important in your life. You have spent a great deal of time and energy focusing on keeping on keeping on, going through the motions of living your life. However, you have grown a little restless with this ‘autopilot’ mode and have started to re-imagine a brand-new way of living and being. It’s not that you are unhappy, it’s more of a restlessness that’s stirring up thoughts of ‘what if’ and ‘if only’. For a long time now, you have not allowed yourself the ‘luxury’ of re-connecting with your dreams, and you have felt it unwise to entertain your heart’s desire as you don’t see the point of creating more unrest. Yet, despite your best efforts to not contemplate what you truly want in your life, it’s still there, smiling back at you whenever you look within.

Of course, it’s easy to decide not to look within, but ignoring this doesn’t seem to be the answer. The solution comes from making peace with yourself and your life choices. There is no right and wrong here, if you choose to maintain the status quo that is no less ‘right’ than opening up more to your dreams. The important issue here comes from owning your decision and then embracing the concept of wholehearted living. In other words, it’s not what you do, it’s how you do it, and why. Life is rarely as easy as ‘black and white’, and there is no ‘paint by numbers’ when it comes to painting the landscape of your life, but you do have the brush in your hand, so know that you are not a powerless pawn, but an intuitive, awakened, unique and creative painter. It’s time to create your very own masterpiece…

Leo

As you continue to rest within the spaces within the spaces within life, there is a sense that you are beginning to appreciate the value of the quieter times as they have the potential to bring you some much needed time for reflection and contemplation. Although you thrive on the thrill of adventure, intuitively you know that it’s not possible to continuously burn the candle at both ends without facing the risk of running out of candle. It’s not that you are always on the go with things to do, people to see and places to go, but your mind is just as busy, so it’s hard for you to have some high-quality ‘you time’ as silence and tranquillity have often felt at odds with your desire to do more, be more and achieve more. This makes you sound like a ‘go getter’, and in many ways you are, but it goes deeper than this, as, at your core, you have a longing to live the best life possible: you want to thrive, blossom and flourish.

As a result, it’s hard for you to switch off, as you know there is always more to do to move you nearer your goals. Over time, you’ve associated the quieter times with idleness rather than opportunities for consolidation; you feel stillness can lead to stagnation. However, there is a growing sense you are feeling the passion and heat rising up from within, inspiring you to actively seek out those quieter times in order to take stock of the life you have lived, the life you are living and the life you want to live. In short, it’s the quieter moments which are proving the most valuable at the current time as they are allowing you the space to really think about your true priorities. So, learn how to dive into the quiet, and let your true essence rise up and lead the way…

Virgo

Happiness is a state of being you have often contemplated. You realised years ago that rather than trying to seek out particular goals to make you happy, a more open quest for happiness was a wiser choice. You have spent many hours thinking about what makes you truly happy and you have worked hard trying to eradicate those aspects and areas of your life that have created unhappiness. Yet, is it the eradication of unhappiness that will bring you happiness or is there a need for you to cultivate a culture of happiness, encouraging it to grow, blossom and flourish? In other words, is working out what works, and what doesn’t, enough? Happiness is an essence, a state of being that is unique to each individual. There is no book, instruction manual or teacher who can make you happy as only you can do that. Of course, they can guide you, but that’s not quite the same. Happiness is about living well, being well and honouring yourself, it’s about living the best life possible and exploring new terrain. Happiness is feeling a sense of joy dancing within your heart and soul. Or, at least, that’s the general perception.

It’s time for you to ask what happiness truly means to you. Are you trying to cultivate a happiness based on the definitions or expectations of others or are you breeding your own form of happiness that allows you to be you? It’s important to realise that happiness is a state of being that fluctuates; it isn’t a constant. Unhappiness is a part of the spectrum as that’s a part of life. As you look back over your life, the landscape has changed immeasurably as you have grown through life’s experiences, so why not use this wisdom to re-shape and re-define what you truly want? Step more consciously into the present moment and allow the essence of happiness to gently lead you by the hand…

Libra

Your imagination is a powerful force as it inspires and encourages you to step beyond the confines of your everyday life and to think outside of the box. Your imagination feeds your dreams and allows you to channel your innovation and resourcefulness in different directions, exploring new pathways in the process. Your imagination is the force that injects courage into your heart and soul as it empowers you to boldly go where you have never been before. It instils a deep sense of passion, as well as a far-reaching compassion for life. Yet, it can be hard sometimes to give your imagination the space and freedom to wriggle, stretch and manoeuvre as life often gets in the way. You often find yourself too busy, too stressed or too distracted to give your imagination the time of day, let alone the freedom to evolve and flourish. There are moments when you feel like your imagination is more of an indulgence than a part of the fabric of your being, yet the more you ignore it, the more discombobulated you become.

Whilst it may sometimes feel inconsiderate of your imagination to want to light up your soul, inspiring you to live the best life possible, it really does only have your interests at heart! The challenge for you comes in learning how to give your imagination the freedom it needs whilst still navigating the everyday shape and structure of your life. Are the two really incompatible or does it just feel that way? Does your heart and soul long for more than you could realistically achieve? Isn’t that the point though, to encourage you to push boundaries?  It is better to resist the power of your imagination or to make friends with it, learning how to work with it? In the spectrum of universal time, life’s short, so stop the inner battle of wills and embrace your true essence…

Scorpio

November looks set to be a month of insight and revelation as you continue to strip back the layers of your life in your quest to reconnect to your true essence. Although you have been ticking along in life, you have felt a distance between the life you are living and the life you intuitively sense you could be living. In short, there is an incongruence between where you are and where you feel you could/should be. You are an intuitive and sensitive soul, so you feel this disconnection quite deeply, yet it can be hard to move away from it as the more you move away, the more deeply you feel it. There is another way though, and that is to start addressing these incongruent feelings, finding ways to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. This isn’t to say that you should solely focus on the horizon, rather a need for you to stop focusing on the gap so much and instead start to live more wholeheartedly in the present moment.

