With superpowers that range from flying faster than a speeding bullet to living under water and commanding the seas, our favorite superheroes can draw strength from all the horoscope signs.
Meet all the superheroes of the zodiac!
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Aries are fearless leaders, and none more fearless than Captain America. As the leader of the Avengers, Captain America relies on his physical strength, speed and agility to stay one step ahead of his foes. Active, athletic and energetic like a true Aries Ram, Captain America wields his indestructible shield against injustice, leading the way into the battle to protect freedom.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Taurus is known for being stubborn, but that also indicates the kind of sheer determination and willpower demonstrated by Hal Lantern and the intergalactic crime-fighting force we know as the Green Lantern Corps. Just like all pleasure-loving Bulls, each member of the Green Lantern possesses a power ring and a power lantern that gives them control over the physical world. If we had to guess, the Green Lanterns probably like spaghetti, too.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
True to the dual nature of Gemini, The Wonder Twins’ powers are activated only when they touch each other and speak the words “Wonder Twin powers activate! Shape of… Form of…” As the changeable communicators of the zodiac, it’s telling these Twins always have a new form to morph into — and also telling that without each other their powers are useless. And like most multitasking Gemini Twins, the Wonder Twins have the power to be in two places at once!
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Sensitive, caring cancers are known for sometimes being shy and wanting to withdraw or hide away from the world. How wonderful to be able to disappear via the superpowers of the Invisible Woman, also known as Sue Storm. Like most Cancer women, Sue Storm is nurturing and highly protective of her home, creating a force-field of protection around her Fantastic Four family.
Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22)
Drama-loving Leos will identify with wise-cracking webcrawler Spiderman, who — unlike his unassuming alter ego Peter Parker — does not shy away from being the center of attention when he’s saving the day. Spidey also has that typical Leonine love of romance, wooing the vivacious Mary Jane Watson like the Leo ladykiller he is.
Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22)
With his inherent reliability and critical eye for detail, Robin is the ideal Virgo choice to assist Batman in fighting crime. Virgos are known for their smarts and their dark sense of humor, which are both evidenced by Robin’s need to do the right thing and his love of perfectly-timed puns.
Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22)
Venus, the planet of love and beauty, rules the balanced sign of Libra, which bodacious Wonder Woman embodies perfectly. WW is gorgeous, kind, friendly and out to fight for fairness. She deflects attacks with a gracious flick of her golden wristbands, and let’s her golden lasso fly in demand that truth be told. Like those born under the sign of the scales, she’s a true diplomat with a hot bod to match.
Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)
Dark and mysterious Scorpios love secrets, and Batman has the biggest secret of all: He doesn’t actually have any superpowers. As Bruce Wayne, he keeps his Bat identity from everyone but Robin, who he relies upon for backup while he plots and schemes – and who he also protects out of fierce loyalty, as any true Scorpio would. One word of caution to Robin? Don’t let Batman down, ‘cause Scorpio has an unforgiving temper and you’ll be driven right out of Gotham City faster that we can say na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BATMAN!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)
Adventure-loving Sagittarius can never stay in one place for too long, which is surely why Thor travels between worlds on his chariot, sporting his archer-esque ensemble of iron gauntlets and a belt of strength. Instead of arrows, Thor’s weapon of choice is the Mjolnir – and enchanted and unbreakable hammer — but his talents are pure Sagittarius: strength, speed and the power of flight.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)
Superman’s horoscope sign is under much debate, most likely because he has two birthdays – one on Krypton and the other on Earth. Because he chose Earth, earthy Capricorn best represents Superman. Like most Caps, the man of steel is grounded, solid and loyal to Lois Lane. He’s also a determined force to be reckoned with, and he will not waver in his fight for truth, Justin and the American way. That is until he gave up his U.S. citizenship. Oops.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)
Quirky Aquarians are eccentric, forward thinking and friendly humanitarians, so when it comes to Aquarian superpowers we look to Professor X. A mutant with the most brilliant mind in the fake universe, Professor X is the world’s most powerful telepath – reading minds and projecting his own thoughts into the minds of others in the truly futuristic way of the water-bearer, an air sign known best for its great mental capacity, new ideas and concepts.
Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20)
Who swims with the Pisces fishes? Why, Aquaman, of course! But Aquaman doesn’t just live beneath the sea and communicate with marine life — he also captures the sensitivity and imagination of Pisces. Changeable, adaptable and understanding of others to the point that he even possesses a healing factor, Aquaman uses his Pisces imagination to whip up tsunamis and wipe out crime, restoring a Piscean peace to the land.