This doesn’t mean you are giving up on your dreams and ideals, it simply means you are choosing to live as wholeheartedly and consciously as possible in the here and now. You are entering a potent time to gain a true sense of clarity in your life as you contemplate lofty questions such as: what do you truly want? What lights up your soul and brings you joy? You may feel that life doesn’t afford you the luxury of indulging in such things, but this isn’t about should’s, ought’s or must’s, it’s about what resides in your heart and soul. It can be hard to look so deeply within as it reveals the core of your being, but this is where your wisdom resides, and this is your guiding force in life. So, take a breath and reach into this moment…

Sagittarius

You have faced some big challenges over recent weeks and months as your patience has been tested to new levels. You have ridden the up’s and down’s with your usual grace, but even you have had moments where you’ve longed for some peace and quiet. As well as the stormy seas, your willingness to follow your dreams has been put under the spotlight: the saying ‘walk your talk’ has never been more apt! It’s as though you are nearing an opportunity to embrace your dreams, so it’s crunch time to make a decision as to whether or not you really want to follow them. This may sound odd, after all they’re your dreams, so wouldn’t you want to embrace them, but living your dreams and dreaming about them are very different things. Embracing your dreams may upset the apple cart of your life and, whilst you are naturally spontaneous and pioneering, there is a part of you that has been happy to tick along with the status quo.

Yet, there has always been something of a fizz, bang and sparkle about you as your creativity and energy have given you a strong sense of your full potential. As a result, you cannot switch off your desire to be the creative, passionate free spirit that you know yourself to be. So, whilst the apple cart may be in perfect position, your free spirit longs to fling it in the air and find new fruits to explore and enjoy. Yes, you are restless, but this isn’t flippancy, it’s a heartfelt desire to live a more enriching life; you want to feel your free spirit dancing with joy as you embrace your gifts and let your uniqueness shine. You have reached a time to decide what you truly want; just know that upending the apple cart isn’t the only path to joy, so use your tenacity and wisdom and let them lead the way…

Capricorn

‘Find out who you are and do it on purpose’. Whilst Dolly Parton may not spring to mind when it comes to offering words of insight and wisdom, her words seem particularly apt for you this November. Admittedly you don’t like such mantras, but there is a need for you to take these words on board as there’s a sense that you need to reclaim your sense of self. It’s as though you have become a little lost amongst the cracks in the pavement of everyday life and you have disconnected from your passion, determination and focus. Although you are strong-minded and wise, and your intuition is second to none, it seems you have drifted away from your true essence in an attempt to be the person you think you should be. It’s a natural tendency of course, as everyone wants to feel like a piece of the puzzle, but you have been trying to squeeze your unique-shaped self into a more generic gap in the puzzle and, in truth, it’s not been a great fit. Of course, you know this, but you’ve tried all the same as you want to belong. It’s not that you’re particularly unhappy, but this sense of feeling lost is niggling you and it’s hard to shake off.

So, Dolly’s words of wisdom are apt, as finding out who you are is important as it’s your way to reconnect to your heart and soul. You haven’t forgotten who you are, you have simply put it away whilst you try to contort yourself out of shape to fit into the jigsaw puzzle. Yet, who’s puzzle is it? Is there only one? Are you really sure there isn’t room for your uniquely shaped piece to fit? In essence, this is a time for you to realign your heart and soul with all that you truly are, only then can you ‘do it on purpose’…

Aquarius

As you continue to gracefully ebb and flow with the ever-shifting landscapes of your life, there is a sense that you are beginning to see new ways to re-shape and re-define your hopes and dreams. You have been on a lifelong quest of self-discovery and learning, seeking out new ways to live and thrive. You have probed the depths of your soul with honesty and integrity, facing up to the quirks and nuances you have discovered, and willingly exploring new ways to live the best possible life. Although you often lose sight of your radiance as you juggle a plethora of things to do, people to see and places to go, when you step beyond the chatter of everyday life, you quickly reconnect to the power within your heart and soul. Of course, you also expect so much of yourself, and whilst this inspires and motivates you, it can also leave you focused on the horizon rather than on the here and now. Part of your journey of discovery is in finding the magic in each and every moment. Whilst you may still have dreams to achieve, every moment is important, including this one.

The ebb and flow may jostle you around, distracting and befuddling you, but when you take a deep breath, your soul realigns, and you can see clearly once again. Perhaps this is more of a reminder for you to stay centred as this really is your navigation beacon, it’s the force that guides you and leads the way. Yes, it’s as simple as conscious breathing, but that’s the point, you already have the tools you need to live the best life possible. Inner balance is something you’re a master at, as even when the landscapes shift, and the currents turn into maelstroms, you can find calm and tranquillity. Balance is the key to being you and it will enable you to find the key to unlock the door to the next chapter of your life…

Pisces

As you continue to contemplate the opportunity to re-write the rulebook of your life, there is a growing sense of apprehension as to exactly where to start. Although you have been waiting for an opportunity for what seems like ages to make some changes, now it’s arrived, you’re really not quite sure if you’re coming, going or lost somewhere in-between! This discombobulation is expected though as you’ve been stuck in a cycle that’s shaped and defined your life for so long. As a result, you have become part of the storyline, so it can be hard to see how to extricate yourself as it’s become engrained in your consciousness. In fact, it’s likely you’re not even aware that you’re in a cycle as it’s become so deeply engrained and a part of your everyday existence. However, intuitively you sense a need to make some changes and the reality of this feels quite daunting. Yet, don’t give yourself a hard time for feeling this way as you are a deeply intuitive soul and it can be hard to see where you end, and others begin, so making changes can feel overwhelming at times.

Whilst you are a master at giving yourself a hard time, perhaps this needs to be your biggest lesson: stop! It may be second nature to berate yourself, but it’s time to shift the focus towards more self-compassion and self-nurturance. Yes, it can be hard to turn your compassionate light inwards as it’s something you rarely do, but compassion has to start within. Showing yourself loving kindness is the next step on your journey, and this is your focus throughout November as you allow love and tenderness to radiate throughout your being. Remember that self-compassion isn’t being selfish, it’s simply a sign of your willingness to honour and respect yourself from the inside, out. It’s time for your inner light to shine brightly once again…

You and November Energies

A Guide to Navigating These Moments

An emotional roller coaster is likely in November, especially given increased societal tensions after an unprecedented level of hate-fueled violence has unfolded. To be sure, this is the dark side of humanity and it’s surfacing for healing on a big scale. It’s playing out in small to big towns, in business, in social circles, online, and in political debates ahead of key elections such as those in the US on November 6. Continue reading for insights on how to optimally respond to these energies and what you can do to connect with positive potentials.

Big Picture

First, let’s come back to the big picture. Humanity has a dark side, but the majority of people are not filled with hate. Most people are caring, loving, and kind. Some are more loving than others, of course, but people in general do their best to get along. It’s only a tiny proportion of the population that consciously seeks to oppress and destroy others. It’s only a small number within our global society who believe that they have the right to levels of wealth and power that in effect cause great suffering and loss of life on this planet.

Second, remember that cycles of transformation take a very long time. There are stages, and this is a very messy one. It likely will get messier. Yet we prevail. Trust this. We are divine changemakers, and as such, we are wired to prevail and be instrumental voices in the chaotic dance of change.

Third, as mentioned in recent articles, it’s important that we stay present and active during these difficult times. It’s horrible to see innocent people slaughtered due to hate and mean-spirited agendas of others. It’s unthinkable to contemplate that today in 2018 we still have this level of atrocity on the Earth. Yet, we must not look away. To change these outcomes, we must look directly and without fear. We must not let the hate immobilize us.

Fourth, on a personal level, it’s vital that you regularly replenish your energy and connect with your own higher wisdom in these moments. Ask for a higher view. Ask that your love expressed in the world be an antidote to the hate. Do not let hate extinguish your fire. Use your light-filled energy to bring love to situations and tragedies fueled by hate.

Fifth, do not lose faith in humanity’s ability to get to the other side of our current abyss. Be one who holds the vision of a new world in which people are united and loving. Be one brave enough to choose the high road of spirit even when others don’t.

Your Choices Now Matter

When you are born certain things are destined, like your ancestry and place of birth. Most things, however, are fluid, manifesting in response to your choices along the path. Choose wisely. Each choice determines a vast array of future choices you will have. Each choice becomes a part of the unique way you decide to show up in the world. Each choice determines the impact you can have in the world. Each choice becomes the foundation of how you can help change the world for the better.

The Moon in November

Here are moon dates to watch in November, each of them significant energetically.

Scorpio New Moon on November 7 –  At this moon you could have an opportunity for a fresh start with a relationship or key project important to you. Be open to looking at things with new eyes. No one and nothing stays the same. Allow for change, and be a force for positive change in all things.

Gemini Full Moon on November 22-23 – This moon brings amplification and potentials for adding a new dimension to something in your life. Approach things with an open mind and open heart. Be willing to expand your point of view beyond what you think is possible. Be mindful in conversations, remembering the power of your words to impact others and change the course of events.

Mercury Retrograde

Meanwhile, other energies to navigate include Mercury Retrograde, starting November 16 to December 6. A suggested use of this time is inner level reflection about your life and what you want to shift before year-end.

One way to initiate this reflection is to ask questions such as the following before inner work or dream time.

FIRST, what do I need to let go of to have more inner peace and success?

SECOND, which of my 2018 goals is most important to focus on?

THIRD, what are the themes of DNA ancestral patterns continuing to block my progress?

Suggestion: as you do inner process with these questions, remember to relax and avoid overthinking. Go with the first insights that come to you.

You Are Naturally Intuitive

You are naturally intuitive. Use this gift to your optimal advantage now by being present and listening deeply to the nuances of situations. Something may happen, that when you are present to it and take appropriate action, can change the entire course of your life.

Welcome to November–The Ninth Month

On the thirteenth of this “ninth” month the Romans held a feast in honour of Jupiter, the ruler of gods and men. From the clouded top of Mount Olympus he held sway over the whole world, and even the gods had to bow to his supreme will. Terrible indeed was it to anger any of the gods, but no punishment was more swift and sure than that sent by Jupiter when he was enraged. We have seen how with his thunderbolt he slew the proud and reckless Phaeton, and we have another example in the story of Bellerophon. This hero, who was staying at the court of a Grecian king, was set the task of killing the Chimaera, a terrible monster with a lion’s head, a goat’s body, a dragon’s tail, and breath of fire. While sorrowfully wondering how he could possibly perform so difficult a task, Bellerophon suddenly found before him the goddess Minerva, who asked him the cause of his trouble. As soon as she had learnt of his task she promised to help him, and, giving him a golden bridle, told him to bridle the horse Pegasus.

Now Pegasus was a winged horse which the sea-god Neptune had made from the drops of blood that fell into the sea from the head of the Gorgon Medusa, slain by Perseus. He was perfectly white and of great speed, and, as Bellerophon well knew, came down to earth to drink at a certain spring. Bellerophon waited in hiding by this spring, and taking Pegasus by surprise, jumped upon his back. The winged horse at once flew up to a great height, trying to unseat Bellerophon; but the hero succeeded in putting on Minerva’s golden bridle, when Pegasus at once became gentle. Bellerophon then set off on his task, and suddenly swooping down from the sky upon the Chimaera, overcame and killed the dreadful monster. His task accomplished, he might now have lived in happiness, but he became filled with pride because of the wonderful flights he had made on Pegasus. One day, as he soared up higher and higher, he began to think himself equal to the gods, and wished to join them on Mount Olympus. This angered Jupiter, who sent a gadfly which stung Pegasus. Suddenly rearing up, the winged horse threw the proud Bellerophon far down to the earth beneath.

The goddess, Minerva, who appeared to Bellerophon, was a daughter of Jupiter, but she was born in a very strange way, for she sprang out of her father’s head, clothed in bright armour, and with a spear in her hand. She became the Goddess of Wisdom (as we have seen in the story of Paris), of the arts and the sciences, and of spinning and weaving. Her skill in weaving is shown by the following story.

There once lived in Greece a girl named Arachne, who was so clever at needlework that at last in her pride she boasted that she could weave more skilfully than Minerva herself. Minerva, angered by these words, one day came down to Arachne’s home, and accepted the challenge which she had so rashly made. The story is thus told by the poet Spenser in “The Fate of the Butterflie”:

“Minerva did the challenge not refuse,
But deigned with her the paragon to make;
So to their work they sit, and each doth choose
What story she will for her tapet take”.

Arachne pictured the story of Jupiter when, disguised as a white bull, he carried off Europa to the land which afterwards bore the name Europe. Minerva chose for her work the story of her own contest with the sea-god Neptune as to which of them should have the honour of naming a new city that had been built in Greece. Jupiter had said that the honour would be given to the one who gave the most useful gift to man, and he called all the gods together to judge the contest. Neptune struck the ground with his trident and there sprang forth a horse. The gods were filled with wonder at the sight of the noble animal, and when Neptune explained how useful it would be to man, they all thought that the victory would be his. Minerva then produced an olive tree; at this all the gods laughed with scorn, but when the goddess, heedless of their laughter, had explained how all its parts–the wood, the fruit, and the leaves–could be used by man, how it was the sign of peace while the horse was the symbol of war, they decided that Minerva had won, and since her name among the Greeks was Athene, she gave to the city the name of Athens.

All this the goddess wove in her tapestry:
“Then sets she forth, how with her weapon dread
She smote the ground, the which straight forth did yield
A fruitful Olive tree, with berries spread,
That all the gods admired: then all the story
She compassed with a wreath of Olives hoary.
Amongst the leaves she made a Butterfly,
With excellent device and wondrous sleight,
Flutt’ring among the Olives wantonly,
That seemed to live, so like it was in sight;
The velvet nap which on his wings doth lie,
The silken down with which his back is dight,
His broad outstretched horns, his hairy thighs,
His glorious colours, and his glistening eyes.
Which when Arachne saw, as overlaid
And mastered with workmanship so rare,
She stood astonied long, nor ought gainsaid;
And with fast-fixed eyes on her did stare,
And by her silence, sugn of one dismayed,
The victory did yield her as her share.”

Then in anger and despair, the unhappy girl hanged herself, and Minerva turned her dangling body into a spider, and bade her for ever spin and weave.

The Angles and Saxons had two names for this month of November: “Windmonath”, that is, “wind month”, and “Blodmonath”, that is, “blood month”. The latter name arose from the fact that during this month they slaughtered large numbers of cattle to last them through the cold and dreary winter.

Cultivate Catmint

One of the plants that is considered to be under the planet Venus’s protection is catmint, or catnip, which is so named because it gives most cats a visible high. If like many Wiccans, you have a feline familiar, why not plant to grow this herb in your garden next year? Do so from seed, for cats are reputed not to gobble up home-sprouted plants, and you should be rewarded with the sight of purple, white, blue or pick flowers in early summer. A relaxant, catmint can be a boon to menstruating women, too, for the tea can alleviate uterine cramps.

The Magickal Day of Monday

Monday is the day of the moon itself, and it’s a day that’s connected to lunar colors like silver, white, or even a pale blue. Metals and gemstones like silver, pearl, opal and moonstone all come into play today.

There are plenty of deities associated with the moon – Thoth and Diana for instance – and herbal correspondences include many members of the mint family. Utilize wintergreen or peppermint, as well as catnip, comfrey, sage and chamomile in your workings.

When it comes to Monday magic, because of that lunar connection, it’s a good time to focus on workings related to childbearing and family life, purity and virginity, healing, wisdom, and intuition. Do a little bit of self exploration and work on developing your intuition – learn to trust your gut. Celebrate birth and life, and make some magic to fix what is broken.

Monday

Monday is named after the moon. The Latin term for Monday is Dies Lunae (“moon’s day”); in the Old English language, this day was Monandaeg; in Greek, it was Hermera Selenes. All of these different names and languages translate to the same thing: the “day of the moon.”

Working with the different phases of the moon is an important skill that takes a bit of time for Witches to learn. So why not cut to the chase and experiment with the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon in all of its magickal energies and aspects?

Magickally, Monday encourages the lunar energies of inspiration, illusion, prophetic phetic dreams, emotions, psychic abilities, travel, women’s mysteries, and fertility.

Hints & Tips for Your Monday

To incorporate this day’s energy work spells for intuition, peace, fertility, and inspiring your inner muse.

This is a wonderful day to connect to your inner self.

Intuition and inspiration are both enhanced when imbued with moon energy.

Use today’s energy for psychic work, (intuition, divination and clairvoyance), Goddess rituals and faerie magick.

Monday’s Witchery

Think for a moment on all of the witchery, magick and enchantments that you have discovered. Don’t be afraid to adjust spells to suit your own specific needs. Any gentle, illusory, and dreamy charms and spells can be enhanced when you work on the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon. Mondays are a fantastic day to boost your psychic abilities and to tune in to your intuition and empathy. It also gives you the opportunity to work with a different lunar phase each and every Monday, which means in one month you could work four different types of moon magicks on Mondays. How’s that for adding to your repertoire? You are going to have mad skills in no time at all.

So light up those lunar scented candles and add a little mystique to your outfit by wearing an enchanting lunar color. Wear your sparkling silver jewelry and maybe add a pair of dangling silver earrings or a pendant shaped like a crescent moon. Create lunar potions and philters; make a dream catcher and give it as a gift to someone you love. Burn some sandalwood or jasmine-scented incense today to inspire the glamour and magick of the moon. Slice up a favorite variety of fruit that is in season for a snack or share it with your love and enjoy his or her lunar and romantic qualities. Brew up a cup of chamomile tea, enchant it with a little moon magick, and relax and get a good night’s sleep.

Most importantly, get outside tonight and watch the moon for a while. What phase is she in? What color was the moon as she rose? Why not start a journal and write down at what location the moon rises and sets for a few seasons? This is a great way to teach you to tune in and to become more aware of the moon and the influence that she pulls into our lives. Try calling on Selene for her magickal assistance, and call Thoth for wisdom and strength. Get to know the Norse Mani and the Latvian Meness. These gods of the moon have plenty to teach, and if you allow their influence to cycle through your life, you’ll receive many blessings. Be imaginative, and create your own personal lunar magick and witchery. Go on….the moonlight becomes you

The Moon in Libra

Were you or a loved one born when the moon was in Libra?

Most people know that they have a zodiac sign and they know what it is. But you actually have two signs. You have your sun sign, the one you probably identify with when someone asks you to name it. This is indeed the most important. It conveys your personality.

But you also have a moon sign, where the moon was located at the time of your birth. This is second in importance only to your sun sign. It represents the inner you, the things that run under the surface, not necessarily the “you” that you present to the world.

So what does it mean if you were born when the moon was in Libra?

Personality Profile
The quality of this sign is cardinal, and the element is air.

Those born with the moon in Libra have a breezy elegance that makes them sought-after companions. In this respect, their inner self is often visible on the surface. Their aesthetic standards are high, and they can’t help but turn their homes into showplaces because they have such an eye for decorative harmony. This often translates into a tranquil domestic life as well because they also know how to create an atmosphere of peaceful balance.

There’s a light, airy quality to the Libra Moon nature that can be refreshing, especially when they’re forced to put their nimble diplomacy into action. They know that there are two sides to every story, and they’re experts at finding a workable compromise. People often sense their innate fairness, and this leads them to win the trust of many.

It’s natural for the Libra Moon to share, whether in a business relationship or in romance. They’re happiest when they’re part of a twosome, but sometimes this leads to a stifling dependence. They can act as if their very existence is threatened when they’re faced with a separation of any kind. This is because their emotional identity is shaped by their relationships with others, more so than with any other moon sign.

The Libra Moon can claim to be a true “people person” because she often uses the mirror of others to understand her own nature. But Libra is an air sign and when it’s inhabiting the Moon, it often leads with the head rather than the heart.

To hear a Libra Moon talk about a potential mate might sound like she’s interviewing for a job. But a focus on the lifestyle, appearance, and manner of a person ranks high for someone who is looking for a pleasing overall package. They’re searching for someone who can glide with them through life in glorious tandem while looking as polished and put-together as they are—in a word, they’re looking for perfection both inside and out.

Words commonly used to describe Libra Moons include charming, social, diplomatic, easy-going, adaptable, artistic, graceful, and clear-thinking

The Shadow Side
These individuals can tend to be self-indulgent and dependent. Because they tend to see both sides of every situation, this can lead to indecisiveness. Their pursuit of goals may seem calculating, and some might find their tendency for people-pleasing a little off-putting and annoying.

The Witches Spells of the Day for Monday, October 5th

Monday deals with a wide variety of spells such agriculture, animals, female fertility, messages, reconciliation’s, theft, voyages, dreams, emotions, clairvoyance, home, family, medicine, cooking, personality, merchandising, psychic work, Faerie magic, and Goddess rituals.

Today we decided to highlight some of our favorite Psychic Spells.

PSYCHIC PROTECTION SPELL

It is best to find a work area that you can leave untouched for 3 days. If you must put away your tools, try to leave the spell candle out in the open. Prepare your work area by setting up any tools you may be using in addition to your spells candle. (Black) Love or protection incense is recommended.

While setting up your area, concentrate on the purpose of the work. Bathe or cleanse your self. Do not let negative thought enter your mind. Go your work area. Cast the Circle, light incense. Envision a large, white ball of light surrounding you, your work area, and your home. Hold the candle between the palms of your hand and direct all positive energy into it. Place the candle and prior to lighting say,

“This candle represents protection over me in all things.”

Light the candle and say,

“As the light of this flame grows, I feel the light and positive energy around me.
As this candle burns, everything around me is blessed with light and love.
I am blessed with light and love. Negative energy is banished.”

Sit back and watch the candle burn. Keep visualizing the white ball of light and protection around you.. Envision your higher self blessing you and protecting you from harm. When the candle has burned 1/3 of the way down say,

“As the flame of the candle is extinguished…
Evil, negativity, and harm towards me is banished!

Any entity, ghost or spirit her by mistake go into the light and pass on to the world of spirit,
be not afraid as many wait for you there who you have loved and who love you.
Extinguish the candle. But don’t blow it out! Repeat this for 2 more nights. Bury or throw away the left over wax.

SPELL TO STRENGTHEN YOUR PSYCHIC SHIELD

The night before the Full Moon, find a place where your altar will not be disturbed for 24 hours. Put the cauldron in the center with a red candle on the right side, black candle of the left side, and white candle in the back; but do not light them yet. Sprinkle a mixture of equal parts of elder blossoms, marjoram, mint and rue in an unbroken circle around the cauldron. Into a tiny vial, measure equal drops of clove, frankincense, jasmine, and lavender. Set the sealed bottle in the cauldron and leave until the night of the Full Moon.

On Full Moon night, take a cleansing bathe and robe yourself in white. Carry a good protective or purification incense through every room in the house. Make certain that the smoke drifts into closets. Return to the altar and light the candles. Take up the dagger or sword. Face the East and raise the sword in salute. To salute in this manner, simply hold the sword point upward in front of you. Say:

By the power of the rising sun, all evil in my life is done.

Turn to the South, salute, say:

By the power of darkening night, my shield is strong, my armor tight.

Turn to the North, salute, say:

By Full Moon in blackening sky, I am not alone. My help is nigh.
The Goddess’s hands around me stay, To keep me safe by night and day.
Begone, foul spirits, unbidden here. I send you back, I do not fear.
For I have won. I am set free. You have no further power over me.

Face the altar and take up the vial of oil. Put a drop of oil on your finger and anoint your forehead, heart, solar plexus, wrists and ankles. As you do this, visualize a shining blue suit of armor slowly descending over your body until you are entirely protected. Cap the bottle and store in a safe place.

Thank the Powers for their help and extinguish the candles.

Apply the oil and repeat the chants whenever you feel the armor is slipping.

VISION SPELL

If you wish to have a vision true, then put together this witches brew. Mix this oil, this sacred potion, charged with power and devotion, filled with Marigold, Rosemary, Clove, Mugwort, Lavender, Jasmine and Rose. Make an incense of the same, to ignite the mind, the mystic flame. Smudge with incense and anoint with oil, to cleanse yourself of mortal toil. Chant this chant to start your mission, as a trigger for your vision:

Vision, Sight and deep perception, mystic light and meditation,
trance or conscious my eyes shall see, the other side shall come to me.

Now sit in thought, in meditation, lost in mind, in concentration, wait for the vision that you desire to come to you within the hour.

PSYCHIC SIGHT SPELL

A spell to open the third eye

Fill a small purple bag (or a piece of cloth that you can wrap herbs in and tie up) with as many of the following herbs as you can:

–mugwort acacia honeysuckle peppermint rosemary thyme yarrow
–cloves dandelion lilac lavender Calendula – (marigold)

Gather the edges of the cloth and tie a string around it if you are using a cloth, or if you used a small purple bag, tie it shut. (Drawstring bags work best.) Using a dark violet marker, draw an eye on the front of the bag. Rub the bag on the third eye Chakra (forehead) whenever performing divination or needing psychic sight, and sleep with it under your pillow every night.

MAGIC HERB JAR TO ENHANCE YOUR POWERS PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY

Fill one jar with the following:
Cinnamon [for dream Magick]
Nutmeg [for good luck]
Allspice [healing]
Ginger [lunar Magick]
Basil [protection]
Fennel seeds [spiritual healing]
Garlic [spiritual purification]
Marjoram [protection]
Sage [spiritual purification]
Cloves [protection]
Mustard seed [protection]

Before you do any scrying or any kind or psychic work, inhale the scent deeply and shake the jar gently.

CANDLE SPELL AGAINST PSYCHIC ATTACK

–white candle red candle black candle

Imagine a blue ball of energy inside the candles. Caress the candles as you chant:

Goddess of Three, I call upon thee,
To protect from those who wish to harm me
Keep them from using the gift from thee
Keep them from using thy gift to harm me

When you finish chanting, imagine the blue ball exploding into lines of blue. Imagine the lines surrounding you and wrapping you in warm blue energy. See the blue light as a shield. Know that it is unbreakable. Think about how it is the Goddess’ Light protecting you. Then put the candles someplace where they can burn undisturbed and let them burn themselves out, sending all the energy into your shield. This spell is best performed during the full moon.
For longer effects you can make it a seven-day spell.

MAGIC VISION QUEST FOR PAST LIVES

1 white candle
a glass bowl filled with scented flower petals
a bed

At night time, or whenever you have peace and quiet, with no disturbance from others, light the candle, and place it next to the bowl of petals. Lie on the bed, close your eyes, and think back to when you were little, then go further and further, until you slowly remember how you felt when you were inside your mother’s womb. Then slowly go further, and remember how you flew through the tunnel of light from the heaven, and back again to Earth. See your silver cord (the cord which attached you to your past life’s body) re-heal, and you are back into the person’s body in the coffin, or even perhaps, into the ashes, which then reunite to form your past life’s body again.

Slowly, when your unconscious state takes over, you’ll remember who you were in your past life – maybe not right away, but you should eventually see yourself, or remember your name or those you loved. Remember, this can take a lot of practice and a lot of patience. Don’t do it if you are unwilling to devote at least one hour to it.

SPELL TO COMMUNICATE WITH SOMEONE

Light a blue candle. Write a personal, positive, and meaningful letter to someone you desire to contact. Burn the letter in the candle flame. As it burns, visualize the person’s face and the goal or message you want to send.

Toss some thyme, yarrow, or cinnamon on the burned letter. Concentrate on what manner you hope to receive their response. Pick up the remains and scatter the ashes and herbs to the wind.

(Also: Do not attempt to use this spell to communicate with the dead.)

Celebrating Legends, Folklore & Other Spirituality 365 Days a Year for November 5

Guy Fawkes Night

Guy Fawkes Night is one of the most widespread and thriving of all the British holidays and one that was decreed by an act of Parliament. It was in the early hours of November 5, 1605, that Guy Fawkes was arrested. He had hidden 36 barrels of gunpowder in the cellar of Parliament and planned to blow it up that day, an act that would have wiped out the entire government of England-clearing clearing the way for a Roman Catholic coup.

There are several theories, one of which claims that the gunpowder plot was covertly encouraged by an administration anxious to discredit its Catholic opponents. Whatever the truth, the act sparked a nationwide explosion of patriotism and Protestant estant enthusiasm.

The commemoration has become a night replete with bonfires, beer-drinking, fireworks, and bands of children begging for money. Topping off the evening’s festivities, ties, effigies of Guy Fawkes are tossed onto the bonfires.

Witch Tip #123 for November 5th

Pistachios have the unique ability to help break love spells. Use unshelled pistachios in spells of this nature or (if you are not allergic) eat a pistachio during the ritual.

As Lady B Has Already Told You, “Time To Fall Back,” Speaking Of Back We’re Back!!!!!

Yes, it is that time of the year again. The time we all look forward too, NOT!

TIME TO FALL BACK

SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK TONIGHT

AND ALSO CHECK YOUR FIRE ALARM BATTERIES!

And yes, we are back, finally. Oh, and what a good old muddy time did we have! As you know we left here right after the Samhain’s posts on here Wednesday. I had listened to the weather forecast here before we left, won’t never do that again! NEVER! The forecast was for Paducah to get hit hard by a storm system coming through. They showed that on the map, it was suppose to miss the spot we were going. Suppose to go right around it. Bull, it hit us with such a fury, it was like someone was pouring buckets of water from the sky.

We arrived there about 3:30 or 4, I was driving. Lord M, the boys and Eleanor all went with me. If Lord M had been driving we still wouldn’t have been there. He drives like Grandpa Jones. The whole time up there, I heard from him, “slow down, we are going to die, we are going to die.” After about an hour of that, every time he hollered I drove that much faster. They always have a gathering before the coven meeting. It starts at 5:00. It is a potluck, we all catch up, drink moonshine and basically get loaded before the ritual. Except for me, I don’t drink. It is fun, really fun, being around a half lite bunch of witches getting ready to do a Samhain ritual. Thank the Goddess, I was about the only one sober there, except for the boys and Eleanor. We sit back and laughed at everyone till they started noticing we were laughing at them.

Fifteen before the ritual started, I hollered, “time to shape up, ritual starts in fifteen minutes.” It worked. The guys got the bonfire going. I got the procession lined out and things were going very nicely. I started noticing dark clouds moving in from the South. The direction we had just come from. Got the ritual started and the whole time I was hoping and praying for the rain to stay away till the ritual was over and it did. About 30 minutes after the ritual was over, the storm arrived. I saw the lightning in the sky. I told everyone we need to head for the houses. Oh, no, I was a city slicker, a little lightning wasn’t going to hurt anyone. HA! They moved their asses when the lightning struck a tree about 500 yards from us. We went running for the houses. By this time it was pouring buckets. My hair was ruined, my gown and robe was get soaked. I was trying to keep it out of the mud but it still got mud all over it.  Finally Lord M got tired of listening to me bitch and holler, he ran up and throw me over his shoulders and carried me to the cabin. Eleanor, the crazy witch, was having a field day. She said it reminded her of the swamp. The swamp! She was outside soaking up the rain, dancing it and loving every minute of it. I then decided, I might be a city slicker after all. The boys had caught rides on a couple of 4-wheelers. Screaming at Jacob not to get on one of those things did no good. Joseph and Jacob were off with a bunch of the boys. They hollered back and told me not to worry, they were going mudding. Not to worry, the kid is just now recovering from a bad 4-wheel wreck and I’m not to worry. They came back looking like a bunch of hogs that had been rooting around in the pigs’ pen.

After they all came to their senses, we ended up in one of aunt’s cabins. We were all drown, wet, muddy and a mess. She decide we had to get out of those wet clothes. Great idea, if we had only brought a spare change of clothes. She got to digging around some of her old cedar chests and drug us out some clothes. That is one time I wish I hadn’t left the camera in the car. We looked like the Beverly Hillbillies. But I was just thankful to have dry clothes on. Now you have to imagine this, after we got our dry clothes on we went and sit beside this beautiful fireplace. It wasn’t your average run of the mill fireplace. It was a huge, stone fireplace that my uncle had built himself in the cabin. It had a wide opening for the fire and it had a huge cast iron pot hung over the fire. My aunt had been cooking some stew for supper the next day. But it was gorgeous sitting beside that old fireplace, watching the flames roar. Since it was still Samhain, we ended up sitting around the fireplace and talking about our ancestors. I have to admit the mountains is full of spirits that wander the night of Samhain. My aunt, who is a very powerful witch, called forth several of my ancestors and they appeared. She talked to them and then after she established they were who they said they were, she let me talk to them. I got to talk to several of my ancestors that I had never seen or spoke to in my life. It was pure magick. We stayed up all night.I don’t know if it was because we were excited about Samhain or else we were scared to death by the lightning striking the trees and the storm.

With the dawn of first light, it was still pouring buckets. We had a mudslide during the night. One of the cabins went down the mountain. The men braved the mud and went to see if the people in the cabin were alright. Thankfully, they were able to get out of the cabin just in time. Then there was trees down every where you looked, rocks and mud blocking the roads, not to mention the water. We drove teeny tiny cars up there. If we had gotten in them to leave, we would have been washed away. It didn’t seem to phase any of my kinfolks, they drug out the canoes and the make-shift boats and carried on. My aunt’s cabin sits on top of a little ridge and below us was a running stream(which normally wasn’t there). A couple of men came rowing up to the bottom of the ridge and came up to the cabin. They came to check to see if we were alright and if we needed anything. They also informed us that the roads were washed out right now and we were stuck there. I asked him how long it might take for the roads to clear. He told me after the water went down and everybody pitched in, a day or two. Just what I didn’t want to hear.

Thursday and Friday, we did nothing except sit in the cabin. I would go out on the porch and take Jacob and Joseph with me, especially when my aunt and Eleanor got to talking about “that good old magick.” Jacob kept telling me he wanted to learn, he wanted to learn. I told him, he didn’t want to learn the kind of magick they were talking about. Eleanor and my aunt occasionally had arguments about which kind of magick was better mountain magick or swamp magick. Lord M took off and went to help the men starting to clear the logs and trees out of the way. Amazingly enough, the lightning striking all those trees didn’t bother them. They just said they wouldn’t have to cut any trees down for firewood this winter.

As I stood on the porch and watched everyone at work, I realized perhaps this is the way to live. Simple, thankful for every thing nature gifted you with, not a care in the world or not even caring to communicate or co-exist in the world I had come to love. It is funny, all these years I have run up there and run back. I had never really stopped to realize that the mountains hold my roots. I am part of these people and part of the mountain. I am part of their culture and never stopped to realize how fortunate I really was. I came to the realization that is why my mother always came back to the mountains every time she could. Her roots were here and she was part of the mountains. The mountains called to her to come home. She brought me up there so I could remember I was part of the mountains and my roots were there. That was something she never wanted me to forget. It all came flooding back to me. Perhaps we got flooded in for a reason, who knows. But I do know one thing, I realized something I had forgotten or took for granted. These people are my family, my roots are there and I am part of that mountain. I now knew what my mother wanted me to know and never forget or take for granted. To always be proud of where I came from and uphold the traditions I was taught. Perhaps everything happens for a reason, hmm….

We finally got to leave up there this morning around 6 in the morning. We had to wait till we could see where the roads were suppose to be. Part of me was wanting to come home so bad. The other part of me told me I was leaving my home. It was bittersweet leaving this time, I had never felt that before. I hated to leave my family behind. The few days I spent with them brought back my childhood. Watching them and how simple they live, most of us today couldn’t live like that. Their life is so simple. So tranquil and peaceful. I watched my aunt do a parting and safe travel ritual for us before we left. I saw the tears in her eyes and she saw the tears in mine. I told her that I had first thought spending those few days we were up there would be torture. Instead, it wasn’t. I learned so much about myself and I thanked her for it. I promised that my visits would be more frequent. I knew now why my mother always had to come back to the mountains and now I understand why I must return whenever I can.

As we got in the cars to leave, I walked back up to my aunt and other family members and told them something I had never told them. That was I loved them and I thanked them. We bid our farewells with tears in our eyes but with the promise that every chance we got we would return.  We got home this morning around 11 or 12 o’clock. I am tired and give out but I am also refreshed and have a new outlook on life. I guess the horror of the mudslides, rock slides and swelling creeks gave me a spiritual awakening which I have needed for a long time.

I know Lady B said she was going to put some information on the WOTC tomorrow. Lynette is going to try too also. I am going to go take a long, hot bath and then go pass out. It will probably be a fight with the boys and me who gets to the tub first but they have a shower they can fight over. I just want to relax and enjoy this feeling I brought back with me from the mountains. I will probably sleep in tomorrow. Like I said Lady B and Lynette are going to try to put some info on here for you tomorrow. When I do get up, I have a pile of muddy clothes to conquer.

Oh, it is great to be back home. Sorry about the book but I could write more, but I don’t want to bore you to tears. Remember set those clocks back, check those smoke alarms batteries and have a very beautiful evening. I will see you Monday, Even though I was in the mountains, I still thought about all of you. I realize how much I missed all of you. I guess I am one lucky witch, I have the best of both worlds.

Love ya to pieces,

Lady of the Abyss

Hate to say it, but we are up a creek without a paddle

I wanted to drop you a quick note and I mean quick. Well I honestly don’t know how quick it will be because we are using dial-up this morning, something I haven’t used in forever. After Wednesday’s posts (Samhain), we immediately left for Eastern Kentucky. The reason being I had caught enough flax over being their High Priestess and not attending their coven meetings. I had been having a woman stand in for me but that was not good enough. We had listened to the weather reports at home before we left. It was called for the area back home to be hit by a massive rain cell moving through. Thus, everyone changed the trick-or-treat date for the kids to Tuesday. Anyway, we watched the weather and that band that was suppose to bring all the rain was suppose to miss this area. Keyword, “suppose too!”

When we left Paducah, it was pouring down rain. We eventually out ran the rain and thought we were in the clear. Brother, did I think wrong. We had our gathering before the actual coven ritual was suppose to start, everything was lovely. We even made it through the coven’s Samhain ritual without a drop of rain. So everyone was pleased with the ritual, it was a success and now I am hooked for Yule. As we were getting ready to leave it came a cloud burst, I have never seen so much rain in my life. We decided we would wait the rain out because you couldn’t even see across the street to the houses over there. We stayed up to 2:00 a.m. waiting the rain out. It never let up. I believe it poured even harder. We decided that it would be too risky to drive in that kind of weather. So we decided to spend the night. We all crowded into various cabins and houses and made ourselves at home.

The next morning, when we got up, you could not even see anything but water everywhere. I mean I love water but this was a little too much for even me. It was still drizzling Thursday morning when we got up. By that time you couldn’t tell where the roads were or where the creek beds started or stopped. So we are basically flooded in.

This morning (Friday), the water is starting to slowly go down. I seriously doubt that we make it out of here today. There will be mud in the roads, tree branches to clear and not to mention the rocks or boulders that have found their way into the road. I am hoping we will be on our way Saturday, hoping. These people are hard workers and they depend on the roads up here as their means to the outside world. Along with  them, the men that came with us will be pitching in also. We are having a good time with our family and friends, I just wish it was under different circumstances.

I wanted to drop you a note and let you know what was going on and why the WOTC was down for another day. I hope you understand, I figure when Yule rolls around I will be writing another one of these messages. But then, we will be snowed into the Spring thaw. We will be back as soon as the roads are passable and please keep us in your prayers that we make it home safely.

Till then….

Love ya,

Lady of the Abyss

P. S.

Anyone got a boat, come and get us, lol!
